Starmer vs Russia: No War in Our Name! You're No Churchill or Thatcher! RESIGN! Starmer #Russia #StopTheWar #Ukraine #Putin Is Keir Starmer pushing Britain closer to war with Russia? Jon Gaunt exposes how the Labour leader is talking tough on Putin while failing at home – from Dover's migrant crisis to surrendering British territories like the Chagos Islands. Starmer backs Ukraine drone strikes, increases defence spending promises with no dates, and now entertains conscription talk — echoing Tony Blair's Iraq war mistakes. But the British people don't want another war. They want secure borders, accountability, and real leadership — not Churchill cosplay. Jon Gaunt breaks down: • Starmer's reckless war rhetoric • The truth behind UK-US support for Ukraine's drone attacks • Why Starmer's comparisons to Churchill or Thatcher fall flat • Border failures and migrant chaos • Conscription fears and the lack of public support Subscribe, share, and comment your thoughts on whether Starmer should resign before dragging the UK further into global conflict. #Starmer #Russia #StopTheWar #Ukraine #Putin #NoWarInOurName #UKPolitics #Conscription #BorderCrisis #Thatcher #Churchill #Zelensky #MigrantCrisis #KeirStarmer With Hashtags #KeirStarmer, #NoWar, #RussiaUK, #StarmerVsPutin, #JonGaunt, #Churchill, #Thatcher, #UKPolitics, #UkraineWar, #Zelensky, #StopTheWar, #BritishBorders, #IllegalMigrants, #DroneStrike, #ConscriptionUK, #Putin, #StarmerResign, #LabourParty, #GlobalConflict, #Falklands Keir Starmer, No War, Russia UK, Starmer Vs Putin, Jon Gaunt, Churchill, Thatcher, UK Politics, Ukraine War, Zelensky, Stop The War, British Borders, Illegal Migrants, Drone Strike, Conscription UK, Putin, Starmer Resign, Labour Party, Global Conflict, Falklands

Their slogan: “If the government won't stop the war, we'll stop the government.” The Nixon administration cracked down, arresting 7,000 people in just one day, and 12,000 people over the first week of May—the largest mass arrest in the history of the United States. This is episode 27 of Stories of Resistance — a podcast co-produced by The Real News and Global Exchange. In this video or recording, AI Philosopher Prince Israel Zaar starts by stating the negative connotations attributed to the word "Peace." He encourages parties in conflict to seek "Fair Peace" by giving tons of reasons while Peace is necessary. It describes and paints a devastating picture of the negative consequences of Wars and the effect on children, women, population, infrastructure, institutions, history, traditions, cultures, economy, the system of government, and the impact war has on the humane conscience or consciousness of humanity. He ends by encouraging every human being to be part of the “Peace Process” that ends war or brings stability and “Sustainable Peace.” Prince Zaar motivates humans to praise and reward the bravery of those who end wars rather than the callousness of those who start them. The recording emphasizes that it's never too late to give peace a fair chance. It's signatured February 28, 2025, by Prince Israel Zaar from the City of Las Vegas, USA.

In November 2023, South Africa approached the International Court of Justice, to consider whether Israel is committing acts of genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza. It also called for an immediate ceasefire. And on Friday, the 26th of January, the UN's top court made its interim ruling. It said, among other things, that Israel must do everything in its power to prevent genocidal acts in Gaza. But the court did stop short of ordering an immediate halt to military operations. So, what's next? Will this ruling change anything in relation to the war in the Middle East? Africa Daily's Mpho Lakaje talks to Palestinian ambassador to South Africa, Hanan Jarrar, and Benji Shulman of the South African Zionist Federation. He also sits down with Dr. Hlengiwe Ndlovu from the Wits School of Governance in Johannesburg, to unpack the recent developments.

On the 7th of October 2023, Palestinian Islamist group Hamas and other factions, launched a surprise attack on Israel. It led to the deaths of about 1,200 people, including foreign nationals, according to the Israeli government. More than 200 others were taken to Gaza as hostages, over a hundred have since been released. Israel retaliated with a series of air and artillery strikes in Gaza. The Hamas-led Health Ministry says more than 22,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed to date. South Africa subsequently filed a case against Israel at the United Nations' top court alleging that Israel's military campaign in Gaza amounts to an act of genocide. But Israel has dismissed this accusation, promising to fight back. The hearing officially kicks off at the Hague in the Netherlands today.Africa Daily's Alan Kasujja has been looking at the significance of this court case.

But when faced with the onset of the Great War, the established socialists blinked, unwilling to risk their heard-earned position and possibly be arrested and have their parties … Continue reading "World War Civ 24: Why socialists failed to stop the war"

Last week, the Pontifical Council for the Protection of Minors had its first meeting since the shocking resignation of abuse expert Hans Zollner, S.J. His resignation over issues “that need to be urgently addressed” led to a public disagreement between him and the commission's president, Cardinal Sean O'Malley, O.F.M. [Listen and subscribe to “Inside the Vatican” on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.] In this episode of “Inside the Vatican,” veteran Vatican correspondent Gerard O'Connell and host Colleen Dulle explain the big questions the abuse commission faces and what is next for this advisory body, following last week's meeting. In the second half of the show, Gerry reports on the secret “mission” Pope Francis says he has undertaken to end the war in Ukraine. The pope was sparse on details, but Gerry's sources have offered him greater insight into the pope's plan and the people he has engaged to reach Russia and Ukraine. China has released a peace plan with the aim of putting forward ideas that could stop Russia's war against Ukraine - but are they realistic? The UN General Assembly's recent resolution demanding a Russian withdrawal shows overwhelming support for Ukraine, but the “abstaining” countries form a stable block. Belarusian partisans reportedly blew up a military plane in Belarus, which is a sign to Lukashenka that internal resistance to his dictatorship is increasing. There are warnings that Ukraine has been given a deadline by the West to end this war, otherwise, it might be pressed to hold talks with Russia. In this new episode of the series Around Ukraine of the podcast Explaining Ukraine, Volodymyr Yermolenko, UkraineWorld's chief editor, speaks to UkraineWorld analyst Maksym Panchenko. How to Stop the War Against Yourself - A conversation with Tara Brach & Dan Harris - It's possible to actually be addicted to self-criticism, especially as a way to keep yourself safe. But evidence shows that rather than safety, this pervasive habit in our society creates deep suffering. This conversation between Tara and Dan Harris dives into strategies to deal with your own self-hatred and cultivate a forgiving heart. Remy and Emily start today's episode unpacking a *political* scoop du jour about a recent SNAP bill (formerly known as food stamps). Remy explains the proposal—to limit the foods that people can buy with SNAP, including no white grains, no fresh meats, and no sliced cheese. Remy and Emily have some thoughts, starting with, is this ethical? This leads into a convo about Gwyneth Paltrow's 2015 food stamp challenge (tbt), before they read a Dear DST about how to cope when someone is making comments about their eating. In this case it's the Dear DSTer's boss, and Remy and Emily share some tips. Then they answer the most important question of the day—what was their last best meal? And share their delicious Last Licks. Check out our latest promo codes here: https://betches.com/promos Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In this short episode, CJ discusses the difference between studying war and living the warrior's life. He makes an argument that society has bred a culture of cutting corners to gain certificates, degrees and trophies instead of doing the hard work and learning necessary to gain true skills. The question is raised as to why these certificates, degrees, and trophies are important if they don't always add value to one's life. He concludes that it is the hard work and dedication that builds principles of a human being that can survive the internal wars of life. Key Topics Why does society focus on trophies and rewards The importance of taking action and becoming a warrior instead of just studying war Encouraging you to take initiative by reaching out to other people, attending events, and attacking goals with passion Connect with CJ Finley: CJ's Instagram cjfinley.com ThriveOnLife Podcast Instagram thriveonlife.com

Scott talks with Ted Snider about some of his recent articles at Antiwar.com. Snider makes the argument that, by deliberately ignoring off-ramps, the U.S. bears just as much responsibility for the ongoing war as any other party. But beyond that, Scott and Snider examine the ways the U.S. and NATO sabotaged Russo-Ukrainian negotiations shortly after the invasion — which Snider argues gives the U.S. an obligation to stop the war before more blood is needlessly spilled. Discussed on the show: “The Back Door to NATO” (Antiwar.com) “Choosing Sides in the New Cold War” (Antiwar.com) “Who Stopped the War in Ukraine?” (Antiwar.com) “Defense Secretary Tells Ukraine It Will Have ‘What It Needs to Defeat' Russia” (Antiwar.com) Ted Snider has a graduate degree in philosophy and writes on analyzing patterns in U.S. foreign policy and history. He is a regular writer for Truthout, MondoWeiss and antiwar.com.
