In today's Daily Fix:Data reported on by Game File's Stephen Totilo show a steady decline in sales for Sony's first-party games. Despite a roster of heavy hitters such as Ghost of Tsushima, the Spider-Man games, God of War, Horizon Forbidden West, and others, they've moved fewer and fewer of those games every year (with the exception of fiscal year 2020). However, Ghost of Yōtei did reverse this trend, providing a small sales bump for the fiscal year ending March 2026. In other news, Bethesda's Fallout 76 will be getting its long-awaited current-gen update this summer. A patch note in the latest "Infestations" update revealed that a PS5 and Xbox Series X|S upgrade is coming in a few months. I used to rush home from school to see the CHCH charades series Party Game where Christie, along with impish comedian Billy Van and "Captain" Jack Duffy, formed the almost unbeatable home team. As we discuss in this interview, the weekday favourite was kind of Canada's low budget Tonight Show. It allowed viewers to see homegrown singers, actors and other celebrities as themselves in a relaxed and casual setting. Christie's more serious side shone a decade earlier when she was the self-admitted "token blond" on the landmark (but short-lived) Canadian newsmagazine This Hour Has Seven Days. Hear her on those experiences as well as her three seasons opposite Don Adams on the less acclaimed grocery store set sitcom Check it Out!.

Xbox has a huge stable of studios under the Xbox Game Studios banner, as well as those under Activision Blizzard King (which includes Call of Duty). A recent leaked memo from Sharma attests that the company knows they have an affordability problem with Game Pass, as well.
