In this conversation, Izabela Russell discusses her experience working with AI in the audio production industry and the role of women in this field. She explains how her company, Music Radio Creative, has embraced AI technology and the potential impact it may have on voiceover artists. Izabela also shares her insights on the future of AI and the importance of maintaining a human touch. TakeawaysAddressing cultural and gender biases is crucial in AI systems to ensure equal representation and diversity.AI has the potential to greatly impact healthcare, but biases in data must be corrected to avoid repeating existing problems.Ethical considerations are essential in AI development, and there is a need for more women to have a voice in the AI community.Age-appropriate AI tools are necessary to protect children and shape their perception of gender roles. The rapid advancement of AI technology raises concerns about its impact on society and the need for ongoing discussions and research.Links relevant to this episode:Izabela Russell | LinkedInHer starring Joaquin PhoenixTimnit Gebru | LinkedInFast Like a Girl: A Woman's Guide to Burning Fat, Increasing Energy, and Balancing Hormones with the Healing PowerAudio Unicorn on Apple PodcastsRadio Jingles, DJ Drops, DJ Jingles, Podcast Intros, Voices Overs — Music Radio Creative
Music Radio Creative's Izabela Russell recently said on their channel that she sees a mass exodus happening in the voice over industry. And while Izabela's take is stark, and blunt, it's not new. Do I agree with her? Yes. And no. I'll get to that. I agree, and I've said this for years, that AI will obliterate the bottom end of the industry where price is and always has been the primary driver. And I think that's a good thing because for those of us who have taken the time and effort to get the training, build our businesses, and command pro rates, AI will take clients who don't care about quality in the first place off the table. It will give them a better solution to their problem, and it will eliminate or at least minimize the garbage work out there for human voice actors. And for those who haven't taken that time and effort, I do think there is a reckoning coming. So, what do we do? As voice actors? Push is in fact coming to shove, so what do we do when the robots can do what most voice actors can do? _____________________________ ▶️ Watch this video next: https://youtu.be/wd63s83Yr80?si=h5RzojaxuQuLrVBn SUBSCRIBE: https://www.youtube.com/@paulschmidtpro?sub_confirmation=1 The VO Freedom Master Plan: https://paulschmidtpro.com/vo-freedom-master-plan The VO Pro Community: https://vopro.app Use code You15Tube for 15% your subscription for life. Welcome to the ninth bonus episode of the Confident Live Marketing Podcast, where we're celebrating the run-up to our 200th episode and 4th anniversary! In this bonus episode, I re-run the interview with two amazing guests: Michelle Levitt, Marketing and Creative Director of Heil Sound, a professional audio equipment manufacturer, and Izabela Russell, the CEO of Music Radio Creative, a company specializing in audio branding. We dive into the importance of audio branding and its role in reflecting your personality. We also discuss the technical aspects of microphones and how they can impact your voice's authenticity. Here are the key takeaways from our conversations:Audio branding: How you want to be perceived and how you want people to feel when they listen to your content. Consider the intro, outro, and elements in between, along with suitable music and voice artists.Reflecting your personality with Izabela Russell: Think about how your audio branding can reflect your personality. If you're quirky and fun, incorporate that into your branding. If you're more serious, choose music and voice elements that match that vibe.Energy and authenticity: The energy you project on camera should be a slightly heightened version of your true self. Be authentic, and don't be afraid to showcase your energy.Microphone frequency response with Michelle Levitt: The range of frequencies a microphone can capture. Look for a small rise in the 2-5 kHz range for better articulation on the human voice.Choosing the right microphone: The difference between microphones like the Heil PR 30 and PR 40 lies in their unique frequency responses. The PR 40 has more low-end and gives a warm, traditional broadcast sound, while the PR 30 has more mid-range presence.Authenticity in your voice: Choose a microphone that makes you sound like yourself. When people meet you in person, they should not be surprised by how your voice sounds compared to your podcast or live show. Please Subscribe! Don't miss an episode! Founders of New Media Europe Mike & Izabela Russell share insights on putting together a conference, dominating the podcasting world, and most importantly, auto-tuning my voice.
“ The show must go on.” It’s only right and fitting Izabela Russell is the first Podcast Diva stepping into the spotlight; not only is Isabella part of the podcasting scene in the UK but also part of my podcast journey. Izabela Russell is host of Analysing Brands – Branding Cow and co-host of the Audio Production Show from Music Radio Creative, a company producing jingles, intros and voiceovers where Izabela is a director alongside husband Mike Russell.Izabela is also the co-founder of UK PodcastersandManaging Director and co-founder of the New Media Europe conference, and co-host of the New Media Europe Show podcast. Episode 2 As you can tell from this description, podcasting is now a huge part of Izabela’s life and business but it wasn’t always like that. In episode 2 Izabela talks about how she went from banking to podcasting and much more including: How Izabela was dragged into podcasting. How long it took to record her first session. Finding her inner voice and broadcasting it on a podcast. The unusual podcast experiment Izabela and Mike undertook. Split testing podcast subjects, lessons learned and the results. From 1 podcast to 5 and back to 1. Outsourcing a podcast and the post production process Work flow. Podcasting as part of a lifestyle choice. Why you should have a website. Going against the status quo. UK Podcasters and New Media Europe “I was terrified! My mic technique was totally not there… I used to feel stressed…but now it’s just a conversation.” Top tips “A podcast is about getting to know the real you….It’s quite difficult to find the real you…Do not lose patience it will eventually come out”. Do not be afraid to ask. Don’t let the process put you off starting – you can always outsource it. Don’t be a Diva-In-Waiting any longer! “Things I know can be done by someone else – I will happily and easily outsource.” #1 recommendation for Divas-in-waiting Get a plan of action, set a date and be accountable for it. Get an accountability buddy. Break it down to smaller steps and tiny sub tasks to create an agile working environment. “Make a plan… break it down to tiny sub steps… Take it one step at a time.” Which of Izabela’s shows to listen to: New Media Europe Another podcast Diva we should be listening to: The Jillian Michaels Show - U.S. trainer and coach Jillian Michaels talks about health fitness and well-being. Are we asking too much or is it a great way to show your support of a show? Beyond awards, we're repeatedly faced with asking our audience for all many different things. We ask for reviews, ratings, feedback, sign-ups, and a whole host of other things that we put into every episode. So how much is too much? Join me (Ray Ortega), +David Jackson, +Nick Seuberling +Corey Fineran +Izabela Russell and +Ileane Smith to discuss the balance between asking your audience to support your show and wearing them out asking for too much.
