Annie et Régis Neyret ont donné leur nom à une Promenade sur la partie haute du quai Romain-Rolland et du quai de Bondy. C'est sur cet espace que s'étend chaque dimanche le célèbre Marché de la Création. Le couple Annie et Régis Neyret a joué un rôle primordial pour la sauvegarde du Vieux-Lyon, à une époque où le maire Louis Pradel envisageait de raser une bonne partie du quartier pour faire passer une voie routière rapide. Un véritable gâchis si ce projet était allé jusqu'à son terme. Aujourd'hui ce quartier lyonnais est le plus prisé des touristes. Pour Nadine Georgel, "Annie et Régis Neyret étaient des lanceurs d'alerte, avec un esprit indépendant. Un aiguillon de l'action publique". L'actuelle maire écologiste du 5ème arrondissement de Lyon souligne la nécessité de poursuivre leur combat "pour faire du Vieux-Lyon un quartier de vie agréable, accessible au plus grand nombre, et pour le faire entrer dans la transition écologique". Annie et Régis Neyret, tous deux décédés en 2019, ont fait de leur passion pour le patrimoine, le combat de leur vie. Si Régis est souvent présenté comme le Sauveur du Vieux-Lyon, son épouse, Annie, a aussi joué un rôle majeur dans cette lutte. Comme nous l'explique Rambert Laure. "Le succès de l'inscription de Lyon au Patrimoine Mondial de l'UNESCO a été le fuit d'une collaboration entre Régis, son épouse Annie et sa soeur Michèle, et les nombreux bénévoles de la RVL" explique le frère d'Annie. Régis Neyret a été président de l'association Renaissance du Vieux-Lyon, Annie présidente d'honneur... Une plaque leur rend hommage au 2 place du Change, sur la façade de l'immeuble où ils ont vécu. Mais c'est côté quai que sera installée une statue de bronze leur rendant hommage. La sculpture les représentera grandeur nature, assis sur un banc public. De là, ils pourront veiller éternellement sur le quartier qu'ils ont sauvé. Lyonnais et touristes pourront se prendre en photos à leurs côtés. C'est à la sculpteure Annick Leroy qu'a été confiée cette réalisation. "Mon travail est partie de cette photo prise à la fin de leur vie et les montrant main dans la main" explique l'artiste installée dans la Drôme. De la sauvegarde du Vieux-Lyon au classement de Lyon au Patrimoine Mondial Unesco...et jusqu'à l'empreinte laissée par le couple Neyret sur la ville. Hey, girl, hey!  Recently, right as I was hopping off of an Instagram Live a young lady asked me about self-soothing.  I wasn't able to discuss it then, so thought the podcast would be an excellent place to provide some insight. In this episode I'm sharing five things that I wish I knew years ago when I battled depression.  The Mayo Clinic defines depression as a mood disorder that that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest.   Causes of depression include abuse, serious illnesses, personal problems and even genes with women being twice as likely as men to be depressed. Some people think that the word "fornication" means sex outside of marriage. The 2020 Animal Health Awareness Week organised by the Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine is taking place this week from 23rd-28th November. On this week's Beef Edge Podcast, Mícheál Casey, Head of DAFM Regional Veterinary Laboratories (RVL) gives an insight into the many services they provide to farmers. The RVL network provides animal post-mortem examinations, surveillance of disease and laboratory diagnostic services and expertise to the farming community via veterinary practitioners. Mícheál highlights that like farmers, the laboratories are busy in the spring with issues arising around the time of calving resulting in post-mortems being done. The RVLs also encounters cases from issues incurred from respiratory diseases in calves resulting from poor ventilation or death as a result of calf scour outbreaks. In the past few weeks a common finding has been death from lung worm where owners suspect treatments have been ineffective, but in fact the laboratories believe it is the effect of heavy infestations after treatment. Surveillance of disease is also a major part of the role of RVL as they are on the front line to detect exotic diseases. Mícheál recalls the outbreak of Foot and Mouth in 2001 which farmers will never forget, and which reminds us of the need for ongoing vigilance and early detection. Adonai is connecting Passover to First Fruits (Bikkureem) and First Fruits to Shavuot or Pentecost.  It is so clear.  When we put these events into their historical context of 1446 B.C. or the time of the first Passover, and in 30 A.D., the probable time of Jesus' death an resurrection, ascension, and the feast of Pentecost in Acts 2, we see how the missing pieces of Pentecost are filled in.  Our understanding is again enriched and enhanced and we ask ourselves, how did we miss so much?  Why isn't Pentecost Sunday a big deal in my church?  In this lesson I hope you will become as passionate as I in terms of the fact we in the "church" need to bring back Pentecost Sunday and make it a big deal again.  It is more, much more, than what some say is the "birthday of the church."  Shavuot, its Hebrew name, is integrated into the special season, the season of God's ways of deliverance, salvation, redemption, and renewal.  Hear the words of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, "I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep (us Gentiles), which are not of this fold (Israel); I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they (Jew and Gentile) will become one flock with one shepherd." (Joh 10:14-16)This is the gathering in of His believers as one flock, one people, or one assembly - in Greek ECCLESIA which is translated as CHURCH.  The gathering of His assembly seems to begin in John 1 when two followed Jesus.  One was Andrew, Peter's brother.  More were added as Jesus came to them and said, "Come.
