I'm not a supermom. But I always wanted to be one and have it all: family, career/business that I love, AND the time for myself. But that ambition without proper stress resistance and resilience killed my mom (cancer at 48) and drove me to the edge of burnout twice. Only when I saw the disastrous effects of my anger, stress, and resentment on my little daughter, I knew I had to change... Since then, not only have I healed but I also helped thousands of other women all around the world through trauma-informed therapy and mental fitness training. And I decided to share the most vulnerable and valuable pieces of my and their journey here. Because if we got out of that dark, stuck place of feeling like a terrible mom, YOU CAN DO IT TOO. So choose the episode that speaks to you and tune in!

Send us a textIn this deeply moving interview, Jeanette shares one of the most powerful transformation stories I've ever witnessed - how healing her own childhood wounds completely freed her 7-year-old daughter's spirit in just three months. As a Mexican expatriate mom living in the Netherlands with no support system, Jeanette was trapped in an overwhelming cycle. Her daughter had begun hearing "voices" that told her not to trust her mom, to fight her brother, and that she was "silly" - the exact same critical voices Jeanette had heard as a child growing up as the third of four children with little attention and no emotional support. The little girl had become the classic "good girl" - quiet, compliant, always focusing on what was wrong instead of finding joy. She was unconsciously repeating the same wounded patterns her mother had learned.Despite trying psychologists, parenting courses, and religious guidance, nothing created lasting change until Jeanette discovered the connection between her childhood wounds and her daughter's suffering. In this raw, honest conversation, Jeanette reveals:How growing up as the third of four children with no emotional support created patterns she was unconsciously repeatingThe specific brain exercises that helped her regain control of her emotions in just one weekHow her transformation affected not just her parenting, but her work relationships and life decisionsThe moment she realized her "good girl" daughter was repeating generational patternsHer brave decision to pursue divorce and create a healthier future for her childrenWhat makes this episode particularly powerful is witnessing Jeanette's courage - someone who usually "sits in the back" stepping forward to share her story publicly for the first time.If you're feeling trapped by your circumstances, overwhelmed by your emotions, or wondering if real change is possible - Jeanette's story proves that healing can happen faster than you think, and that courage can emerge from the most difficult situations.Support the showPrefer watching this podcast on video? Send us a textIn this powerful interview, Ines shares how she transformed from a constantly triggered, yelling mom to creating a peaceful home in just four months. As a working mom managing solo parenting during the week, Ines found herself screaming at her six-year-old son, her partner, and even colleagues at work. Despite trying mental load coaching, parenting books, and even inner child workbooks, nothing seemed to create lasting change. The breakthrough? Discovering that her uncontrollable reactions weren't about her son's behavior at all, but about wounds from her own childhood - where she was the "responsible" middle child, never allowed to play, and never told she was loved unconditionally. In this raw, honest conversation, Ines reveals:The specific situations that used to trigger her worst mommy tantrumsHow she went from dreading bedtime to creating a peaceful routineThe shocking moment her own mother said "I love you too" for the first timeHow healing her triggers saved her relationship with her partnerIf you've tried everything to stop yelling at your kids but nothing has worked, this episode reveals why - and shows how healing your own childhood wounds can transform not just your parenting, but every relationship in your life. The ripple effect of this healing extends to three generations - proving it's never too late to break generational patterns.Support the showPrefer watching this podcast on video? Send us a textIn this deeply personal episode, I share the real story behind my 3-year shaved head journey – and why I'm now letting my hair grow again. This isn't a beauty update. It's a healing revelation. For generations, women in my family measured their worth through appearance and achievement. Always proving. Never enough. I inherited this painful pattern, relying on my looks and intelligence to feel worthy of love and belonging. When I finally began healing this generational wound, my razor became an unexpected ally. By shaving my head, I wasn't rejecting beauty – I was rejecting the need for external validation. In this episode, I reveal:- How my shaved head became physical proof I no longer needed others' approval- The unexpected freedom I found in letting go of my "pretty girl" identity- Why growing my hair now isn't a step backward, but a sign of deeper healing- How our appearance choices often reflect our internal healing journeyWhether you've struggled with beauty standards or fought to break free from generational patterns, this episode invites you to look beyond the surface and recognize how our external choices can reflect our internal healing.Your appearance journey might look different from mine – but the path toward feeling whole, worthy, and free always begins within. Here's my video of my hair story: Why I shaved my head - aka how much do you really care about what others think of you?Support the showPrefer watching this podcast on video? Send us a textEver feel like you have a "dark side" that comes out when you yell at your kids?I used to think my mommy tantrums were proof I was broken. That if people saw this side of me, they'd run away. I'd end up alone. And I realized I felt that way even before I became a mom. Always hiding or changing who I was, to make people like me.But guess what? There is no dark side.In this episode, I share the truth that changed everything for me:What if those mommy tantrums and your strong emotions in general aren't evidence of your failure, but signals from unhealed parts of yourself desperate to be integrated? In this episode, I reveal:Why your "worst" parenting moments are actually generational healing trying to happenHow to recognize when your inner child—not your adult self—is reacting to your kids (or adults)The liberating truth that transforms shame into healing opportunityWhat becomes possible when you integrate these wounded parts instead of hiding themIf you've ever looked at yourself after yelling at your kids and thought, "Who is this monster?", this episode will change how you see yourself forever. This isn't just about becoming a calmer parent. It's about becoming whole by reclaiming the parts of yourself you've been taught to reject.Support the showPrefer watching this podcast on video? Send us a textMy personal story about setting boundaries with adult bullies or strangers is in the context of racism. But I use it as an example to unpack the general principles that are applicable in any situation where you feel verbally/emotionally attacked by another adult.I share it also as a big-picture inspiration. Because you are not here just to be a mom.You are and deserve to be so much more than that. And so often it seems impossible to even imagine that you could ever feel good enough, not needing anyone's approval or validation...So, wouldn't it be fun if...?Wouldn't it be fun if you did not get triggered by other people's judgment or criticism?Wouldn't it be fun if you could set healthy boundaries without shrinking or overreacting aggressively?Wouldn't it be fun if you started liking who you are? :)Support the showPrefer watching this podcast on video? Send us a textScared of looking at where your uncontrollable anger comes from, and why you have trouble managing your big emotions? It's completely normal, especially if you did already some talk therapy and all it did was remind you of all that past pain, making you feel like sh#t, without giving you any tools actually to stop it and feel good enough, happy, have a healthy self-confidence again... Send us a text"You're a bad person, shame on you!"Ever felt judged that way?If you grew up being a "good girl", shy, quiet, obedient... And then something snapped and you started standing up for yourself, feeling resentful and frustrated with people walking all over you, then where is the right balance between "too soft" and too aggressive? And how to not feel that deep pain of being judged, never quite feeling good enough, never safe to show/be who you are, because people wouldn't understand. How to stop feeling like you need to be the chameleon, just to blend in, not stick out too much, and stay behind the wall...Because if you show your real face, despite your good intentions and hard effort, they will unfairly judge you.You have two options. You can stay hiding, resentful about how NOT fair this is, feeling like there's something wrong with you.Or you can start healing.Because it's not about doing more, better, faster...It's not about being quiet enough, more more loud to protect yourself. The only way to feel ok, how to love yourself and all your beautiful (and not so fun) imperfections, how to use your strengths in a way that feels good (not just to compensate for fear of being judged), ... the only way is to heal.Only then will it all make sense and you will find peace and comfort in who you are. That's what this Zen Supermom podcast episode is about.Support the showPrefer watching this podcast on video? Send us a textIt's completely normal to be skeptical when you see someone online presenting what they do...The internet is full of "experts" and scammers these days, right? The sentence that I hear the most often is that "it's too good to be true to stop yelling at my kids and start being in control of my emotions ( = less stress, less arguments, and power-fights, more peace and joy) in just 3 months"So hear it from yourself from a mom who used to yell and stress, feeling completely powerless and clueless on how to make her daughter listen more, be on time, and make less mess. Send us a textI'm literally in awe and speechless.I knew how powerful the process I developed was for women. But only as I spoke to Sonny, one of the men who is just completing the Zen Superdad program, I fully realize what a life-changing and deeply meaningful impact this work can have for men too.Don't take my word for it, just watch for yourself so that it doesn't sound like I'm 'tooting my own horn'...I think there's only a handful of men I've met in my entire life who were so aware, so deeply connected, and so strong that they would be able to do what Sonny just did - to be able to have an open talk about their life, the mistakes they've done, the struggle and pain they have felt, and how courageously and relentlessly they turned it around. So if you're sitting there, feeling deeply unheard, misunderstood, alone feeling cut off from your life, and in your relationships, then this talk was meant for you.----Notes and links mentioned in the episode: To book your seat at the next FREE, LIVE "Daddy Tantrum" Training, email us at hi@zensupermom.comSupport the Show.Want to know the two keys to becoming a calm mom and stop yelling? Send us a Text Message.I'm worried I traumatized my kids by yelling at them, stressing, not having time to listen or play with them... Did I damage them forever, just like my strict/yelling/stressing parents impacted my life? Or can I help them somehow?I get this question a lot on the free Mommy Tantrum Training, and in the 1-1 assessment calls I'm doing with women interested in starting this work. Often more than for themselves, they want to heal their anger (and people-pleasing) because of their children. So what is really possible? How can the healed you feel like, and what impact is that going to have on your kids? And can you even help your shy introverted son, or a manipulative, controlling, aggressive daughter change, and become a healthy, happy kid?Or is this part of their genetics and identity, and this is who they will be for the rest of their lives?Listen in, this podcast episode is for you.Watch this episode on YouTube as well!Support the Show.Want to know the two keys to becoming a calm mom and stop yelling? ""I struggle mostly with being overwhelmed and overstimulated and keeping calm in those situations. I do stay calm but not to the best of my ability. I feel like I'm tired a lot. I have two children aged 4 and 2.""I think my main struggles are dealing with anger in the moment when I can't step away as I need to be present for the kids. I've tried lots of the usual techniques - breathing counting and they don't work. Also overstimulation is a big thing for me - when both kids are talking/screaming/crying at the same time I feel my anger rising."Those are just two questions I received from mom fighting with overstimulation, especially with noise. How do you stay calm in these situations? How do you not yell, but also not shut down emotionally? How do you help your kids tone it down and teach them how to manage their emotions in a healthy way, without screaming their head off?Join me in this podcast episode. You're definitely not the only mom struggling with this.Catch this episode on Youtube as well!Support the Show.Want to know the two keys to becoming a calm mom and stop yelling?
