In today's weekend episode we have highlights of a prior show. We covered episode #731 - While recovering 18 months from back surgery, she built incredible Amazon income streams. The full episode can be heard at https://silentjim.com/podcast This podcast features 53 year old twins Jerry and John, who have worked together for over 30 years! Jerry details how they found Jim Cockrum and what drew them to this community! John shares how they toyed with the idea of joining a “done for you program” but ended up not going that route - thankfully! Jim reiterates how so many programs (about 98%) are scams and a quick way to lose money. Jim recommends a “litmus test” before joining any program and that starts with finding their community and hanging out with them for a while. The guests share how they are doing both RA (retail arbitrage) and OA (online arbitrage). Jim talks about the “lightbulb moment” that happens when it clicks for new sellers. Jim mentions Podcast #744 The guests share how when they 1st started. They also discuss how more brands became ungated for them when they reached about $7000 in sales. The guests talk about how they primarily do FBA now that they have proof of concept that this strategy works! Jim and the guests talk about the analogy with sports when it comes to Amazon selling The guest shares how he was skeptical going into his 1st conference because he is a “connoisseur of good leadership” Jim says that “leaders produce leaders!” and that leadership is a topic that he is very passionate about! The guest shares, as a new seller, he feels that finding test worthy ASINs is the #1 priority and Jim wholeheartedly agrees! Repricers are discussed as well Jim talks with the guests what to expect as their business grows! He recommends looking into branded bundles . Jim reminds everyone that a rising tide raises all ships! The guests ask Jim how he recommends increasing their sales to $100-$200k: Jim shares a Dave Ramsey principle about small businesses: The 1st person you hire should be someone who goes out and kills something and brings it back into the cave…” The guests share their thankfulness for Jim, his community and all the available help. Jim shares how he views his work as a ministry and how he loves what he does! Jim says how he doesn't want followers but instead success stories coming out of this community! Jim has a discussion with vetted insurance agent Ashlin Hadden regarding insuring your Amazon business! This segment is packed full of information that all sellers should listen to! Today's ProvenAmazonCourse.com student interview is with a guy who blasted past six figures in total sales pretty fast and you'll love hearing his inspirational story! He's following the REPLENS model and is really doing well with the "above buy box" method as you'll soon hear. As a matter of fact he recently sold 20 units in a single day of a product that was priced well above all the other sellers who were fighting over the "buy box" using the strategy that we teach in the PAC. He tells all about this strategies and how's he's gone form "clueless newbie" to Amazon selling success story in such a short time. 022 Ryan Reger - Is Profit Good? For a family business? My Dad has been a part of a community called Proven Amazon Course with Jim Cockrum at the helm. My dad has shared with me over the years the possibility of starting a business online. In one email that my dad forwarded to me it was a podcast with Ryan Reger. I ordered Ryan's book and listened to the audio book. The book is short and sweet and gave me hope and inspiration that this would be possible for me and my family. Due to my Dad's encouragement and modeling, Sungshim and I believe and want to see Zachariah & Zoe start an online business before they graduate high school.Part of this journey is building relationships with people we can learn from. Ryan is a great guy who seeks to share what he has learned. We had a lot of fun in this conversation. And, we integrate how God can speak to us and lead us. May you be blessed and inspired to take action on what God has put in your heart.Remember, you are loved!Ryan Reger"What if God could use me to teach people to dream again and become financially free?"This is what I wrote in my journal in September of 2009. Every aspect of success and wealth includes your ability to generate multiple streams of income. I just finished a training in San Diego, CA. talking with entrepreneurs on creating multiple streams of income. I am very passionate about this topic because so many people just don't have the right vehicles to generate wealth. This is a key factor to success and many people have a great vehicle, but the challenge is they just don't have the gas. We know the gas to your vehicle are the soft skills. This would be your mindset, people skills, EQ, and your ability to influence. The rest were missing the proper income vehicle, (Multiple Streams Of Income) It’s a volatile future. You’d be wise to have multiple streams of income flowing into your life. In the future, people will need a portfolio of income streams—not one or two—but many streams from completely different and diversified sources. So that if one stream goes, you barely feel the bump. You’re stable. You have time to adjust. You’re safe. Do you have multiple streams of income flowing into your life at this time? Maybe it's time to add another one. Join me for this week’s podcast when I interview industry expert Jim Cockrum. Jim has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur Magazine, Men’s Health magazine, eBay radio, and in countless news and radio programs as an Internet and online business expert. His podcast is consistently ranked in the top of the business/marketing category on iTunes. Rico Ngoma grew up in Canada and at a very young age realized being an expat entrepreneur was in his blood. After a trip to China and seeing the difficulty with finding how to source products in China for drop shipping and how to do business in China, Rico realized that he could assist other entrepreneurs on how to find a good manufacturer in China. Rico Ngoma talks to us about his life since 2014 living and working in Guangzhou, China. With 24 Million people and thousands of factories, most would find it almost impossible to navigate, especially with the language barrier. China is not like most countries where English is spoken in most parts of the country. To survive in China, one must learn even the basics of Mandarin just to survive. Rico found a small expat entrepreneur community in Guangzhou, which has helped him to feel more at home. Source Find Asia is Rico's company. He explains to Mikkel how they are problem solvers for those that want to learn: How to do business in China How to source products in China for drop shipping And how to find a good manufacturer in China. Rico Explains How to do Business in China Rico Ngoma and Mikkel Thorup chat about how to do business in China and the concept that China is a great source for drop shipping, but where do you start? who do you trust? These questions and more, from someone that knows how to source products in China for dropshipping. Rico Ngoma tells us the difference between a Trading Company and a Factory. Rico recounts some pretty funny stories about when they first started Source Find Asia. He claims that you must be a detective to really understand how the buying works in China. How to Find a Good Manufacturer in China Rico Ngoma chats about how to find a good manufacturer in China and how to source products in China for drop shipping and all the pitfalls that can happen if you're not aware of the many different areas that need to be covered when you want to learn how to source products in China for dropshipping. Sam McRoberts, with family in tow, left behind his home country of USA to travel the world and unschool his 7-year-old son. We talk in depth about how to internationalize your life, how to protect your wealth and most importantly, how to protect your family. About Sam McRoberts Sam McRoberts is the successful CEO of VUDU Marketing, where he consults with medium to large size companies and influencers on SEO. They audit websites, figuring out what's right and wrong, what needs to be fixed to increase organic traffic and helping people put together strategies so they know what to do to dominate their space. As Sam McRoberts and his family travel the world, the most important thing he requires is a good internet connection, and from there, he can run his company. VUDU Marketing is his bread & butter, but that's not the only company Sam operates. Sam realized in the beginning; when he was trying to learn SEO; that no one taught it, so that became his mission, to teach other people how to get the job done easily. Sam walks us through what that looks like and how SEO works. https://www.amazon.com/Screw-Zoo-Escape-Your-World/dp/0996154906/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1536594495&sr=8-1&keywords=screw+the+zoo (Screw the Zoo), Sam McRoberts book is another way he has helped to monetize his adventurous travel. Listen as everything is woven together to make life as an expat easier and for more fun! How To Internationalize Your Life We then delve into how to internationalize your life. Besides education, how to internationalize your life is the biggest topic we discuss here on our podcast. More and more people are compelled to learn how this is done, and how easy it can be if you follow some simple rules and talk to people that know what needs to be done before you leave your home country. We've realized that to pay big corporate taxes is just not necessary anymore. If you are traveling the world, why do you have to pay for the roads to be fixed and for schools in a neighbourhood that you no longer live in? How To Protect Your Wealth Once you've learned how to internationalize your life, it's time to learn how to protect your wealth. You're making big bucks so you need to protect your wealth. We chat quite a bit about this topic, because if you live in the USA or Canada, the taxes are outrageous and what's left can be a lot less than if you know how to internationalize your life and then protect your family. How To Protect Your Family Sam McRoberts and Mikkel Thorup both love their family. Family first! Do you know how to protect your family? Are you interested in learning how to protect your family, and how to internationalize your life, then this episode is a must listen to. What is Unschooling Have you been wondering what is unschooling? Sam McRoberts gives his definition of homeschooling compared to unschooling and it's right on the money. Mikkel and Sam spend at least 1/3 of the episode delving into education, what's wrong with our current system and answering the question, what is unschooling? In https://expatmoneyshow.com/jim-cockrum-creating-engaging-content/ (Ep 029: Jim Cockrum) talks about what is unschooling and how happy his children are because they chose this type of education. What Else Will You Learn From This Episode What is the Schengen Area and why is it important to understand Why travelling the world is so important for our survival Flag Theory and what is Sam attempting to implement in his life Why Flag Theory is not reserved for the ultra-wealthy or even the wealthy 2nd Passport Another of Mikkel's favourite topics, obtaining a 2nd Passport. In this Interview with Jim Rogers, I get updated opinions on everything from North Korea and China to the Mandarin language and the current state of education around the world. Jim Rogers tells me what he is teaching his own children and where he as an investor is putting his own money today. Jim Rogers is a world-renowned investor, famously known for his co-founding of the Quantum Fund. He has frequently appeared on CNBC, Fox Business and Bloomberg. He is a multiple best selling author and has multiple Guinness world records for his around the world trips visiting nearly every country on the planet. (listen in to hear which countries he has yet to visit!) Jim Rogers Talks about his Current thoughts on EducationOn this episode of The Expat Money Show, Jim Rogers and Mikkel Thorup talk in depth about education, specifically about their children and what kind of education they believe will propel them forward in this new and most difficult time. Jim writes in one of his earlier books why moving to China or another Asian country is such a vital move for parents. If you really want to give your children an unfair advantage, the education system in Singapore or China is rigorous and difficult, unlike schools in the USA. As with many of the guests, education is such an important topic. To hear from another multimillionaire entrepreneur on education listen to this fantastic interview with https://expatmoneyshow.com/jim-cockrum-creating-engaging-content/ (Jim Cockrum.) Jim Rogers spent most of his adult life not wanting children. He believed children were a horrible waste of time, energy, money and everything else, feeling sorry for people who had children, so he was not ever going to do it. Jim now believes everyone should have children and that he was just wrong for not having them earlier in his life. In 2002, arriving back home in NYC after completing his third Guinness World Record being on the road for 3 years, covering more than 245,000 kilometres in a one-of-a-kind Mercedes-Benz taking them to six continents and 116 countries, they decided to have children. Jim Rogers claims this was the best decision of his life. His two girls are now the center of his universe, in fact, his 2009: A Gift to My Children book was written for his daughters. Listen in to hear about why he wrote this most special gift to his children. This may spark some creativity in yourself for your children to follow! Jim Rogers Opinion on MandarinMikkel and Jim discuss in lengths about what they believe the most important languages their children should speak. Due to the fact that Jim and his family live in Singapore, his two daughters are fluent in Mandarin and have actually won awards for the best Mandarin Speakers in the Nation. Jim believes that this is the second most important language to learn, behind English. In https://expatmoneyshow.com/mikkel-thorup/ (Ep: 025 Mikkel) shares his own opinions about China and Mandarin and what he is doing in his own life to prepare. What would the topic be? Jim promised Mikkel that the next time he was in Singapore to bring his copies of his book (He has all of them!) and he would be happy to sign them! I'm pretty confident that Mikkel will hold him to his word!! Jim's wife Paige has written her own book called 'Don't Call Me Mrs. Rogers' which will be due out in September. Today's guest on https://expatmoneyshow.com/ (The Expat Money Show) is Jim Cockrum. Jim was ranked among the most trusted Internet Marketers in the world, his best selling book https://amzn.to/2JjUDad (“The Silent Sales Machine”) has been read by an estimated 800,000 people around the globe. Jim is a constant top 10 seller on Amazon, and along with his two closest partners (Nathan Bailey & Brett Bartlett), run a combined $25 million annual sales empire. You can join https://www.facebook.com/groups/mysilentteam/ (Jim's Facebook group) of 48,000 members, where they are always creating engaging content not just about Amazon selling but about internet marketing as a whole. When I heard Jim was going to be on our show I was ecstatic! Jim is such a well-known influencer in the world of Internet Marketing and has such a reputation for creating engaging content I knew our audience would go crazy to hear him. What I found fascinating was that you would think a guy making heaps of money, having over 150 staff, and being in the business for almost 2 decades would have a pretty high opinion of himself, but nothing could be farther from the truth. I've got to say that Jim Cockrum has to be one of the nicest, most down to earth guy I've ever met. How creating engaging content on Facebook is driving his Amazon business Jim and I dig deep into what it takes to dominate the market with Amazon. We discuss his tactics with Facebook and how their teams' creativity is unparalleled and how they are selling millions of dollars worth of Toys! We talk about how creating engaging content with something as simple as your mobile phone is beating out the monster brands like Mateel in the toys department. And how they have been able to get tens of millions of organic views of their products on Facebook. In a Nutshell Learn what three concepts are needed to totally rock as a human being Take away solutions for life Top books as suggested reading What Jim looks for when hiring a new employee How important is getting your MBA? (his answer for this is hilarious) What does a CEO of over 150 employees and $25 Million a year do? How DO you create an 8 figure product line on Amazon? Hot Topics for 2018 As a lot of our interviews go on https://expatmoneyshow.com/ (The Expat Money Show), we start our conversation talking about family, schooling, and education. For those of you that know me well I am opposed to traditional education. I believe there is a better way to learn. Interestingly enough many of my guests have the same beliefs and even some, like Jim Cockrum, have opted to homeschool his children (all 5 of them). Why Traditional Education is Failing Jim and I discuss why it is so vitally important for the future of our children to not rely on others to teach them. That we just can't sit back and expect the current social schooling system to teach our children the fundamentals for being a successful human being. That we need to show our children, day in and day out how to be the best. How to accomplish their goals, and not to have the expectation that they will be able to read a book and then understand it. That we need to be interactive with our children. Jim shares how is 8-year-old son would never ‘expect' his mom and dad to just pay for something. He reaches inside and figures out a way that he can create a business that will ultimately fund his desires! Wow! If that isn't motivation for becoming an entrepreneur I don't know what is. Life Learning Just Never Stops What we learn from Jim is how to be a remarkable parent and how to be the best that you can be so that others will follow your lead. We spend a great deal of time discussing child-rearing tactics and how to lead a fulfilling life. Over and over again my guests show us that it's not just about making money, it's about the balance in Support this podcast

Oh no – this happened. How do I move forward? My wife, Joanne, and I have used a concise process for all the years of our marriage. When confronted with a decision, we allow a 2-week maximum for arriving at a decision. Whether it is where to move, what kind of car to purchase, making a career or business decision, or how to handle a difficult relationship with a relative, we approach the process as follows: 1. State the problem. 2. Get the advice and opinions of others. 3. List the alternatives. 4. Choose the best alternative. 5. Act. And we avoid the crippling power of indecision. Yes, this process must be bathed in prayer. But a daily walk of integrity and character should provide confidence in moving ahead quickly with most any decision. You, too, can deal effectively with the challenge of making solid decisions. Don't be indecisive and unstable in all your ways. Rather, walk in the strength, confidence, and boldness that come from decisive action. I'm a Pastor and just got fired You might think there are still some jobs that are immune from firing, but I can't think of any. Last week I talked to a “tenured” professor who just got fired and pastors are being fired in droves. Even the President is constantly under threat of hearing his own phrase, “You're Fired.” Your security is never in the job, but in knowing how your skills transfer to multiple organizations. Other questions we discuss: How does one go through a career hunting process when they are very happy in their current career but are forced to make a change? How can I reinvent myself for a new career? Every job I see I don't meet the qualifications since I am just a customer service rep. I recently got fired. Should I find another job as a pastor, get my PhD or what? “When it is dark enough, you can see the stars.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson Tweet This “Is there a way to insureThat your job's safe and secureAre you going to bendWith every trendAnd successfully go around each detour” Poem by Cliff Feightner Show Notes Episode – 05-26-17 Title: N/A Subtitle: N/A Summary: In this episode, Dan reminds us that there's no job that can provide the utmost certainty and security—no matter what industry or field. We exert so much energy into locking into a state of job security; perhaps what we need to do is invest in learning about our skills and the value we can offer to others. Don't aim to be comfortable You'll never be your best if you just want to be comfortable. Being comfortable can lead to complacency, laziness and mediocrity. If you're successful on 80% of the things you try, you're not stretching enough to find where you are best. You aren't growing if you're always successful. Questions from this week's Podcast: Are you in your Sweet Spot or your Comfort Zone? Should you leave a good paying job for one that serves a better cause? As Christians, we tithe on our personal incomes, but what about our business? I'm working 60-70 hours a week now. How do I start something on the side? How can I position myself as a gardening coach? “Our greatest fear should not be of failure … but of succeeding at things in life that don't really matter.” – Francis Chan Tweet This Show Notes: Episode – 05-05-17 Title: N/A Subtitle: N/A Summary: In this episode, Dan Miller walks us through a number of success stories from our members as he opens this week's theme: why you should not aim to be comfortable. In order to grow, one needs some resistance and change—it's about setting yourself up for continuous learning. You know you're good – but it doesn't seem that anyone cares. Apparently excellence is not enough. How can you inspire others so they rally to your cause and see you as a leader? These seven traits can transform your success. This week's questions: I surpassed my goal for 2016, we shot for $300K but did somewhere in the neighborhood of $550k in total sales. I'm a campus minister at a top 10 university, and it is not going well. I make very little yearly income by picking up 10 cent cans and have large gaps between traditional employment. How should I handle this on a job application and/or resume I want to leave my job but don't want to be selfish in anyway, my conscience tells me to not let people down. What makes a person inspiring and what can those of us who are not naturally inspiring do to grow in this area? “Hold fast to dreams, For if dreams die Life is a broken-winged bird, That cannot fly.”― Langston Hughes — Tweet This Show Notes: Episode – 04-28-17 Title: N/A Subtitle: N/A Summary: In this episode, Dan Miller opens with this week's theme of “My life is not inspiring.” More often than not, people think they aren't impacting others by what they do – they believe the monotonous tasks they do on a daily basis are not inspiring. All We Need is Love People are not looking for more systems and processes. They're looking for hope, encouragement, love, respect and transformation. If you're already providing those you are likely in a position to prosper financially as well. I'll be sharing some of what I've done and how you can step right into the path that fits you best. Questions we address on this week's Podcast: My husband was laid off in the oil downturn and after two years of “getting by”, he is back out in the oil field. He is conflicted though. I have a business idea of a mobile RV washing and cleaning business. Any thoughts on a business like this? What questions do you ask when you get to talk to successful people at this stage in their life? Dan, please help me help your listeners who are salespeople that cold call businesses. Would I be crazy to leave an unfulfilling job making 5 figures after 25 years to work for a humanitarian organization that serves those in need in various countries? I feel like my brain and heart are drowning. I would love to know what you believe are the top three things a person can do to live the best life possible for them? Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor.
