Chatboty totiž do značné míry na internetové encyklopedii parazitují.Wikipedie stojí na neutuchající práci mnoha dobrovolníků, kteří rozšířují a upravují její obsah ale také editorsky dohlížejí na to, aby byly uvedeny pravdivé a kvalitně ozdrojované informace, podobně jako to dělají v médiích novináři. V případě české verze internetové encyklopedie jde o skupinu několika set velmi aktivních editorů, kteří podstatnou část volného času věnují Wikipedii.
