Paul Martin, author and curator of Ghostbusters World Hub on the web and @gbworldhub on social media joins us this week to talk a bit about his experiences running the most comprehensive knowledgebase on the web for the now-defunct Ghostbusters World augmented reality app game.  In its hey-day, the game aimed to replicate the success of Pokemon Go! by drawing upon the IP of Ghostbusters in all of its animated narrative forms.  Paul was its biggest advocate in the fan community who spent time cultivating an entire website of strategy guides, how-tos/walkthroughs, and a robust database of each ghost that appeared in the game with supporting video clips!  At the height of the app's popularity Paul's site was the pre-eminent source of info that even its support team recommended to players. Now, in the wake of its servers going dark, Paul is expanding his content to cover all kinds of Ghostbusters games, including Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed!  We find out a bit about Paul's story after taking a few minutes to talk about gratitude and catching up on the week's headlines. A little Ghostbusters 2 on Night 22 …The discovery of a massive river of ectoplasm and a resurgence of spectral activity allows the staff of Ghostbusters to revive the business. Five years after the events of the first film, the Ghostbusters have been plagued by lawsuits and court orders, and their once-lucrative business is bankrupt. But when Dana has ghost problems again, the boys come out of retirement and are promptly arrested. On the press tour for Mission Impossible, writer/director Drew Pearce was hit up (again) about his work on Ghostbusters that was abandoned, and had some interesting comments. Finally, we're remembering Terry Windell of ILM and Boss Films who passed last week at the age of 61, the pioneer who was known for his memorable lightning effects in Ghostbusters and Return of the Jedi left a lasting impression that Troy and Chris discuss.
