Restricting food to fix binge eating is like using gasoline to put out a fire. It just won't work! In today's episode, I sit down with Amber Romaniuk to explore the root causes of binge eating, bulimia, and food addiction that most people completely overlook. Amber shares how low progesterone triggers insatiable cravings by disrupting your hunger signals and mood-stabilizing neurotransmitters, why candida and parasites hijack your brain to demand constant sugar, and how unworthiness created in childhood keeps you trapped in self-sabotage cycles for decades.  We explore practical solutions such as hormone testing, building energetic boundaries as an empath, healing your inner child, and stopping the all-or-nothing perfectionism that makes every diet backfire.   "Once you heal and have your power back, nothing externally influences you anymore. 5 Proven Strategies to Stop Binge Eating and Reclaim Your Life Synopsis: Binge Eating Disorder is the most common—and most misunderstood—eating disorder in the world. Many people blame themselves, chalking their struggles up to a lack of willpower or addiction, never realizing there's a real psychological reason behind their pain. In this powerful session, renowned psychoanalyst Dr. Nina Savelle-Rocklin reveals the emotional roots beneath binge eating, drawing on her own journey from years of suffering to true recovery. Dr. Nina will share five proven strategies that go far beyond dieting or self-discipline. Instead, she'll guide you through the process of “emotional gardening”—getting to the root causes hidden below the surface. With warmth, expertise, and real-life wisdom, Dr. Nina will help you recognize and address the real reasons behind binge eating so you can create lasting freedom and finally reclaim your life. Discover the practical steps Dr. Nina has used with countless clients—and in her own life—to break the cycle of binge eating for good. Learn why food is never the real problem, how to identify the emotional triggers sabotaging your peace, and walk away with actionable tools to nurture healing from the inside out. Bio: Dr. Nina's personal history fuels her passion for helping others. She once considered herself "the poster child for eating disorders." After struggling for 15 years, she went to therapy for anxiety. She never disclosed her disordered eating to her therapist, yet she left therapy completely healed from all eating disorders. How was this possible? Food was never the problem; it was a negative "solution" to the problem. She became a psychotherapist because she wanted to help other people liberate themselves and find peace. Dr. Nina knows that our hidden emotions and conflicts have power over us. She believes in "emotional gardening" to get to the roots of why we're stuck. Just as we cannot see a root, but it grows the weeds, our hidden thoughts lead to the behaviors that cause pain. By digging deep, we get rid of the emotional roots and create lasting freedom. She is on the board of Rose City Center, a psychoanalytically informed flexible fee counseling and training center, where she is the Director of the Development Committee. The center's mission is to provide psychotherapy services to underserved communities throughout California. As the mother of two daughters–one biological and one adopted from China–she advocates adoption and believes that love is born in the heart. She and her family sponsor three children through Love Without Boundaries. Her special needs deaf Great Dane named Zane is also a member of the family, and the ASPCA is another favored charity. When she is not treating patients or coaching clients, you can find her hugging trees in her backyard, weight training, or watching romantic comedies with her family.  Website: https://drninainc.com/ Book: The Binge Cure https://drninainc.com/the-binge-cure/ Video Version: https://www.youtube.com/live/XTV8kh1h6Mk?si=W2I_ihiWIXSHdreF Chat with Teresa during Live Show with Video Stream: write a question on YouTube Learn more about Teresa here: https://www.webebookspublishing.com    http://authenticendeavorspublishing.com/
