Ch - Ch - Ch - Changes Turn and face the strange Ch - Ch - Ch - Changes! Change is difficult for most people. And things are already pretty stressful in this world right now. On today's episode of The Be Ruthless Show, I discuss some unexpected, but extremely necessary, changes I'm making…… Griefhab's 2nd Annual Healing Together Through the Holidays is ch-ch-ch-changing locations - because of my health, and most importantly - Sassy's! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your compassion and understanding! Some of you will love this adjustment, and others will say it's unprofessional. This decision is for me - and all of you silently struggling. If I don't do what's best for me, I won't be my best for you. If I ignore my intuition, I'll suffer somehow. The entire event is FREE and STREAMING VIRTUALLY everywhere - none of that has changed! We'll rock it out on our college campus in Metro Detroit next year. This year will be a LIVE VIP Experience in Colorado for an exclusive group! Meet the Major Keynote Speakers, Faces of Grief Authors, & More. It's turning into something better. Something more beautiful. A change this close to the event is scary. Not making the change is scarier!! From new people entering the Griefhab community after negative experiences somewhere else - or no experience at all because they just couldn't find anywhere to go. From old clients returning because they can't find new services. Or they're not happy with what they've found. And on and on the list goes. I've never done this before, but on todays episode of The Be Ruthless Show, I'm going to tell you why I'm different. Why Griefhab is different. Why Team Ruthless is different. I'm going to tell you what my clients have always told me - I am the best at what I do. There's no one else who has anything remotely close to what I have to offer. So many of my clients are struggling right now. Feeling embarrassed or ashamed when, in reality, they've had major breakthroughs. They've been in situations and felt (or heard) their intuition. But because we don't talk about this, because we're not taught to listen - we might even be taught to NOT listen - they had no idea what was happening. Tune in to today's episode to learn all about your intuition, recognizing it, understanding what to do with it, and turning it into your roadmap for life! Sassy and Dallas are my babies, not “just my dogs.” Someone said that about Sassy when I first moved to Denver and I thought Jim was going to lose it I've now met two vets who really love Griefhab and recognize their clients need for support when they lose a furry family member. Introducing Griefhab for Pets. While this is wonderful, it's also been eye opening for me. It's shown me what I already knew, which is that this world needs to do more. Veterinarians do more for their clients than doctors and funeral homes do for theirs. I said it -July is Bereaved Parents Month. Parents receive absolutely nothing when they lose a child. I received absolutely nothing when I lost Jim. Not even a piece of paper with phone numbers. Veterinarians immediately connect you with The Rainbow Bridge. And they're actively looking to do more. They're thrilled to hear about Griefhab. While hospitals and funeral homes are turning Griefhab away. I was welcoming someone new into The Griefhab Community recently, and she told me a story that reminded me why I created Griefhab in the first place. There is NOT enough support available for people dealing with any type of loss. And the support that is available is often lacking. It's my job to reach out to you. It's my job to take stress off of your plate, not add to it. And what about the word grief. Let's just talk about the overall perception surrounding the word itself. On today's episode of The Be Ruthless Show, I discuss all of this and more. I discuss why we need to Redefine Grief - so that people get the support they need. I discuss services that are available, where to find them, and how to change the conversations - today, not tomorrow. Since I moved to Colorado 9 years ago, I've been extremely vocal about how different mental healthcare is here. And not in a good way. Moving to Northern Colorado has given me hope - but only for Northern Colorado. Denver and the surrounding areas are still light years behind where things need to be. In the conversations. In the education. In the services they provide. A recent Douglas County Elementary School made headlines - for alllll the wrong reasons, as indicated by this title: “DougCo elementary school uses excessive restraint on second-grader” On today's episode of The Be Ruthless Show, I discuss YOUR RIGHTS. I discuss services that are available to your children, although they're not advertised or offered. I discuss when and how you need to become involved. These are YOUR children. Join me for a conversation with the amazing Samantha Ruth. Samantha spent her life building a resume to impress, with titles such as Transformational Psychologist, Speaker, and Best Selling Author but her world shattered into millions of pieces when she unexpectedly lost her husband. Instead of giving up, Samantha turned her pain into her power and helps others to do the same by guiding them to be their true selves not who they think they need to be, by embracing their differences, and by living life on their own terms. Samantha's mission is to change the way the world views mental health, so people can openly speak about whatever issues they have and get the help they not only need but deserve without fear of judgment, labels, and repercussions. Samantha is the proud founder of Griefhab, a 24/7 community open to anyone who has experienced a loss. After personally living through this, Samantha realized just how much support she needed on a daily basis. She vowed to create these services so that others would have more support available in their times of need. In her free time, you can find Samantha with her pups, Sassy and Dallas, on one of their outdoor adventures. They love living in Colorado and never miss an opportunity to explore their beautiful surroundings.
