Eurovision celebrates 70 whereas Lordi celebrated 20 years after the Eurovision Victory and he did that in Vienna with his supporting monsters being part of the brilliant Interval Act in the Grand Final of Eurovision 2026. JP had the big pleasure to interview Lordi once again after 20 years in Athens. Listen to this chat on the show this week. Lordi delivered some great news in regards with Johnny Logan, who won Eurovision in 1980 and 1987 for Ireland as singer and in 1992 as songwriter.   Kristian Kostov (Bulgaria 2017) in Vienna at Eurovision 2026 Interview with Kristian Kostov (Bulgaria 2027):  The best-ever result of Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest was until 2025 the entry from Kristian Kostov who in 2017 reached second place with the song "Beautiful Mess". Portugal had won that particular Eurovision Song Contest with Salvador Sobral and the song "Amar pelos dois".  Kristian was in Vienna at the Eurovision Song Contest as being part of the 70 year celebration of the Eurovision Song Contest and performed as part of the interval act bring luck to Dara as she won the 70th Eurovision Song Contest for Bulgaria with the song "Bangaranga".  JP had the pleasure of an update interview with Kristian in the Media Centre of Eurovision 2026 which you can hear on this week's edition of Radio International.   Monroe (France 2026)   Interview with Monroe (France 2026):  During the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 the newest member of the Radio International Team, Johannes, went to the French Embassy to interview the Musical Ambassador to France and the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 - Monroe. She performed the song "Regarde" which ranked 11th in the Grand Final at the end of the voting sequence. Dermot Manning is starting the brand new series and will explain the Rules of the Game. :)       Kirsti Sparboe (Norway 1965, 1967 and 1969) Tribute to Kirsti Sparboe (Norway 1965,1967, 1969): Late last week the Eurovision Community learned that one of Norway's Eurovision entrant has passed away at the age of 79. Kirsti Sparboe represented Norway not one, not twice but three times in the 60s. In 1965 she reached 13th with the song "Karusell", then in 1967 almost won the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria with the song "Dukkermann" coming 2nd. In 1969 she returned with the song "Oj,oj,oj,sa glad jeg skal bli" coming 16th. Kirsti Sparboe passed away on 19 Jun 2026. Radio International has prepared a special tribute to Kirsti. Quando os NAPA ganharam o Festival da Canção, em 2025, a vitória não foi consensual - "Deslocado" ficou em quarto lugar na votação do júri e em segundo no televoto. Na Eurovisão, foram arrasados nas casas de apostas, que colocavam a banda na zona de eliminação, muitas vezes no penúltimo ou último lugar da primeira semifinal. Ainda assim, os madeirenses contrariaram as previsões, passaram à final e arrecadaram o 21.º lugar. Mas o que ninguém imaginava na altura é que a história da canção ainda estava no início: meses depois, se contasse o número de audições no Spotify, "Deslocado" teria arrecadado o segundo lugar no festival. Hoje, a canção soma mais de 100 milhões de audições no Spotify, tornou-se a música portuguesa mais ouvida de sempre na plataforma, até à semana passada tinha o triplo das audições de "Amar pelos Dois" (entretanto retirada da plataforma por Salvador Sobral) e circula nas redes muito para lá do contexto da Eurovisão. No TikTok, “Deslocado” é usada em vídeos sobre saudade, casa e distância - em português e noutras línguas. A canção chegou ao top das músicas virais no Spotify Brasil e passou a ser ouvida em cidades como São Paulo ou Jacarta. Mas a canção dos NAPA nunca foi pensada para funcionar nas redes. “Deslocado” não é curta, não é repetitiva, não tem um momento viral óbvio. Pelo contrário, tem uma estrutura pouco convencional e uma progressão quase narrativa. “Na teoria, esta música não devia funcionar”, resume o produtor Ben Monteiro. O que explica, então, o enorme sucesso que a canção teve e continua a ter? KAJ won Melodifestivalen 2025 and represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel coming 4th. Miriana successfully placed Malta in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest ranking 17th at the end of the voting sequence. Sete anos depois, “com menos 25 quilos e com outro coração, o músico Salvador Sobral regressa ao Alta Definição para conversar com Daniel Oliveira. A vida do músico alterou-se, principalmente desde 2017. "Parece um ano louco. A Eurovisão mudou a minha vida para sempre e o transplante de coração obviamente também", recorda o cantor. O artista confessa que não se reconhecia ao espelho antes da operação, mas com o tempo, a pouco e pouco, conseguiu recuperar a imagem em que se reconhecia. "Lembro-me de acordar da operação e não querer acordar, querer morrer, porque é uma agonia pura. Pode acontecer-me tudo na vida, os concertos mais stressantes, pode cair um piano em cima de mim, que eu acho que nunca vou sentir a dor que senti no pós-operatório", relembra Salvador Sobral. Apesar de reconhecer que terá um lugar na história por ter vencido a Eurovisão, ambiciona ser "considerado um intérprete importante no nosso país" e acredita que "isso ainda não está atingido."
