How often do you hear people say, "I'm so stressed!"? I admit that I find myself saying it at least a few times a week. Today's podcast guest is Kerstin Lindquist, a QVC host and stress expert. After witnessing her mother battle dementia and experience "black spots" on her brain that doctors attributed to stress, Kerstin researched and identified 20 strategies—ranging from simple to complex—to help reorganize your life. I can't wait for you to hear her suggestions—one of them took me only a few seconds to implement, and I'm already feeling less stressed. Woot woot! About Kerstin Lindquist Over the last twenty years Kerstin has connected on a personal level with her more than 150 million viewers on QVC and network news through confident vulnerability and the curated ability to tell a story that makes you feel. She currently hosts one of the most watched shows on QVC. Her skillful communication drives more than 250 million dollars a year in direct sales through her presentations on air and online.   Kerstin is an Emmy Award winning, certified health coach and growth strategist, pairing her training in health science with biblical truth. She's a contributor to publications such as Sail Magazine, Vibrant Life, FoxNews.com and America Adopts. She is the author of two books on faith and wellness.  As a keynote speaker her purpose is to make faith come alive in others. She speaks to individuals and organizations, focusing on wellness, faith, and exceptional sales. She delivers techniques that empower high-performing humans to gain more confidence and create space for joy. Kerstin is a mom of three. She and her family live on a sunny hill in eastern PA. They spend their free time traveling to places with water, sun, and sand. www.kerstin-lindquist.com _______ Amazon Store When I began detoxing my life after being diagnosed with cancer, I felt overwhelmed and confused. I thought I was already making good health choices, but the more I researched, the more I discovered that small changes could lead to significant improvements. For instance, switching from tea bags to loose-leaf tea can help prevent additional microplastics from accumulating in my body. These plastic particles can affect my hormones and contribute to inflammation. This was such a simple swap! I was so encouraged that I started to make more simple swaps. And now, I have an Amazon Store listing many of my favorite detox tips! Click here to check to see my simple swaps. _______ Air Doctor I've been using the Air Doctor air purifier for almost a year, and I absolutely love it! I first heard about it from Dr. Mark Hyman, and even though it was a bit of a splurge compared to what I usually spend, I'm so glad I made the investment. Every time I change the filter and see all the gunk it collects, it just makes me smile knowing it's doing such a great job keeping my air clean! Breathe in the delicious air of morning. Let it fill your lungs. PAUSE While breathing, center yourself, and prepare your heart and mind  for meditation. PAUSE Now, imagine if you can, sitting on a park bench in the morning. The sun has risen, and the early morning dew is glistening like emeralds on the grass. PAUSE You draw in a breath, a breath that fills you  with life. Life like that in the park. PAUSE Nearby, a woman walks three large dogs. You smile, as it appears  the dogs are  walking her. PAUSE Off to the side, you notice two mothers sipping coffee and chatting. They glance at each other, then cast their eyes on  the playground where their sons play Pirate Ship  on the jungle gym. PAUSE In the distance, a man and woman, move gracefully  over the grass,  practicing Tai Chi like an elegant dance. PAUSE Imagine now, a whirring noise coming up behind you. As you turn, you see a group of bicyclists the park. PAUSE You draw in another breath, and prepare to go back home. As you walk through the park to your street, the energy of the park flows through you and carries you  through the day. NAMASTE, BEAUTIFUL

Let's dive into wellness and weight loss for real life, including drinking, eating out, and skipping the grocery store. IN THIS EPISODE: [5:46] What are biohacks?[9:20] How do we know if we are healthy? [13:47] How can we biostack nutrition habits? [16:37] What are some hydration biostacks?[18:20] How can you biostack activity?[21:39] What are helpful sleep biostacks?[25:48] How can we biostack to manage stress?[26:39] What are some mindset biostacks?[28:53] How can community and connection impact our health?[33:14] How can you get all of these things each day? [36:24] Jenn walks through her own biostacks. [39:55] How do you navigate biostacks while on vacation or out of our usual routine? [44:41] Jenn's final thoughts. KEY TAKEAWAYS: Changing the words that we use changes our mindset, changes our state of mind, and changes the way we think about everything. If we look at every single day as a stack of something to support our nutrition, hydration, activity, sleep, stress, mindset, and connection, we will experience optimal health. A healthful habit starts as discipline. Take the steps that will make the biggest difference for you.Habit stacking is the idea that we add something new to something that already exists, something that's already a habit that happens already. QUOTES: [6:39] “I like to say ‘biohacks are often stepping over $100 bills to pick up pennies', cause the hundred dollar bills are these fundamentals that if we don't have those in place, we're not really going to make progress.” - Jenn Trepeck[10:09] “Optimal function means that every system is functioning well and supports the function of all the other systems in the body. From that point, your biohack could be amazing. But if we're hoping the biohack is going to allow us to eat french fries and cookie dough all the time, we sort of have a misplaced understanding of how this works.” - Jenn Trepeck[18:19] “One of my mentors said the other day, a healthy metabolism is earned. Muscle is an expensive tissue because you work for it.” - Jenn Trepeck"It's not about the same thing every day, it's about a 360 degree approach to health, 365 days a year." - Jenn Trepeck[45:10] “Biostacking is about taking the steps that will make the biggest difference for each of us. I think the habits are the shortcut. So I invite you to biostack over biohack. Stack the foundation, stack the bricks.” - Jenn TrepeckRESOURCES:The Ultimate Biohack EpisodeSleep On It Episode Morning Routine EpisodeGoing Against the Textbook EpisodeHeart Health is Sexual Health EpisodeYour New BFF: Flexibility Episode NAD Supplements Nutrition NuggetWake Up Light ClockTower Plus ProteinAnti-Aging EssentialsMultivitaminBecome A Member of Salad with a Side of FriesJenn's Free Menu PlanA Salad With a Side of FriesA Salad With A Side Of Fries MerchA Salad With a Side of Fries Instagram
