What if the body continues responding to experiences that the conscious mind no longer clearly remembers? In this episode of TribeTalk, Mike Casey and Rosita Alvarez explore emotional memory, muscle checking, nervous system responses, and the subconscious patterns that may continue influencing our physical and emotional health long after difficult experiences have passed. Rosita shares how resonance repatterning uses muscle checking as a form of biofeedback to help identify unresolved emotional stress patterns, limiting beliefs, and subconscious responses that may be affecting the body and nervous system in ways many people do not fully recognize. Together, they discuss the connection between emotional experiences, physical symptoms, stress responses, and the ways unresolved patterns may continue shaping reactions, behaviors, and overall well-being. In this discussion, they dive into:  What muscle checking is and how it works Why the body often reacts before the conscious mind understands why How emotional memory and subconscious patterns may influence physical symptoms The relationship between nervous system dysregulation and unresolved experiences Why repeatedly retelling painful stories does not always create healing How resonance repatterning helps uncover and shift hidden emotional stress patterns Unresolved emotional experiences may continue influencing health, reactions, and stress responses in ways many people do not fully recognize, and this episode offers a fascinating perspective on the mind-body connection and root-cause healing. There's more scepticism about who'll end up paying for a new LNG terminal. The Government's pressing on with plans but scrapping a proposed levy on power bills, intended to pay for the facility. It's also announced stronger dry year supply requirements and penalties for gentailers. Rewiring Aotearoa Chief Executive Mike Casey told Francesca Rudkin he hopes the facility doesn't get built – especially if the cost falls on gentailers. He says it'll be a great outcome for consumers if gentailers are not forced to pay for it, but then the question of where the money comes from remains. Trauma is often seen as something you either carry… or try to move past. But there is another possibility that most people never fully explore. In this episode of TribeTalk, Mike Casey and Ann Hutyra are joined by Karin Clarke to examine what happens after a traumatic experience and why people respond so differently. Some remain caught in repeating patterns, while others begin to shift into something new. This conversation looks at what it actually means to process an experience instead of avoiding it or becoming defined by it, and how those patterns can influence both your health and your sense of identity over time. This conversation explores: How post-traumatic growth differs from simply coping or “bouncing back” The patterns that keep people cycling through the same emotional loops Why avoidance and over-identification both prevent forward movement How the body continues to respond to unresolved experiences Questions you can begin asking yourself to create a different path If you have ever felt like something from your past is still shaping how you think, feel, or respond, this episode offers a different way to understand what may be happening. A decent haul from Mike Hosking's cherry tree. Last year he was gifted a tree to ‘adopt' by the team at Electric Cherries – who run everything without the use of fossil fuels. The ‘Mike Hosking Tree' has now been harvested and six kilos of cherries are ready to be eaten. Founder Mike Casey told Mike Hosking that it's been a pretty rough season down in Central Otago, with a lot of wind, rain, and a lot of damaged cherries. But there's a consolation prize, he says, which is that prices have remained high since there's been much fewer cherries on the market.
