Justin Bieber is back with his seventh studio album: the aptly-titled SWAG. The lo-fi, reverb-laden record is a remarkably candid look inside the world of Bieber, using the palette of both underground pop and 90's R&B to accentuate lyrics about his wife, his struggles, and his "standing on business." Notably, it's his first album post-split with manager Scooter Braun, and the first where Bieber has been in full artistic control. On this episode of Switched On Pop, we tap into the SWAG mindset and attempt to understand Bieber's newfound vision, what it's saying, and ultimately, if it even still matters. Justin Bieber BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Bieber has been making headlines on multiple fronts over the past several days, blending music releases, business chess moves, relationship rumors, and trademark social media ambiguity. The biggest news is the July 11th release of his new album Swag, his first studio effort in four years, which critics and fans are already calling a mature, candid reflection on his turbulent last few years. In tracks like Walking Away and Daisies, Justin openly addresses the complexities of his seven-year marriage to Hailey Bieber and the personal challenges he has faced, with intimate lyrics reaffirming his commitment to their relationship. Though tabloid rumors suggested marital trouble, Justin quietly but pointedly shut them down last week, posting a series of affectionate, PDA-filled vacation photos on Instagram with Hailey, prompting Elle Magazine to declare Bieber was sending a “subtle message” about the couple's continued unity.Professionally, talk of a comeback tour is swirling fiercely online and across radio in Australia, where 6PR Perth's hosts fueled speculation about imminent tour dates following Swag's debut. While major outlets like Rolling Stone and the official promoter Frontier Touring say nothing is confirmed on the touring front, the consensus is that Bieber announcing dates would be standard post-release practice and sources close to him admit performing live is something he craves and needs. However, as of now, this remains in the realm of speculation and rumor, not official announcement. On the business side, The Economic Times reports that Bieber is working to settle a $31.5 million debt to Scooter Braun's Hybe company, relying on proceeds from wife Hailey's pending, billion-dollar sale of her Rhode beauty business. He's expected to net around $50 million from that deal, enough to clear his obligations and reportedly secure ownership of his music masters, a coup for any recording artist. The sale is anticipated to finalize within a couple of months, but Justin's spokesperson insists his finances and Hailey's business are entirely separate.Bieber's mental health has once again become public talk. Despite Justin reassuring fans that he's found his “swag” again and is on the mend, insiders tell Marca and Page Six that he still wrestles with internal struggles, heightened by fame's relentless pressure. Support appears to come from his wife, a tight inner circle, and his faith. Social media watchdogs are on high alert after a cryptic Instagram post referencing DMX's “clean living,” which TMZ interpreted as hinting at ongoing substance use, though Bieber's representatives have consistently denied rumors of hard drug use.In his quieter but significant business moves, Bieber launched a fashion label called Skylrk, his second solo apparel project after Drew House, as confirmed by Living Life Fearless. And in Wall Street news, Bloomberg reports that royalties from Bieber's catalog—now partly managed by Recognition Music Group—are being packaged in a $372 million bond issuance that will include publishing rights from major pop stars. With Swag's release, potential blockbuster tours, marital resilience, and this swirl of headlines about money, health, and art, Justin Bieber remains as much a pop culture fixture as ever, constantly evolving under the unblinking public gaze.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta
I went to the Katy Perry concert in Anaheim and it was everything I wanted and more. And while I was there I couldn't not go to Disneyland. Meanwhile there was a lot going on in Hollywood. Justin Bieber unfortunately released a new album. I've yet to listen to it but I know I don't like it. While that is some good news for him, the bad news is that he has to pay Scooter Braun 31.5 million dollars for cancelling his last tour and for unpaid commission. Superman and I Know What You Did Last Summer both came out recently and I've seen them both. If you're a fan of the Zack Snyder Superman then I'm not sure you'll enjoy the new one. And if you're a fan of the original IKWYDLS, then you'll be happy to know that Freddie, Sarah and Jennifer all make a return in the new film. Jessie Murph and Noah Cyrus both have released new albums recently. And Paris Hilton makes a return to the Carl's Jr universe with Alix Earle in a new commercial. Thanks for listening!
Justin Bieber BioSnap a weekly updated Biography. In the past few days Justin Bieber has found himself at the center of several major headlines mixing business drama personal reflections and renewed creative energy. As first reported by TMZ and widely picked up across major outlets Justin will not be paying his over 31 million dollar debt to his former manager Scooter Brauns Hybe company until the sale of his wife Hailey Biebers Rhode beauty brand officially closes. The Rhode deal reportedly values the company at around a billion dollars and Justin as an investor is expected to collect about 50 million which will finally resolve the longrunning settlement stemming from the canceled Justice tour and back commissions. Intriguingly despite the 200 million Justin previously earned from selling his music catalog he still lacked the liquidity thanks to taxes spending and management so this windfall is crucial. Sources emphasize that Scooter Braun does not see any of the repayment with funds routed directly to Hybe a notable business shift as Braun exits the company. As for his music Justin just released his seventh studio album Swag which fans and critics alike see as a more mature introspective project exploring marriage mental health and growth. Tracks like Walking Away openly discuss his evolving relationship with Hailey especially during a year that has seen ceaseless speculation about their marriage. Just this week Justin posted a carousel of vacation photos on Instagram with an intimate image kissing Hailey a clear message doubling down on their commitment and silencing rumors of trouble at home according to Elle. Sources previously told Us Weekly the couple has faced difficulties but that neither is considering separation or divorce believing they are soulmates who are determined to make it work.Meanwhile Biebers battle with personal challenges is again in the press. Marca reports that while Justin publicly announced he feels he has regained his "swag" insiders say he is still working through some deep internal struggles. His openness about mental health his past encounter with Ramsay Hunt syndrome and ongoing time with therapists and spiritual advisors have endeared him even more to fans particularly as he credits Hailey as a pillar in his healing. On social media fans have rallied sending support underscoring his role as a mental health advocate in the spotlight. In more lifestyle news Justin's fashion and sneaker venture SKYLRK continues to stir the pot. NSS Magazine notes the brand is thriving with bold visuals viral campaigns and frequent street style controversies. Its a pointed evolution from his Drew House days and represents Justin's ongoing transformation as a cultural figure blending music business fashion and personal storytelling in an always unpredictable way.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta
Justin Bieber BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Bieber has returned to the spotlight with a slate of major headlines, new music, business news, and, as ever, persistent speculation about his private life. Just last week, Bieber released his seventh studio album, "Swag," his first full-length record in over four years, which NPR hailed as a notable comeback that veers toward an alternative rock sound and features introspective lyrics about marriage and mental health. The album dropped without much conventional promotion, causing fans and critics alike to revisit Bieber's ever-evolving relationship with the spotlight and his personal demons. "Swag" comes packaged not just with fresh songs but with subtle messages about his life, including nods to ongoing marital challenges with his wife, Hailey Bieber – all while silencing, for now, rumors of a split. Elle reports that Bieber used recent Instagram posts, including a photo of him kissing Hailey, to push back on breakup speculation, while tracks like "Walking Away" and "Daisies" tackle their ups and downs with uncharacteristic candor.Behind the confident public façade, however, reports from The Blast and Page Six suggest Bieber continues to battle mood swings and pressure from both fame and expectations at home, with insiders describing deeper struggles despite his seemingly happy family life. Having welcomed their son Jack Blues less than a year ago, the couple is now navigating not just new parenthood but Bieber's ongoing search for stability.Financially, Bieber is also making headlines. TMZ and Economic Times confirm that he owes $31.5 million in settled debt to Scooter Braun's Hybe — debt he cannot clear until his wife Hailey's $1 billion Rhode beauty company sale officially closes, a deal poised to net Bieber $50 million as a significant investor. According to sources, this wait has delayed his ability to pay off the debt, despite pocketing $200 million from his earlier music catalog sale; substantial chunks of that sum have already been eaten up by taxes and expenses, showcasing rare vulnerability for a superstar previously thought to be endlessly flush.Outside music, Bieber's new fashion venture, SKYLRK, has reignited the kind of social media chatter that has followed him since his teens. NSS Magazine describes the launch of SKYLRK as a calculated, controversy-infused rebranding—more playful than past efforts, yet very much blending the provocative with the personal. On Instagram, Bieber has been sharing family photos, behind-the-scenes content, and candid moments, keeping the online narrative alive while stirring curiosity about which version of himself he will present next.Through it all, while speculation about his health, marriage, and fortune never really ceases, one thing is clear: Justin Bieber's next chapter is being written in real time, with all its complications and comeback moments on full display.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

Justin Bieber BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Barely a week has passed since Justin Bieber reentered the public eye with one of his most significant career moves in years, the surprise release of his seventh studio album, Swag, on July 11. The album, loaded with 21 tracks and featuring names like Gunna, Sexyy Red, Cash Cobain, and gospel great Marvin Winans, has sparked headlines for its vulnerability and raw introspection, with Bieber openly exploring fatherhood, mental health, and the immense pressures of fame. Notably, on the track Therapy Session, the singer lays bare his struggles, an emotional honesty that's carried over into his social media, where he's admitted to feeling both unworthy and broken at times. This era marks his first full-length project in more than four years and his first since gaining full creative control after his high-profile split from longtime manager Scooter Braun, a move Rolling Stone reported Bieber has no regrets about. People magazine detailed how wife Hailey Bieber not only supported Justin throughout the process but also gave him the confidence to trust his artistic instincts and create the album he'd always wanted.Bieber and Hailey have taken Europe by storm this week, sharing intimate snapshots with fans on Instagram, including adorable photos of their son, Jack, ahead of his first birthday next month. Their family getaway dovetailed with Hailey's own business milestone—a Rhode skincare pop-up in Mallorca. According to People, Justin was there to support her, returning the encouragement she's given him through his creative rebirth. The news cycle also saw Justin and Scooter Braun settle their tour dispute, with reports from IQ Magazine that Bieber agreed to pay his former manager over 30 million dollars relating to the canceled Justice World Tour. Speculation of a new tour following the release of Swag has bubbled up in outlets like Los40 and Extra Chill, thanks to prominent album billboards and the artist's hints, but nothing official has been announced. Fan rumor about a Coachella 2025 appearance, stoked by Twitter chatter and a viral Reddit thread, remains unsubstantiated as neither Goldenvoice nor Bieber's team have confirmed any booking. Meanwhile, Bieber's past health issues, especially his battle with Ramsay Hunt syndrome and ongoing mental health advocacy, continue to shape the narrative. Bieber has been photographed energetically celebrating the album's release, and there's no shortage of commentary on his social media, where he recently reaffirmed his strong relationship with Hailey despite recurring breakup gossip.Swag's arrival signals not just a comeback, but a return on Bieber's own terms—marked by newfound independence, artistic risk, and a tightly knit family unit that continues to captivate both the music world and the ever-watchful celebrity press.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta
Justin Bieber BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Bieber is firmly back in the global spotlight after dropping his surprise seventh studio album, Swag, on July 11, 2025. The album, his first in over four years, has drawn major headlines for its raw and deeply personal themes, with collaborations from big names like Gunna, Sexyy Red, Cash Cobain, and gospel vocalist Marvin Winans. Swag is being celebrated as Bieber's most vulnerable and stripped-down work yet, a product of his newfound creative independence after parting ways with longtime manager Scooter Braun in 2023. People Magazine reports that Braun himself described the album as “beautiful” and “raw” and insiders say Hailey Bieber supported Justin every step of the way during its creation.Bieber's lyrics and recent social media posts echo ongoing struggles with mental health and public pressure, opening up about feeling “unworthy” and at times “broken.” This honest approach is resonating with fans old and new. The album release was accompanied by a family-centric European vacation—Justin shared intimate photos of himself with Hailey and their son Jack, who is about to celebrate his first birthday, on Instagram, giving fans a rare look inside their family life. While Hailey was working on her Rhode skincare pop-up in Mallorca, the couple seemed closer than ever, addressing—if indirectly—the persistent but unfounded breakup rumors swirling on social media. E! News picked up on Justin's own post declaring his devotion to Hailey, shutting down speculation with a simple four-word caption, “If it's not Hailey.”Swag's surprise release reignited speculation about a possible Coachella 2025 appearance following a viral Reddit thread and Pop Base tweet, but so far, festival organizers have offered no official confirmation. Skepticism remains due to last year's festival controversies and fan concerns about Bieber's health and stability after his much-publicized battle with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused partial facial paralysis and led to the cancellation of his previous world tour.Businesswise, Bieber remains a powerhouse. His estimated net worth in 2025 is $200 million, fueled not just by music but by brand deals, fashion collaborations, and the lucrative sale of his music catalog to Hipgnosis for another $200 million. He's also been visible in new clips for the lifestyle brand Skylrk, with Extra Chill noting “he is indeed standing on business.” Media outlets in the US and Latin America are buzzing about the possibility of a new tour—sites like Rebel Music and Los 40 suggest shows in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, and Las Vegas—but no dates or official announcements have been made, and it remains unclear if Bieber will return to the road. What's clear is that Justin Bieber's new era—defined by creative control, vulnerability, and family focus—is making waves across both music charts and celebrity headlines.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

Justin Bieber BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Bieber is firmly back in the spotlight after releasing his surprise seventh studio album Swag on July 11, 2025, under Def Jam. The album marks his first full-length release in over four years and features 21 tracks with a star-studded lineup, including Gunna, Sexyy Red, Cash Cobain, Druski, and Marvin Winans on the gospel-tinged closer Forgiveness, signaling a more mature and vulnerable direction. Swag's sudden arrival was teased by global billboards and a dramatic reveal of the tracklist in New York's Times Square, which sent fans and the music press into overdrive. The reception: the album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and its emotionally raw lyrics—touching on fatherhood, mental health challenges, and family life—have been widely praised as a new peak in Bieber's artistic evolution according to Coast1045 and confirmed by People. In tandem with the album drop, Bieber made headlines for his very public affection toward wife Hailey Bieber, reposting her bikini photos from Mallorca on his Instagram Stories with an over-the-top reaction and sparking a fresh wave of positive gossip about their marriage. The couple, who married in 2018 and welcomed their first child Jack in August 2024, spent the album release weekend celebrating together. According to People, Hailey played a major role in supporting Justin's creative freedom on Swag, especially since he parted ways with longtime manager Scooter Braun in 2023—a move that Rolling Stone reports allowed Bieber to finally work on his own terms.Speculation swirled on social media about a possible return to touring, with fans noticing hints in Bieber's posts and some outlets suggesting a potential world tour announcement. However, Los40 and Extra Chill clarify that nothing official has been announced, and sources close to Bieber suggest ongoing caution due to his past struggles with Ramsay Hunt syndrome and mental health issues that led to the cancellation of his previous Justice World Tour. Skepticism remains regarding any major festival appearances for 2025, with Coachella insiders pointing to organizers' preference for stability over headline drama. On the business front, Bieber's estimated net worth stands at $300 million as detailed by Fourth Wall Production, fueled not just by music but by his successful Drew House brand, the Generosity water startup, and strategic real estate investments from Beverly Hills to Europe. He's also expanded into the fashion world with his new line SKYLRK according to VinylMePlease, reinforcing his cultural reach well beyond music. Social media buzz remains intense. Bieber's Instagram brims with album promotion, candid snaps with Hailey, and playful nods to his personal life. He's also directly addressed rumors about his mental health, calling out “gossip” and affirming his commitment to his family and craft. In summary, Justin Bieber's week has been a masterclass in celebrity comeback, blending musical vulnerability, relationship affirmation, and business acumen, with every move scrutinized and celebrated by fans and media alike.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta
Justin Bieber BioSnap a weekly updated Biography. In a week dominated by surprise, Justin Bieber has electrified both music and pop culture headlines with his return. On July 11, the singer dropped his long-awaited seventh studio album, Swag, under Def Jam—a move that nobody saw coming until billboards popped up in Reykjavik and Los Angeles and Bieber ignited his social media with cryptic teasers. The album immediately set the internet ablaze: fans on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) revived “Bieber Fever” and group chats exploded, celebrating what many are calling his most personal and vulnerable project yet, according to the LA Times.Swag is Bieber's first full-length studio release in over four years, and marks a significant moment in his evolution as both an artist and a person. The 21-track album dives deep into topics like fatherhood with an emotional acknowledgment of his son Jack Blues Bieber, mental health struggles, and renewed commitment to his marriage with Hailey Bieber—all wrapped in a blend of R and B, pop, and gospel influences. The closing track, Forgiveness, even features gospel star Marvin Winans, underlining the album's spiritual undertones. People magazine reports Hailey was by Justin's side throughout the creative process, with sources noting this project was made entirely on his own terms after officially severing ties with his longtime manager, Scooter Braun. Braun, for his part, publicly praised Swag as “raw” and “beautiful.”Bieber's public appearances remain under the spotlight. In April, he made headlines for a brief but memorable cameo at Coachella 2025, dancing alongside Tems and Wizkid. However, fans and festival insiders remain cautious about his future live appearances. Extra Chill's festival wire details how his erratic on-site behavior and visible cannabis use raised concerns about his readiness for a main-stage comeback—igniting but not confirming rumors that he might headline Coachella 2025. At the moment, Goldenvoice has announced no formal booking.Bieber's business activities have quietly expanded alongside his artistic ventures. Vinyl Me Please and other industry insiders note he has launched a fashion brand, SKYLRK, and continues to profit from Drew House and his water startup, Generosity. Financially, he is thriving, with his net worth estimated between $200 and $300 million, bolstered by a $200 million sale of his music catalog to Hipgnosis in 2023 and impressive real estate investments, as reported by Fourth Wall Production and Celebrity Net Worth. On social media, Bieber has directly addressed rumors about his mental health, calling much of the speculation “gossip and lies,” but he's also embraced the chance to showcase honesty in both his music and public persona. As for tour plans, recent headlines suggest fans are eager but nothing official has been announced, especially as he continues to recover from previous health setbacks related to Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, as LOS40 reports. For now, Bieber's Swag is not just an album but a reset of his narrative—one marked by growth, independence, and the undimmed curiosity of the public.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

Next, it's Pusha T vs. Travis Scott — from Pusha's slick shots to Travis's weak clapback, and why not every rapper should die on the lyrical hill just because fans want it (56:30). Then (1:00:50), they unpack Jay-Z's quiet power plays — why Hov always sees everything, how he drops billion-dollar subliminals when it counts, and Nicki Minaj's public call-out of Roc Nation (1:04:30). By (1:10:00), they pivot to the real lesson in Nicki vs. Jay-Z: comparing her rant to Scooter Braun's big machine tactics and why Cassie's low-key Diddy lawsuit shows how smart money moves are made (1:12:30). Finally (1:15:00), they share a hilarious story about Jamie Foxx's surprise “grown son” moment, the secret kid paranoia, and the reality of avoiding messy headlines — with one last message about betting on yourself, side missions and all. Justin Bieber BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Bieber has had an intense and revealing past week, making headlines with both deeply personal revelations and ongoing speculation about his music and business activities. According to Good Morning America, Bieber posted an emotional and candid Instagram message on June 16th, addressing his ongoing struggles with anger issues and describing himself as feeling "broken." He wrote, "People keep telling me to heal. Don't you think if I could have fixed myself I would have already?" Bieber went on to explain how his anger is a response to past trauma, stating, "My anger is a response to the pain I have been thru. Asking a traumatized person not to be traumatized is simply mean." In a separate post, he shared direct messages with an unidentified contact, ending the friendship after being accused of lashing out, and insisting that expressing anger is part of authentic relationships, not something to suppress. These posts have sparked a wave of support and concern among fans.On the lighter side, Justin has simultaneously shared glimpses of his family life, posting several photos with his son Jack Blues, whom he shares with wife Hailey Bieber. Celebrating milestones like Hailey's first Mother's Day, Bieber's social media has mixed vulnerability with moments of joy and pride in his new role as a father. Access Hollywood reports that despite his recent emotional confessions, Bieber has also been active in defending himself publicly. Just last week, he was caught on camera in a viral 11-minute confrontation with a paparazzo, where he passionately demanded respect, emphasizing that his anger is a reaction to being disrespected, not a sign of malice. There is ongoing speculation about a major comeback. Hypebeast and Puck News have both reported that Bieber is planning a return to music in 2025, possibly motivated by both creative desire and financial necessity after debts from a cancelled tour. Although his representatives have not confirmed a new album or tour, Rebel Music suggests preparations are underway for a global tour aligned with an upcoming album, which would be his first full project since 2021's Justice. On the business front, Bieber has parted ways with his long-time manager Scooter Braun, indicating a significant transformation in his professional circle, a move confirmed by multiple sources. On social media, Bieber's posts have trended for their candidness, including confessions about conflicts with Hailey—specifically noting past arguments about her career—and his critiques of transactional relationships. His candid admissions, ongoing family updates, and hints at a musical return continue to fuel speculation about his next chapter, underscoring a period of genuine transformation, vulnerability, and perhaps, reinvention for the pop star.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta
Justin Bieber BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Bieber has been at the center of a whirlwind of headlines and behind-the-scenes negotiations this week, with financial drama, personal milestones, and speculation about his musical comeback all making waves. According to TMZ and Reality Tea, Justin has nearly reached a major financial settlement with his longtime former manager Scooter Braun. The roots of their dispute go back to the abrupt cancellation of his Justice World Tour in 2022, which left Bieber indebted to AEG for $26 million. Braun's company, Hybe, stepped in and covered the debt, but Bieber had reportedly failed to fully pay back Hybe as agreed, with an independent PricewaterhouseCoopers audit revealing he still owes Braun $8.6 million in commissions and millions more in other outstanding payments over the years. With his wife Hailey Bieber having recently landed a staggering $1 billion deal for her beauty brand Rhode, sources close to the matter say Bieber has now agreed to settle his debts. TMZ notes the settlement is expected imminently, possibly within days, marking a significant turning point in one of pop music's most lucrative partnerships and putting an end to months of speculation about Bieber's financial status. On the music front, rumors about a 2025 comeback tour continue to swirl, though nothing has been officially confirmed. Rebel Music and Hypebeast have both reported that Bieber has been seen in the studio and that talks of a new album and global tour are gaining traction. However, given his recent focus on health and family—especially following the birth of his son Jack Blues Bieber—there's some skepticism about how quickly he'll take the stage again. Hypebeast points out that his 2022 tour cancellation was for health reasons tied to Ramsay Hunt syndrome, so observers are keenly watching for signs of his readiness to return.Social media has been both a platform for fan concern and a source of viral misinformation. A recent Instagram post by Bieber on June 18, as seen on his official page, hinted at personal frustration but details remain vague, prompting a wave of support and worry from fans. Meanwhile, Myth Detector debunked viral, fabricated quotes about Bieber and rapper P. Diddy circulating on social media, clarifying that Bieber has not commented on Diddy's legal troubles and is instead prioritizing his family life.In summary, Justin Bieber's week has been defined by a high-stakes business settlement with Scooter Braun about to close, ongoing but unconfirmed plans for a musical comeback, intense social media scrutiny, and a strong public focus on his wife and newborn son. These developments could signal a new era for the pop superstar, with the financial resolution and possible return to music both poised to reshape the next chapter of his legacy.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

In light of the biggest news in Taylor Swift history - Taylor buying back her masters - we thought this would be a good time to revisit the reason that Taylor was re-recording her work in the first place! At the start of this podcast nearly 4 years ago, one of the very first episodes we did was a breakdown of the legal and emotional battle between Taylor Swift, her old record label, Scooter Braun, and more. This podcast started alongside Taylor's mission to re-record her work and gain back ownership of everything. Given the great news in her success, a lot of new fans (or old fans who needed a refresher) were curious as to why this was all so important. This week's episode is a repost of our original "Revenge of the Re-recordings" episode from 2021, so everything you hear dates back to that. This podcast is sponsored by BetterHelp.
