In this episode, I sit down with my dear friend Lisa Raja, midlife style expert and certified menopause coach, who reveals how fashion can be a powerful tool for reclaiming your confidence during times of physical change. Lisa shares her own journey through menopause (including the 25 pounds she gained and her struggle with self-image) and how this transformation led her to combine her 25 years of fashion expertise with menopause coaching. Our candid conversation unveils why so many of us stop making an effort with our appearance despite knowing how good it feels when we do.Lisa offers practical wisdom on embracing your current body while still looking fabulous, explaining that your decades of experience aren't baggage—they're your most valuable asset. We explore how a single blazer can transform your look, why accessories are often overlooked game-changers, and the psychological impact of wearing beautiful undergarments just for yourself. Whether you're navigating workplace ageism, body changes, or simply stuck in a style rut, Lisa's insights will help you tap into the power of personal style as a form of self-care that radiates confidence in every area of your life!Key Takeaways:The 7-11 Rule: In the first seven seconds of meeting someone, they make eleven judgments about you before you even open your mouth.Blazers Are Universal: Every woman should own at least one blazer - they frame your body beautifully, work with any outfit, and instantly make you look polished.Lingerie Is Self-Love: Beautiful undergarments aren't for others - they're a foundation of self-care and loving your body at every stage.Stop Hiding: Oversized, shapeless clothing can reinforce a hiding mentality - there are flattering options for every body type that showcase rather than conceal.Say No More: The best thing about midlife is finally prioritizing yourself without guilt and setting boundaries that protect your energy.Lisa Says: You're Not Too F***ing Old! to take control of your life right now!Learn more about Jen Marples at https://www.jenmarples.comWant to work with Jen? If you've ever felt silenced, stuck, or scared to share your deepest truths, this episode is your lifeline. I'm diving deep with storytelling expert Katherine Kennedy about the transformative power of speaking your authentic story - and why your voice matters more than you could ever imagine. After last week's vulnerable episode about my own childhood trauma, I knew I needed to bring Katherine onto the show to explore how sharing our stories can heal, connect, and ultimately liberate us. Whether you're navigating midlife, wrestling with past experiences, or simply craving deeper connections, this conversation will inspire you to break your silence and step into your most powerful, unapologetic self. Key Takeaways:Vulnerability is a strength, not a weakness - sharing your authentic story can create deeper connections and personal growth. The "three C's" storytelling framework (Challenge, Choice, Change) can help you process and understand your personal experiences. Many women struggle with people-pleasing and hiding their true feelings, which prevents genuine connection and self-understanding.Writing can be a powerful tool for self-discovery - just 6 minutes of reflective writing each morning can provide significant insights.Speaking your truth isn't about perfection, but about showing your authentic journey and the lessons learned along the way.Midlife offers a unique opportunity to care less about others' opinions and more about personal authenticity and growth.Sharing your story isn't just for you - it can inspire and help others who may be experiencing similar challenges, creating a ripple effect of healing and connection.Katherine Says: You're Not Too F***ing Old! to share what's inside.Learn more about Jen Marples at https://www.jenmarples.comWant to work with Jen? Today, we have a great episode with Danny Lu from Powin. Powin is a leading provider of BESS, w/ 8 GWh of systems built and 9 in the pipeline. As the Trump admin pushes for more drilling and a seemingly anti-clean energy policy (despite that not being the definition of abundance) we are seeing the value of battery storage. Prior to tariffs, building a speaker plant would be more expensive and take longer than building energy storage systems to manage grid flexibility issues. (It's tbd what the situation will be with huge Chinese tariffs). Powin has years of experience working in this space to solve supply chain issues and is always improving its business to adapt to whatever battery chemistry is most feasible and affordable for its clients. Falun Gong is familiar to many as a spiritual exercise movement, and a sect that has been persecuted by the People's Republic of China. In Sydney you'll often see practitioners demonstrating by Town Hall with flyers sharing stories of organ harvesting of wrongfully imprisoned members. But former devotees have come forward with stories of coercion and abuse, alleging that in one thing the CCP is correct: Falun Gong is a socially harmful cult.Full research sources listed here.Links:“I am the only one propagating true Dharma”: Li Hongzhi's Self-Presentation as Buddha and Greater — by James R. Episode Summary: Salvation (Pages 379-404)This chapter is about coming home to yourself—liberation, transformation, and stepping into the light of who you truly are. Some days, you may feel deeply connected to your purpose; other days, you may feel lost. This is part of being human. We move through light and shadow, remembering and forgetting, but there is always a way back to yourself. At its core, this chapter explores salvation not as something external, but as an inner transformation. It is the process of shedding fear and illusion, returning to divine truth, and choosing faith over fear, unity over division, and presence over distraction. Peace, freedom, and love are not something we seek—they are something we awaken within. This teaching is an invitation to step into our divinity. We are all part of something bigger, something sacred. This is a path of awakening—discovering who we truly are and the light we are meant to share with the world.Key Themes* Salvation as Inner Transformation – It is not given to us; it is something we embody and live.* Deliverance is an Inner Process – Releasing false narratives, choosing faith over fear, and stepping into spiritual truth.* Returning to Divine Truth – Aligning with wisdom, presence, and love instead of illusion and distraction.* We Are the Bridge – We are here to carry the Light and be part of the awakening of conscious life. The Path of Deliverance* Deliverance is not about being rescued—it is a shift in perception and awareness.* It is about releasing limitations, false identities, and attachments that keep us bound.* We are called to use discernment—choosing what we align with and how we walk this path.* “You are here to make choices as the Divine human, not the human human any longer.”The Burden is Resistance, Not Life* Life itself is not a burden—it is resistance to our true selves that creates suffering.* The book reminds us: “When you free yourself to be as you are, and free others to be who they are, it suddenly becomes easy to love, to trust, and to release doubt.”* The greatest transformation happens when we surrender the need for control and comparison.A Time of Awakening & Accountability* We are moving into an Era of Consciousness—one of transparency, truth, and co-creation.* We are accountable for the seeds we sow, whether in love or fear.* “You are all accountable for your share of the peace, or your share of the burden, in ways you did not have to be accountable for before.”* The Earth is part of this balance. “Cease and desist from your slow crucifixion of Gaia.”Stepping Into the Light* We are being asked: “Will you be God's dream, a conscious dreamer? Or will you be God's nightmare, twisted in the dreaming?”* This is a moment of choice—one that calls us into presence, connection, and kindness.* The invitation is to live in alignment with divine truth, embodying love and peace in our daily lives. You Are the Ninth Transmission* The Freedom Transmissions are structured in three sacred Braids—Life, Death, and Resurrection.* The final strand is you. You are the completion of the teaching.* “The ninth transmission is not something you receive—it is something you live.”* Your choices, your presence, your love are what weave a new world of wisdom and light.Key Takeaways* We are the living transmission. It is through our actions and alignment that we bring the Light into the world.* Surrender, willingness, and curiosity are all that is required.* This is Revelation. The unseen becomes seen through how we live, love, and serve.Next Steps: Read & Listen
In this vulnerable episode, I peel back the curtain on my recent struggle with resurfacing childhood trauma. Despite years of therapy, I share how a recent interview unexpectedly reopened old wounds with my father, plunging me into a space of heaviness and contemplation. I reveal the raw moment when I broke down at lunch with friends, finally acknowledging the weight I'd been carrying and allowing myself to receive support instead of always giving it.I offer this deeply personal story as a reminder that healing isn't linear and that even cheerleaders sometimes need their crowns fixed. If you've ever felt like you should be "over" something by now, or if you're struggling beneath a cheerful exterior while feeling broken inside, this episode will validate your experience and remind you that you're never alone in these complicated human emotions—and that asking for help might be exactly the medicine you need.Key Takeaways:Healing from childhood trauma is not a linear processThe power of vulnerability and seeking supportImportance of addressing emotional woundsStrategies for personal growth and self-discoveryFeeling difficult emotions rather than numbing themJen Says: You're Not Too F***ing Old! to do what you need to do to feel good.Learn more about Jen Marples at https://www.jenmarples.comWant to work with Jen? In this episode, I sat down with my friend and luxury real estate expert Maile Mock to dive deep into the emotional journey of empty nesting - but with a powerful reframe. Instead of viewing it as an "empty nest," we explored the concept of becoming "free birds" and embracing this next chapter of life with excitement and possibility. Maile and I got real about why having our kids leave feels like losing a limb (because it kind of is!) and how the transition evolves from those raw early days of missing them desperately to finding a new rhythm and reconnecting with ourselves. The beauty of my conversation with Maile is that we're both in it right now!We also tackled the practical side of empty nesting, particularly around housing decisions and partnerships. Through Maile's expertise in real estate, we discussed how couples can navigate different visions for their next chapter - whether that's downsizing, moving to the city, or finding that perfect lock-and-leave property that supports a more adventurous lifestyle. I loved exploring how we Gen Xers are rewriting the rules of midlife, with most of us viewing this as a time to start new ventures rather than winding down into traditional retirement. The key takeaway? It's time to give ourselves permission to dream big and explore possibilities we might have put on hold while raising our families. As Maile perfectly summed up - 50 is the new 30, and we have so much life ahead of us to create, grow, and embrace our free bird status.Key Takeaways:1. Empty Nesting is Hard - And That's OK2. The Free Bird Mindset is Game-Changing3. Dream Big But Try Before You Buy4. 50 is the New 30 - Forget Traditional Retirement5. True courage isn't in avoiding failure—it's in showing up, daring greatly, and proving the critics don't count. Do you have the courage to show up? Welcome to my first solo episode of Reflect Forward in 2025! I'm so excited to kick off the new year with an inspiring discussion on courage, resilience, and embracing vulnerability. Using Theodore Roosevelt's iconic "Man in the Arena" quote as a foundation, I explore what it means to show up in the face of fear, criticism, and self-doubt. This episode is all about daring greatly—stepping into the arena, regardless of whether you win or fail. I share some deeply personal stories of triumph, struggle, and leadership, and I offer actionable tips to help you find the courage to boldly pursue your purpose. What You'll Take Away from This Episode: 1. The Power of Roosevelt's "Man in the Arena" Quote: o I unpack the historical backdrop of Roosevelt's famous speech and why its message is so timeless. o I explain how the quote inspires me to prioritize action over fear and effort over judgment—and how you can apply it in your own life. 2. Personal Stories of Stepping Into the Arena: o I open up about some of the most pivotal moments in my life, from facing criticism as a young leader to embracing vulnerability by sharing personal challenges with my team. o I show how taking bold steps, even when it felt uncomfortable, led to transformation and growth for me—and how it can for you too. 3. Actionable Tips to Step Into the Arena: o Focus on Your Purpose: I share how staying grounded in my "why" keeps me resilient in the face of criticism. o Reframe Failure: I talk about how I've learned to see setbacks as opportunities to grow rather than reasons to give up. o Build a Strong Support System: I reflect on the incredible people in my life who've uplifted me and how important it is to surround yourself with people who inspire and support you. o Detach from External Validation: I get real about my struggle with needing approval from others and how I've learned to validate myself by living authentically. o Celebrate Effort Over Outcomes: I explain why I focus on the journey and the courage it takes to show up instead of being fixated on results. Why This Matters in 2025: The world is filled with challenges—polarization, judgment, and fear. I believe it's more important than ever for us to step into the arena and live courageously. Whether it's leading boldly, sharing your story, or taking action despite fear, showing up with intention and heart is the key to creating a meaningful and impactful life. Your Call to Action: What's your arena? What bold steps will you take to show up and live courageously this year? I'd love to hear your stories of resilience and daring greatly—please connect with me on LinkedIn or share your thoughts in the podcast comments. If this episode resonates with you, please share it with someone who might need a little extra inspiration to step into their own arena. Refined in 2024, Chosen for 2025: Stepping Into the Promise • Friday Service Website: www.PastorTodd.org To give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give 2024 has been a year of intense refining for the Body of Christ. Through fire, testing, and breaking, God has been purifying His Church, preparing us for the unprecedented glory and harvest that awaits in 2025. This sermon will explore why the refining was necessary and how we are now positioned to step into His promises. 1. Refined Like Gold in the Fire Scripture: Malachi 3:3 (NKJV) “He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the Lord an offering in righteousness.” 2. Broken to Be Made Whole Scripture: Psalm 34:18 (NKJV) “The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.” 3. Gilgal: A Place of Preparation Scripture: Joshua 5:9 (NKJV) “Then the Lord said to Joshua, ‘This day I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.' Therefore the name of the place is called Gilgal to this day.” 4. A Call to Come Out from Among Them Scripture: 2 Corinthians 6:17 (NKJV) “Therefore ‘Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.'” 5. Authentic Worship over Performance Scripture: John 4:23-24 (NKJV) “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” 6. Equipped for the Harvest Scripture: Matthew 9:37-38 (NKJV) “Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.'” 7. Citizens of Heaven, Ambassadors of Christ Scripture: Philippians 3:20 (NKJV) “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.” 8. Miracles, Signs, and Wonders Scripture: Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV) “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” 9. Strengthened Through Trials Scripture: James 1:2-4 (NKJV) “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” 10. The King is Coming Scripture: Revelation 22:12 (NKJV) “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to everyone according to his work.” Step Forward, Remnant 2024 was a year of refining, but 2025 will be a year of triumph. The Lord has equipped and strengthened us for this pivotal moment in history. Let us rise, step boldly into His promises, and shine His light in the darkness. The harvest is here, and the King is coming.
