Ever feel like you're losing touch with what you truly think, feel, and need? In this episode, we explore how to reconnect with your authentic self, even in the chaos of daily life. We'll talk about the small, intentional moments that can bring you back to center—like noticing your feelings, identifying what truly matters, and practicing gratitude. By slowing down and tuning in, you can start to break free from patterns of disconnection and rediscover what makes you you. We'll also dive into why it's so easy to lose this connection in the first place, especially if you grew up in environments where your feelings weren't validated or learned to focus on others to survive. You'll learn how those survival skills can linger into adulthood, keeping you task-focused and outwardly driven, but disconnected from your inner truth. Most importantly, this episode will show you practical ways to start shifting that narrative, one small, powerful moment at a time. 3 Key Takeaways 1. Small acts of awareness, like naming your feelings or pausing to reflect, can create profound changes in how you connect with yourself over time. 2. Practicing gratitude not only shifts your perspective during tough times but also rewires your brain to focus on positivity and possibility. 3. Understanding how childhood patterns of disconnecting from your emotions show up in adulthood can help you reclaim your authentic self and start honoring your needs. Every small moment of awareness is a step toward showing up for yourself and building trust in who you are. Get your FREE Boundaries Ebook here! This episode was one of the most impactful for me this year, so much so, that I'm releasing it on video and making it a 2 part special. Palak is the Founder and CEO of Embiria {experience}, a speaker, investor and author of the newly released book Beautiful Everydays: A Guide to Living in the Here and Now. Through her work, she inspires a shift away from digital distractions toward embracing in person experiences, gatherings and the beauty of living life in the present moment. In our conversation, Palak catches me in a tough moment where I acknowledge how little time is spent (after work, sleep, chores, errands) on cultivating true joy. She teaches me the importance of and how to find the joyful moments in the little everyday things. In part 2, I'm going to share some real takeways I implemented from this episode and their impact along with a resource guide on what has helped me cultivate more joy. Over the course of a 40 year career, Ron Cephas Jones has built a beautiful body of work ranging from theater in New York City with the Labyrinth Theater Company, to an award winning performance in the NBC television hit, This is Us . Today's guest has learned the craft purely through experience and now teaches the art of breaking down the script to students at the California Institute of the Arts. His credits include the role of William Hill in This is Us, Truth Be Told, The Get Down, Luke Cage, Looking for Alaska, Mr. Robot, Low Winter Sun and many more. Today, Ron breaks down his technique for building dynamic characters by shedding light on all those actor terms like “beats”, “transitions”, “specificity” and everything in between. Through it all, whether it was taking odd jobs in New York, or his two Emmy award wins, Ron Cephas Jones has never forgotten what is most important to him: being a father to his Emmy award winning daughter, Jasmine Cephas Jones, and being happy as an artist. Soon after, Campbell's sold Arnott's to private equity firm KKR. Jenni Dill, the Chief Marketing Officer of Arnott's Group, Imogen Hewitt, Publicis Groupe Chief Media Officer and Spark Foundry ANZ CEO, and Toby Aldred, Saatchi & Saatchi Managing Director and Chief Client Officer of The Neighbourhood, share their ideas and observations on how the model has evolved over the six-year partnership with Arnott's and what the ingredients are in a successful integrated model partnership. Did you know that you can train your mind to look for good in the world, and to notice little signs and wonders that God sends to show us that we are loved? SQuire Rushnell and Louise DuArt, authors of the Godwinks books, share how they've begun the habit of noticing little moments that are so personal to their lives, they can only attribute them to being divinely orchestrated. Quotes “Godwinks are two remarkable experiences that come together, and the cause is God. Divine arrangements that have made that happen. We start looking for these Godwinks; we start realizing every day that God is communicating to us in His own unique way.” – SQuire Rushnell “Just look for your Godwinks. They're always there. They're messages of hope. And right now, in our time, we see what's going on in the world. We know that God has a plan and a purpose. We have to trust Him. And along our path, He will give us these little Godwinks to say, ‘Hey, kid, I'm thinking about you, I love you, and you're not alone.'” –Louise DuArt “It stands to reason to me that if we want to have a good relationship with God, we just have to talk to Him. Talk to Him all the time. Talk to Him tonight. Talk to Him in the morning. It's just a conversation.” – SQuire Rushnell Guest's Links SQuire Rushnell's Instagram SQuire Rushnell's Twitter SQuire Rushnell's Website Godwinks on Facebook Louise DuArt's Facebook Louise DuArt's Twitter Resources Mentioned in This Episode Good Morning America ASPCA.ORG Rescued by Ruby Connect with Sally Lloyd-Jones Jesus Storybook Bible Facebook Jesus Storybook Bible Instagram Sally's website Sally's Facebook Sally's Instagram *Episode produced by Four Eyes Media*

You may have heard of triggers, but what about glimmers? While a trigger is a situation in which you're reminded of a painful experience and may even find yourself in a stress response like fight or flight, a glimmer is a situation in which you feel positive emotions like safety or joy. Identifying and engaging with your glimmers is a simple tool you can use to feel better in the day to day and set yourself up for more satisfaction in the long run. What you'll learn from this episode: Why a trigger may be happening for you and what you can do about it. How to find the useful content within an existing trigger. How to identify your glimmers and why you might want to. What glimmer-seeking is and how to do it. Get full show notes and more information here: https://www.korilinn.com/180
On episode 44 of the B-Side podcast, I catch up with Toby Aldred, the newly appointed Managing Director of Saatchi & Saatchi Australia and Chief Client Officer The Neighbourhood. With close to two decades worth of experience at two of the world's leading ad agencies, Saatchi & Saatchi and M&C Saatchi, in London and Sydney, Toby's insights on the business of creativity are remarkable. As a long-termer at Saatchi & Saatchi, Toby's track record speaks volumes. From spearheading Effie award-winning brand campaigns to nurturing client relationships, he's at the forefront of creative effectiveness and client success.Toby and I go behind the scenes on the recent award-winning "Life's Little Moments" campaign for Arnott's, where we explore some of the strategic thinking that went into it, and some of the marketing decisions that led to its success. We jam on commercial creativity, leadership, and all things advertising effectiveness, cricket (which I know very little about), and most importantly why he called his cavoodle 'Kitten'. He shares his passion for collaboration, dedication to his team, maintaining perspective, and a healthy work-life balance. This episode offers a candid glimpse into Toby's world, showcasing his commitment to driving results and shaping the advertising landscape. His down-to-earth nature, super sharp wit, and insights into the industry make for a wonderfully informative and inspiring listen. So grab yourself a cuppa and an Arnott's biscuit, and enjoy my chat with Toby. Cheers. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

So often, we find ourselves living for the big moments. Wedding days and graduations, vacations and weekends. While all those things are good and dandy, and certainly deserve to be celebrated, if we place most of our focus on them, we lose the beauty in the little moments. And really, it's the little moments that make up the big moments. Find out exactly what we mean in this week's episode.
