In today's Daily Fix:Leon S. Kennedy is now officially confirmed for Resident Evil: Requiem, but don't expect just a simple cameo from him. Capcom developers have clarified how much of the game will be from Leon's POV, and just like his first outing in RE2, it looks like about half the game will have you playing as him. The other half will be played out via Grace Ashcroft, but there's a very strong possibility you'll have at least one more character to play as. In other news, Clair Obscur almost had a clean sweep at last night's Game Awards, winning 9 awards across 11 different categories. As a thank-you to fans, developer Sandfall has made the upcoming DLC not only available right now, but it's totally FREE. And finally, take a peek at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort.Presented by Universal Orlando Resort. Editor's note: To clarify, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was nominated 13 times across 11 different categories, and won nine awards. IGN regrets any confusion.
In today's Daily Fix:Tonight is The Game Awards, and with it we can expect a deluge of new announcements and surprises. But a few surprises have already leaked onto the internet, including what look like the first images from the upcoming Tomb Raider remake. The remake will be a top-to-bottom retelling of the original game from 1996, but it will be set in the same continuity as the Tomb Raider Survivor trilogy that began in 2011. Another major leak is the reveal of the villain in the upcoming 007 First Light game. The villain, Bawma, will be played by Lenny Kravitz. And in other news, Helldivers 2 dev Arrowhead has teased a roguelite mode, but don't get your hopes up. It's still in its early stages and may never actually get released. And finally take a peak into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort.Presented by Universal Orlando Resort.
In today's Daily Fix:The Call of Duty dev team has issued a statement basically acknowledging Black Ops 7's shortcomings and promising to move off the back-to-back yearly release of mainline Call of Duty games. This comes as Black Ops 7 was met with middling reviews and apparently worse sales numbers in the face of stiff competition this year. EA's Battlefield 6 and Embark Studios' ARC Raiders both launched around the same time and were met with widespread acclaim. Black Ops 6 was released only last year, and Modern Warfares 2 and 3 were also released in back-to-back years, leading many fans to complain each entry did not feel or play substantially different from the previous year's. In other news, two new games are being added to December's PlayStation Plus lineup: Assassin's Creed Mirage and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. They join the recently-released skating game Skate Story.Presented by Universal Orlando Resort.
In today's Daily Fix:The latest leak for Ubisoft's still-unannounced Assassin's Creed Black Flag remake may have revealed the game's official title. Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced appeared on the PEGI ratings website, but has since been pulled, lending credence to the title's legitimacy. Ubisoft has yet to confirm its existence, but a previous financial results presentation teased an unannounced game for March 31, 2026. In other gaming leaks news, the PlayStation store may have revealed a major franchise character returning to Resident Evil. Art for Resident Evil Requiem features Leon S. Kennedy prominently along with new character Grace Ashcroft. Kennedy has not been featured in a mainline Resident Evil game since Resident Evil 6 back in 2012. Expect a proper reveal at The Game Awards later this week. And finally, take a peek into a four-park family vacation at Universal Orlando Resort.Presented by Universal Orlando Resort.
In today's Daily Fix:GameStop held its 'Trade Anything Day' promotional event where customers could come in with (almost) anything and get cash or store credit. GameStop shared with us some of the craziest trade-ins, such as a taxidermied bobcat, some McDonald's socks, and—get this— a Netflix Wii disc from way back when the Wii needed an authentication disc to stream content from the Netflix app. Did you try to trade anything in an GameStop? How much did you get for it? Let us know in the comments. In other news, fighting game legend Katsuhiro Harada is leaving Bandai Namco. Harada had been with the Tekken franchise for 30 years, working on each installment and directing Tekkens 3 through the recent Tekken 8. Harada has not yet said what he'll do next. And finally, take a peek into a family vacation at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort.Presented by Universal Orlando Resort.

Flight 46: Iconic former domestic and international planning and development executive for both Disney and Universal, Frank Stanek. When you view construction photos or videos of Epcot, Tokyo Disneyland, Universal Studios Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Japan and other major themed entertainment projects around the globe, the focus is typically on those crazy creative folks — not the guys in the suits. But the truth is that if it weren't for the guys in the suits who secured the site and the funding, strategically planned the project, and oversaw the budgets and schedules, those crazy creative folks wouldn't have anything to design or build! Frank Stanek is probably the most famous "suit" in our industry today, having worked for Walt and Roy Disney on the New York World's Fair and Mineral King before joining WED Enterprises to oversee business planning and development. He helped to create Walt Disney World, Epcot, Tokyo Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris before working directly with Michael Eisner and Frank Wells as the Walt Disney Company's first Corporate Vice President of Planning. After a stint with the Japanese firm Dentsu, Frank was recruited to MCA/Universal, where he became President of International Business Development and oversaw the Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Japan, and Universal projects in Spain, Korea, and China. Set your timepiece now and plan to join us as one of the themed entertainment industry's most storied planning and development execs shares his wisdom and tales from the trenches in what promises to be Zoomcast for the ages!
Join us on this episode as we discuss our visit to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, concluding our wrap-up of our time at Universal Orlando Resort!

In today's Daily Fix:The Walking Dead TV series had an impressive run with 11 seasons and more than 170 episodes. But even after that, plus six spin-off shows, executive producer Scott Gimple thinks there's still plenty of story to tell. Taking a cue from the France-set Daryl Dixon spin-off, the cast's core characters could find themselves all over the globe, with Gimple saying it could provide for 15 more years' worth of stories. In other news, Jar Jar Binks actor Ahmed Best is returning to the character in a one-shot comic. Star Wars: Jar Jar Binks will be co-written by Best, and will feature the character playing a pivotal role in the rebellion after Revenge of the Sith. And we've got a look at the thrills you can experience in The Isle of Berk at Universal Epic Universe.Presented by Universal Orlando Resort and its new theme park, Universal Epic Universe.
In today's Daily Fix:Disney's Tron: Ares is glitching at the box office. The Jared Leto-led movie pulled in $33.5 million at the domestic box office during its opening weekend, lower than Leto's 2022 flop Morbius, which earned $39 million domestic in its opening weekend. Globally, Tron: Ares sits at just over $60 million, and faces a steep climb to earn back its $180 million production budget. In other movie news, Channing Tatum says his solo Gambit movie was a little too much for Disney. The movie was going to be an R-rated rom-com andwould've featured "mutants having sex." Gambit was stuck in development hell and eventually dropped, but Tatum was able to finally put on the Cajun accent for Deadpool & Wolverine. Tatum is also featured in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. And take a peek into a four-park family vacation at Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, Universal Volcano Bay, and the newest park, Universal Epic Universe.Presented by Universal Orlando Resort.

In today's Daily Fix:James Gunn recently admitted he wanted to add a Deadpool cameo in Peacemaker's Season 2 finale. Ryan Reynolds was apparently on board, but Gunn knew getting the okay from both Warner Bros. and Marvel/Disney would've been too big of a legal hurdle. Gunn has big plans for Peacemaker outside of his HBO show, with the DCU expanding next year with Supergirl, the Lanterns series, and the Clayface film. In other news, Warner Bros. has set a date for the Minecraft movie sequel. It's expected in July of 2027, and director Jared Hess is expected to return along with most of the cast. And finally, join the stars of the live-action How to Train Your Dragon as they explore the new Isle of Berk in Universal Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resort.Presented by Universal Orlando Resort and its new theme park, Universal Epic Universe.

In today's Daily Fix:A Simpsons-themed mini-season event could be coming to Fortnite, with rumors fueled by the appearance of a Simpsons cosmetic in the game. Kang and Kodos, the two tentacled aliens that pop up in The Simpsons' Treehouse of Terror episodes, have been spotted on a Fortnite glider. Currently, Fortnite is doing their annual Halloween event, but with the game already partnered with other Disney-owned properties like Family Guy and Star Wars, a Simpsons collab makes sense. In other news, HBO Max has dropped the first trailer for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. It's an adaptation of the novella series set in the Game of Thrones universe but before the events of the main series. It features a hedge knight named Ser Duncal the Tall and his squire, a little boy named Egg. If you know your Thrones lore, you know that the two go on to become legends in the "present-day" Thrones stories. And finally, take a peek into a four-park family vacation at Universal Orlando Resort where one lucky family got to enjoy all things Jurassic!Presented by Universal Orlando Resort.
In today's Daily Fix:The sequel to Michael Mann's 1995 crime epic, Heat, is slowly coming together at Amazon MGM after the company bought the rights from Warner Bros. Mann already wrote Heat 2 in novel form back in 2022, with writer Meg Gardiner, so the plan is to adapt the book into movie form. Heat famously brought together Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro in a movie where they would finally share scenes, after the two already became Hollywood legends throughout the 1970s and 80s. Rumor has it that Leonardo DiCaprio is circling the role played by Val Kilmer in the original movie. In other news, the Hulu-exclusive Predator prequel, Prey, might finally get a theatrical release. AMC Theaters may be holding double-feature screenings this November, pairing it with the upcoming sequel, Predator: Badlands. And finally, journey to The Isle of Berk at Universal Epic Universe, and its brand-new ride - Hiccup's Wing Gliders.Presented by Universal Orlando Resort and its new theme park, Universal Epic Universe.

We're nearing the halfway point of Halloween Horror Nights 34 in Orlando. So, what better time to give our updated rankings? In other news, Donkey Kong Bananza's somewhat controversial control scheme came at the suggestion of Donkey Kong creator Shigeru Miyamoto. Bananza's game director, Kazuya Takahashi, revealed that it was Miyamoto's idea, but they left the option to swap the 'punch down' and 'jump' buttons in case players had a hard time re-wiring their muscle memory.
