Together with American Songwriter, we had the pleasure of interviewing Zach Allard and Antonio Metcalf of Discrepancies over Zoom video!Discrepancies is a Rap/Rock band out of St. Louis who have formed an undeniably powerful and innovative sound. Comprised of Garrett Weakley (Bass), Addison Bracher (Guitar/vocals), Zach Allard (Drums), and Antonio Metcalf (Vocals) have formed a unique take on Rap Rock incorporating heavy riffs, soaring choruses, and breakdowns with intense lyricism and hip hop elements. In January 2018, Discrepancies signed to InVogue Records. They released their debut album “The Awakening” in March of 2018 and had over a million streams in the first week. "The Awakening" landed on Billboard charts peaking at #32 Alt New Artist and #108 Top New Artist. The band set out on multiple short-run tours throughout the year with bands such as Ded, Kottonmouth Kings, Memphis May Fire, and even the Final Vans Warped Tour. On this episode of March Forth with Mike Bauman, Mike chats with Antonio Metcalf (ATG) and Zach Allard of Discrepancies! Fusing together Rap and Rock, St. Louis' own Discrepancies have steadily grown a loyal following since the release of their debut single "Get Hype" in 2014 and self-titled EP that same year. In 2018, they signed with InVogue Records and released their debut LP The Awakening. From anthemic tracks like "Raising the Bar," "Rock the Show" and the remastered "Get Hype," to the motivating nature of "Not Alone" and "Keep Hope Alive," to the hard-hitting lyrics from ATG in "Wake Up," The Awakening had over a million streams in the first week of its release. The band also brings that same energy to their YouTube channel, where they continue to put out both creative music videos and behind the scenes footage. Antonio (vocals) and Zach (drums) talk with Mike about their first live performances, the St. Louis music scene, how Discrepancies came together, building a fan base, and getting signed by InVogue Records. Additionally, the pair talks to Mike about the challenges of 2020, the band's collective excitement about their latest single "Crawling Back," their upcoming sophomore LP The Rise (out Oct. 23rd), and more. This episode also features "Crawling Back," available now! To pre-order The Rise and follow Discrepancies, visit https://www.discrepanciesmusic.com/. Vocalist Nick Moore formed Findlay, OH's Before Their Eyes in 2006. The band quickly gained a large following through their albums on Rise Records and constant touring with acts like Saosin, Norma Jean, Silverstein, Blessthefall, and many other hardcore and post-hardcore outfits. Moore has kept the passion project alive almost singlehandedly over the years, continuing to put out material with a revolving door of different musicians. 2020 has already seen the release of three singles and a remix of their 2019 song, "Why 6 is Afraid of 7," on Moore's own label InVogue Records. Oh yeah... did I mention he's ran his own record label since 2009? Those are just two of the businesses the married father-of-three keeps himself running at a brisk pace with. After hearing Before Their Eyes' latest remix "6 vs. 7," catching up on their back catalog, and reading up on Nick Moore's background in Christian music, I decided to reach out and find out more about this hardworking member of the hardcore and punk community. Watch or listen to hear Moore and I chat about everything from his favorite superhero to what TV shows he watches, and how his faith affects his career choices and life. We also talk about how he keeps himself busy even when he's already busy. Come get educated as to why you should be listening to Before Their Eyes and other InVogue Records artists. .You can get more info on Before Their Eyes at https://www.facebook.com/beforetheireyesband/ The website for InVogue Records can be found at https://www.invoguerecords.com/.

On this episode, I have singer/songwriter Will Deely on to talk about his brand new record, "Goner", with Heavy Things, his brand new band that signed with InVogue Records in 2016. Whether you're a fan of The Fray or The Story So Far, there's something for everyone to enjoy with this record, and I dive into it with Will, getting into what shaped it. You may have heard his song "Souvenir" while visiting your favorite Starbucks location, as it was on the company's national playlist for January 2017.
