On today's episode, we are joined by our special guest, Kosta Kappas, who is an intern with Collegians for Christ. He will dive into James 1:14-17, revealing the nature of temptation and the reality of sin. Kosta parallels the tale of Lot's wife with modern-day struggles, illustrating how easy it is to be externally righteous while internally dancing with sin. He breaks down the process of sin into three stages: the attraction to sin, the implications of sin, and ultimately, the victory over sin through Jesus Christ. He addresses the consequences sin brings and the power of redemption available to us all, urging us to turn to God for deliverance and strength.
Hey, y'all this is Kosta and today I'm here with my guest: Heather Dye, Entrepreneur, Professional Speaker and Owner of Wigs for Every Woman. In this episode: You're a business owner, coach, mentor, community organizer and Mom. You're the kind of person who turns a setback into an opportunity, and I think that's the best place to start this episode. After a life-changing diagnosis of Alopecia, you started Wigs for Every Woman. Not to hide, but to show up in a whole new way. How did you feel the first time you put on a wig? Why is our hair such an emotional and vulnerable part of our appearance? Do you think there's still a stigma arounds wigs, or wearing fake hair? Is it kind of like plastic surgery or injections?Find out more about Wigs for Every Woman:https://heatherdye.com/https://www.instagram.com/wigsforeverywoman/https://www.facebook.com/wigsforeverywomanBetter Together with Kosta Yepifantsev is a product of Morgan Franklin Media and recorded in Cookeville, TN.This episode of Better Together with Kosta Yepifantsev is made possible by our partner Sabrina Brazle, The Realty Firm.Find out more about Sabrina Brazle:https://www.sabrinabrazle.com/

Medverkande:Torsten Jansson - 2005 rullade en Ferrari in i Kosta. ‘The Daily Show' has undergone a lot of turmoil in the two and half years since Trevor Noah shocked even his closest colleagues by giving up the host chair. And even Michael Kosta can't quite believe that he has emerged as one of four rotating hosts—along with Jon Stewart on Monday nights. In his return to the podcast, Kosta talks about his experience taking the reins of the long-running political late-night show every few weeks and how he's striving to make it more than just a mouthpiece for the #Resistance. Kosta also discusses learning Jon Stewart, the backlash to his recent appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast, and his new memoir ‘Lucky Loser,' which tells the story of how he went from a semi-successful professional tennis player to achieving his wildest comedy dreams. The boys finally get comedian, former ATP player, and professional roast master Michael Kosta on the pod—and it's everything you'd hope for. Kosta spills on his days grinding the Challenger circuit, the exact moment he knew pro tennis wasn't for him, and how he pivoted to roasting players instead of playing them.He dishes on the real differences between tennis and stand-up, why tennis players are the worst at taking jokes, and the time he absolutely bombed on stage. Plus, Kosta gives the inside scoop on his new book, Lucky Loser, where he breaks down the absurdity of life on tour, from wild travel mishaps to the worst hotel rooms he's ever stayed in. From a host of The Daily Show and stand-up comic, Michael Kosta, comes a wildly funny and insightful memoir about his unlikely journey from professional tennis player (#864 in the world) to professional comedian (there's no ranking system in comedy but he's probably . . . top 50?). Before Michael Kosta was performing stand-up comedy specials and hosting The Daily Show, he was a professional tennis "star," reaching the lofty heights of the #864 ranked men's singles player in the world. Stop laughing. That's better than your world ranking. As a tennis pro, Kosta traveled across the globe, competing in such exotic locales as the Netherlands, Tokyo, and even rural Illinois before deciding to put down his racket and pursue a more stable and predictable career: comedy. In a completely unexpected and wild journey through the backwaters of professional tennis, Kosta shows the unlikely ways life on the court prepared him for life in front of a microphone. Like comedy, tennis is brutally competitive, and most people lose at it. Unlike comedy, no one in tennis puts a gun on the table as they count out your earnings in twenty-dollar bills at the end of the night. And then there are the things that have more to do with what happens to you-and what you end up learning-as part of growing up. Topics include: how to properly discard an unwanted European hard-boiled egg, giving CPR to your dead grandpa, cringe-worthy "sex" in the Red Light District, crying so hard in a car that strangers call the cops, and also happy things like what it feels like when your dreams come true. From misadventures in tennis to the humbling setbacks of comedy, Lucky Loser is a heart-filled story of making your own luck, the universal experience of failure, and the many ways in which we all inevitably lose on the way to success.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-unplugged-totally-uncut--994165/support.

Mike (Cation) here. I've known Michael Kosta since I started working in tennis, right out of college, when Craig Tiley asked me to be the public address announcer for the University of Illinois Men's Tennis team, in 2001. He and Amer Delic came in to work on a pre-match CD of music, and we talked, and I immediately started pushing for him to join our radio morning show from time to time, because he was just hilarious. 25 years later, and Kosta has achieved some incredible things, with multiple comedy specials, and now as a correspondent and host on the Daily Show. And now, as he promotes his new book Lucky Loser, we have our first interview together in 22 years. Enjoy. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
On today's episode we have a special guest, Kosta Kappas, who is going to talk about trusting in the Lord's direction rather than the destination. We will dive into the story of Abraham, emphasizing the power of faith and obedience when the future is uncertain. Through biblical insight and personal testimony, Kosta encourages us to have faith in the steps God calls us to take, much like Abraham did, trusting in the journey rather than fixating on a desired outcome. Discover how surrendering control and embracing faith can lead to divine opportunities and blessings beyond our expectations.

He created and produced, ‘The Cork Dorks'. The show was hosted with Adam and his good friend Jeremy West. It was the first of its kind. It began focusing on central coast wineries but as the show grew, so did their ability to travel and meet other winemakers they found everywhere from Napa to Bordeaux that adopted that same Central Coast quality of people willing to share their wines, and their stories. As the area's producer's grew, soon Adam's interview's covered everything from spirits, craft beer, cider, cuisine, hospitality, and more. Fast forward to today, the spirit and enthusiasm cultivated with the award winning show, is reborn as The Pour with Adam Montiel, this time independently, and unfettered by corporate authority leaving it even more free to share the journey of making wine more approachable and fun for everyone.
