The term “Agile” is so overloaded today that if an organization says they are Agile it provides precious little information about the them. Agile, in its current general understanding, has become a management fad. Like other fads before it, TQM, Reengineering, Six Sigma, it will go out of favor as more and more companies try to “install the Agile” and find that their problems do not magically disappear. This doesn't mean however that businesses leaders should abandon the philosophical framework that was the original understanding of Agile. On the contrary, in times of great change such as these businesses leaders should be doubling down on true agility, but that doesn't happen by hiring big consulting firms and implementing a pre-packaged framework. Rick will interview David Stackleather to gain insight behind why he feels the collapse is inevitable.
