Pretend You're Paralyzed Stuck w a Blind Dog. Doesn't Take Much Skill to Lure Your Dog into a Sit, Down, Heel or Do a Cute Spin While Holding a Juicy Hot Dog Inches Away from its Mouth.  Treat-abusing Dog Trainers Are Livid and Shy Away Zeddicus King's Challenge For a Reason. Be Honest. Can You Get Your Dog to Sit, Lay Down WITHOUT Treats, Yelling, or Your Cool Hand Signals? The Only Thing Moving Should Be Your Lips. Don't Move a Muscle or Raise a Finger.  Could the way everyone training their dogs nowadays be all wrong?  I'm not just slicing cake on this episode; I'm cutting through the noise in dog training with a slice of controversy. Treats have been the go-to in dog training, but what if we removed them from the equation? Imagine a scenario where your dog can't see your gesture or your cool hand signal. This episode peels back the layers of today's typical dog training techniques, exposing the potential crutch that treats can become. I offer up a guide to achieving the kind of obedience that transcends the need for incentives, focusing instead on the power of your voice and the bond it can create. It's a conversation that's about more than just positive dog training; it's about cultivating a deeper connection with our loyal companions.By the end of our time together, you'll be rethinking those pocketfuls of treats. I delve into the risks associated with treat-based training, from health implications to the danger of a one-dimensional relationship built on bribery. This episode is an invitation to earn your dog's respect rather than just its affection, setting the stage for a dynamic that's rewarding for both you and your pup – no treats necessary. And while you're waiting for "Dogs Decoded" to return to the shelves, remember that your support is what keeps this channel and the conversation alive. Thanks for tuning in, and let's raise the bar for what it means to truly train our dogs.To Hire Zeddicus for Phone/Zoom Consultation, In-Home Lessons or His Doggie Boot Camp in Los Angeles, Paw at: https://DogSecrets.com

Intensifying its fight against high inflation, the Federal Reserve raised its key interest rate by a substantial three-quarters of a point for a third straight time and signaled more large rate hikes to come — an aggressive pace that will heighten the risk of an eventual recession. New York's attorney general has sued former President Donald Trump and his company, alleging business fraud involving some of their most prized assets, including properties in Manhattan, Chicago and Washington, D.C. Attorney General Letitia James' lawsuit was filed Wednesday in state court in New York. President Joe Biden has declared that Russia has “shamelessly violated the core tenets” of the United Nations charter with its “brutal, needless war” in Ukraine. Biden on Wednesday delivered a forceful condemnation of Russia's invasion to the international body, saying abuses against civilians in Ukraine “should make your blood run cold.” Robert Sarver says he has started the process of selling the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury, a move that comes only eight days after he was suspended by the NBA over workplace misconduct including racist speech and hostile behavior toward employees. Pope Francis spoke out against the cruelty suffered by the Ukrainian people in Saint Peter's Square. The Kansas City Royals have fired longtime general manager Dayton Moore, who took the club from a perennial 100-game loser to two World Series and the 2015 championship before its return to mediocrity. Lottery officials say two people who wish to remain anonymous have claimed a $1.337 billion Mega Millions jackpot after a single ticket was sold in a Chicago suburb for a late July drawing, opting to take a lump sum payment of $780.5 million. Firefighters have rescued a 13-year-old blind dog that fell into a hole at a California construction site. KABC-TV reports that the dog, named Cesar, lives next to the site in Pasadena with his owner. Cesar apparently wandered onto the site Tuesday night and fell into the hole, which was about 15 feet deep and 3 feet wide. Roger Federer says he is at peace with his choice to retire from professional tennis and plans to close his career with one doubles match at the Laver Cup perhaps with longtime rival Rafael Nadal by his side. The International Space Station is welcoming three new residents following a smooth Russian launch. The Soyuz capsule rocketed into orbit from Kazakhstan on Wednesday and, just three hours later, pulled up at the space station. Ben and John begin their discussion of Blind Dog's debut album, The Last Adventures of Captain Dog.  Originally self-released in 1999, the album would see a number of pressings in subsequent years on the Meteor City and People Like You labels amongst others.   Though the band hailed from Sweden, they played a version of stoner rock not out of place alongside american bands such as Kyuss, COC, Monster Magnet, and Down.  The band's take on US heavy ultiamtely showcased a more song-forward sensibility and musicianship that often outclassed their peers, easily avoiding stereotypes of lazy stoner musicians.   Part 2 of Ben and John's discussion will be available March 8, 2022 at https://greatestthingpodcast.com and on all major platforms.   The Greatest Thing You've Never Heard is a like a book club for your next favorite record.  Each episode is an in-depth examination of a single album that's worthy of greater recognition.  Our co-hosts, Ben and John, spend a full episode discussing an album and then often use a follow-up episode to interview the band that recorded it. How can we empower our blind pets to be independent and lead rich, joyful lives? Have you ever really thought about what it means to have vision or, moreover, NOT to have vision? To be blind is to be differently-abled, adjusting to a new normal - and it's your job to help your dog "see" that! When your dog loses vision it can be devastating. Cathy knows because she has lived with TWO blind dogs. Dogs are incredible at adapting (better than we are!), and you can aid them in the transition process by ensuring their safety, promoting their confidence, and continuing activities that bring them joy! Learn about eye anatomy, unique products that keep your pet safe and help navigate the world without sight, communicating through verbal and touch cues, and the specialty of veterinary ophthalmology. If you pre-register for the course this week at www.JeffHeggie.com you will receive a huge discount! My message today was something I learned when I was at my parents house in Canada. My parents raise lab dogs and have some beautiful dogs. They have one dog named Ronnie that is blind. Assuming that a blind dog on a farm just sits next to his dog house all day long wondering what are the strange sounds around him are was wrong. In my message I explain how Ronnie goes with the other dogs every day as my dad takes them for runs for exercise. There are so many lessons that can be learned from this dog, but the one that I focus on today is the fact that Ronnie has every reason to give up on life and just sit next to his doghouse and do nothing. But he chooses, notice I use the work chooses and not forced. He chooses to do what brings him joy and run every day with the other dogs.

Silvie Bordeaux, Muffins Halo Interview with inventor Silvie Bordeaux. A Proven Transitional Solution. Muffin’s Halo Guide For Blind Dogs ® is a custom designed product to guide blind/visually impaired dogs and safeguard them from bumping into walls and objects. This NEW patented device is a great aid to help them become familiar with existing or new surroundings quickly. Blindness can be caused by several factors such as: glaucoma, corneal problems, cancer, trauma, retinal diseases, diabetes, cataracts and/or genetics. The most common reasons include cataracts, glaucoma and diabetes. While any breed can be affected, the following pure breeds are more prevalent than mixed breeds to genetically be inclined to develop cataracts: Cocker Spaniel, Poodle, Siberian husky, Schnauzer, Old English sheepdog, Samoyed, Golden Retriever, Maltese, Boston terrier and Yorkshire terrier. For glaucoma; Shih Tzu, Siberian husky and Bouvier des Flandres. Type II Diabetes is a rapidly growing problem among pets in the U.S, often due to pet obesity. It affects nearly a million and a half dogs with 75% of them developing cataracts and blindness in both eyes, within one year of diagnosis. According to the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention (APOP), there is a 50-50 chance your pet is among the 33 million dogs that are overweight or obese. As pet obesity rates increase, so will the incidence of diabetes. Muffin’s Halo Guide For Blind Dogs ® was invented out of the love and devotion for MUFFIN BORDEAUX, a 12 year old Toy Poodle, who lost his sight due to cataracts. Muffin began bumping into walls, falling down the stairs and becoming depressed and immobile, as he attempted to transition. His mother/owner Silvie Bordeaux was heartbroken and determined to find a solution for her beloved dog. After doing extensive research, Silvie realized there is the great need for products to assist blind dogs, creating Muffin’s Halo ® – Guide for Blind Dogs for her beloved dog, Muffin. Muffin’s Halo Guide for Blind Dogs ® is a lightweight, comfortable and stylish solution with an easy fit with adjustable Velcro strips. Its soft angel wings sit on the dog’s neck to protect their head and shoulder area, while the decorative halo is designed to safeguard them from bumping into walls and other objects. This device does not hinder a dog’s normal daily activity and makes them look like a precious angel. “This product is a revolutionary invention that will change and save the lives of many dogs that have lost their vision! It’s a brilliant solution that provides safety and comfort for blind/visually impaired dogs to enjoy their lives and live as normal as possible, without their sight. Muffin’s Halo is heaven sent for dog owners dealing with this widespread issue,” said Laura Ballegeer, owner of blind dogs. For more information, please visit www.muffinshalo.com or contact: Silvie Bordeaux at Muffinshalo@gmail.com or call 818.943.9673

Brown, aka Blind Dog, agrees to teach the missing song to Macchio, suddenly aka Lightning Boy, in exchange for a trip to a certain Mississippi crossroads. FAMOUS FOR: Steve Vai's guitar badassery, whether he's providing the classically-trained sounds of Lightning Boy or shredding in his own role as a Satanically-empowered guitar deulist in the film's big final confrontation. Macchio, for his part, really does look like he could be playing guitar. PREPARE YOURSELF FOR: The long, fairly dull journey that preceeds said final confrontation. There's even a fairly pathetic romantic interlude with a young runaway who helps wealthy white boy Macchio learn the true meaning of the blues (because as we all know, it's not the technique, but the depression).Original post located at searchforschlock.com.
