The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 1: 3:05pm- Rich opens the show right as the Philadelphia Phillies kick off their home opener—he hilariously begs the audience to turn down the volume on their televisions and listen to his show on the radio or Audacy app. Plus, Rich explains why the family that stacks wood outdoors together stays together…wait, what? 3:15pm- On Thursday, former President Donald Trump attended the wake of fallen New York City Police Officer Jonathan Diller. Officer Diller, 31-years-old, was fatally shot during a traffic stop earlier this week in Massapequa, NY. Speaking from outside the wake, Trump said “this is a horrible thing and it's happening all too often”—noting that the man accused of killing Officer Diller had been previously arrested on numerous occasions, and yet was allowed to go free each time. 3:20pm- While appearing on a Meet the Press Now panel on Thursday, former U.S. Congressman Joe Crowley (D-NY) was asked about polls indicating President Joe Biden trails Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in a vast majority of swing states, as well as head-to-head nationally. Crowley bizarrely compared Biden's struggles to Abraham Lincoln: “Go back to 1864. Abraham Lincoln thought he was going to lose the election.” 3:30pm- A series of new studies, including one from Johns Hopkins professor Steve Hanke and President of American Commitment's Phil Kerpen, indicate that the Covid-19 lockdowns did far more harm than good. 3:50pm- According to reports, the Federal Bureau of Investigation visited the home of a Muslim woman in Oklahoma after she shared pro-Palestinian posts on Meta-owned social media platform Facebook. Similarly, White House press reporter Simon Ateba shared news that the FBI showed up at the home of a notable Donald Trump supporter on X. Is speech on social media now being policed by the federal government?
Hour 2: Sue has today's Sue's News on "We Are The World," a glowing review for the latest "Dune" movie, and the Random Fact of the Day on Animal Crackers. Then, Robert Bryce, a reporter focused on energy, power, innovation & politics, joins Mark Reardon to discuss how the Biden Administration is out of touch on EVs.
This week on MissionCTRL, Dr. Chaka Felder-McEntire joined Ramon and the PD Flight Crew to share what she's been up to at Higher Heights since making the leap to being its full time Executive Director.. On Saturday, March 23, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am, Higher Heights will host an Educational Summit at the Canal Dock Boathouse in New Haven. In 2003, Dr. Felder-McEntire started Higher Heights as a social side hustle while working as a school counselor. The mission of Higher Heights Youth Empowerment Programs, Inc. is to change the lives of under-represented college-bound students by empowering, encouraging, and equipping them to obtain a post-secondary education. Chaka started her college career with ambitions of becoming an interior designer. However, after just a week, she realized it wasn't a good fit, so she recalibrated and charted a course more aligned with her purpose and passion. Dr. Felder-McEntire is a 20+ year educational administrator with expertise in leadership, diversity and equity, school counseling, and college & career readiness. Born and raised in Harlem, Chaka's dad was an NYC Police Officer, her mother was an NYC Public school teacher, and her grandmother was a social worker who worked with Percy Sutton and Shirley Chisholm. Tune in to hear how Dr. Felder-McEntire turned her social side hustle, with an astounding 100% high school graduation rate and 95% college enrollment rate, into her main mission. If you think one person can't make an impace, think again. In 2016 at the young age of 54, former Brooklyn Borough President and now New York Democratic Mayoral Candidate, Eric Adams, listened as his doctor gave him a grim diagnosis of Type II diabetes. Sadly, he felt it was an inevitable fate because of rampant family history. What didn't sit with him was relinquishing control of his health and realizing that he was going to be on medication for the rest of his life as his body continued to deteriorate. Refusing to be buried by this diagnosis, Adams did something that would change the course of his life forever. Instead of googling, “Living with Diabetes,” he typed, “Reversing Diabetes” and a seed was planted. Fortunately, that seed has produced a bountiful harvest of hope and inspiration. In just three short years since that diagnosis, Eric Adams has made a remarkable personal recovery plus a resounding impact with whole foods plant-based initiatives in New York City. He has lived a rich life committed to public service as an NYC Police Officer, New York State Senator, and Brooklyn Borough President. He recently won the Democratic Mayoral Primary and will be the lead candidate on the ticket this Fall. But this new chapter may be his most vital act of service yet - improving the lives and vitality of families and children in New York and beyond. One person can, indeed, create meaningful change and leave a legacy of hope. Will you be the next? . 56: Sacred Stress. A conversation with George Faller. George is an outstanding person to connect with during this virus crisis because while when it comes to whether or not the virus is here, we do not have any choice in the matter. However, we can choose how to respond to the chaos and sense of disconnection that it brings. George's role with the New York City Fire Department positioned him as a first responder to the Twin Towers on 9/11/2001. In the aftermath of this trauma, through education, training, and personal exploration, he began to understand his mission and purpose to be supporting others through crisis and trauma. Currently, as a marriage and family therapist, speaker, and writer, George works to bring his message to others. The most simplified form of this message is that we usually find the sacred within the stressful. But first, we need to find out which kind of stress we are talking about in the first place. In this conversation, George and I explore the two different kinds of stress - distress and eustress- the value within the function of the various ways in which we approach stress both approach and withdrawal, the hidden costs of our attempts to protect and defend ourselves, misconceptions surrounding our interpretation of stress, the influence between our individual perceptions of stress and the physiological consequences to that stress, the science behind coming together for support even when the larger part of our defenses are oriented to retreat, post-traumatic growth and the meaning that often accompanies the most devastating moments of our lives. Bio: Prior to a career in the field of mental health, George spent 20 years as a NYC Firefighter and NYC Police Officer. George received his M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Iona College, where he graduated at the top of his class. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Queens College. His experience as a FDNY Peer Counselor, particularly following the events of 9/11, sparked his passion to help those impacted by trauma. He is a certified Trainer/Supervisor/Therapist in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and founder of the New York Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy where he serves as President. He is a Supervisor with the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT) and teaches classes at the Ackerman Institute for the Family in Manhattan. He is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist currently practicing in Connecticut and New York. George is the director of training at the Greenwich Center for Hope & Renewal in Connecticut and is on the Board of the Porter Cason Institute at Tulane University in New Orleans. George brings a unique and varied experience to his practice. Whether he is providing marriage therapy to Wall Street executives, leading a conference for the United States Military or equipping therapists from around the globe, his ability to inspire is far-reaching. George is also committed to bringing EFT to underprivileged populations and pushing the leading edge of effective therapy. https://www.georgefaller.com https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/foreplay-radio-couples-and-sex-therapy/id1083324677 Band of the Week: Keanu Leaves https://www.facebook.com/Keanuleavesband/ Music Page: https://music.apple.com/us/album/antigravity-machine-single/1475012751 Theme music provided by: http://www.modernnationsmusic.com Brought to you by: https://www.thecenterforhas.com Website for The Sacred Speaks: http://www.thesacredspeaks.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thesacredspeaks/ @thesacredspeaks Twitter: https://twitter.com/thesacredspeaks Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thesacredspeaks/

Lt. Joseph Petrosino, NYPD, made it his mission to take down the notorious extortion and crime ring known as “The Black Hand,” which infiltrated New York City’s immigrant communities and others across the nation, having roots within the Sicilian Mafia. This is a black arts and culture site. We will be exploring the African Diaspora via the writing, performance, both musical and theatrical (film and stage), as well as the visual arts of Africans in the Diaspora and those influenced by these aesthetic forms of expression. I am interested in the political and social ramifications of art on society, specifically movements supported by these artists and their forbearers. It is my claim that the artists are the true revolutionaries, their work honest and filled with raw unedited passion. They are our true heroes. Ashay! 1.
