On this episode, TDZ steps off the course and into the heart of the Copper Canyons with the Korima Health Initiative. Founded with a mission to bring essential healthcare and education to the Indigenous Rarámuri people of northern Mexico, Korima is powered in part by a unique crew of volunteers—many of whom are also adventure racers. Just as they navigate wild terrain and unpredictable conditions in their athletic pursuits, these racers bring their endurance, teamwork, and grit to the challenges of remote medical work. The connection is clear: in both arenas, success demands resilience, teamwork, and a deep commitment to service. We talk with those who've swapped trekking poles for stethoscopes and headlamps for tongue depressors. Tune in as The Dark Zone explores how the spirit of adventure racing fuels a mission of healing and hope.Thank you for listening. This episode of The Dark Zone explores a creative partnership between a college classroom and the course. Students from Washington and Lee University's Leading Public Relations Campaigns class teamed up with Adventure Addicts Racing to support the Adrenaline Rush Adventure Race. As part of their coursework, students developed and implemented real-world media strategies to promote the event, offering a fresh perspective on how adventure racing is experienced, marketed, and understood.Throughout the project, the students gained knowledge of communication, storytelling, and the unique culture of AR. But they didn't stop there, students also came away with practical recommendations for race directors looking to grow the sport and better engage new audiences. It's a compelling conversation about where adventure racing is today and where it could go tomorrow.Thank you for listening. Team Bones joins TDZ fresh off their 115-hour epic at Raid Bimbache in Morocco. From battling illness and chasing down runaway maps to staying strong and supportive as a team, they trekked (and biked... and paddled...) through it all together. Sleep-deprived and still processing their experience, they still made time to bring us their story. Thank you to Roy, Jen, James, and Jesse for sharing their story with us. As with all Flash Episodes, what you hear is what you get as we record and release with no edits to save time. There's a bit of fuzz here and there due to shaky WiFi, but nothing that takes away from the power of their experience. Episode 125 feels like a milestone, and we're grateful to Team Bones for helping us mark it in style.Remember - You Keep Racing, and We'll Keep Talking! What do type A lawyers, podcast editing, sweet delusion, and four different recording cities have in common? Kyla Denanyoh. In this solo episode, Kyla celebrates her 10-year law school graduation anniversary and the 5-year milestone of the You Are A Lawyer podcast by sharing 10 things you (probably) didn't know about her. From launching a podcast with no experience to accidentally becoming a manager again, this is a personal, honest, and very Kyla conversation about risk, creativity, and the joy of just talking.Lawyer Side HustlesYou Are A Lawyer started as a passion project and quickly became Kyla's side hustle. Then it became a business. Now, she runs podcast editing services, offers LinkedIn strategy and social media support, and works exclusively with business owners and creatives who are building something worth talking about.“I work with business owners... You are an author, you're selling books, you are trying to get monetized... Sharing your story will just boost everything else,” shares Kyla Denanyoh in Episode 190 of You Are a Lawyer. And yes—she loves editing. She talks about it like writing a letter, like storytelling with scissors. She's not afraid to slice up an audio file, reframe a conversation, or make something clearer. That's where her creativity shines. And that's what keeps this podcast growing, season after season.LISTEN TO LEARNWhy risk-taking gets easier with practice (and why Kyla actually enjoys it now)What she never expected to do—but is doing anyway (hint: managing a team, editing audio, running a business…)How her love of words led her to create a podcast that's now in its 13th seasonWE ALSO DISCUSSWhy she only edits podcasts for business owners (and why it's a hell yes)How delusion, when used correctly, is a strategyThe surprising ways creativity shows up—even when you're a “classically trained lawyer”Join the FREE mailing list!Get behind-the-scenes content from You Are A Lawyer. 1) Visit www.youarealawyer.com2) Add your email address to the Subscribe pop-up box OR3) Enter your email address on the right side of the screen4) Get emails from me (I won't fill your inbox with junk)!Interact with You Are A LawyerKyla Denanyoh hosts the You Are A Lawyer podcast. We open the show with a Friday favorite, a nod to Tara Bull's Top 10 news stories the Legacy/mainstream media didn't cover this week or did a terrible job if they did. We move straight into Democrats admitting they are sending paid agitators to invade GOP town halls. It's not really news at this point. Former Representative Jamaal Bowman might be in some legal hot-water after declaring Elon Musk is a “thief” and a “Nazi.” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) released a video claiming the elimination of the Dept. of Education means the end of public school. In fact, it is the opposite, as Donald Trump attests. However, head of the union, Randi Weingarten is busy taking gaslighting to a brand new level, telling us she wanted schools to reopen in April of 2020. To show you an example of the legal corruption that exists in the Federal government, we turn to an example the Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service. People were paid to do nearly nothing, while they expensed everything and lived like kings. That's what we are up against. An IRS member of DOGE gave an example of how much waste and bloat exists in just the area of IT. I'm fine with the Communist Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-CT) and the pro-Hamas/pro-Terrorist squad member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) wanting to be the face and the message of the DNC. Add them to the village idiot, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) and Republicans won't have to say much by the time the mid-terms approach. It seems there is an exclusive club for judges in D.C. Most of the Trump-hating, lawfare judges are involved. So, too, is Chief Justice John Roberts. Now, what do you know about that? Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) is stoking fear, fakery and foolishness with a claim that DOGE was shutting down five field offices in Georgia. So, we do our part to correct him. On a similar note, Gov. Gavin Newsome (D-CA) declared on a podcast that he and his team never used the term “LatinX,” yet CNN called him out and played a montage of him using the phrase repeatedly. Finally, in the FAFO category, the Gov. Janet Mills (D-ME), who said she would keep men in girls' sports and would see Trump in court over it, managed to last less than three weeks. After federal funds were shut off to Maine, they have caved. Please take a moment to rate and review the show and then share the episode on social media. You can find me on Facebook, X, Instagram, GETTR and TRUTH Social by searching for The Alan Sanders Show. And, consider becoming a sponsor of the show by visiting my Patreon page!!

I showed up with a whole list to talk to Eddie about…including recapping the SNL 50th anniversary. Because duh. And Eddie also came rolling in asking for forgiveness about something he did and you're going to love this story. We don't track humor-based metrics at The Dark Zone, but if we did, this episode would be tough to beat. Barb Campbell is a fixture in the Canadian adventure racing community, and we're delighted to finally have her on the show. Welcome to Multiverse News, Your source for Information about all your favorite fictional universes Marvel finally gave us our first official look at The Fantastic Four: First Steps with the release of the teaser trailer during a special launch event Tuesday morning, for which The First Family's cast itself was on hand to present AND WHAT A TRAILER IT WAS…Marvel led the drop with a space race-esque countdown in theme with the film's 1960s aesthetic. We met all of the four main characters and even saw a glimpse of the biggest bad of all…Galactus. Last week we reported on Doctor Strange actor Benedict Cumberbatch's statements about officially not being a part of Avengers: Doomsday. The very next day the actor recanted his claims in an interview with Business Insider, saying, "I got that wrong, I am in the next one,” adding, "Don't ever believe anything I say." Elsewhere, Chris Evans had a record of his own to set straight, denying the many reports that he has been cast to return in Doomsday while speaking with Esquire, claiming, “That's not true, though. This always happens. I mean, it happens every couple years — ever since Endgame. I've just stopped responding to it. Yeah, no — happily retired!” Finally, in an interview on Andy Cohen Live, the legendary Patti LuPone may have shed some light on the future of Disney Plus series WandaVision and Agatha All Along, saying showrunner Jac Schaeffer told her she doesn't do second seasons. Sunday's Super Bowl LIX, where the Kansas City Chiefs will defend their title against the Philadelphia Eagles, is bound to bring a bevy of trailers for movies and series in tow, but let's talk about what exactly is confirmed, expected, predicted, and everything in between: only three motion picture studios have been willing to invest the substantial sum of $7.5 to $8 million for a single 30-second commercial spot: Disney, Paramount, and Universal. Disney plans to showcase trailers for several anticipated films, including the live-action remake of Snow White, the animated feature Lilo & Stitch, the original animated film Elio, and upcoming Marvel entries such as Thunderbolts*. Paramount is expected to promote its diverse lineup, which includes the Jack Quaid-led action film Novocaine, a musical Smurfs movie featuring Rihanna, and the latest installment in the Mission Impossible franchise, Final Reckoning. Universal may reveal trailers for How To Train Your Dragon, the horror sequel M3GAN 2.0, and Jurassic World Rebirth. Notably absent is Warner Bros and DC Studios. Actor-director Benny Safdie will join Christopher Nolan's upcoming film The Odyssey, following his role as Edward Teller in Oppenheimer. Recent cast additions include Elliot Page, Himesh Patel, Bill Irwin, and Samantha Morton. Netflix is developing a new Little House on the Prairie series, 40 years after NBC's original adaptation, this time with Rebecca Sonnenshine of The Vampire Diaries and The Boys as showrunner. Jake Gyllenhaal will star in M. Night Shyamalan's upcoming supernatural romantic thriller, which Shyamalan and Nicholas Sparks are collaboratively developing as both a film screenplay and a novel. Sony Pictures has set a release date of August 29th for Darren Aronofsky‘s Austin Butler-led feature Caught Stealing. The film that previously held that date, the sixth film in the Insidious franchise, has moved back a year to Aug. 21, 2026. Robert Eggers has closed a deal to write and direct a new Labyrinth film for TriStar Pictures. Plot details are under wraps, but sources tell Deadine that the film is a sequel to, rather than a remake of, Jim Henson's 1986 classic.

Today on the show, I get to keep talking with your pal and mine, Eddie Kaufholz. He needs no introduction around here, but do we cover the hard-hitting questions like does a snowman count as Christmas decorations or can they be part of just general winter decorations? We also talk a little bit about my new kids book coming out on grief and loss that I wrote with my sister, Tatum Green. You can find more info and preorder that here: Where Did TJ Go? If you're following along in the TSF Seasons Guidebook, there are no note-taking pages for this one BECAUSE WHY WOULD YOU NEED TO DOCUMENT THIS NONSENSE. But.
