This was a true crossover week on AEW, as torrents of New Japan men poured all over us — some of us ended up loving it while others of us less so, and that's how you know we're independent minded women who are NOT in a full-time echo chamber. The Young Bucks took the tag team titles off Jurassic Express in a match that slapped, followed by Christian Cage finally going full heel after experiencing a moment of pure disappointment in Jungle Boy; Jay White's not going to fight Hangman in the PPV, but he's not going to fight you either, Adam Cole; and it turns out the bottom of Sammy Guevara's face is disturbingly recognizable. Other important topics are Orange Cassidy's triumphant return, Miro's triumphant return, and AEW's muddled view of labor in the Wardlow storyline. We had a lot of fights in this one about who is the biggest weirdo re: horse mating, Will Ospreay, and Chris Jericho, so yeah,  there's some stuff for you to weigh in on. All this and more!

There's nothing like snapping in to a crisp, cool episode of Wrestling Brain on a Wednesday Night. Josh, Zubes, and the Brainiacs are all here for another week to spread some joy about the latest episode of AEW Dynamite. This week several wrestlers on the show weren't afraid to let us know they've shed a few tears along with the blood and sweat, and it's got our hosts feeling positive about the product. The show starts with a promo between Eddie Kingston and Chris Jericho, and after continuing to feed us the Eddie content we love, a new group was formed with more generous helpings of Zubes Bait in the recipe. Hangman Page makes a title defence against Dante Martin. The new team of Mox, Danielson, and William Regal debut as a unit, which culminates in Regal taking some mic time to open up about himself, his heart, and instantly rationalize the grouping in a master stroke of Regal goodness. There was more major action as Matt Hardy got kicked out of his own stable. Fear not, Sting, Darby Allin, and JEFF HARDY make the save. We take some time to reflect on what this could mean for the Hardyz and the division, while reveling in the undeniable overness of Jeff Hardy. Elsewhere in business being taken care of, PAC takes Wheeler Yuta for the woodshed for a bit, which is always fun to watch. FTR sent Tully Blanchard packing, while Swerve, Keith Lee, and Wardlow all get a little mic time, In the other title pictures: The champs Jurassic Express defend against The Acclaimed, Thunder Rosa earns a cage match against the champ with a win over Leyla Hirsch, and Sammy Guevara explodes himself through a table before dropping the TNT title to Scorpio Sky. That set up Hirsch to hit a match-winning moonsaultLeyla Hirsch def. Krist Statlander Hook vs. QT Marshall: Hook def. QT Marshall House of Black vs. Death Triangle: A really good trios match that showcased everyone including Eric Redbeard. House of Black def. Death TriangleChris Jericho vs. Eddie Kingston: Kingston landed a half-and-half suplex seconds after the bell rang, dropping Jericho on the top of his head. Jericho went for the knockout with his back elbow but instead ate two backfists from Kingston before Kingston locked in a stretch plum to force the tap, finally getting a big victory. After the match, Jericho refused to shake Kingston's hand after vowing he would do so if Kingston defeated him. Eddie Kingston def. Chris JerichoAEW Tag Team Championship -- Jurassic Express (c) vs. reDragon vs. The Young Bucks: As expected, the champions were at a disadvantage early, with reDragon and the Bucks working together to try and take out the big threat of Luchasaurus.Jurassic Express def. reDragon and The Young Bucks to retain the titles Keith Lee vs. Orange Cassidy vs. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Ricky Starks vs. Wardlow vs. Christian Cage (Face of the Revolution Ladder Match): Cassidy showing moments of innovation, including skinning the cat while suspended from a ladder held in the air by Wardlow and Lee nearly grabbing the suspended brass ring to win the match. Wardlow managed to knock the other two off the stage and through a table below. Shortly after, Starks nearly had the match won when Danhausen jumped in the ring to interfere, knocking him from the ladder. Wardlow then hit Starks with a powerbomb off of one ladder onto another before grabbing the ring to win the match. Wardlow won the Face of the Revolution ladder match  SWERVE STRICKLAND is in AEW TBS Championship -- Jade Cargill (c) vs. Tay Conti: argill bounced back to hit Jaded and run her perfect record to 28-0. Conti looked strong throughout, getting in plenty of offense and allowing Cargill to show a bit more than her normal TV matches. Jade Cargill def. Tay Conti to retain the title CM Punk vs. MJF (Dog Collar Match): The story of the match started with the introductions, with Punk's music hitting only to be cut off by MJF's. Countering MJF's trolling, Punk entered to AFI's "Miseria Cantare" and wearing basketball shorts and a windbreaker, throwing back to his pre-WWE days on the independent scene. MJF called for Wardlow, who came to the ring, and said he couldn't find MJF's Dynamite Diamond Ring. The distraction allowed Punk to hit the Go To Sleep. Wardlow then "found" the ring and left it on the apron for Punk. Punk knocked out MJF with a punch while wearing the ring, though not before MJF spit in his face. CM Punk def. MJF AEW Women's Championship -- Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. (c) vs. Thunder Rosa: Hayter then tried to help Baker score a cheap victory, throwing the title belt in the ring, where Baker hit a stomp for a two-count. Rosa had a win stolen for a second time when she locked up a straight jacket on Baker, forcing the tap only for the referee to miss it because he was distracted by Rebel again. Rosa left the ring to take out Rebel and Hayter only to be hit by a stomp as she slid back into the ring, scoring the pinfall.  Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. def. Thunder Rosa to retain the titleJon Moxley vs. Bryan Danielson: Danielson hit a running knee for a near fall after escaping from a Moxley bulldog choke. Danielson locked up Moxley in a triangle choke and landed punches and elbows as Moxley was trapped in the hold. Moxley then was able to get the shock pin, rolling into the choke to pin Danielson's shoulders to the mat. After the bout, Danielson hit Moxley with a kick and the two brawled until William Regal made his AEW debut, breaking up the fight and slapping both men before demanding Moxley and Danielson shake hands. Jon Moxley def. Bryan Danielson AHFO vs. Darby Allin, Sammy Guevara & Sting: With the tornado rules, this was a wildly chaotic. Spanish fly off the stage through tables. Sting hit a dive onto Andrade, sending him through three tables -- an incredible moment considering the man is two weeks from turning 63. Shortly after, Allin hit Hardy with a Scorpion Death Drop and a Coffin Drop to score the win. Darby Allin, Sammy Guevara & Sting def. AHFOAEW World Championship -- "Hangman" Adam Page (c) vs. Adam Cole: After Page hit a few more big moves and was setting up for a Buckshot again, Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly ran to ringside for a distraction. This set up Cole to hit Page with Panama Sunrise on the floor. Fish and O'Reilly served up another distraction when the match went back to the ring, allowing Cole to hit Page with a low blow, followed by another Panama Sunrise and the running knee to the back of the head. Still, Page was able to kick out at two. Dark Order eventually ran to ringside to aid Cole in chasing off reDragon. Page then hit the Buckshot Lariat on Cole but Cole got a hand on the ropes to break the count. A second Buckshot Lariat was enough to finish off Cole after Page hit a few superkicks of his own. "Hangman" Adam Page def. They both agree that Britt Baker vs Thunder Rosa was a bit underwhelming.  Shawn apologizes and gives praise to Jurassic Express. Shawn and David both agreed that Hangman left this ppv better than he came into, and they hope AEW will do him justice.

I was actually too shy to join an Acapella group. The Sword & Shield of Professional Wrestling, Josh C and The Zubes are back for another week of AEW Dynamite, this time with special guest "Murder" Bryan Quinby from Street Fight Radio. This week's show is in Long Island, New York, home of MJF. This hometown show for the company's most prominent heel starts off with CM Punk flipping the alignment for the night, leading to MJF showing off on his high school football field and clinching a spot in the Dynamite Diamond match next week.
