Andy talks about a new product he has been looking at from LaView, the LV2 allows it to be plugged/screwed into a light socket, on board is a camera which delivers 2k quality with Night Vision and the ability to control via an app. The Camera can also rotate 360 and tilt and pan as well and sells for under 50 bucks. Justin and Andy talk about their experience in the past with the Ring Video Doorbell and hopefully it's better and Justin switched to the Nest Doorbell and tells us about the experience. Shawn tells us about the latest drone from DJI - The DJI Mini 2 SE which is less expensive and could be a great steppingstone towards more expensive and feature filled Drones. Andy talks about appearing on 13News and Fox 11 discussing parent supervision and unauthorized purchases the kids could make. Justin tells us the story of how he dealt with this. Shawn shares with us how he would but turns out getting some parent advice from Andy and Justin in his choice of play toys. Andy finally deletes Toon Blast from hisphone and tablet and the guys talk about why in game purchases can be very expensive. When it is released to a wider audience, it will cost $299.99. Amazon Smart Thermostat   Amazon announced a new Smart Thermostat that works with Alexa, which it made in partnership with Resideo, the makers of Honeywell Home. It will cost $59.99, and preorders open Tuesday. Hey Disney Virtual Assistant built on Alexa  31:54 Amazon and Disney announced a new voice assistant called “Hey Disney,” which is built on Alexa. It offers a lot of Disney-themed Alexa experiences, and it will also be available in Walt Disney World Resort hotel rooms for better hospitality. The “Hey Disney” assistant is “expected next year,” though it's a paid skill unless you are staying at one of the resorts. There's also a new Mickey Mouse-themed Echo Show 5 stand, which is available to preorder Tuesday for $24.99. Ring's Always Home Cam Drone  32:07 Last year, Amazon revealed the Always Home Cam, which puts a Ring camera on a drone. If you're interested in getting one, you can apply for an invite starting Tuesday. The drone costs $249.99. In this Weeks TechtalkRadio Show, Andy Taylor, Justin Shawn DeWeerd and John Broadway, open the show with a talk about Andy's Air Conditioning going out. The guys talk about how technology has become a part of the Air Conditioning systems and controlling it with the Nest Thermostat. Shawn talks about the upcoming Wyze Thermostat. Monitoring with video is also discussed and while the guys haven't been happy with the Ring Video Doorbell system Andy has been talking about the Nest Cameras he has on his garage and how he caught a bird dive into his parked vehicle and knock himself out. Shawn mentions the Wyze Doorbell Camera, yet Justin wonders how it is possible. Justin wonders if there is a correlation to Tik Toc to provide data. Shawn tells us however about the background of Wyze and why they are rooted from former engineers from Amazon that wanted to provide technology at an affordable price. The guys talk about the reasons they liked and disliked Tik Toc. The guys talk about Podcast and how the length of time in those shows has increased to almost 2 hours. Andy gives props to a couple of shows he likes BoxOfficeQBs and The Paul and Griff Show. John gets himself a new Microphone, he gets the Aston Stealth Microphone and loves it. He talks about the setup for him to record. Shawn gets the Nikon D850 and shares what he loves about it. Andy tells about a new feature in Photoshop, Sky Replacement, that will be featured at the Adobe Max Conference on the 20th of October. Andy gives Dreamweaver CC a try and loves it noticing how much faster it is then the 5.5 Version he has been using. Microsoft starts doing presales for the upcoming Xbox and there were lots of problems with the ordering. Justin explains why the issues popped up. Director of Digital Marketing Josh Mortensen for AtGames visits the show to talk about some new products coming from the Company. Josh tells us about the Arcades Legends Ultimate, which is now available, 300 titles in a full stand up arcade game. Andy loves a lot of the features including the amount of titles and the facts that the machines are internet enabled. Welcome back to the podcast. For those who can see it, hope you dig the new logo! It was designed by a graphic designer and everything!   There’s plenty of talk about Apple’s By Innovation event on this week’s show. I’ll bring you comprehensive analysis of what it all means from a blindness perspective, discuss some questions that remain unanswered, provide some thoughts on who might want to upgrade their iPhone, and I reveal whether I could resist upgrading this year or not. We’ll hear plenty of listener reaction to the event.   There was a crisis at Mosen Towers just ahead of the Apple event when we found that we had a fried Apple TV. But luckily, a free replacement is coming our way.   Audio geeks rejoice! I answer a question about my studio and how I produce this podcast.   In a week of drama, our Ring Video Doorbell broke as well. Oh no! It's often the case that we all have a good rant when we receive poor customer service, so Bonnie and I wanted to recount the outstanding experience we had with Ring Customer Support.   Bonnie talks about her struggles reading tactile diagrams, and her introduction to the game of Swish.   There appears to be an accessibility bug with new Samsung devices, and a listener had a horrible customer service experience trying to get it investigated.   Thanks to a listener contribution, we revisit the question of free screen readers and when it's appropriate to use them.   Finally, we hear more thoughts on the Optacon and the unique information it conveyed to blind people.
