This week, A'ndre is joined by Javed Ali, a former counterterrorism official who served as Senior Director of Counterterrorism on the National Security Council, to discuss Friday's horrific ISIS terror attacks at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow, Russia. Javed and A'ndre discuss what ISIS-K is, and how the Afghan-based group is different from the 'core' ISIS that has operated in Iraq and Syria. Javed outlines how ISIS-K has grown in recent years and their abilities to plot attacks outside of their locality, citing the recent ISIS-K suicide bombings in Iran and foiled plots in Europe. A'ndre and Javed also chat about how U.S. Intelligence warned both Russia and Iran in the days preceding the respective ISIS-K attacks and how the Afghanistan withdrawal has affected intelligence gathering. Javed provides his take on the profiles of those who have conducted ISIS-K's attacks, and whether the tactics taken in Moscow bare parallels to the 2015 Paris Attacks or 2008's 26/11 attacks in Mumbai.

On this episode of the world famous Sofa King Podcast, we talk about the terrorist attack on Paris in 2015. On the night of November 13th, a coordinated assault raged across the city. There were a host of suicide bombers at a soccer match, and there was a car doing some nasty drive-by shootings at restaurants. The worst, however, was an assault inside of an Eagles of Death Metal concert that killed around 90 people. So, who planned this horrible attack? What did they want? What did this have to do with a magazine called Charlie Hebdo? What happened to the terrorists? Listen, laugh, learn. IN THE PRESS – Wednesday, 29.06.2022: With a verdict expected today, the French press is taking a look back at the past 10 months of the November 2015 Paris terror attacks trial. We also discuss bombshell testimony in the January 6 Capitol riot hearings, France's new National Assembly speaker and a French media strike. Finally, we find out why double-shampooing is a no-no in Italy.
France's biggest-ever court case continues with dramatic interventions from witnesses and defendents. A bill to criminalise bullying at school and university raises questions. The 19th century roots of growing anti-intellectualism in France. The trial of 14 men accused of taking part and planning the 2015 Paris terrorist attacks is now at the halfway point. RFI journalist Michael Fitzpatrick has been covering the trial from the outset, and has written about it as a “ritual” of justice. He talks about the drama inherent in such a ritual, and the impact the trial has had on survivors of the attacks and families of victims – many of whom are participating as 'partie civil' (civil party). Their desire to put their suffering and grief into public record may well extend the trial beyond May, when it was scheduled to end. (Listen @0'00) Around one out of 10 children in France have experienced some form of harassment at school and a draft bill going through parliament would make bullying in schools and universities a criminal offence. But is this an adapted response? At a centre outside of Paris to help bullied kids, parents and children talk about feeling helpless faced with harassment which has pushed some children to take their own lives. (Listen @16'50'') Intellectuals play an important role in public life in France, but a certain anti-intellectualism is growing, with critiques of race and gender studies in universities, and nationalists positioning themselves against leftist universalism. The negative connotation is not new however and can be traced back to the 19th century, in an article published on 1 February 1898 in the midst of the Dreyfus Affair. * Bob Enyart Reports on the Paris Attacks: and contrasts those who celebrated them with another celebration, here in Denver. Bob Enyart Live also contrasted Mohammed with Jesus, and the Democratic delusion with the threats actually facing the world. * The Media Says that Islam is Tolerant: "If Islam is a religion of tolerance, than how many synagogues are in Mecca, a 500-square-mile city of a million people? None. And how many churches are in the entire country of Saudi Arabia? None. Islam is the religion of intolerance. (Meanwhile, there is the Great Synagogue of Rome and the Mosque of Rome.)" -Bob Enyart, kgov.com/terrorism * Obama Says Islam is a Peaceful Religion: "Iran and Saudi Arabia, two countries with Islamic governments, call for the death penalty for a Muslim who converts to Christianity or just renounces Islam. When someone says Islam is a religion of peace, just ask, Where?" -Bob Enyart, kgov.com/terrorism * The Primary Victims of Islamic Terrorism: "As for the many followers of the Koran being slaughtered daily by Islamic terrorists, the world will have to wait until Barack Obama is out of office before America's might will be used to save these Muslims." -Bob Enyart, kgov.com/terrorism * Saudi Arabia, the Hajj, and Terrorism: "If Islam opposes terrorism, then Saudi Arabia should announce that no one supportive of ISIS or Al Qaeda is welcome in Mecca to make Hajj." -Bob Enyart, kgov.com/hajj * Terrorism is crime committed by an individual or group to influence public policy. Other perfectly good words exist to describe heinous acts, like murder, arson, genocide, unjust war, mass murder, war crimes, etc. Terrorism is not work place violence, unjust domestic or foreign war waged by nations, a family murder-suicide, nor revenge against a boss or a school, regardless of the weapons used, the amount of terror inflicted, or the number of victims. Such unjust and criminal behavior terrorizes people, but without the aim of influencing public policy, it is not terrorism.
A look at the 6th anniversary of the Paris terror attacks reveals that the time is ripe for it to happen here!
Isra Mohammed's speech to her school in Newcastle, UK, went went around the world in December of 2015. She was a 15 year old student at Kenton School, Newcastle, and she'd been subjected to racist and Islamophobic taunts after the ISIS attacks on Paris, that killed 130 people and injured hundreds more. When her brother and sister were targeted, Isra decided she had to do something, and so arranged to address the whole school, to tell her fellow students about Islam, and to try to dispel myths and ignorance about the religion. One delivery of this speech (she gave a few) was recorded, uploaded to YouTube and went around the world as a viral sensation. Tony has a new website for the books he has written. No sooner did we commemorate the 6th anniversary of the Paris attack of 2015 (their 9/11) than terrorists struck Britain! You will hear, in this podcast, that there are clues in the Paris attack that warn us the time is ripe for it to happen in the U.S. (and other Western countries)! First, you will jump in a time machine and be taken back to Paris, so you can recall the highlights of the attack where 9 terrorists used suicide belts and guns to kill 130 people and injure hundreds more at Le Stade de France, Le Theatre du Bataclan, restaurants and cafes. (Dr. Carole lived in Paris for years and gives you an inside look-literally-into what it was like being in the audience of the Bataclan after the attack.)Next we will look at the lives of the two most notable ofthese terrorists, who began as childhood BFF's, and then went on from partners in petty crime to partners in Paris carnage. Salah Abdeslam, called the ‘10th man' is currently standing trial for being in charge of logistics. His BFF, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the mastermind of the attack, who went to Syria and returned to radicalize the others, was killed by police after a manhunt. Then we will bring this story ‘home', comparing today's situation in France, where two thirds of the people feel threatened by extinction because of mass Muslim migration and their overtaking of French culture. Last, you will hear the current Department of Homeland Security warnings, and their misdirection of counter-terrorism resources toward so-called Domestic Terrorists instead of Radical Islamists - like those who perpetrated the Paris attack. So, can the Paris attack happen where you are? “Oui, Oui, absolument!”
How journalists are covering the 2015 terror attacks trial. The artists who have an important role in bringing French courtrooms alive. And France recognises Harkis' suffering, offering hope for reparations, nearly six decades after the end of the Algerian war of independence. Jihadists who planned and carried out the 2015 Paris attacks are being tried in France's biggest ever court case. Twenty people are on trial, including the only surviving member of the commando unit which killed 130 people in multiple attacks on the evening of 13 November 2015. Many more were injured and traumatised. Journalist Michael Fitzpatrick talks about the challenges of covering the historic nine-month trial, and resisting the temptation to let the accused take centre stage. (Listen @2'20) Cameras and audio recording equipment are not allowed in French courtrooms, so any visuals coming out of a trial are illustrations made by one of a few dozen courtroom artists working in France today. Joris Le Dain talks about using oil paint to honestly portray what is happening, and Dominique Lemarié compares her experience as a court artist in the US and in France over the last 40 years. (Listen @ 8'15) France has officially recognised and asked for forgiveness for the suffering of the Harkis, Algerian Muslims who fought with the French army during the 1954-1962 Algerian independence war and were then abandoned. President Emmanuel Macron's declaration, a few days before the annual Harki Day on 25 September, has broader ramifications for Franco-Algerian relations, and for the president himself. The Mind Renewed : Thinking Christianly in a New World Order
Once again we welcome to the programme Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, former US Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy, who joins us to give his reaction to the Paris Attacks of 13th November, assessing them in relation to current and historical geopolitical realities. In the second half of the interview Dr. Roberts shares with us his analysis of the TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership") and other so-called "trade deals" such as TTIP and TiSA, and raises the question as to whether we are seeing, in these developments, the dawn of the New World Order. "There will be no curiosity, no enjoyment of the process of life. All competing pleasures will be destroyed. But always—do not forget this, Winston—always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—forever." (Orwell, 1984) (For show notes please visit http://themindrenewed.com)

What is happening in France, and in many other parts of the world, is an expression of the extreme insecurity and fear that lead to acts of violence. There is a spiritual void within individuals and communities, which is quickly filled by anger and hatred. At the present time, it is of paramount importance to counteract the fragmented atmosphere of fear with a healing atmosphere of love, founded on our love-filled thoughts, attitudes, and intentions. For this, every individual needs a deep and sustaining inner strength, the depth of strength that comes from our connection with God. A healing atmosphere will help restore lives and build bridges between communities and religions, diminishing the accumulation of fear and negativity. This is the greatest means we have for lasting change in the world. We invite you to spend some time in silence each day, allowing your mind and heart to be a reservoir of love for those in Paris and for those driven to such desperate acts, and to create an atmosphere of peace in the world. Om shanti. I am peace.
One major concern after the deadly attacks on Paris is that Western governments are losing the war against ISIS online. There's renewed debate about surveillance of electronic messaging as opposed to privacy rights—and calls for Silicon Valley to curb terrorist propaganda on social media.
