In the 1970s and 1980s the pro wrestling industry was broken up into territories around the country. And each territory had its top star. In Florida, it was Dusty Rhodes; in Tennessee, it was Jerry Lawler; and in Texas, it was the Von Erichs. Then up in the Pacific Northwest there was Portland Wrestling. Their top star was a wrestler named Billy Jack Haynes. “He was the closest thing the Northwest had to a Von Erich,” said KPTV reporter Joe Vithayathil, who also has close ties to some alumni of the Portland Wrestling scene, including the late “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. “He was from here. He was a local hero.” Arguably, the peak of Haynes' career came in 1987 when he left the dying territorial system and wrestled for the global World Wrestling Federation (WWF). At WrestleMania III, Haynes wrestled Hercules Hernandez.

In the early months of 2023, six women turned up dead in and around Portland, Oregon, sparking rumors of a serial killer. Though police originally claimed they did not believe that the cases were connected, similarities emerged between four of the women, and one man linked them all. To the dismay of the public, not only did this suspect have multiple other crimes under his belt, but he had been granted early release from prison for fighting forest fires on the west coast. These are the stories of Kristin Smith, Charity Perry, Bridget Webster, Joanna Speaks, Ashley Real, and an unidentified Native woman. It's also the story of Jesse Lee Calhoun. Sources: 1. Quite possibly the top “bad guy” or “heel” in wrestling today is Maxwell Jacob Friedman a.k.a. MJF. MJF has propelled himself to the top of Jacksonville-based All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He's done that through something more than wrestling ability. Something a lot of performers don't possess. A keen understanding of how to get an audience to hate him. It's his job, and few have ever done it as well as he does. Plus, we will hear from Joe Vithayathil. He's an anchor with KPTV in Portland, OR. He became close friends with Piper in the final years of his life while Piper resided in Portland and started a small independent wrestling show on that TV station

Pc brings you a informative rap song intro today. It's from K Koke. Listen clearly, learn, so you know. Then, Pc discusses the endless number of fake articles from fake organizations like KPTV in Portland Oregon. The article shows how they are trying to frustrate you into taking the vaccine. First they tell you go right, then left, then up, then down. It's psychological warfare (pysop). The extremes that this tyrannical government (congress, administration, scotus, governors, & others) is pushing WE THE PEOPLE to the point that we will end up in mass outrage against the criminals who have done this to US. And I can't wait until WE THE PEOPLE take down the criminals as I will personally take a trip to the spa aka gitmo, to see them off. The tv channels: abc, nbc, cbs, and others were started by ex military generals. They developed tv to reach you in your home and tell you lies (propoganda) to make you believe a certain way. Notice how all "news" start with a crime. That is to make you fearful of whoever is the alleged crime.  The main way to control people is with fear. And when you combine the fear mongering with a fake ccp*virus that you can't see, the criminals scream about you staying home and not working while they get paid for their work and do what they want. DO YOU SEE!!!Support the show (https://neo420.com/shop-cbd/donation/)

On the ninth anniversary of his disappearance she held a tearful news conference where she shared new details. Before the news conference she spoke exclusively to True Crime Deadline host Matt Johnson who spent years covering the case. "I love you Kyron, I miss you, I will never give up, I will never stop," said Desiree to True Crime Deadline podcast.Young says after nine years she still believes Kyron is in the Portland metro area."I believe that he is still in Portland, I believe that Terri is a horrible person, and most likely did something horrible that day. But, I have to keep looking for him until I find out otherwise," Young said.Kyron's step-mother Terri Horman has never been charged or named a suspect in the case. She has appeared on many national shows.Terri says on June 4, 2010 she watched Kyron walk down the hall to his first class, however he never made it to class and he was marked as absent for the day. After Terri says she left the school, she told investigators that she went to Fred Meyer Store, Drove her baby around to to help the infant fall asleep, went to the gym ad then posted pictures of Kyron on Facebook. When Terri and Kaine Horman when to pick Kyron up from the bus stop, he was not there. Terri called the school and the school secretary called police.Kyron's case has had many unbelievable twists and turns over the past nine years. Including allegations of Terri Horman hiring a landscaper to allegedly kill Kaine. Police were never able to substantiate those claims and no charges were ever brought against Terri.Terri also reportedly failed two lie-detector tests and Kaine obtained a restraining order against her."This case has been featured on Oprah, Dr. Phil, newscasts around the country and everyone is galvanized by this case and this little boy," said former KPTV reporter Jaime Wilson.Kyron Horman was 7 years old when he went missing in 2010. Kyron Richard Horman is described as a Caucasian male, light brown hair and blue eyes. Kyron wore glasses and was on the smaller side when he went missing. Ep. 127: Elliott Lewis is an assistant professor of journalism at SUNY Purchase College in Westchester County, New York, where he teaches media law and broadcast news. He joined the faculty in 2015 after a 20-year career as a television reporter, anchor, producer and assignment editor. Elliott is a 2013 graduate of The University of Akron School of Law in Ohio, where he also served as a part-time faculty member in the university’s School of Communication. He is licensed to practice law in the state of New York. Before becoming a law student, Elliott was a freelance television news reporter in Washington, DC. Over the years, his clients included WJLA-TV, BET News, CNN, Associated Press Television, and the Washington bureaus of Tribune Broadcasting and Hearst Television. Prior to moving to the nation's capital, Elliott’s career took him to a number of cities around the country. He has worked as a reporter for WKMG-TV in Orlando, WKRC-TV in Cincinnati, KPTV in Portland, KGTV in San Diego, and KTVN in Reno. Elliott attended Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, where he studied Spanish and communications. When not in class, he could be found running the audio board at the campus radio station, working in the university’s public relations office, and delivering farm news for the College of Agriculture’s radio news service. He completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Maryland-University College.  Early in his career, Elliott joined the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and later served on the NABJ Board of Directors from 2003-2007. In addition, he has been an ex-officio board member of the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) and a visiting faculty member at the Poynter Institute, a leading journalism think-tank located in St. Petersburg, Florida. With Fade, television journalist Elliott Lewis weaves his memoirs as a black-and-white biracial American with the voices of dozens of multiracial people who are challenging how we think and speak about race today. His interviews illuminate a variety of coping strategies and reveal stark generational differences in the ways mixed race people have come to terms with their identity. A comprehensive look at the multiracial state of the union, Fade tackles hot-button issues such as the often complicated lives of multiracial people in communities of color, interracial dating, transracial adoption, "black versus biracial" identities, and the birth of a national multiracial movement. Elliott also shares his own moving - and often humorous -firsthand experiences with race, along with intimate stories from those at the forefront of nationwide efforts to formally recognize the multiracial population. How do you explain complex ideas? What do you say when reporters ask you to guess about the future? ODOT spokesperson and public affairs manager Dave Thompson will share tips on how to explain a complex topic to reporters and concerned citizens. Thompson worked as a broadcast news reporter, producer and anchor for 20 years, including anchoring the weekend news at KPTV from 1992 to 2000. He’s been in public relations another 14 years, leading pre-IPO angel-invested startup branding efforts and providing company and government agency perspective to reporters and citizens. And of course, apologizing for Portland’s congestion and warning us about driving in snowstorms. But Dave didn’t start out in communications: He was a math major! His message: With practice, you can and should speak in public, if you’re prepared and when you’re the subject matter expert. (If he can do it, you can do it!) Dave will show you how to engage your audience’s imagination to explain the complex, yet stay true to the technical.
