From Thursday's LIVE (1:00 - 1:30 CT) show on Twitch (Twitch.TV/GallantSays) & YouTube (YouTube.com/PaulGallant): - (:49): The Texans HAVE to make a phone call about potentially trading for THIS NFL QB given his uncertain future... - (8:18): Obviously we'd like to see them draft a guy who's talented. But which QB that the Texans could draft has been through the most adversity in his life? - (18:45): One of the NFL's best players is proof that THIS school produces the most fun people... - (29:54): Today's #ThrowbackThursday is another example of the British Empire ruining everything... - (32:35): The Last of Us is already my favorite CURRENT show on TV. Here's why...
From Thursday's LIVE show on Twitch (Twitch.TV/GallantSays) & YouTube (YouTube.com/PaulGallant): A caller at the end of my radio show suggested that I'm not fair to black athletes based on the way I've been talking about Kyrie Irving. I had thoughts...
From Thursday night's LIVE show on Twitch (Twitch.TV/GallantSays) & YouTube (YouTube.com/PaulGallant): I went to the introductory press conference for Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans today. And I've got to say, I was impressed. Why? Listen to my ramblings...
From Thursday's LIVE show on Twitch (Twitch.TV/GallantSays) & YouTube (YouTube.com/PaulGallant): Pete Carroll - who helped Seattle go 9-8 and make the playoffs after Russell Wilson forced his way out of town last year - isn't a coach of the year finalist. How? Plus, the 49ers seem to be dismissing the home field advantage of the Philadelphia Eagles. Who else has overrated home field advantages? And to wrap things up, I share my worst food takes [per YOU people].
From Thursday's LIVE show (Weekdays 1 PM CT at Twitch.TV/Gallant OR Youtube.com/PaulGallant): I talked about what was going through my mind after Damar Hamlin collapsed on Monday Night Football, and what a broadcaster is supposed to do in that situation. They probably shouldn't do what the biggest grift artist in sports is doing right now (and I'm not talking about Skip Bayless). Plus, I set some resolutions for the show in 2023, including one topic in particular that's close to home...
Immigration Minister Michael Wood says the latest immigration changes come as there's more competition in the global environment. Wood told Checkpoint as there are shortages in sectors like nursing around world, other countries have changed immigration settings and NZ has followed suit to be in the best possible position to fill workplace shortages. Nurses, specialist doctors, and midwives are finally being put onto the straight-to-residency green list. From Thursday, registered nurses and midwives will have an immediate pathway to residence, including those already in New Zealand.
From Thursday afternoon's LIVE Twitch show (weekdays 1-1:30 PM CT at Twitch.TV/GallantSays): I think there's only one thing that'll get me through the Bills [probably] beating down the Patriots tonight. (1:04) Lebron James is disappointed in the media for asking him a question...that he wouldn't answer himself? (5:27) Did Lamar Jackson really use a homophobic slur online? (21:35) And the usual suspects are going to be PISSED about this story... (30:15)
From Thursday afternoon's Twitch Show (Twitch.TV/GallantSays): Is Houston always a baseball town? Or does it belong to the best team in town in the moment? (3:15) Why is Philadelphia so quiet today? Didn't they win the World Series in game 3? (14:07) It's pretty funny to me that NOW people are deciding to leave twitter. It didn't suck until Elon Musk bought it? (21:13)
From Thursday's Gallant Says podcast, LIVE on Twitch (Twitch.TV/GallantSays if you ever want to join the show): I talked entirely about the World Series...from Houston's perspective. MLB's poor promotion of the game, the history at stake for the Stros, and a lot more!
From Thursday night's live show on Twitch (Twitch.TV/GallantSays): The Houston Astros took a 2-0 lead on the Seattle Mariners in the American League Divisional Series with a 4-2 W Thursday night. And once again, it was because they thought it was a good idea to pitch to Yordan Alvarez...at least until it was too late.
From Thursday night's show, LIVE exclusively on Twitch (Twitch.TV/GallantSays): The Bills kicked off the 2022 NFL season by kicking the Rams' ass 31-10. I think it was more about LA just looking old than Buffalo being the Super Bowl contender many believe them to be. (0:30) Queen Elizabeth II passed away at age 96. Since I'm a celebrity [flex] that must talk about everything that happens [despite often knowing nothing], I wondered how to best talk about her life and legacy. (13:11) And after a side-tangent that I want to dive further into down the road, I talked about Washington Governor Jay Inslee's love of arbitrary dates. (26:29)
From Thursday night all the way through to Sunday afternoon, Week 1 didn't disappoint. Steve Soucie and Kyle Nabors are back to recap the first week of the 2022 season.

From Thursday, May 26, 2022, hear the full Tony Khan AEW pre-Double or Nothing media call.
From Thursday's show on Twitch (Twitch.TV/GallantSays): I weigh in on the Seattle sports topic that's unified the whole city, talk about my love of sports fundamentals, Mike Tyson on a plane, and Johnny Depp's poop encounter.
From Thursday night's show, LIVE exclusively on Twitch (Twitch.TV/GallantSays): I've covered the Astros. I've covered the Mariners. Am I allowed to root for both? Plus, Kyler Murray is playing hardball [again] with the Cardinals, Baker Mayfield thinks he may be a Seahawk, and the Seahawks believe they'll be fine in a post Wilson/Wagner world because of "culture." And to wrap it all up, Paul tries to figure out what the hell happened in a soccer fight!
From Thursday's episode LIVE on Twitch (Twitch.TV/GallantSays): Sports like this are boring to watch. But what if we sprinkle in some Oscars-eque violence?(1:26). Speaking of the Oscars slap, did you know that slapping is a sport?(6:10). Former Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner signed with the Rams (11:16). It sure seems like Tom Brady forced out Bruce Arians (17:27). And yet another New York Yankee is whining about being cheated in 2017 (24:43).
Touchdown - the first MIQ-free flight from Australia has landed in Auckland with vaccinated passengers now able to go home to isolate. From Thursday, they'll be free to head out into the community. Reporter Nick Truebridge is at Auckland Airport with the details.
