Hello and welcome to Biohacking News: The Christmas Message 2025. Like the King's speech, but more interesting, and with fewer castles. This is my annual moment to look back at a year of upgrades, breakdowns, breakthroughs and blue urine, and gently pretend I understood all of it at the time. We also unveil our podcast interview of the year. THIS SHOW IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY: BiOptimizers Sleep Breakthrough and Magnesium Breakthrough These are BIOptimizers sleep and magnesium supplements which I take every night. I have also been using the new Magnesium Breakthrough drink - delicious way to get magnesium. I have been putting a scoop in my protein shake after a workout. There's nothing worse than receiving a gift at Christmas that you have no use for. Fortunately, the meaning and the message of Christmas is that God above has given to the world the most significant and meaningful gift possible!
Pastor Kenneth Goh delivered his sermon from Matthew 2:1-15.
In a world that tells us happiness is something to chase, achieve, or feel, what if joy is something far deeper? In this powerful and profound message, Jake Parker explores the truth that happiness is circumstantial, but joy is rooted in faith. Happiness shifts with feelings and outcomes — but joy remains, even in the dark, because joy is not a place… joy is a person.Through reflection, and a moving spoken word, this message reminds us that: • Happiness depends on what's happening around us • Joy is anchored in who Jesus is within us • True joy isn't found in moments, it's found in ChristAt Christmas, we celebrate more than a feeling. We celebrate a Saviour who stepped into our world, bringing joy that suffering can't steal and circumstances can't silence. If you're tired, searching, or longing for something deeper this season, this message is for you.
Every story has a beginning. Ours starts in a garden—where peace was shattered, but a promise was spoken. A promise of rescue. Of redemption. Of a coming King. That promise echoed through generations... spoken by prophets, believed by the faithful, and longed for by a weary world. Then—He came. Not with fanfare, but in humility. Not to a throne, but to a manger. Born into darkness to bring light. This is more than a holiday tradition—it's the unfolding of God's plan. From the Fall to the fulfillment. From sin to salvation. It is the hope the world is searching for. This season, we're not just celebrating a birth—we're following a story. THE story. And it's one we're still part of today. So, join us as we step into the adventure, trace the promise, and see the Savior. This is... The Christmas Story.

The Apostle Paul in Galatians 4:4-7, shows how God's perfect timing brought the incarnation: the Son born of a woman, made under the law to redeem those under it so we might be adopted as God's children. The episode explains Christ's deity and humanity, redemption from the law, the gift of God enabling us to cry out, "Abba, Father," and the believer's new status as heirs—encouraging trust in God's timing and freedom in Christ.

In a world filled with uncertainty, distractions, and shifting priorities, the announcement given to Mary in Luke 1:26–38 brings us back to the mission that truly matters. This message by Pastor Jesse Waggoner takes us beneath the surface of the Christmas story to uncover the identity of Jesus—His throne, His promises, and His unending kingdom—and what that means for our lives today. Just as one historic moment can change a nation, Gabriel's announcement changed the world. And it invites us into a purpose far bigger than ourselves.
This Christmas, you don't need the world's version of peace — the kind that depends on perfect circumstances, tidy emotions, or life behaving itself. You need a deeper peace.A stronger peace.A stable peace. If your life feels messy, noisy, anxious, or anything but peaceful, this message is for you.The peace you long for is not a feeling. It's not a season. It's not a moment. It's a person. His name is Jesus. And He still brings stable peace.
In this stirring and deeply encouraging Advent message, Pastor Karl continues the series The King Has Come with a raw and life-giving exploration of the second great gift Jesus brings: peace.Turning to the familiar yet profound scene in Luke 2:8–20, Pastor Karl invites us into the midnight terror of ordinary shepherds—suddenly confronted by the blinding glory of God—and shows how the very first words from heaven that night were not “Merry Christmas,” but “Fear not.” That first Christmas did not begin with sentimental calm; it began with paralyzing, mega-fear. And right there, in the middle of stacked-on-stacked fear, the angel announced good news of great joy: a Savior has been born who is Christ the Lord, the Prince of Peace. With pastoral tenderness and unflinching honesty, Pastor Karl unmasks fear as the mortal enemy of peace—how it magnifies threats, shrinks our view of God, and paints our future in colors darker than God ever intended. Yet the gospel is stronger: peace is not the absence of trouble but the presence of a Person. Peace is not something Jesus gives; peace is who Jesus is—and He gives Himself.Through the shepherds' journey from terror to testimony, we're given clear, scriptural paths out of fear and into the unshakable peace of Christ: speaking God's truth over fear's lies, refusing to agree with the spirit of fear, drawing near to Jesus through spiritual disciplines, and taking bold steps of obedience that move us against comfort and toward surrender. This is a word for everyone whose heart has been ruled by anxiety, worst-case scenarios, or the quiet fears that steal joy—especially in this season. A tender yet urgent call to stop trusting the unknown future to our own control and start trusting it to the known God who entered our fear as a baby in a manger.Because the King has come, fear does not get the final word. Peace does. And when the Prince of Peace takes over a life, what spills out is no longer fear—but praise, testimony, and unshakable confidence in the goodness of God.Essential listening for anyone who longs to trade fear for the peace that passes all understanding this Christmas.Watch all our sermons on our youtube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 9:00am & 10:30am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm

In this powerful message, Ricky tackles one of the most universal struggles we face today—feeling insignificant in a world that constantly tells us we're not enough.
In this stirring and deeply encouraging Advent message, Pastor Karl launches the new series The King Has Come with a powerful exploration of the first great gift Jesus brings: hope.Turning to Luke 2 and the quiet, largely forgotten figures of Simeon and Anna, Pastor Karl paints a vivid picture of two elderly saints who spent decades waiting in faithful obscurity—praying unanswered prayers, worshiping through silence, and serving without recognition. Yet the moment a 40-day-old baby was carried into the temple, their Spirit-illuminated eyes saw what the crowds missed: the long-promised Messiah, the Consolation of Israel, the Redemption of Jerusalem.Through their story, Pastor Karl reveals that biblical hope is not wishful thinking; it is the confident, unshakable expectation of future good rooted in the unchanging character and faithfulness of God. Hope grows in the hidden soil of daily faithfulness, thrives when God chooses to work in silence, and celebrates the tiny seed because it already trusts the coming harvest. Simeon and Anna never saw Jesus preach, heal, or rise from the dead—yet they held the infant King and departed in peace, because they knew who He was long before they saw what He would do.A tender yet convicting word for everyone who has waited a long time and is still waiting, prayed a long time and is still praying, and hoped a long time and is still hoping. In a season that can feel rushed and noisy, this message calls us to slow down, stay faithful, and train our eyes to recognize the presence of the King—even when He shows up wrapped in the ordinary, the small, and the seemingly insignificant.Because the King has come, hope is not dead. It is alive, resilient, and bubbling up in every heart that keeps showing up and keeps looking for Jesus. Essential listening for anyone who needs fresh hope this Christmas.Watch all our sermons on our youtube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 9:00am & 10:30am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm
Dr Becky Carlyle, narrates her blog written for the Dementia Researcher website. In this blog Becky reflects on what recent work in molecular neurodegeneration reveals about progress in dementia research. Drawing on developments in early diagnosis, cerebrospinal fluid staging, high throughput proteomics and large scale single cell data, she explains why the past five years have transformed what we can measure and understand. These advances give researchers new ways to define disease stages, identify meaningful sub groups and uncover cell specific vulnerabilities. She describes why this creates genuine momentum for targeted treatments and why the tools needed to match medicines to the right people at the right time are now within reach. Find the original text, and narration here on our website. https://www.dementiaresearcher.nihr.ac.uk/blog-a-scientific-christmas-message-of-hope/ -- Dr Becky Carlyle is an Alzheimer's Research UK Senior Research Fellow at University of Oxford, and has previously worked in the USA. Becky writes about her experiences of starting up a research lab and progressing into a more senior research role. Becky's research uses mass-spectrometry to quantify thousands of proteins in the brains and biofluids of people with dementia. Her lab is working on various projects, including work to compare brain tissue from people with dementia from Alzheimer's Disease, to tissue from people who have similar levels of Alzheimer's Disease pathology but no memory problems. A Christmas Miracle in 1944: In the midst of World War II, a German mother and her son brought together American and German soldiers for a night of peace and humanity in a tiny cabin in the Hürtgen Forest. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be. What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. This special Christmas edition of the podcast features Shane's man-on-the-street interviews that he recorded at a local Christmas festival. In particular, he asked whether the holiday, with all its memorable characters, is rooted in mythology, history, or a little of both. In the second half of the program, Shane reads selections from Justin Martyr's First Apology, which provides insight into the compelling nature of early Christian proclamation.
