It looks like Griffin Jax avoided disaster last night when he was drilled in the back by a line drive off the bat of Leody Taveras. He was eventually removed from the game because of the incident, but walked off under his won power.

In the second hour of Inside Access, the guys discuss Leody Taveras' great start to the season. They also talk about the Orioles struggles early in games and are joined by Robert Flores.
The Orioles only have on strong defensive outfielder and that's Leody Taveras. Unfortunately he isn't an name that commands being penciled into the lineup every day. Does this mean the O's need to tap into their farm system for some help?
The guys discuss Leody Taveras strong start to the season and if he could be the main guy in center field moving forward.
In the first hour of Inside Access, the guys discuss the Orioles big come from behind win over the Diamondbacks. They also talk about Dean Kremer's first start back at the MLB level and if Leody Taveras could be the main guy in center field moving forward.
Jeremy Conn, Rob Long, and Joe LaCroix analyze Cade Povich's dominant performance and improved tempo during his birthday start for the Orioles. They also discuss the impact of the ABS challenge system and field calls regarding Leody Taveras and the team's utility infielders.
The first week of the offseason is complete, and the O's have made a number of moves. A few leaves have fallen from the 40-man roster tree, and a few fresh ones are sprouting. There is a new hitting coach in Dustin Lind, there is an old bullpen piece in Andrew Kittredge, and there's a new centerfielder in Leody Taveras! Tune in as we recap a busy first week! The Orioles are reportedly adding Leody Taveras to their outfield for the upcoming season on a $2 million deal. Bob and Nolan don't view this as a needle-moving signing. What will the outfield end up looking like in 2026? Could Colton Cower be moved to center field?

Steve Adams joins Darragh McDonald to discuss the news that Justin Ishbia will eventually take over majority ownership of the White Sox, Roman Anthony getting called up by the Red Sox, Corbin Burnes needing Tommy John surgery, the overall pitching woes of the Diamondbacks, and the Mariners designating Leody Taveras for assignment after recently taking a shot on him.Listener question topics include whether the Mariners should try to add a lefty to their rotation, how Atlanta will treat the deadline considering their low playoff odds, and what the Mets will do with their glut of young infielders.
We begin the 7 o'clock hour with BRADY KANNON (CBS Sports, Golf.com) who joins us ahead of this week's US Open at Oakmont. The course is always set up to be a tough test, but the USGA is stepping it up this week. Scottie, Rory and Bryson are the favorites yet again, but Brady gives us his insight on the favorites, the field, some dark horses and who he's fading. :30- The Mariners lose a wild one in Arizona and Dom Canzone gives them a chance with a 9th inning home run. Canzone was called up yesterday when Leody Taveras was DFA'd, so what happened with the Leody experiment and what's next? :45- It's Voting Time! Cast your 5 votes to get Cal into the Allstar Game!
That Mariner game wore us out and cost us precious sleep! The Mariners staged a 9th inning comeback to tie the game and send it to extra innings, making us think that this could be a turning point in the season that we will look back at remember fondly. Instead, the Diamondbacks walked it off in the 11th inning on a Josh Naylor grand slam. Dom Canzone was the 9th inning hero on his first game back with the team. This team isn't doing the little things and it's costing them greatly. :30- Mariners Morning After Last night was a roller coaster after the offense struggled to get runs until the 9th inning. Emerson Hancock went 5 innings and gave up just 2 runs and Dom Canzone came through with a game-tying homerun in the 9th inning, but that's all the Mariners could manage and Josh Naylor walked it off for the D-Backs in the 11th. :45- We began our Seahawks One Series yesterday with Gregg Bell giving us his thoughts on Sam Darnold and what the Seahawks might be hoping for from the newcomer. RICK NEUHEISEL (CBS Sports) joins us following the landmark NCAA decision to have schools play players themselves. How will this affect NIL, Collectives and more moving forward and how do we make sense of it all? :30- The Ol Judge is here! - Dom Canzone is going to stick this time. Has Canzone fallen out of favor with the M's? - Luke Raley slides into right field when he comes in? - Roman Anthony hit a 497 ft HR, is it questionable? :45- We wrap up the show with one last thing! They talk about how Julio’s recent resurgence, and Cal’s steady consistency, are lifting the Mariners’ offense. And they talk about what an injury-proof Mariners team would look like this season in What If Wednesday.
You know how we know we're old…. It's pretty safe to say the Pacers/Knicks rivalry is renewed after last night's Game 1 in the Eastern Conference Finals. :30- Mariners Morning After The Mariners came away with a 6-5 win in Chicago yesterday as the offense stepped up when needed. It was a back and forth game and Leody Taveras came through in the 8th to put the M's up for good and have his official Mariners moment. :45- As we approach Memorial Day, we are asking our listeners to send in their military mentions to our talkbacks so we can continue to celebrate Military Appreciation Month.
Headlines and the uncomfortable truth about the addition of Leody Taveras… This may be THE addition ahead of the trade deadline, be ready for it. :30- Is the WNBA putting too much of a spotlight on the dunk? :45- Caleb Williams is making headlines with a new book coming out that claims him and his father tried to circumvent the NFL draft to avoid him going to the Bears.
BRADY KANNON (Sports Grid/Golf.com) joins the show ahead of the PGA Championship to give us his thoughts on this week's field. Before we start talking golf, Chuck and Brady worked with Pete Rose, so we get their thoughts on the Pete Rose announcement from yesterday. - And onto golf! Is there anyone to bet other than Scheffler or Rory? - Favorites and dark horses; we cover it all! :30- ANGIE MENTINK (Root Sports) joins the show after last night's walk-off win. - The pitching staff deserves props and then some- Woo impresses and we are grateful for Brash's return! - Leody Taveras' quick transition with his new team :45- The NFL loves attention and they know how to get it! It's Schedule release day and there haven't been a lot of leaks, especially when it comes to the Seahawks.
It's NFL Schedule release week and we discuss who we would like to see the Hawks open up against in 2025. There's a new policy for season ticket holders- is it fair? :30- ABCs of the Mariners - D is for demoted? Was Leo Rivas demoted when Leody Taveras came in? - E is Emerson and Evans- George Kirby comes back soon, so what happens to those two? - F is for four fingers as in we should just be putting Judge on base every time he's up. :45- We close out the show with one last thing!
Brady is back on a Friday, talking about how he's trying to enjoy this solid run of M's success and why others still are doubting the team. Then, he heaps some praise upon Carlos Vargas and Leody Taveras, while also talking about the Taveras signing in general. Also, what's wrong with Bryce Miller? And we congratulate TJ and Lyle from the Marine Layer Podcast on throwing out the ceremonial first pitch for the Everett AquaSox and it reminds Brady of when he threw out a first pitch at a minor league game also. And we have some story time from Brady's career, which leads us to find out that a current Blue Jays player was one of Brady's first "Big interviews."And Rob Bradford from Baseball Isn't Boring stops by to discuss his recent chat with Jerry Dipoto.
Bump and Stacy look back on the most exciting moments from the Mariners ninth straight series win against the Athletics, they give you their thoughts on the Seahawks possible reunion with Shaquill Griffin and the NBA Playoffs in Headline Rewrites, they break down how claiming Leody Taveras could hurt the Mariners ability to add at the trade deadline, and they hear why one of the biggest voices in sports is liking the Seahawks in 2025.
Brady sits down for his weekly chat with ESPN MLB Insider Buster Olney, who talks about if the M's are for real or not, the issues for Bryce Miller and the injury forecasts for George Kirby and Logan Gilbert. Other topics include Kenta Maeda getting DFA'd, the Blue Jays building up rotation depth by adding Spencer Turnbull and Jose Urena, and speculating on how Max Scherzer would fare as a reliever.Listener question topics include the Orioles bad start to the season and who could be traded if things don't turn around, if the Tigers would consider extending or trading Tarik Skubal at some point in the next two years, and some under-the-radar guys who are quietly having great seasons.
