Reviews are out of the new Lotus Eletre, the brand's first electric SUV. The interior has a 15” central touchscreen, and a range of up to 373 miles from the 112kWh battery.  It comes with a dual motor drivetrain, and three versions: base, S, and R, with increasing power outputs. Starts from £105,000, weighs from 2,520kg which makes some people say it's not a pure Lotus. 0-62mph in 2.9seconds. Audi is considering purchasing an electric car platform from a Chinese competitor due to delays with its own SSP platform. The move aims to continue delivering electric vehicles while waiting for VW's Trinity platform. Audi is in talks with manufacturers, although no specific details are mentioned. Audi's has also emphasised the need for faster localization in the Chinese market. While Audi focuses on local research, development, and market understanding, speeding up the localization process is necessary to keep up with the rapidly changing market conditions. Tesla sold a record 93,680 vehicles made in China in June 2023. The Model Y was the best performer, with 63,043 units sold. Tesla also exported 19,468 vehicles made in Shanghai to overseas markets. In the first half of the year, Tesla sold a total of 476,539 vehicles made in China, a significant increase from the previous year. Tesla has updated its US referral program to increase sales of the Model 3 and Model Y. Referred buyers now receive a $500 discount and three months of free Full-Self Driving (FSD). Referrers earn Tesla credit points for Supercharging or accessories. The update aims to sell "old" Model 3 and Model Y units before the release of facelifted versions. Fisker has experienced a slow production ramp-up of its Ocean electric SUV due to supplier issues. In Q2 2023, only 1,022 Oceans were produced, and deliveries started six months later than planned. Fisker is working with suppliers to increase volumes and plans to invest in additional battery-pack capacity. SAIC Motor, China's largest automaker, is planning to build an EV factory in Europe as part of its overseas expansion strategy. The company is seeking a site in Europe but hasn't provided specific details. SAIC sold 530,000 vehicles overseas in Q1 2023, a 40% increase from the previous year. French Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire is hopeful about Tesla making a significant investment in France. France has created favorable conditions for investment, and the government has been actively pursuing opportunities with Tesla. France aims to offer viable land with sufficient power infrastructure for a potential Tesla factory. The China Association of Auto Manufacturers (CAAM) has withdrawn a pricing pledge among 16 automakers, ending a temporary ceasefire in the EV price war in China. The pledge was seen as a violation of antitrust law. Automakers have been cutting prices to stimulate demand, and the pricing war is expected to continue as the EV market grows. General Motors (GM) has reduced the starting price of the Cadillac Lyriq EV in China by nearly 14% following price cuts by Volkswagen. The Lyriq is based on GM's Ultium EV architecture and is now priced at 379,700 yuan. GM hopes to increase sales of the Lyriq in China. The Little Car Company in the UK is creating a full-sized, drivable version of the Tamiya Wild One RC car from the 1980s. Named the Wild One Max, it can reach speeds of up to 62 mph and will be street legal in Europe. It will weigh approximately 1100 pounds and be priced around $45,000. Renault's Global Production Engineering Center in France operates a prototype plant to develop representative prototypes of future Renault models. The facility is currently producing prototypes of the all-electric Renault 5, starting with "mules" tested in Lapland. It allows for testing, validation, and refinement of the design with support from Technocentre experts.

Examples of Non-Professional Referrers who can have your business cards, clinic info brochures and help raise awareness of your practice include:  - Shoe stores  - Sport stores  - Pharmacies - Gyms - Massage Therapists - Health food stores Don't limit yourself to the obvious - think outside the box. - Real Estate offices (new people moving to town) - Hotel & Motels (be added to their directories)  - Legal and Financial businesses (Referrals and paid talks) - Coffee Shops: Big Opportunity - 1) Sponsor Coffee, 2) Voucher for patients.Treat them as well as your professional referrers - Add them to your database - Send them your newsletter - Give them bottles of wine - Invite them to lunch, dinners, info evenings Important to note with shoe stores - More than likely they already work with another podiatrist in the area, so don't immediately give them bundles of business cards, brochures etc. until you establish a bit more of a relationship.  - Don't be afraid to ask them, "who do you currently refer to" - If they say no one, OFFER in-house training, etc.  - If they decline, more than likely to do work with a podiatrist already.Most importantly, these relationships need to be reciprocal, not just one-way traffic. I’m not a grinch by writing that heading and for those that know me, I’m one of the most generous and grateful people going around. The real challenge is though, sending generic Xmas gifts to referrers does not achieve anything. Considering everyone feels its an obligation and you just paint yourself as one of another sheep in the flock, there’s no reason to do it in the first place. Unless your doing it to express gratitude and thanks to which it doesn’t actually do that anyway. Rather than trying to explain it in writing just here, click the ‘Play’ button and see how you shouldn’t send Xmas gifts to your referrers and why it’s actually one of the worst things you can do and it doesn’t help your business.

Why the heck would I say that at this time of year? Right before the Xmas festivities really kick off? Simply put, when it comes to health business, gifts and Xmas… nothing says insincerity and places you firmly in the collective of doing the same as everyone else, like taking a token gift to your referrers… For years now, I’ve not bought referrers gifts at Xmas. And I show my clients why they shouldn’t either. And the results and benefits are stunningly positive. If you really want to improve your referral relationships and show gratitude to them, then buying a token bottle of wine at Xmas time, is not how to do it. It doesn’t even enable the generosity of Xmas to be felt by them. What is a professional referrer? A professional referrer is industry specific, meaning it is a referral that comes from someone else in your specific industry. For example, in the health industry a Physiotherapist may receive a referral from a GP or Podiatrist, an Accountant may receive a referral from a Financial Planner or Bank Manager, and a Plumber may receive referrals from a Carpenter.  When you receive referrals, it's important to nurture them by maintaining regular contact because a referral you receive today could be gone tomorrow, but it's not always your fault.  If you're an Accountant and you've been receiving referrals from a Lawyer for years, and then suddenly they stop, there could be reasons out of your control: A family member has set up an accounting practice A new Accountant has come to town and has done a better job than you at maintaining contact More often than not referrals are lost because you take them for granted, so here are a few tips to help nurture your professional referrers.  Top Ten Professional Referrer Tips Personal Visits: Go and see them one-on-one so they can put a face to a name. When was the last time you did this? Say Thank you: After your visit, thank them for their time and when you receive a referral always acknowledge it and once again thank them for trusting you.   Send Emails: An email is great to use because it's fast and you can share information with ease.  Email Newsletters: Just make sure your newsletters are not boring and all about you. It will be noticed.  The Golden Goose: The Practice or Business Manager of any business is the golden goose. Look after them, and they will open doors for you.  Third Party Events: You can use another organisations event and use it yourself to market your business and build relationships. (e.g., Golf Day) Acknowledge Significant Days: Everyone sends cards and gifts over Christmas, and because there are so many, yours will be lost. Save your money and celebrate other days throughout the year.  Information Evenings: Let them know what it is you do. Don't keep it a secret.  Scan The Local Paper: Look for new businesses opening in your area and be the first to make contact with them.  If you apply these ten tips your relationships with your professional referrers will improve.
