You know the mob, right? Super organized. Super dangerous. Delicious pasta. And how about a different kinda mob? Perhaps an UNDEAD one? An organized ring of perpetrators initiating activities so bizarre, so twisted.....that the core of their mission is to create affordable, research-focused conventions to make paranormal education accessible and, dare we say, help offset the massive costs of equipment and travel for investigators??!?!? An organized paranormal family. You ever heard of that mob? …Fuhgeddaboutit. You know the mob, right? Super organized. Super dangerous. Delicious pasta. You ever heard of that mob? …Fuhgeddaboutit. In this episode of the Open Loops podcast, host Greg interviews Laurissa Mary Rex, a retired Army captain turned psychic medium, paranormal investigator, author, and CEO of Third Eye Events. The conversation explores Laurissa's fascinating journey from her highly unconventional upbringing—growing up with innate abilities while her father was actually in the mafia—to building a thriving business in the paranormal space. One might say....an empire. The episode also dives deep into her work at the Waldorf Estate of Fear (the set of Hell House), a location she investigated for four years that led to her writing The Waldorf Effect, a Paranormal Research Theory. You really think Greg is gonna let this ghost researcher slip by without explaining her theory? Emotion, geology, history, and hauntings COLLIDE into a new understanding of paranormal phenomena so earth-shattering that listeners hanging with the fishes may even lose sleep... (We checked the analytics — dead bodies floating in water is a core demographic, so thank you, Tri-State area!) Laurissa Mary Rex delivers loops, she delivers spooks, and if you stay off our cursed burial ground, she'll stay off yours. Capisce? Laurissa's Links: Www.hauntedmafia.events www.gounderworld.com
The Knicks looked dead in the water against Houston… until the final eight minutes flipped everything. Jalen Brunson took over, Jose Alvarado sparked the defense, and New York pulled off a stunning comeback before grinding out another win in Chicago. But the real fireworks came off the court, when Shaquille O'Neal publicly challenged Karl-Anthony Towns on national TV about what it takes to win a championship in New York. Did KAT miss the point entirely? Is Brunson already the unquestioned alpha? And do the Knicks need a dominant version of Towns to truly contend? Plus, frustration over a growing Boston narrative that rewrites last year's playoff series against the Knicks, snowstorm chaos in the Tri-State area, and a jam-packed sports weekend from spring training to soccer. A loaded segment breaking down whether this Knicks surge is real… and what it will take to turn it into a title run.

Bundle up, New York! Dominic Carter takes the mic as a historic "blockbuster blizzard" buries the Tri-State area in up to 28 inches of snow. Dom takes live caller reports from the treacherous, ice-covered roads, shares some quirky shoveling survival tips, and roasts NYC Mayor "Mom Donnie" over the hilarious irony of requiring two forms of ID to shovel snow for the city, but absolutely zero to vote. Plus, the show tackles breaking news out of Florida as the Secret Service stops an armed, shotgun-wielding intruder at Mar-a-Lago, and we celebrate an epic overtime Olympic gold medal win for Team USA Men's Hockey. From freezing driveways in Brooklyn to callers rubbing our noses in their 87-degree Florida beach days, tune in to weather the storm with Dom! Learn more about your ad choices. Outside of the Jai Paul Anniversary alt version bangers at the end, that Randy Travis 45 record slowed and throwed was my favorite portion of this wicked hawt installment and I'm all hot and bothered about it. To this day, the original test pressing of Styx's Mr. Roboto remains my favorite 45 record in my collection to slow and throw, but these slowed country tunes are so sick. Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain by Willie, Take Me by George Jones and now this one by Randy Travis just to name a few. I looked for Randy Travis slowed and throwed on the internet and found one example but it sounded like trash so this is the only place serving up a nice slice of game like that. The only game around town. I did get approached while shopping today by the president of a local 37 and under arena football organization. A put together, well spoken man that was naturally drawn to the aura of myself and my friend. He kindly introduced himself along with his cause, being that of keeping middle aged men off of the streets and doing the most to prepare them for the next level, seeking donation to help his cause and to benefit the grand scheme of his local football league. Little did he know, he was speaking with the best quarterback prospect in the building, with possibly an expandable radius of within 2 square miles, and the best long snapper/pocket protector in the Tri State area. I throw darts, people. An all-out aerial assault disguised as an unassuming local internet disc jockey. My friend that was with me can Olympic squat a mid size SUV and I've seen him do morally questionable things that let me know for sure, he is the perfect candidate to cover the blind side and let Juan Don go absolute Uncle Rico in the pocket and put on showtime for the masses. If I go on to have a famed local career in the arena football league, don't say I didn't call it. George Herman Ruthless in the pocket firing quick dirty cheese into the flat. Other than daydreaming about scrambling for first downs in the 37U league, I did manage to pickup more Pokemon cards today like a complete degenerate. It's embarrassing that I'm balling out this hard on Pokemon but I guess I could be doing worse things. God bless the person that reads this whole thing. Until next week.. It may not have been the cleanest of sweeps, but you may have heard that the Islanders managed to sweep both the Rangers & Devils for the first time ever in a regular season. Couple that with a dramatic bounce back win over the Pens after dropping a damaging L to the Caps, and the Islanders ended up having themselves a pretty decent final stretch to the Olympic break. Sean & Arthur get together to cover where this leaves the Isles in the race to the finish and take a look at Olympic hockey while most of the league rests up for that final stretch.Follow HNiNY on all social media platforms at @hockeynightnyPresented by OwnwellSponsored by Raiser, Kenniff, & Lonstein Attorneys at LawRecorded at Floored MediaSubscribe to our friends at IslesFix newsletter!

Dominic Carter goes live as a historic winter storm buries the Tri-State area under feet of snow, shutting down flights and forcing New York City schools into "remote learning". While callers from Florida gloat about the sunshine and Canadians brave -35 degree weather, Dominic battles his own crisis: he refuses to pay $80 for a plow and is shoveling the driveway with socks on his hands because he lost all 40 pairs of gloves. Things get heated when the conversation turns to Minneapolis, where President Trump is reviewing the fatal shooting of an armed ICU nurse by Border Patrol agents during an ICE protest. The phone lines explode as callers Teddy and Sherman go to war over whether the incident was murder or "suicide by cop," while FBI Director Kash Patel issues a stern warning to protesters threatening federal agents. Rita Cosby provides a multi-layered report on the civil and environmental crises currently impacting the United States. The broadcast opens with a detailed weather briefing on a "one, two, three punch" storm system, characterized by heavy snowfall and dangerous Arctic air that threatens to paralyze the Tri-State area and disrupt national travel for days. Shifting from the physical climate to the political one, Cosby critiques the rising hostility toward ICE agents, specifically addressing a controversial incident involving a five-year-old boy in Minneapolis to argue that political rhetoric is distorting the facts of law enforcement actions. Somebody needed to pick up the torch for hard rock and heavy metal with real grit and gusto and without a gimmick. Enter Who on Earth. The New Jersey outfit of Coosh [vocals], Pete Rizzi [bass], Johnny James Barone (guitar), Jimmy Kocha (guitar) and Howie Fallon [drums] — deliver a one-two punch of hard-hitting hooks and airtight instrumentation bolted down by pummeling grooves and piercing riffs. It all gestated from a question…“We wanted to fill in the blank of ‘Who On Earth is going to bring back good rock and metal?',” explains Pete. “We grew up on the new wave of British heavy metal and classic rock. We went through grunge and other great genres of metal. We wanted to resurrect the melodies, hooks, and guitar solos. We returned to our roots yet upgraded everything with modern production.”The group made their bones through countless gigs across the Tristate area in every dive bar and concert hall with a stage. Along the way, Andrew and Pete tore up venues as part of MadHaus, performing marathon covers. During 2021, the longtime friends chose to forego covers, hunker down, and compose an original album. The composing came easily, and in a short time, the founding fathers had 10 songs ready to go. To bring the record to life, the band hit the studio with none other than Mike Orlando (Category 7, Adrenaline Mob). Over the next year, the guys endured numerous COVID delays as they recorded with Orlando behind the board as producer, engineer, and “stunt” guitarist. Nodding to everyone from Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Metallica to Rush, Alice In Chains, and Tool, they placed storytelling in the spotlight.“The New Jersey heavy rockers bring their signature grit and power to the 1979 classic, adding punchy riffs, thunderous drums, and raw energy while honoring the spirit of the original.“Somebody needed to pick up the torch for hard rock and heavy metal with real grit and gusto without a gimmick. Enter Who On Earth. The New Jersey quintet—Andrew Couche [vocals], Pete Rizzi [bass], Howie Fallon [drums], Johnny James Barone [guitar], and Jimmy Kocha [guitar]—deliver a one-two punch of hard-hitting hooks and airtight instrumentation bolted down by pummeling grooves and piercing riffs. The band continues to pay homage to rock's past as they usher in its future on their latest EP, Smoke & Mirrors.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-unplugged-totally-uncut--994165/support.

On April 12, 1961, Yuri Gagarin became the first man in space — but two brothers in Italy had already recorded transmissions from Soviet spacecraft that were never supposed to exist. | #WDRadio WEEK OF DEC 07, 2025==========HOUR ONE: Did lost cosmonauts make it into space before Yuri Gagarin? (The Tombs in Space) *** Don't take a gift from Gracie Watson's grave... or her life-like statue might cry tears of blood. (Gracie's Ghost) *** Did Bonnie Scott run away? Was she kidnapped? Murdered perhaps? All anyone knew was that no one had a clue where she was. She had simply disappeared without a trace. (The Murder of Bonnie Leigh Scott) *** A latchkey kid comes home to an empty house… or so they thought until they heard footsteps in another room. (The Laundry Room)==========HOUR TWO: Just because the Ouija board is made by a board game manufacturer does not mean it should be treated like a toy – as many have discovered. *** The similar game, Charlie Charlie seems more innocent – but is so dangerous that in one school where children were playing it, they had to call in an exorcist. *** And you never know when playing any of these types of games what kind of spirit you might be inviting into our realm – but I can tell you this…. It's never good. They might pretend to be good, but that's far from the truth. And one particular demon has found notoriety through the Ouija board community, a demon you don't want to risk opening a door for. It's name is Zozo.==========SUDDEN DEATH OVERTIME: People often encounter strange and frightening things when they experience sleep paralysis – but in one particular story, the horrors began well before going to bed. (Sleep Paralysis in Bangkok) *** Samuel Joselyn was buried in 1810 in a North Carolina cemetery. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that Samuel was actually DEAD at the time of his burial! (Buried Alive in Wilmington) *** in 1894 Rosa Lochner was a witness to murder, but she had been deaf since birth and her spoken vocabulary was limited. So how could she testify against the accused? (Murder In Pantomime) *** A boy wakes to find his previously closed curtains now open – and the only explanation involves a previous resident of the house he's now living in. (Strange Manifestations) *** Mention the word “Chupacabra” and most people will think of a strange, hairless dog-like animal. They are never described as having the ability to fly… until now. (Winged Chupacabras) *** These UFOs aren't shiny metallic discs or cigar-shaped spaceships. They are humanoid – and they fly without the help of a jetpack, wings, cape or even a broom to sit on. And the sightings are still coming in all throughout Mexico. (The Flying Humanoids of Mexico) *** The North Carolina Cherokee have a story about how dangerous it can be even near a calm river – where the waters can suddenly foam and a giant beast can appear on the rocks. (James and the Giant Leech) *** Supernatural women, shadowy men, odd animal sightings, and more… they can all be found at late-night truck stops if you're not careful.
