While growing up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a young Beth Bombara took piano lessons in grade school. By the time she was entering high school, she had become interested in another instrument: her Mom's electric guitar. She formed a punk band, Green Means Go, wrote some songs with her bandmates, and before long was playing for local audiences and gaining a loyal following. After attending college in both Michigan and Illinois, Beth moved to St. Louis, where she lives today. And, that following she had in high school…has now grown into a very large fan base. She stopped by the Frets studio today and I really hope you enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed talking with the very talented singer-songwriter and guitarist, Beth Bombara.Photo by Virginia Harold.More information about Beth Bombara can be found here.Save on certified Pre-Owned iPhones, Androids, AirPods, Macs, Smartwatches, accessories, and more at Plug Tech. Ian and David welcome co-writer director Linh Tran and Executive Producer James Choi for a discussion about the making of Tran's feature-length film debut, Waiting for the Light to Change! The movie takes place in the early spring of 2021 at a Michigan lake house, where several friends have gathered for a weeklong getaway. Amy (Jin Park) and Kim (Joyce Ha) are lifelong best friends whose relationship has taken a downward turn since Kim began dating Jay (Sam Straley), a guy that Amy has a significant crush on–and who is also staying at the house. GREEN MEANS GO! The only thing I hate more than sitting at a red light, is sitting behind someone who isn't paying attention at a green light. When you are the first person at a red light, you are the leader when the light turns green. If you don't answer the call to go when you have the green light, you hold so many others up behind you from answering their GO. So go when God gives you the green light to talk to someone, give, write a book (me), teach a class, or whatever He's giving you the green light for. Have a great week.

In this episode, Nathan Piper of GRS Pros discusses his journey in the construction industry, from personal development to building a franchise model. He shares insights on recruiting, company culture, growth philosophy, and the role of creativity in scalability. Nathan also talks about leveraging technology and the impact of core values on business growth.
Culture shouldn't be forced. It should be natural and self-sustaining.There's a huge difference between an authentic culture and a fabricated one. From the get-go, these two will look all too similar!Everyone's saying they're businesses are “built on trust”, and no one's shy in showcasing this motto on every bit of Ad collateral they employ. That's the problem…everyone's saying the same thing! But only a rare few, like Nate Piper and GRS Pros can walk the talk!Nate is the Founder and CEO of Greenlight Restoration Solution (GRS) Pros, a remodeling company that offers services such as living space remodeling, water damage repair, mold remediation, designing and building. Here's what makes GRS Pros the successful and trusted company that they are today…Nate has built a culture wherein “Built on Trust” IS NOT just a motto – it's actually the (ONLY) way they do business and they've positively transformed countless lives as a result of their ethics!Beyond the paper and the Ad Campaigns, GRS Pros display of trust resonates with employees and clients alike, and this authentic demonstration has given birth to the scalability that their company now enjoys! The challenge in building a culture is finding the perfect fit for your people's personalities and goals. Nate has outlined for us how culture is practically created through best practices in hiring, development of systems and processes, and leveraging technology. With a natural and sustainable culture that everyone strongly believes in, GRS Pros has become home to the “3-Right Guarantee – We'll do the Job RIGHT, at the RIGHT price, and if anything goes wrong, we'll make it RIGHT!”Authentic Culture VS Fabricated Culture? How does culture tie-in with people, systems and processes, and technology? Ep. 405 - Seems fitting that here on St. Patrick's Day, green would be the word of the day for the Cardinals during the first day of the new league year. First, A.J. Green agrees to terms, satisfying the team's need to find a No. 2 wide receiver. Then, center Rodney Hudson is acquired via trade with the Raiders which following the re-signing of right tackle Kelvin Beachum, adds another veteran piece to the offensive line. Hudson and Beachum are far from green in their experience on the line of scrimmage. Craig Grialou and Mike Jurecki discuss the busy start to free agency, including reacting in real time to the news the team has a new kicker in Matt Prater.
