Schoepp Farms, led by Ron Schoepp, is a pioneer in sustainable agriculture in Wisconsin. Established in 1949 when Schoepp's father moved to the area, the farm has embraced conservation practices that keep it thriving today. Schoepp Farms manages a rotational grazing operation, dairy heifers, beef cattle, and various row crops, including alfalfa, wheat, and cover crops. Over the years, the farm has become a leader in practices like no-till, which Schoepp adopted in 1991, and the use of cover crops, which they began in the mid-90s. "One of the biggest benefits we see from no-till and rotational grazing is keeping the soil where it belongs," Schoepp says. "It's crucial to keep nutrients in the soil, not washing away into nearby water bodies. With these practices, we're not just protecting our land but also adapting to climate extremes," he adds, reflecting on their resilience during the drought of 2012.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

On this episode of Tent Show Radio, Milwaukee singer/songwriter Trapper Schoepp performs tunes from his latest release, Siren Songs. Trapper Schoepp is a storyteller. Both in his songs and between them in live performances, he seemingly never tires of telling stories—his own and those he witnesses, learns about and dreams up. Through his unwavering commitment to authenticity and unrelenting passion for storytelling, Schoepp not only pays homage to the roots of American music but also pushes the boundaries, leaving an indelible mark on the ever-evolving tapestry of sound. In 2019, Milwaukee's Trapper Schoepp hit a songwriter's jackpot: a co-write with Bob Dylan. The circumstances behind the song titled, “On, Wisconsin” were wildly serendipitous, and made Schoepp the youngest musician to share a co-writing credit with the Nobel Prize laureate. A collaboration 57 years in the making, “On, Wisconsin” led to features in Rolling Stone and Billboard, an album called Primetime Illusion, and nearly a hundred international tour dates. Schoepp continues down the trail trod by his musical heroes with his latest release, Siren Songs, an album of 12 songs filled with timeless folklore and nautical imagery. In a fortunate stroke of serendipity, Trapper is joined on two tracks by Sarah Peasall McGuffey, who famously lent her vocal talents to the aforementioned film. Trapper sings alongside his brother and bassist, Tanner Schoepp, with characteristic blood harmony, the unique blend of sibling singers. The studio band included drummer Jon Radford (Justin Townes Earle), John Jackson on mandolin and violin, Patrick Sansone on keys, Quinn Scharber on Nashville tuned guitar, and Jim Hoke (Dolly Parton, Paul McCartney) on tin whistle and accordion. This is a what we like to call a greatest hit – or a replay– of an earlier episode we thought was outstanding and wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed the recording of it. Greg is joined by fellow investor and friend Neil Schoepp and they tackle putting multifamily investing in fishing terms. After listening to a discussion comparing Property Management to NASCAR, Greg and Neil decided to apply the same method to multifamily investing and fishing. Finding something relatable often helps ideas become clear and actionable.Check out Neil's Multifamily Investment Company: https://bulmacproperties.com/You can reach Neil by email at: neil@bulmacproperties.com Reach Greg at -Greg@realwealth.solutions or schedule a call - Calendly - Greg ScullyReach Darren at -Darren@realwealth.solutions or schedule a call - Calendly - Darren Light

Through the years, Trapper Schoepp has released four excellent albums, played hundreds of shows all over the U.S. and Europe, shared the stage with some of music's most noted names, had songs on television, and has established himself as one of Wisconsin's premier performers. Oh, and he also has a co-writing credit with Bob Dylan! Before he was making a living as a musician and collaborating with legends, Schoepp was a kid in Ellsworth, Wisconsin who took up the guitar after suffering a BMX-related injury. Now that the pandemic has canceled his European tour and thrown a wrench in his usually busy summer show schedule, Schoepp has some time to catch up with My First Band host Tyler Maas. Over the course of the conversation, the accomplished singer-songwriter talked about the ways he's keeping busy and staying productive, his experience playing a few socially distant drive-in shows, and the unexpected set of circumstances that led to him finishing a song Dylan started many years earlier. Of course, Scheopp also looked back on his early on-stage experiences, including important albums his dentist gave him, memories of his first shows, enduring some rowdy Social Distortion fans, being stranded in a small town on the way home from tour and formative figures that helped bring him to the place he is today. My First Band is sponsored by Mystery Room Mastering and Lakefront Brewery. The show is edited by Jared Blohm. You can listen to My First Band on iTunes, Stitcher, Spotify, and wherever else you get podcasts. Music used in this show comes courtesy of Devils Teeth ("The Junction Street Eight Tigers") and Trapper Schoepp ("Keep Me In Your Heart" and "On, Wisconsin").
Welcome to the Multi-FAMILY zone podcast, where business meets family. The hosts of the show, Julia and Gino Barbaro, have been married for over twenty years, and have six children. Julia homeschools the children, and recently became a marriage and life coach to help couples become better communicators and help enrich their lives. The couple is constantly asked about how they balance their entrepreneurial and real estate journey while raising their kids. The Multi-FAMILY zone was created to address these questions, along with a host of questions from the Jake and Gino community. In this week’s episode, Julia & Gino interview Neil Schoepp, A Jake & Gino community member, who attributes his success to joining the community and immersing himself in personal development and life coaching. Neil joined MFI Holding, and as part of the underwriting team, Neil does more than add numbers. With a passion for real estate investing, Neil analyzes deals with meticulous attention to details. He can often be found at seminars and conferences where he stretches his knowledge of the latest trends. Realizing his desire to continue to serve the community after retirement, Neil went on to co-found the largest preschool in his county and created a Real Estate Group where he teaches others about the magic of investing. Neil also builds houses for those in need through the local Habitat for Humanity chapter. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his 2 children and wife of 20 years and keeping busy with fly-fishing and wood-turning. Neil discusses how personal development has enriched his life, and how he attributes his success to life coaching, and the joy he derives from helping others. Rhett sat down with singer-songwriter Trapper Schoepp at Schoepp’s home in Milwaukee to talk about “Primetime Illusion”, his latest album. Schoepp explains the story behind “On Wisconsin”, the song he co-wrote with Bob Dylan.
With an infectious personality and a flashy style behind the drums, Jon Phillip has laid down beats for nearly a dozen different bands since he first picked up the sticks in the early '90s. Phillip's first bands — Tralfez and Spank Child — were based in the rural town of Grafton, Wisconsin, where he grew up. He then joined the up-and-coming power-pop group the Benjamins, who would go on to sign with Drive-Thru Records and tour the country several times over. Following the Benjamins, Phillip briefly played in the Nice Outfit before forming the roots rock band the Obsoletes with Justin Perkins and Tim Schweiger, who previously played together in Yesterday's Kids. Phillip went on to drum for the alt-country band Limbeck, of Doghouse Records. And the prolific drummer has since played with a string of other nationally known acts, including Berwanger, the Wildbirds, Screeching Weasel, Paul Collins Beat, Trapper Schoepp and Tommy Stinson. Stinson, of course, is known for being a member of both the Replacements and Guns & Roses. Phillip is now fronting the punk group Mini Meltdowns, which features Scott Schoenbeck (Promise Ring, Dashboard Confessional and Rx Drugs) on bass. Phillip also runs Good Land Records, an independent record label, from his Nashville home.
WMSE is excited to be back once again at Club Garibaldi for our monthly Local/Live segments! We’re ready for another great year of local music and on Tuesday, January 8th, we kick the year off with a bang and open the doors to welcome to the stage Milwaukee’s Trapper Schoepp, who has a brand new album to share. Trapper Schoepp’s newest, ‘Primetime Illusion’ – produced by Pat Sansone (Wilco, Robyn Hitchcock) – will see its worldwide release on Xtra Mile Recordings on January 25th. This time around, it sees Schoepp reaching for his own place in the canon with a truly remarkable collection of character-driven songs and stories, a carefully etched series of sonic snapshots in which people we all know struggle to fulfill their own American dream. The album also features a co-write with Bob Dylan called, “On, Wisconsin.” With its extraordinary melding of the personal and political, ‘Primetime Illusion’ firmly places Trapper Schoepp amongst the long American continuum of singing storytellers, a pedigree and place on the family tree that inspires and drives him each and every new day. As always, WMSE Music Director Erin and co-host Cal will lead the our musical guests through questions in between the live performance with the help of our audience (and audience participation is encouraged!). YOU can join WMSE and Trapper Schoepp for a sneak peek of ‘Primetime Illusion’ – doors are at 5:30pm and the segment starts at 6pm, running until 7pm. Club Garibaldi’s is located at 2501 S. Superior Street in Bay View. If you can’t join us in-person, listen live over the airwaves (or in the WMSE archives) at the 6 o’clock hour. This 21+ event is FREE and open to the public. Local/Live on WMSE is sponsored by Club Garibaldi.

Pastor Lora talks about marriage and family life.
This marks the second episode of our series with BOSS / ROLAND on their epic product launch that happened September 9, 2016. For 33 years the TR-909 has been one of the most definitive sounds in electronic music, and the beating heart of DJ culture. Join us as we celebrate 33 years of the “909” with the release of many new and inspiring electronic instruments. This episode features an in depth look at this launch with Darren Schoepp, Roland Canada Percussion Product Specialist. Darren discusses the evolution of Roland’s V Drum technology and their brand new line of electronic percussion products.
“On Rangers & Valentines, Schoepp continues to write narrative-driven songs, something he’s improved on from his first two albums, 2009’s Lived and Moved and 2011’s Run, Engine, Run. He drops his characters into adrenaline-filled situations – diseases, natural disasters, even war – to see how they endure in the face of danger. It may sound dramatic, but many of the dire situations come straight from Schoepp’s life. “‘His whole personality revolves around telling people stories,” says the band’s former guitarist, Graham Hunt. “He’s the kind of guy that weird, funny situations follow him around, so he’s always got fuel for his stories.'” ~Milwaukee Magazine
