Let's talk about Creationism, evolution, train tickets, and final destinations.
Forty-five years ago, on May 18, 1980, Mt St Helens erupted and changed creationism forever. The explosion showed us how rapidly geological features could form during a catastrophe and gave us a laboratory to understand the formation of coal. The deadly eruption also reminds us to heed the warnings of coming destruction and judgment. With so many warning signs, no one needed to die at Mt St Helens unless they chose to stay. Join Paul and Todd as they chat with Bill Hoesch, director of the Mt St Helens Creation Center, about this milestone in creation research!Visit the Mount Saint Helens Creation Center https://www.mshcreationcenter.org/Link to Google Maps view of Spirit Lake. https://maps.app.goo.gl/tjkyy9CE3oVJAT6S9Zoom in to see the log mat. After one of my closest friends passed away, I decided to do something he always encouraged me to try—interview myself. In this honest and heartfelt conversation, I open up about grief, faith, psychology, and why I still believe in God, even when life hurts. Along the way, I challenge Freud's claims, explore how the brain reflects intelligent design, and share how walking through pain taught me to love deeper. If you've ever wrestled with loss or faith, I made this for you.

In this episode of The Cordial Catholic, I'm joined by Hugh Owen, the founder and director of the Kolbe Center for the Study of Creation to talk about the Catholic perspective on the literal story of creation. Can Catholics believe in a literal reading of Genesis? Has the Catholic Church officially adopted the theory of evolution? What does the science actually say? And what is lost is the typical discussion between science, evolution, and creation? Hugh joins me to unpack these questions and more with some pretty fascinating perspectives to questions and concerns that – I know – are on the minds of many Protestant Christians who are considering Catholicism – and many Catholics looking to reconcile the literal reading of the Bible with Science and the Catholic faith. As Paul and Todd continue their series on natural evil, join them as they chat with Nate Labadorf about curses in the Bible. In the Ancient Near Eastern culture of the Bible, curses went hand in hand with blessings. You can't understand the one without the other. As we look to the curse pronounced in Genesis 3, it's important to look even closer to understand how it relates to blessing. Nate takes us through all of these points as we ponder the consequences of the curse in creationism.

Finally, they get more personal with how you choose which big story that you're a part of, then a breezy discussion of Theistic Evolution and Creationism.
What a doozy! I knew this one would be interesting when I saw that Rob Roselli had recently talked with someone who suggested that Trump was chosen by the Christian god to clean out the deep state, and I was not disappointed. We mostly discussed the deep state, the Federal Reserve, and power, but we got derailed for about 10-15 minutes into a discussion about natural selection and cosmology, prompted by Rob calling evolution "the greatest scam in history." I could not leave that unchallenged. Rob returned this week for a much longer discussion about evolution and cosmology. Stay tuned for that!
In this episode of Crossing Faiths, Rabbi Aaron Zimmer and Rabbi Eli Feder discuss their endeavor to explore the relationship between science and religion, specifically focusing on using physics to argue for the existence of God. Motivated by a desire to reconcile modern scientific understanding with religious belief, they challenge the notion that science and faith are incompatible. The rabbis introduce the concept of "fine-tuning" in physics, arguing that the precise mathematical constants governing the universe suggest an intelligent designer rather than random chance. They critically examine the multiverse theory as an alternative explanation, presenting it as a less plausible scientific hypothesis. Drawing on their backgrounds in Talmudic study and scientific research, Zimmer and Feder aim to provide a rigorous, accessible argument for God's existence by demonstrating the improbability of our universe's precise conditions arising by accident. Their approach combines deep scientific analysis with the ability to communicate complex ideas in understandable terms, ultimately seeking to offer people a rational framework for understanding faith in the modern world. Elie Feder earned a PhD in mathematics from the CUNY Graduate Center and received Rabbinic ordination from his rebbe, Rabbi Yisrael Chait. Since 2004, Elie has been a mathematics professor at Kingsborough Community College and a maggid shiur at Yeshiva Bnei Torah. He has published many papers and delivered numerous talks on graph theory, which is his field of mathematical research. As a teacher, Elie has a passion for simplifying complex topics for his students. Recently, he authored a book “Gematria Refigured,” which presents a rational, nonmystical approach to gematria as a tool of uncovering the significance of quantity and fine tuning in Torah, life, and the universe. Elie hosts the Gematria Refigured+ and the Physics to God podcasts. He resides in Far Rockaway, New York, with his wife and their four children. After earning a physics degree and receiving rabbinical ordination from his rebbe, Rabbi Yisrael Chait, Aaron Zimmer considered furthering his education through graduate school. However, his intellectual curiosity extended far beyond the realm of physics, encompassing a diverse array of fields, including philosophy, mathematics, and psychology. Capitalizing on his blend of analytical and philosophical skills, Aaron utilized his personal resources to venture into commodity futures trading. This endeavor involved commodities such as oil, natural gas, cotton, sugar, and coffee. His strategic approach was deeply rooted in the conceptual frameworks of physics and the intricate Brisker Method for Talmudic analysis. After an eleven-year career marked by success in commodity trading, Aaron decided to retire. In his retirement, Aaron channels his intellectual energy into studying various branches of knowledge, including the Talmud, philosophy, and physics. He co-hosts the Physics to God podcast and resides in Lawrence, New York, along with his wife and their five children. This article argues that the flood narrative offers a more coherent explanation for geological phenomena than the long-age models often favored by mainstream science.

The evolution vs. creationism controversy centers on differing explanations for the origin and development of life. Evolution, supported by scientific evidence, posits that species evolved over millions of years through natural selection and genetic variation. Creationism, rooted in religious beliefs, claims that life was created by a divine being in its current form, as described … Continue reading Episode 421: Evolution vs. Creationism

Creationism Disproves Evolution Dr. Kent Hovind Dr. Kent Hovind has been preaching the Gospel for over 50 years as a pastor and evangelist and has had over 350 debates against atheists. He is the founder the “Dinosaur Adventure Land” in Lennox, Alabama. I've been looking forward to our discussion today… for those that have followed me, you know that I love sharing information with you on these topics of disproving the stuff being taught today about the earth being billions upon billions of years old. I believe exactly what the Bible says and I believe the earth and everything else was formed exactly as the Bible says…and we have had other experts on in the past that provided insights in this area that backs up that proof. Amen! With that being said, help me welcome to the program, Dr. Kent Hovind! Dr. Kent, thank you for taking the time to join us today! First question I always start with is this… other than that brief information I just shared, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Dr. Kent Hovind?” How did you get involved with debating those who oppose the Creationist point of view from the Bible? How did you get started with the “Dinosaur Adventure Land?” What do you believe is the most compelling evidence for the Creation Theory? I interviewed an archeologist who is also a geologist several years back. He brought up an excellent contradiction to the evolutionary theorist by using something that happened in recent history – Mt. St. Helen's eruption. He said scientists went in and took some of the trees that had been burned and covered in several dozen feet of ash… as the wind and rain eroded some of the ash, they were able to dig down a bit and find these trees. They did carbon dating on these trees…that had been alive just 7-10 years prior to this – and the carbon dating came back as something like 10,000 years old. If I remember correctly, they hypothesize that the sudden rise in the temperature coupled with immediately being buried by feet of ash and the pressure, etc… caused the erroneous readings. He has used that in his presentations of the errors in the evolutionist theory. You also did calculations on the tides of the earth and how that would also account for petrified forests, etc. prior to the flood. You also share how the Grand Canyon was formed quickly, not over millions of years as science teaches. Share that with us… One thing I love to bring up in a debate… I have not conducted formal debates like you have… I'll rephrase that to a “discussion” is this… When man landed on the moon, what did they find? Nothing! Edwin Aldrin described it as a “magnificent desolation.” They found no life; no plants; no water; no atmosphere – nothing. Why? Because the moon was not made for man – earth was? Who made the earth? Go to Genesis 1 and find out! Praise God! Everything GOOD was created for man by God. All the other stuff, the moon, stars, comets, etc. – is lifeless because man was not supposed to go and live there… Your thoughts on that? You have guests that come to visit you on the “Dinosaur Adventure Land.” You advertise it is free for them to stay? What kind of interesting things will they see when they visit? Dr. Hovind, this so interesting and needful for the day and time we live. If someone wanted to get more information, maybe to ask a question or possibly to do an interview such as this… how can they do that? How can someone get in touch with you? You are also, as you said, able to offer all of these things at the “Dinosaur Adventure Land,” including overnight accommodations for
