Cloverleaf Radio's host The Host with the Most Jimmy Falcon welcomes back Author Dacre Stoker, The Great Grand Nephew of Dracula Author Bram Stoker! From Wikipedia:. Dacre Calder Stoker (born August 23, 1958) is a Canadian-American author, sportsman and filmmaker. Stoker was born in Montreal, Quebec. He is the great-grandnephew of Irish author Bram Stoker, the author of the 1897 Gothic novel Dracula. He lived in his childhood in Montreal, Quebec and attended the Bishop's College School. He taught for several years at Appleby College. Stoker is a former member of the Canadian men's pentathlon team. He coached the team at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Because of the Stokers' frustrating history with Dracula's copyright, Dacre, with encouragement from screenwriter Ian Holt, decided to write "a sequel that bore the Stoker name" to "reestablish creative control over" the original novel. In 2009, Dracula the Un-dead was released, written by Dacre Stoker and Ian Holt. Both writers claim to have "based [their work] on Bram Stoker's own handwritten notes for characters and plot threads excised from the original edition" along with their own research for the sequel, though the plot and characters often directly contradict the original novel. This also marked Dacre Stoker's writing debut. Winnipeg Free Press reviewer Kenneth MacKendrick called it "tempting enough to read and bad enough to be controversial, striking a balance between sensationalism and mediocrity". Stoker contributed to Dracula in Visual Media: Film, Television, Comic Book and Electronic Game Appearances, 1921–2010, along with Caroline Joan Picart, David J. Skal, J. Gordon Melton and John Edgar Browning. Stoker directed, produced and wrote the 2011 documentary film Dracula meets Stoker. Stoker, with his colleague Hans C. De Roos, is currently working on a Bram Stoker Dracula travel guide which will identify real-life locations mentioned in Stoker's novel as well as highlight the places Bram grew up in. In 2018, he released Dracul, a prequel to Dracula which he wrote alongside J. D. Barker. Paramount has purchased the rights for the movie. Director Andy Muschietti, It producers Barbara Muschietti and Roy Lee have been hired to work on it. Dacre, his wife, Jenne Stoker, and their two children live in Aiken, South Carolina, where he is the executive director of the Aiken Land Conservancy. (BR 2012)

INTERVIEW BEGINS AT: 25:30 In 1897 Bram Stoker unleashed the stuff of nightmares to generations, and the world of film forever put his creation in our collective conscious. From the earliest days of film the Vampire appeared, but it wasn't until 1922 with the release of Nosferatu (and its's subsequent legal battles) that Stokers character graced the screen. Then 1931 and a relatively unknown Bela Lugosi portrayed what has become the pop culture image of Stokers count. Over the years there have been countless versions of the Vampire, most notably by the likes of Christopher Lee, Frank Langela and Gary Oldman, but what do the film historians and Stoker scholars think about the various versions.... let's find out Bruce Hallenbeck, horror historian and author of books such as The Hammer Vampire, and Neil Storey Author of works such as Dracula Secrets join us to discuss the count on film and in history... So kick back, enjoy and please rate and share the show..let's keep the audience growing. Thank you all And hey, check out our Merch Store for Shirts. Today Claire is talking with coaches Mark Chappell, Fiona Craig, Caroline Drummond and Catherine Kramer who have all been asking questions about how you answer 'I don't know' questions when you're rightsizing the work at the beginning of every coaching conversation. Especially around the role question - how shall we do this? So we said come to The Coaching Inn and let's talk! We all learned something! If you have a question about an aspect of coaching where you'd like to dig deeper, let's talk at The Coaching Inn. Email us through info@3dcoaching.com Thinking about this together out loud will enable other coaches to learn and make their own meaning. Contact: Mark Chappell Fi Craig Caroline Drummond Catherine Kramer Takeaways As a coach, it's important to ask the question 'How are we going to do this?' at the beginning of a coaching conversation to set the stage for exploration and partnership. It's okay for thinkers to say 'I don't know' in response to questions. It indicates that the work is in uncharted territory and allows for a more open and flexible conversation. The role of the coach is to create a safe space for the thinker to explore their thoughts and feelings without feeling pressured to have all the answers. Coaches should focus on what is of value to the coachee and be willing to let go of control and follow the thinker's agenda. The question 'How will you know we've moved this forward?' is a powerful tool for helping thinkers identify their desired outcomes and measure progress. Set clear expectations about coaching at the beginning of the coaching relationship to avoid mismatched expectations. Discuss and address cultural differences upfront when coaching across cultures. Avoid providing advice or tips unless specifically requested by the client. Regularly check in with clients to ensure the coaching process is on track and meeting their needs. Keywords coaching, 'I don't know' questions, right-sizing, role question, exploration, value, flexibility, coaching, expectations, coaching across cultures, clarity, checking in

This episode is about biking blind. No, this is not a metaphor. Even Helen Keller, the famous disability rights activist, who happened to be deaf and blind, enjoyed a spin on her bike as a teenager in the late 1800's.“Next to a leisurely walk I enjoy a spin on my tandem bicycle. It is splendid to feel the wind blowing in my face and the springy motion of my iron steed. The rapid rush through the air gives me a delicious sense of strength and buoyancy, and the exercise makes my pulse dance and my heart sing.” Her words. She was, in modern terms, a stoker. The person who sits behind the captain on a tandem bike.-----Blind Stokers Club websiteFacebook page

An adaptation of Bram Stoker's classic vampire novel. Gary Oldman plays Dracula whose lonely soul is determined to reunite with his lost love, Mina (Winona Ryder). In Britain, Dracula begins a reign of terror and seduction draining the life from her closest friend, Lucy (Sadie Frost). Together they try and drive Dracula away.
