QUEEN FOR A DAY | The Hidden Faith That Changes GenerationsThis Mother's Day message is a powerful reminder that some of the greatest moves of God begin in places nobody sees. In this sermon, we uncover the story of Queen Abi, a woman barely mentioned in Scripture, yet the mother of one of Judah's greatest reforming kings, Hezekiah. While her husband, King Ahaz, led the nation into darkness and idolatry, Abi stayed faithful behind the scenes. Her story proves that you don't have to be famous to be faithful, and you don't have to be visible to be vital. If you've ever felt unnoticed, overlooked, exhausted, or like your prayers aren't making a difference, this message is for you.

Teacher: Kerry BattleWHAT WE COVERThis message is not praise as expression. It is praise as evidence.Tehillim 138–141 establishes how a man is measured under pressure, not by what he says, but by what he does when tested. The psalmist does not speak to comfort. He speaks to reveal.Whole Heart AllegianceTehillim 138:1Praise is not emotion. It is proof of where your heart is assigned.A divided heart is not developing. It is disloyal. The Authority of the WordTehillim 138:2Yahuah has magnified His Word above all. This removes all negotiation. If your life contradicts what is written, you are not aligned, no matter what you claim.Pressure Reveals FoundationTehillim 138:7–8Affliction is not the test.Response is.What you run to under pressureis what you actually trust.Hatred of EvilTehillim 139This chapter removes neutrality. You do not “struggle” with evil. You either hate it, or you protect it.What you tolerateyou are aligned with.Examination of the HeartTehillim 139:23–24Self-examination is not optional. If you avoid it, you are choosing to remain in error. What is not confrontedis not corrected.Separation from the WickedTehillim 140Environment is not passive.Where you remainis what you are becoming.Staying in the path of the wickedis choosing their outcome.Guarding the MouthTehillim 141Speech is not accidental.Your words expose what remains in you. What comes out of youreveals what you have not removed.WHY THIS MESSAGE MATTERSThis message removes distance between hearing and accountability. It does not explain Scripture. It applies it.There is no later. There is no process. There is only alignment or misalignment. This is covenant measurement.SCRIPTURE REFERENCESTehillim (Psalms) 138–141Deuteronomy 6:5Deuteronomy 8:3Deuteronomy 31:6Psalm 1:1Psalm 9:1Psalm 34:13, 19Psalm 97:10Psalm 119:89Proverbs 4:14–15Proverbs 8:13Proverbs 13:3Isaiah 43:2Isaiah 55:11Jeremiah 17:10Lamentations 3:402 Samuel 22:49Amos 5:15ABOUT AHAVA ~ LOVE ASSEMBLYWe teach the pure Word of Yahuah. No religion. No tradition. No compromise.Teaching is established by Scripture only, line upon line, precept upon precept.SUPPORT THE WORK — GIVE VIA ZELLEZelle QR available at:ahavaloveministry.comZelle only.FINAL WORDYou are not being informed. You are being measured.FINAL HEART CHECKWho has your heart? What do you trust under pressure? What are you tolerating? What are you refusing to confront?Where are you choosing to remain? What are your words revealing?

Shabbat Evening LessonTeachers: Kerry & Karen BattleAhava ~ Love AssemblyThis message covers Tehillim (Psalms) 134–137 as a unified covenant system establishing service, source, authority, witness, remembrance, and judgment. These Psalms are not isolated songs. They define covenant position. They reveal that service before Yahuah is continuous, that blessing flows from what He established, that authority belongs to Him alone, that His mercy is testified through witness, that identity must be remembered in exile, and that judgment enforces separation. This teaching establishes that covenant alignment is not seasonal or situational. It is maintained in visibility and in obscurity, in provision and in lack, in freedom and in captivity.WHAT WE COVER IN THIS MESSAGEStanding Service Before YahuahTehillim 134:1–2Service is continual. Standing before Yahuah does not stop when unseen. Position defines whether one is in alignment.Source of Blessing Established by YahuahTehillim 134:3Blessing flows from Tsion, the place Yahuah chose. Source is not self-created. Moving outside His order removes supply.Yahuah's Sovereign Rule Over All ThingsTehillim 135Yahuah acts without limitation. Idols cannot speak, act, or deliver. Authority belongs to Him alone.Covenant Witness Through Repeated MercyTehillim 136Repetition establishes testimony. Every act of Yahuah, creation, deliverance, provision, is tied to His enduring mercy.Remembrance in ExileTehillim 137:1–6Exile exposes whether covenant identity has been maintained. Remembrance preserves identity. Adaptation reveals loss of alignment.Judgment and SeparationTehillim 137:7–9Yahuah remembers and repays. Judgment enforces separation. Alignment determines outcome.WHY THIS MESSAGE MATTERSThese Psalms establish a system:Service establishes positionPosition connects to sourceSource defines supplyAuthority governs allMercy is witnessed through remembranceRemembrance preserves identityJudgment enforces separationThis is covenant function.Service that stops is not service.Source that is self-created is not from Yahuah.Trust placed in what cannot act will fail.Forgetting His works disconnects from covenant.Adapting to captivity removes identity.Aligning with what is judged brings judgment. To carry His Name while living outside this order is misrepresentation.SCRIPTURE REFERENCES FOR STUDYTehillim 134–137Tehillim 2:11Tehillim 132:13Tehillim 76:2Tehillim 94:1–2Deuteronomy 6:13Deuteronomy 10:8Deuteronomy 12:5Deuteronomy 19:15Deuteronomy 32:35, 41–43Deuteronomy 6:12Deuteronomy 30:1–3Exodus 27:20–21Exodus 12:141 Kings 8:29, 46–481 Chronicles 23:30Isaiah 46:9–10Daniel 4:17Job 42:2Psalm 78:4Obadiah 1:10–15All teaching is established precept upon precept.ABOUT AHAVA ~ LOVE ASSEMBLYWe teach the Pure Word of Yahuah. No religion. No tradition. No compromise. Our teaching follows the Sovereign Blueprint:Law | Precept | Example | Wisdom | Understanding | Prudence | Conviction | Fruit of the Ruach | Final Heart CheckSUPPORT THE WORK — GIVE VIA ZELLEZelle QR available at:ahavaloveministry.comZelle only. Teachers: Kerry & Karen BattleAhava ~ Love AssemblyLeviticus 17 establishes one of the most foundational principles in the Torah.Life belongs to Yahuah.Blood represents life.Because life belongs to Yahuah, it cannot be treated casually. This chapter governs how sacrifice must be brought, how blood must be handled, and how the people of Israel must acknowledge the life of every creature. What appears to be slaughter regulations reveals a much deeper covenant reality: worship must remain under the authority of Yahuah and life must always be treated as sacred.Leviticus 17 stands between the purification laws of chapters 11–16 and the moral commands beginning in chapter 18. It establishes the governing principle that explains why the coming commands carry life-and-death weight. This is not ritual instruction alone. This is covenant government for a people living near the presence of Yahuah.────────────────────WHAT WE COVER IN THIS MESSAGECentralized Sacrifice Protects the CampLeviticus 17:1–7Animals sacrificed for food or offering must be brought to the entrance of the tent of meeting. The Torah provides a cleansing process so the people may remain within covenant order.Precepts:Leviticus 11:39–40Numbers 19:11────────────────────WHY THIS MESSAGE MATTERSLife belongs to Yahuah.Blood represents life.Worship must remain under divine authority. When life is treated casually, worship becomes corrupted. When worship becomes corrupted, a nation drifts into idolatry.Leviticus 17 protects Israel from returning to the spiritual systems of the nations. This chapter teaches the people of Yahuah to treat life with reverence and to keep worship governed by His command.────────────────────SCRIPTURE REFERENCES FOR STUDYGenesis 9Deuteronomy 12Leviticus 11Numbers 19Joshua 221 Samuel 132 Chronicles 26Precept upon precept.Law interpreting law.Scripture reinforcing Scripture.────────────────────ABOUT AHAVA ~ LOVE ASSEMBLYWe teach the Pure Word of Yahuah. No religion. No denominational systems. No theological overlays. Our teaching follows the Sovereign Blueprint:Law | Precept | Example | Wisdom | Understanding | Prudence | Conviction | Fruit of the Ruach | Final Heart Check────────────────────SUPPORT THE WORK — GIVE VIA ZELLEZelle QR at: ahavaloveministry.comZelle only.No CashApp.No PayPal.────────────────────FINAL WORDLife belongs to Yahuah.Blood represents life.Worship belongs under His authority.Leviticus 17 reminds Israel that life must never be treated casually.Final Heart Check:Do you treat life as something you control,or do you recognize that life belongs to Yahuah?

In Week 16 of our Sermon on the Mount series, Pastor Aaron McRae leads us through one of the most compelling sections of Jesus' teaching — a warning about choices, character, and counterfeit spirituality. Drawing from Matthew 7:13–29, this message explores the narrow vs. wide gate, true vs. false prophets, and the ultimate test of a life built on Jesus.Jesus calls us to a higher standard — not just external behavior but inward transformation. We're challenged to examine the voices we follow, the fruit we bear, and the foundation we build our lives upon. This sermon unpacks how to discern truth in a world full of false promises and how to recognize those who distort God's Word for selfish gain.**Big Idea: We must choose whose voice we trust to speak for God — and live accordingly. Have you ever felt like your thoughts are running the show—and not in a good way? Maybe you're doing all the right things, showing up in every role you play, but joy still feels out of reach. You smile for everyone else, but inside, your mind is cluttered with worry, overwhelm, and mental exhaustion. And the harder you try to “just stay positive,” the more it feels like a performance… not peace.I've been there, too. And here's the truth most people miss: joy isn't a mood you manufacture—it's a fruit you receive. It's not a personality trait or something you earn by trying harder. Biblical joy is a fruit of the Spirit, a gift from the Holy Spirit that grows when you slow down, renew your mind, and align your thoughts with God's truth. In today's episode, we're exploring how faith-based joy can become your daily mindset reset—even in the middle of a full, multifaceted life. You'll learn how Christian joy strengthens your spirit, anchors your thoughts, and becomes a natural rhythm of your biblical self-care routine—rooted in Christ, not circumstances. So if you're ready to stop spiraling and start standing firm, take a deep breath and settle in. There's a better way to think, live, and care for yourself—and it begins with joy.Scriptures Referenced in the EpisodeGalatians 5:22Hebrews 13:5Deuteronomy 31:6Philippians 4:8Recipes Mentioned in the EpisodeMango Orange Banana SmoothieWant to savor more goodness?I'm so excited you're here! Redemption Church KC Sermon Podcast

1. As Tim expanded upon and reframed our understanding of quite a few words in this week's sermon, how are you left feeling? What impact on your own sense of “understanding” the Bible are you experiencing? If our English translations and, as a result, our understandings of crucial words and concepts such as love, listen, heart, soul, strength, and Jehovah are incomplete, flawed, or misguided, what does that mean for us as people who look to the scripture as a primary resource in our lives of faith? What might it look like for you or for us to wrestle and engage with the reality of these apparent disconnects? How do we stay honest with ourselves about the gaps in our own understanding while also acknowledging that we can probably never become aware of all of them? 2. In examining some of these critical Hebrew words in Deuteronomy 6:4-5, Tim started with the word “shema” itself. In short, the meaning of the word is “hear, listen…obey.” He also talked about a word often translated into English as love: “ahavah.” Tim taught that this word's meaning is not only affection, but specifically affection paired with action. With both these of these words, Tim gave numerous examples of familiar passages in which they're used in the Old Testament.Recall (or look up) a few of these verses (list below) as a group, and reconsider their meanings in light of these more nuanced definitions. Are there places where what your understanding of these verses shifts significantly with your new understanding of the words “Shema” (translated as hear, listen) and “ahavah” (translated as love)? How does it impact your understanding to know that both these words include with them a sense of active response? Psalm 27:7Exodus 19:5Deuteronomy 7:7-8Deuteronomy 4:37Deuteronomy 10:18Jeremiah 31:3Deuteronomy 10:12-133. Tim also contrasted the idea of love in a sentimental sense with the idea of a love that inherently includes action. He talked about the relevance of this difference not only in how we love God, but also in how we love our neighbors, immigrants, orphans, and other groups of people that are often outcast in our society. What does it mean to love these people with sentimentality? What's different about loving them with “ahavah,” with affection AND action? How does this look in our everyday lives? How does it look in your everyday life? Now consider some of the other relationships in your life. What's the significance of affection paired with action when it comes to loving your co-workers? Your spouse? Your friends? Your families? Your neighbors? Does this idea shift anything for you? Why or why not?

In today's episode of All God's Women we look at Miriam, a woman who worshiped God with all her being, but who let pride and arrogance mar her ministry. She learned the hard way God's thoughts on pride.Miriam was blessed to be a leader in a time when women had little or no authority. She was one of only 5 women in the Old Testament to be called a prophetess, and she was the first. It was an honor bestowed by God, but with that position came a greater level of accountability. Because the other women looked to Miriam for wisdom and guidance, it was especially important that she be an acceptable role model. When she got cocky, God had to put her in her place. It's easy for us to become sanctimonious. We can mistake it for being saintly or sanctified. But God is not fooled. He knows our hearts. He knows when we're truly striving to serve Him and when we're merely trying to act superior. And we need to know that God will not tolerate pride among His leaders. When we start to think we know best, when we try to upsurp power from those who have authority over us, when we engage others in our pettiness, God will get our attention, and it won't be pretty. Just as God humbled Miriam, He will humble us and we will never be the same again. It appears that Miriam learned her lesson. While she may never again have reached the heights that she enjoyed that day on the shores of the Red Sea, we know that Miriam continued on in her role with the Hebrew nation, and that she died a beloved woman. How blessed we are that God is a God who disciplines, but who also forgives. No matter what we do, if we turn from our wicked ways and humble our hearts, and seek His face, He will hear our cries and forgive us our sins.Bible ReferencesExodus 2:2-9Exodus 15:20-211 Chronicles 6:3Micah 6:4Numbers 12:1-5Deuteronomy 24:8-9Numbers 20:1Helpful Resources“I Changed Your Diapers!” Miriam and the Challenge of Being Older Blog post by Paula K.
