In this interview we chat with AHRI Research Officer Roberto Lujan Rocha about the survey work he has conducted on the quality of water sourced on farm for spray application. This project is a collaboration between University of Western Australia, AHRI and the Centre for Water & Spatial Science. The team looked at water from bores, dams, desalinated water, rainwater tanks and scheme water.  Roberto surveyed water sources in the mid to south West Australian wheatbelt in September 2022 and has recently completed surveys of water sources in the Merredin area of Western Australia. So why is this survey work important? Well, when it comes to optimising spray efficacy, water quality is an integral component. Roberto's initial survey showed that some water sources might fall outside the ideal ranges to ensure good spray application. He  explains the survey results in detail in this chat. I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend and we're able to celebrate and or relax recuperate reconnect on Martin Luther king Jr day. And I'm very important day in this country's history. Again, very happy to be back. This is Elliot lane with cannabis daily, Aaron Thomas producing the show as always, and thanks to Benzinger for the platform. We've got tons of dive into stuff from Friday stuff from over the weekend. Some new. From yesterday as well. And this morning, so let's dive right in. We won't hold you up any longer. So first and foremost, Delta nine, that is DLT and F on the OTC gets a buy rating and a $1 Canadian price target from research capital citing doubled retail footprint to around 30 or 2 35 from 16.And they maintained their market share in recently released. Guidance plus tons more. There are several press releases on this prompts to Ian Chad C. John are both not over there and team. Delta nine has been working very diligently in the Canadian LP space and they are really putting up a good fight and their numbers. Are behind that and show that stem holdings or driven by stem now S T M H on the OTC releases their fiscal year 2021 earnings after market closes on Friday revenues of around 41.8 million are up 155% year over year. Their fiscal year 2020. Revenues or 16.4 million. So huge bump percentage wise for the company year over year in 2022, they're looking to reduce expenses and achieve positive adjusted EBITDA.So it's driven by stem. Honestly, when I first looked at this press release, I was a bit concerned that they decided to release aftermarket. On a Friday news dump, but with that being said, these numbers are very promising. And I think with the exception of the negative epidemic so far 2022 could be a very positive year for this company.AI based market research solution report, linker.com says the global cannabis beverage industry. We'll reach 2 billion us dollars by 2026. So big promise there for the beverage market. Vermont lawmakers introduced a legislation to decriminalize all drugs. The measure would make possession and distribution of personal amounts of currently illicit drugs punishable by a $50 fine with no prison sentence.  Lots to dive into, I would say, on the political front there, but that is not the purpose of the show. That being said a good step forward for cannabis, a sin wellness AA, w H on the OTC files a lawsuit in the commercial division of New York Supreme court against med men, M NFF. You thought we were done with this story?Didn't yet AEW Atrius in wellness holdings, seeking an order to compel med men. On the specific performance of transactions covered in the investment agreement between the two companies, mad men, really doing their best to just sidestep or juke this, that this appeal, this investment agreement between the two companies, but as sin wellness will not give up and will not be ignored. So Abner, Curtin and team are going to fight this whole. Halo collective H C a N F on the OTC receives a local approval for the new blue Degas dispensary. That's B U D E G a in Los Angeles is NoHo arts district. The last regulatory hurdle will be state level approval. This will be the second bodega dispensary plan to open in Southern California in the next few months. Also news for halo can a collective. They did just receive. 14 million Canadian dollar financing from alpha blue ocean family office. So halo collected was one I mentioned last year that I'd like to see, get a little bit more aggressive with their news flow. Get a little bit more aggressive with visibility. And so far in 2022, they have not disappointed. Valance V L N S on the NASDAQ announces a virtual investor day on February 7th at 11:00 AM. Eastern time going to go over. Milestones in 2021 as well as the company direction in 2022, I believe probably lots to discuss there for management decibel cannabis.DBCF announces a record market share growth in Canada up to 3.4% in the major markets within Canada.  Major provinces up to 4.2% and Ontario, specifically up to 3.1% New Mexico devils plant limits for cannabis growers. So good news there. However, some are worried. This increase is too little too late with recreational sales beginning in 74 days. Many saying there will be product shortage due to the state capping the industries. 1933 industries listed on the OTC. T G I F F. Thank God. It's Friday. It's Tuesday. I'm sorry. Signs abiding LOI to acquire day one beverages day one has a portfolio of CBD infused sparkling water product products. The acquisition will consist of all common stock around 55 million shares seems like a lot of stock to me for a sparkling water. Beverage company, but that being said, we did just go over the promise and potential of the marijuana and cannabis beverage industry. A and T G I F may be among the winners. We'll see generation hemp, G E N H, announces collaboration with crypto solutions. This may be one of the cooler news bits. I think of the day they are collaborating to build green energy plants in Bitcoin mining complex. That we'll utilize hemp feedstock as a fuel source to power mining equipment hemp goings industrial here, in my opinion, its future promise among other things of course, but combining two pounds. Bitcoin mining operations is a super cool collaboration that to me, there are many ways cannabis and crypto will join forces and to see it happening now with a hemp company as a potential power source is super interesting. And another winner for the day Mira med, MRMD probably one of the biggest winners of 2021. Is set to acquire green growth group, which has an Illinois license for vertically integrated operations, may embed making big strides and acquisitions recently, AMC MJ, or Merredin merger Corp to adjourn business combination meeting with Leafly to February 1st.When they finally get some closure on this yall, Leafly may finally be public in February. That is urban gro NASDAQ listed UGR oh, announces increase. It increase to its stock repurchase program. Now up to $7 million worth of common stock shares looking to increase that shareholder value over at urban growth and finally grow generation G RWG in collaboration with harvest 360 technologies, they are launching a new national program to support education and training for social.Applications, tons of news today, all big winners for me, our mayor med MRMD on the OTC generation, hemp, G and H on the OTC and urban gro UGR O on the NASDAQ. It is your second hump day. I was about to say your first, but that just means that someday welcome to Wednesday. This is Elliot lane with cannabis daily. Thanks for tuning in and as always thanks to our producer, Aaron Thomas for making the show happen and Benzinga. For letting us host this platform. This show gives you your daily cannabis insights and news into investing in cannabis stocks. So let's dive right in first and foremost, we're going to chat about the overall industry B D S a major data company releases a report on the year ahead And cannabis. This is directly from this report. Us legal cannabis market reached circa 25 billion by the end of 2021 40% increase year over year. This is driven by mature state markets, seeing more growth, the development of new and active state cannabis markets. So the mature state markets being your California is your Colorado's Oregon. So on and so forth. The new inactive state markets being Michigan, Illinois. Some of the stronger Midwestern states there, as well as emerging states with recent or coming legalization, thinking more along the lines of your New York  and states of that nature that have been in the. BDSA predicts the growth of brand recognition and perhaps brand loyalty.Along with that quality cues will drive bigger price differentiation. That's interesting, and the FDA will not help out CBD this year. Unfortunately, and vaping will still be a strong branch and or arm of consumption. For cannabis, so things to keep an eye on per BDSA their year ahead report. Next up we have Tilray in the news several times yesterday, but first and foremost, I would not be doing my team service if I didn't call out a fantastic interview that my colleagues, Patrick Lane and Javier Haas had with Erwin Simon, the CEO of Tilray brands yesterday on our YouTube channel. You can find that on Benzing a YouTube fantastic interview until Tilray earnings. However, TLR Y on the NASDAQ and AB InBev or B U E B U D a as their ticker is call off their partnership from 2018. Each company was to invest around 50 million, $50 million. Fluent beverage company with 50% interest, each seems like a AB InBev got a little bit better of the call-off deal.I think they're keeping the equipment, but overall, I don't think a huge loss for till racing is how they've expanded their portfolio. And speaking of Tilray acquires two more California craft beer brands for $5.1 million. I think that's around six and a half million Canadian dollars. Is seemingly looking to become a.A strong beer provider themselves. And obviously this will lead to THC consumption beverage products in the future, but for now they are moving and shaking that industry Leafly and Meredith merger Corp announced a $30 million convertible. Financing new capital will fully fund Leafly is multi-year business plan upon closing Merredin merger Corp is NASDAQ listed MC MJ.The notes will bear about an 8% interest per year. The convertible notes for the financing are due by 2025. Leafly per their press release helps about 125 million visitors discover cannabis per year. That is. Huge number. This is a huge opportunity. And the fact that 30 million is going to cover what they need to cover is decently impressive.Given the financings we've seen recently in cannabis, Michigan cannabis sales finished 2021 with strong December up 10% sequentially and 66% year over year to $168 million. The interesting thing about Michigan though, as they separate medical and recreational sales, medical sales, actually. By 17% year over year, recreational sales were up by 119% year over year.So obviously putting some focus there for the companies in Michigan thinking gage and or Tara said and several big private operators and there are some other MSOE in the state with smaller footprints, can source them and Greenlane G and L N receives approval from U S P S to send a B2B designated vape products through the mail. This is super interesting as I, I do remember this being a point of contention recently with vape products going through the mail but G and Ellen announces the approval. Recently cannabis action in Greece, y'all Kaia holdings, or K a Y S on the OTC announced they're majority owned subsidiary. Kaia farms.Greece has entered into an agreement to acquire 50% of a medical cannabis. Project. So more movement in Greece, more movement internationally. There was also an article that you'll be able to find on Benzing. I believe that discusses the importance of cannabis for the future of that continence economy.Super, super interesting. To get more news like that on benzinga.com/cannabis. One thing I do want to call out are some movers from yesterday. Up on the day, includes canopy growth, village farms, Neptune wellness terrace, and grow generation Hexo Oxley group. But in my opinion, one of the biggest winners was green lane.Their shares closed up yesterday, almost 13%. So keep an eye on them throughout the day. I think the U S P S news is bigger than it's getting credit for at the moment down for the day. The green, organic Dutchman. They closed down about 3.2, 5%. But they have had a good run lately, so that doesn't make me super worried about the stock itself.Thanks. Y'all for tuning in on this fine Wednesday. I hope you all are getting ready for a very successful day of investing. This is Elliot lane with cannabis daily rate and review us, let us know what you think. That would lead her on to then work as the only woman at radio station 6PR (until she was fired for being so), and her acting pursuits over east saw her in notable shows such as Blue Heelers and Neighbours. A new GRDC publication containing the latest research into canola production in Western Australia's low rainfall zones is now available. This detailed GRDC publication also contains grower case studies outlining how growers manage their crops to get the best results in these challenging environments. In this podcast you'll hear from one of those growers Tony Murfit, who farms near Merredin, about a three hour drive east of Perth. Debra Bishop travelled to the eastern grain belt to record this account of Tony Murfit's experience as a canola grower. We are up to Episode 10 on SBL Shootaround and to celebrate getting to double-figures, this could very well be the most excited we have been to release a show - and we hope you feel the same listening to it! First up co-hosts Chris Pike and Randy Miegel take a look at Round 2 in the SBL replacement West Coast Classic, and announce the winner of the Wandering Distiller Player of Round 2. The winner receives a voucher to The Shoe Bar. It's then time to have a detailed look at the results and starring performances from Round 2 in the West Coast Classic before turning attention to our remarkably special guest. We were honoured on Women's SBL Shootaround to be joined by the legendary Tully Bevilaqua live from her home in Indiana. The triple SBL championship winner, triple WNBL title winner and WNBA championship winner with the Seattle Storm joined us for a fascinating discussion about life, basketball and everything in between. Of course we discussed her basketball career where she played 150 games in the SBL, almost 500 in the WNBA and almost 300 in the WNBL while racking up the championships and defensive awards, but that only just scratched the surface. We talked about life growing up in Merredin, her move to Perth and ultimately playing basketball around the world and then now settling in Indiana with her wife Lindsay and their two children. We discussed being the wife of a police officer in the current environment, her life as a mother and TV commentator for the Indiana Fever, and so much more. You just have to listen for everything we discussed! We are then back to preview Round 3 of the West Coast Classic and announce our two special guests who will join us in the studio next week!
