In today's episode, I had the honor of sitting down with my great friend, David Osborn. Most people know David as a real estate powerhouse and co-founder of GoBundance, but to me, he's also a man of deep purpose, adventure, and love for his family. Our conversation dives into the moments that shaped David's journey—from growing up on military bases to leading bucket-list adventures for his tribe. He also shares a life-changing story of traveling to Nepal with his son, Luke, to volunteer at an orphanage—an experience that revealed the true meaning of wealth and legacy. We cover: Parenting and Travel: How traveling with children cultivates empathy, gratitude, and leadership. David's Wild Childhood Adventures: Hitchhiking through the UK at 14 and learning resilience at a tough boarding school. Teaching Kids Gratitude: Why David brought his son Luke to Nepal and the life-changing impact it had on both of them. Balancing Wealth and Values: How to raise grounded children in a life of abundance. Building Community: The power of vulnerability and authentic relationships in living a meaningful life. ______________________________

Welcome back to Making Bank. On today's episode, we have a compilation of previous episodes with Hollis Carter, Brendan Kane, Riley Dayne, Todd Brown, David Osborn, Cassidy Phillips and Max Finn and in this episode you will hear tips and tricks from top entrepreneurs about the guide to success.   (2:49) Hollis Carter Never bite more than you can chew. Sometimes when you get inspired by a project, you tend to want to do it only to find out that it actually takes a lot of work. You need time, resources and a lot of planning. As a result you get overwhelmed. That is why you should never take more than what you can handle.   (8:22) Brendan Kane You can get a big A list celebrity, but if you don't have content that's compelling, nobody cares. There is so much content out there, people are not going to have time for yours. Remember you can interview people who are not celebrities as well as long as their story is compelling.    (12:40) Riley Dayne The word passion today gets a bad rep. Many will say don't follow the passion, follow the money, however passion is important because it gives you that power and drive you need on a day where you feel like giving up. It gives you that extra push. You will always find roadblocks but passion is the key ingredient to help you get through them.    (23:41) Todd Brown One of the biggest mistakes that entrepreneurs make is starting with a product. Many entrepreneurs fall in love with a particular product and when their marketing doesn't work, they fail and get crushed. Rather than falling in love with a product, you should fall in love with being an entrepreneur. Doing this gives you the freedom to pick yourself up and move on in case things don't work out.   (30:22) David Osborn Sometimes the journey is the destination. It might seem like it's taking longer for you to be successful but when you look back, you will realize that whatever happened to you, happened for a reason. It got you to where you are right now. So no matter how long it takes, just remember that every single step matters in the journey of success.    (33:27) Cassidy Phillips You gotta work with your children, not for your children. Include your children in some of the hardships you live rather than just handing them over your wealth. Be the responsible badass parent and hard working entrepreneur you are so that your children can look at you and realize your work and also work as hard as you do.   (39:04) Max Finn The most common mistake that entrepreneurs make is they want to control everything, they want to do everything by themselves. The thing is once you do this, you will soon have a constant decline around areas that you are not looking at. That is why you should hire experts to take care of the things you cannot supervise. This will help you grow more in the long run.   Tags: @hollisc  @brendankane  @rileydayne  @toddbrown @iamdavidosborn  @thecassidyphillips  @maxfinn

In this episode of the Millionaire Mindcast, we have a return guest from episode 2, David Osborn who shares insights and wisdom on how to navigate entrepreneurship in today's environment, why spending money and enjoying life matters, how to deal with impostor syndrome, how to be successful in real estate, and smart and strategic way to build wealth!  David is a father, an incredible entrepreneur, real estate investor, speaker, and wealth-building mentor,  traveler, author of the best-selling book “Wealth Can't Wait”, co-founder of GoBundance, an accountability-based group of entrepreneurs, and sits on the board of the 1Life Fully Lived non-profit, a member of YPO/WPO Austin and TIGER 21, and contributes to various causes from fighting cancer to building clean water wells through Charity Water. He is also the principal owner of the 6th largest real estate company in the US, operating principal and/or investor in five Keller Williams Regions and nine Market Centers owns 20+ real estate related ventures, principle of an REI private equity group, and the operator of over 35 profitable real estate-related businesses in the US and Canada.   David got around with wealth as a kid. At a young age, he decided to be rich like his uncle. He was a great student and worked very hard throughout his life. He believes that it takes some sacrifice, some process, and some pain to build wealth. At 37, David bought his first new car. He realized that although he needed to live below his means but also spending money and enjoying life really matters. In spite of being successful in his journey, David shows up being humble and always shows the eagerness to learn from high-level people. He keeps looking for winners who can teach him anything that would be useful to reach his goals. Besides, he is a black mamba when it comes to his goals. David strikes, sleeps with the approach, and gets his goals done. In fact, he maintains a habit tracker that tracks all the things he wants to get through. Also, he tried to give value to others by any means like through his wealth-building mentorship. Now, David has 101 single-family homes and makes a million a year without doing anything. His best advice, don't wait and waste time buying real estate. Do it now! Some Questions I Ask: Where did your journey start? (03:04) When did you actually start to feel rich? (06:15) How did you get the clarity of when and how do you give yourself permission and start playing up to higher levels and creating bigger opportunities for yourself? (10:54) What do you say to people that are trying to shape and expand their identity to level up in life? (14:43) If you were to boil it down one or two habits or rhythms in your life that have just been in consistent repetition of actions that you've taken over the course of your entire career and lifestyle or recently over the last few years, which ones come to your mind for you? (24:53) What has been your secret to success in terms of bringing really exceptionally talented and skilled but also just well-rounded human beings into your world? (28:13) What is it that keeps you consistently committed to that discipline of networking, of education, of growth? How did you stay complacent in the world that many people would say is ideal and you don't need to do anything anymore?  (31:57) What were some of the things that showed for you last year and what you may be focusing on this year in terms of growth? (34:49) What do you see the opportunities that you're focused on maybe in your world and what are you hearing in some of the networks that you're involved in? What are people excited about? Where's the money flowing to right now? (39:45) What's your message to the people that want to build wealth and create an amazing lifestyle for themselves and the reality of the timeline and the discipline to unlock it?  (45:07) In This Episode, You Will Learn: Living below your means while spending money and enjoying life (11:25) Likability Formula & Internal Family Systems Concept (19:42) Quotes:  “Life always boils down to a decision: Do you want to be wealthy or not?” “Don't wait to buy real estate, buy real estate and wait.” “Repetition is the mother of all success.” Connect with David Osborn on:  Website Instagram Wealth Can't Wait book by David Osborn Sponsor Links: HelloFresh: Visit https://hellofresh.com/50mindcast or Use the code 50MINDCAST to get 50% off plus free shipping! If asked, most entrepreneurs would describe themselves as mavericks, rebels, or even ‘unemployable.' They possess a unique combination of drive, ambition, and intelligence that makes working for someone else difficult if not impossible. This burning desire to go their own way means that entrepreneurs tend to take an unusual approach to education. Such is the case with today's guest. In today's episode of The Greatness Machine, Darius chats with David Osborn, a self-proclaimed 'chaotic entrepreneur' and principal owner of the 6th largest real estate company in the US, with 4,500+ agents responsible for over 19,000 transaction sides and $10 billion in sales in 2017. Born in the US but raised in Europe, David was selected as a National Merit Scholar, he attended the University of Texas and graduated with an economics degree. You'll discover a little about David's unusual background and his belief that entrepreneurs often have an aggressive father in their background to inspire them. You'll find out why he started working in real estate with his mother almost as an afterthought, with no plans to stay in the career. You'll learn what it truly means to 'pivot' as an entrepreneur and how he's used it to achieve great success. You'll also discover the power of investing in passive income vehicles as a way to ensure success and weather crises. Join Darius and David as they map out the unusual path of an entrepreneur, and discuss why money should be more of a means to a goal rather than a goal in and of itself. Topics include: How growing up in Europe gave David an appreciation for the US, and how he ended up working in real estate almost by accident What it means to ‘pivot' as an entrepreneur The importance of investing in passive income vehicles. David has completed a blog which includes a form that can be completed and sent to your employer to request a RIDDOR is completed, David explains this is not time limited and therefore this can still be done and would help those living with Long Covid for any future support, David likens this to the armed forces compensation scheme. You can find the link to this below and is worth completing. We discuss CATA involvement with the covid and inquiry and much more.I hope this is a useful podcast, as always please take care. Matt King is David Osborn's right hand man, working as his COO and chief of staff. He's lived in Austin, Texas for the last seven years, partly thanks to our very own Diego Corzo. But before financial freedom, multiple businesses, and entrepreneurship, Matt came from humble beginnings. Born and raised to a middle class family, Matt grew up with his parents pretty much working their whole lives. Because of that, he learned early on not to squander the opportunities he'd been given through the sacrifices his parents made. And curios enough, it's that same generosity that's afforded him the good fortune he's been given by many people throughout his life. And that's where we meet Matt in this episode. From dropping out of college to print T-shirts to being at the table with multi millionaires to even being a featured guest at the Rat Race To FI Conference in December 2021, Matt exemplifies what it means to stay curious and have a servant's heart. Up to date, the biggest focus for his life for the foreseeable future is to just continue to become a better and better version of himself, by being a better husband, being a better dad, being a better businessperson, and being a better student. If asked, most entrepreneurs would describe themselves as mavericks, rebels or even ‘unemployable.' They possess a unique combination of drive, ambition and intelligence that makes working for someone else difficult if not impossible. Enjoy! What You'll Learn in this Show: How growing up in Europe gave David an appreciation for the US, and how he ended up working in real estate almost by accident. What it means to ‘pivot' as an entrepreneur. The importance of investing in passive income vehicles. And so much more...   Resources: The Real Darius Facebook Instagram YouTube Twitter LinkedIn www.dariusclass.com   This podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Chartable - https://chartable.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices.
