In today's Daily Fix:Xbox launched a new feedback system called Player Voice, and fans immediately used it to demand a return of gaming exclusives. They argue that putting Xbox IP on other platforms like PlayStation hurts the Xbox brand. On the flip side, Xbox did make a ton of money porting games like Forza Horizon 5 onto PS5, and they still have deals to deliver more games to Switch 2 and PS5. In related Xbox news, the Game Pass Wave 2 games for May have been revealed, and while the big one is already available (Forza Horizon 6), there's still plenty of other titles coming. And finally, Fortnite is returning the iOS after a years-long absence.

In today's Daily Fix:Sony is raising prices yet again—this time to PlayStation Plus. The gaming subscription service will go up to $10.99 for a one-month subscription, and $27.99 for a three-month sub. Many are even questioning why a subscription is even necessary to play online games. In other news, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma has revealed the latest change to the brand, this time from 'Xbox' to 'XBOX' (note the all-caps). In today's Daily Fix:Subnautica 2 is already a hit in Early Access, selling 2 million copies in one day. In other news, LEGO 2K Drive is being delisted after only being available for three years. The fun little racing game earned solid reviews, and publisher 2K games has not revealed why it's being removed from digital storefronts. Multiplayer will continue to work until sometime next year. And finally, the former director of Star Wars: The Old Republic spilled some tea on a cancelled reboot of the game, which originally would have been set in the New Republic era of Star Wars.

In today's Daily Fix:A reported Grand Theft Auto 6 leak from Best Buy suggests the game will go up for pre-order this Monday, and that suggests a new trailer could be dropping very soon. Several gaming influencers have reportedly received an email with details about a GTA 6 pre-order date at Best Buy. It would make sense to pair the official announcement with a GTA 6 Trailer 3, but no announcement has been made by Best Buy or developer Rockstar Games. The last trailer debuted a little over a year ago. In other leak news, prominent Ubisoft leaker j0nathan claims he has revealed the first image from Assassin's Creed Hexe, along with a few details about the game's characters. And finally, director Matt Reeves has confirmed Scarlett Johansson has joined the cast of The Batman — Part 2, but has not revealed the character she'll play. And as part of IGN's 30th anniversary celebration, we're giving away 30 free IGN Live tickets a day. In today's Daily Fix:Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic could still be years away from release, but that hasn't stopped the internet from speculating how long the game will be. Director Casey Hudson is aware that many gamers don't want a 300-hour experience, and hinted that it will be in line with his work on the Mass Effect games. He also said that he typically doesn't work on games for more than 4 years, if that's any indication of when we'll see more of FOTOR. In other news, the recent Silent Hill games may be a turning point for the franchise, with both the Silent Hill 2 remake and Silent Hill f selling well. In today's Daily Fix:The upcoming launch of Forza Horizon 6 suffered a setback last weekend when the game was leaked onto piracy websites. Now developer Playground Games is going after anyone caught streaming it, and they're making good on their threats. An unidentified YouTuber streamed the game, with their gamertag visible, and was hit with a hardware ban until December 31, 9999, a ban of nearly 8,000 years. That same pirate then used a different account to stream the game ahead, and said they weren't worried about any sort of ban. In other news, eBay has rejected GameStop's offer to buy the company for $56 billion. GameStop's CEO Ryan Cohen apparently isn't helping his company's case by going to CNBC and refusing to give a straight answer about where GameStop will even get fifty-six billion dollars. And finally, Dead Space's producer doesn't think a new game in the franchise will happen.

In today's Daily Fix:Forza Horizon 6 was accidentally made available much earlier than announced, when unencrypted Steam preload files were uploaded over the weekend. Steam games are uploaded to the service via encrypted files that customers can preload via preordering. Steam then unencrypts the files to make the game playable at the announced release date and time. But in Forza Horizon 6's case, the files went up unencrypted, which quickly made their way to piracy sites. Microsoft has since been plugging the leak by going after anyone trying to livestream the game ahead of release. In other news, Stellar Blade 2 will be self-published by developer ShiftUp, and they've left the door open for a multiplatform release. The first Stellar Blade is a PS5 exclusive, but the new deal could mean it will make its way to Switch 2 and Xbox. And finally, Nintendo has confirmed they still have unannounced games coming this year. This comes amid the company's falling stock value, even after announcing a Switch 2 price hike, reportedly at the behest of shareholders.

In today's Daily Fix:Earlier this week reports have suggested that Nintendo's shareholders want the company to raise the price of the Switch 2. Looks like Nintendo has listened, and the console will go up in price by about $50 worldwide, although the U.S. has until September until the new prices takes effect. Despite strong sales, the global RAM shortage, tariffs, and new military conflicts have done a number on the games and tech industries, with Xbox and PlayStation having already raised their hardware prices several times. In related news, Sony has revealed they're taking a $765 impairment loss on Bungee following the launch of Marathon. The title reportedly has a budget of around $200 million, and looks to have a long road ahead before profitability. And finally, Resident Evil Requiem shadow-dropped new DLC last night: Leon Must Die Forever, an action-oriented minigame with roguelike elements starring Leon S. Kennedy. Capcom has teased more DLC to come.

In today's Daily Fix:In an interview with Game File, Take-Two's CEO, Strauss Zelnick, expressed his disappointment with all the BioShock 4 delays, but he isn't surprised by them. In other news, Xbox's CEO Asha Sharma has revealed a new Xbox bootup sound and animation, and it should make longtime fans happy. It's the latest, albeit small, change Sharma has made since taking the reins at Xbox, including making significant changes to Game Pass. And in related news, Asha Sharma is also aware Xbox has an exclusivity problem. Xbox has plenty of first-party titles, but under previous CEO Phil Spener, nearly all of their exclusives were to make their way to PlayStation 5 and Switch/Switch 2. That could change if Sharma decides to shift strategy.

In today's Daily Fix:Nintendo is facing pressure form their own shareholders to raise the price of the Switch 2. Despite a massively successful launch and strong, but slow, holiday sales, Nintendo is taking a loss on each Switch 2 sold, and the company's stock price has suffered as a result. Shareholders want Nintendo to follow Sony and Microsoft, who have also raised prices on their hardware in response to ongoing economic uncertainty worldwide. In GTA news, analysts are suggesting that GTA 6 could be the most expensive video game ever made, with an astronical price tag as a result of years of development. And finally, Ubisoft and a leaker trade words on social media over an AI-doctored screenshot.

In today's Daily Fix:A Bank of America analyst thinkgs Grand Theft Auto 6 should retail for $80, if only to help justify the high pricepoint for other games. Bank of America's Omar Dessouky thinks other game companies would have a difficult time justifying $80 for games, at a time in the industry where games are struggling to make their development budgets back and a higher pricepoint would help alleviate some of the struggle. In related GTA 6 news, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick commented on why there's no PC port of the game at launch, and it's because their core audience is on console. Like previous GTAs, GTA 6 is expected to come to PC eventually. And finally, former Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime explained what happened with the Wii U, blaming the failure on a slow release schedule of first-party exclusives.

In today's Daily Fix:GameStop has announced its intentions to buy auction site eBay for $55.5 billion. The company intends to integrate eBay's business into GameStop's brick-and-mortar operations. And speaking of Resident Evil, a modder has added RE4's Merchant into Requiem.

In today's Daily Fix:The Mandalorian and Grogu is tracking to break a record set by Solo: A Star Wars Story, but that's not technically good news. Mando and Grogu could open to a Disney-era low of $80 million over the Memorial Day weekend. Solo, the spinoff about everyone's favorite spice smuggler, opened to around $84 million over the same weekend back in 2018. But if there's a silver lining, The Mandalorian and Grogu cost almost half of what Solo cost to make. In other news, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick confirmed recently that Grand Theft Auto 6 will NOT include real-world product placement, in keeping with the franchise's theme of using fake products.Presented by SAROS. The update will also launch with three new game modes: Star Wars: Galactic Siege, which is a take on capture the flag; Star Wars: Droid Tycoon, a tycoon-inspired game; and Star Wars: Escape Vader, with Alien Isolation and Dead by Daylight gameplay, but with Darth Vader. Speaking of Star Wars, a very high-tech (and very expensive) life-sized Grogu animatronic is up for pre-order, and pretty much acts the way Grogu would in real-life. If you have a cool $600 lying around, you should reserve one now before they're all gone. And a look at SAROS's Eclipse Mechanic and gameplay.Presented by SAROS. Rated T for Teen #ad

In today's Daily Fix:Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick addressed rumors that Grand Theft Auto VI will sell for well over the standard $70. While he didn't give an actual, he did say that their goal is to sell it for "way way way less" than the value delivery. So hopefully they don't break the mold with pricing, but let's be real, it'll sell well regardless of the price. In other news, Sony has confirmed their PlayStation Plus games for May 2026, and soulslike Wuchang: Fallen Feathers leads the charge, along with EA Sports FC 26 and indie action game Nine Sols. And we have a preview at SAROS's Second Chance mechanic.Presented by SAROS. Rated T for Teen #ad

But Universal recently udpated their release schedule, and there's an unannounced Nintendo/Illumination animated movie scheduled for April of 2028. This might be Super Mario Bros. 3, but 2028 could be too soon, or this could be the Donkey Kong spinoff starring Seth Rogen. Let us know your theories in the comments. Plus there's new Resident Evil DLC dropping next month, and a glimpse into the mysterious story you'll discover in Housemarque's SAROS. Presented by SAROS. Rated T for Teen #ad

Officially titled Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced, this is a single-player-focused game that does not include the Freedom Cry DLC or the multiplayer component of the original. But it does feature new crewmates, a refined combat system, and parkour movement more akin to recent AC games like Shadows. This follows last week's leaked memo from Xbox CEO Asha Sharma, who told the Xbox team that Game Pass was too expensive. However, the Ultimate tier is losing Call of Duty as a day-one release, so future Call of Duty games will not appear on the service until about a year after their debut. In related news, Game Pass games for April and May have been announced, with the next iteration of Vampire Survivors leading the pack. And Capcom is having another very good year, with new release Pragmata selling a million copies in just two days. This follows Resident Evil Requiem, which has sold 6 million copies since its February debut.

The movie will be out in theaters March 3, 2028, and will feature Nick Offerman, Havana Rose Liu, Jonathan Pryce, Peter Serafinowicz, Cailee Spaeny, and others. It will have a budget of "well over $100 million," making it studio auteur studio A24's biggest movie to date.
