As fennec brings back the assassin that she captured, the door opened like it did for Luke in return of the Jedi. We find out the assassin is part of a night wind clan, who are high level assassins who were in power under the hutts. They're gun for hires. After being fooled into thinking he would be eaten by a Rancor, he gives it up that the Mayor sent him to kill Boba. Boba and Fennec travel to Mos Espa and barge into the Mayor's quarters, where the assassin is killed, as the Mayor says he can't operate outside of Hutt space, and since the Hutt's don't rule Tatooine anymore, this is an illegal act, shooting him. The Mayor, an ithorian species, and who's name is mok shaiz, assures Boba that he has no motive to kill him, so it wasn't him. Boba asserts his position as Daimyo and that the Mayor only continues to live because he wills it. The Mayor's mok shaiz, tribute is advice, that running a family is more difficult than being a bounty hunter. I think what he means by this is that being a crime lord is more difficult than bounty hunting. He sends him to Garza's sanctuary, and when Boba gets there, he finds out from Madame Garza that the Hutt's have reclaimed Tatooine. The cousins of Jabba, twins. Boba doesn't believe it. As we hear drums and the nearing of the Hutt twins, everyone including max Reebok and his band stop in their tracks. As the twins arrive, carried by wee quays, they tell boba that Tatooine is now theirs. Boba doesn't care, and stands his ground, then the hutts laugh and black krrsantan walks up to stare boba down. Black Krrsantan is the most vicious wookie known to the galaxy. He's a feared bounty hunter and much more dangerous than Boba Fett, physically. Trandoshans and Wookies have a long rivalry with each other, and so it makes me wonder if Boba will team up with Bossk sometime in the show to fight Black Krrsantan. I'll make a few videos on Black all by himself, as he's a monster and has had run ins with Vader, Obi-Wan, and more. As Boba heads back to his bacta, the rest of the episode is his flashback during return of the Jedi and it's really the most beautiful bit of Star Wars I've seen. It was so heartfelt, mystic, heroic, and moving. Boba is training with the gaffi stick as the tusken is teaching him. Proper training scene, I love seeing the progression happen. I think the tusken he's learning from is a woman, and he might develop a relationship with, perhaps she dies in a fight later on and Boba goes berserk or something. The tuskers are ambushed by a speeding train that shoots at them. These are the pyke syndicate, they were prominent in the clone wars for selling spice. Spice was a drug that sold for a lot of money, and it was mined in corelliia. Boba realizes how he can take the train down, as that night he sees those weequays riding on speeders through the desert, the same ones collecting the water from the moisture farmers in book of Boba Fett episode 1. Boba needs those speeders, so he tracks them down and we end up at tosche station. This is pretty awesome because this is where Luke hung out as a teenage with his friends, and it's what we hear him say in episode 4 about his power converters. From the deleted scene in a new hope we see that the structure and and interior is the same, this is great continuity. The two people being picked on are actually Luke's friends, cammie and fixer. Boba takes them out like the terminator took out the bikers in the bar, and stole their bikes as mentioned in last night's watch party. He heads back the tuskens and teaches them how to ride. Gungi summons his green lightsaber with the force and deflects the blasts from the droids, and they get out of there with their ship. They talk to Gungi on the ship and decide to take him to his people, the Wookies from the planet Kashyyyk. The concern is if the Empire has taken over the planet, which they have. As they approach the planet, Hunter announces that the planet is releasing a lot of smoke, meaning the empire has definitely arrived and blown the place up. Now for those who remember, Kashyyyk has a long history, it's a jungle planet, very nature oriented and natural. Gungi's saber hilt is wooden. The planet is like Jumanji basically. Now Gungi has no memory of Kashyyy as younglings are taken to be Jedi at infantile stages of their life. We got to experience Kashyyyk in fallen order, but before that in the game force unleashed, where we star the game off playing as Vader as he fights the Wookies and then meets baby Galen Marek. As they walk through the forest, Gungi and the batch meet some giant spiders which are like the ones we fight in the KOTOR game, as he uses either beast control like anakin did agasint the reek in episode 2 in the genosian arena, or just communicated with it by not being violent, causing them to step aside for safe passage. They find a wookie being held hostage as Trandoshans ride imperial tanks from the clone wars and put the surrounding trees on fire. So it's evident the empire wanted Kashyyyk and they decided who better to work with than the trandoshans who passionately hate the fur balls. Gungi saves the day by igniting his lightsaber and it's a fun scene much like the clone wars. Much destruction has become of beautiful Kashyyyk. Trandoshans have enslaved Wookies forever, and they two races absolutely hate each other. Bossk and Black Krrsantan have fought each other close to death many times, and it was something I was hoping to see in the book of boba fett show. Maybe one day… They are met by some Wookie tribesmen and taken to the Elder of the village, who accomodates them with food and drink. As Trandoshans and Clonetroopers of the Empire come across the saber slash marks from Gungi's lightsaber, they vow to kill the Jedi, and are now coming for him and the Bad Batch. Tech and the Elder discover this convoy headed their way, when the Bad Batch decide to stay and fight, as the Wookies have been a massive ally to the republic during the war, and helped fight alongside them. They speak to the trees spiritually and get ready for war. A massive epic battle ensues and Gungi proves his worth as a Jedi as he goes up against the leader Trandoshan, who gets picked apart by the spiders, caught in their web and lifted up into the trees to be probably eaten. Now i will mention that Trandoshans use fire to obviously burn trees and the forest, but also this reminded me of how Boba beat Chewbacca in a fight once in the canon comics by putting his fur on fire. Wookies are notoriously physically powerful creatures, and so are Trandoshans. On another note, for Wrecker to knock out a trandoshan in one hit, really proves his strength. They don't go down easy. Hunter says they're both just kids but they don't get to be in this galaxy, which is true, and sad because neither of them got the enjoy their youth. Omega with being locked up on Kamino as a science experiment, and then with Gungi running for his life from Order 66, the two have had to grow up really fast and it'll make them quite formidable characters when they are fully grown. The Elder speaks the native language of Kashyyyk, Shyriiwook, and says when a young one leaves, the trees weep, and when they return, the trees sing. We delve into the backstory of Gungi, a male Wookiee Jedi youngling trained to become a Jedi. We explore the feud between the Wookiees of the planet Kashyyyk and the Trandoshans of Transdosha. The Empire conquered Kassyyyk and enslaved the Wookiees with the help of the Trandoshans. In the present day, Gungi is on the run and joins forces with the Bad Batch to fight the Trandoshans.

I cover these each month because it's a good way to keep your ear to the ground as to what's going on at two of the biggest players in the geek industries, as well as to hopefully pique listeners' interests to something in those goings-on. For our first anniversary, we cover The Clone Wars episodes "Padawan Lost" (s3e21) and "Wookie Hunt" (s3e22). If you are keeping track, this is the end of the third season of Clone Wars! Stef and Chris open the show going down memory lane, then jump right into these episodes. These episodes had a mixed reaction from the Divas. Still, we loved seeing the chronological debut of one of our favorite characters (Hint: It's a Wookie). We also invent a new counter, talk about Trandoshans, and how the Jedi just like to leave younglings around the galaxy and never look for them.

The boys are back with S3 E21 "Padawan Lost". Ahsoka has been kidnapped and is being hunted for sport by a group of Trandoshans, but she is not alone! "Wookiee Hunt" is the 22nd and final episode from season 3 of the Clone Wars, and it features an instance of stunt casting! The Trandoshans have captured a Wookiee to hunt, and it's none other than Chewbacca. This is his first in-universe appearance, from a timeline perspective, and he'd have to be around 180 years old at this point.
