Andy Caboche is IVORY, the bass music powerhouse unleashing innovative subsonic sounds onto the electronic scene. With an overflowing catalog of trailblazing solo releases, genre-bending remixes, and A-list collaborations, IVORY has solidified his place as a staple dance music heavyweight. IVORY exploded onto the dubstep forefront with his project's inception in 2015. The 2016 single release ‘Retro' skyrocketed to the top of the Beatport charts, achieving the number one spot while garnering mass support from industry figureheads including Skrillex, Zomboy, and Borgore. His debut EP, ‘Hacked,' drew the gaze of major league labels, earning him the first of many releases with NSD [Black Label] and a seat at the Disciple Round Table. Finishing off 2017 with his first international headline tour in Australia, IVORY'S notoriety quickly began to transcend geographical borders. Spending countless studio hours perfecting his craft, IVORY's exponential versatility found international acclaim. The overwhelming success of his 2018 sophomore work, ‘Next Level,' incited accolades from leading electronic heavy-hitters Excision and NGHTMRE. IVORY continued to fuel this fire on stage, gracing renowned venues throughout Europe and commanding the decks on the Spag Heddy tour. Cementing his industry presence, he soon boasted a smoking arsenal of remixes for dubstep dons Herobust, Space Laces, and Dion Timmer. In 2019, IVORY reworked Gryffin and SLANDER's “All You Need To Know,” boosting him further into the spotlight while he secured tour stops in China. The turn of the decade further proved the immovable force behind the IVORY project. 2020 continued his Never Say Die residency with the cosmic ‘Dead Space' EP, a heavy-hitting interstellar journey of thematic sound design. Arguably the most pivotal year for his discography, 2021 saw the artist join forces with Nitti Gritti and Shaquille O'Neal on the chart-topping single, ‘Moshpit.' This song became a setlist essential for EDM's biggest artists, certifying IVORY as a household name in electronic music. IVORY drove the destruction home, ending the year with the aggressively relentless 4-track EP, ‘Bleep Bloop.' In recent success, IVORY's name adorns both premiere labels and legendary lineups. 2022 unveiled his first Monstercat release, as he united with Dani King and Hammerhead to conjure drum and bass anthem ‘Bad For You.' He demolished the stage at Rampage Open Air, and will return to Belgium for Tomorrowland 2023. Looking ahead, the IVORY project is all gas, no brakes, armed with groundbreaking new releases, even bigger shows, and all of the bass. We were so lucky to speak with Soltan about his track, "Romany Adventures" from the album Gorilla Warfare, a collaboration with Shaq. The track is sampled throughout the episode, but you can listen to the song in its entirety anywhere you listen to music. Soltan is the stage name for bass music's most enigmatic producer from the Middle East. By looking at this title, I'm sure you're asking yourself, “what the hell is a paper asshole, and what does it have to do with this episode?” And while I am going to answer that question, I first have to introduce our guest on the show today who explained to me what having a paper asshole meant. You may have seen his name pop up from time to time as the featured vocalist on some of your favorite artists tracks like Kayzo, Slander, Jauz, Zomboy, the list goes on. He is one of the coolest people I've met in the EDM industry, and his name is Micah Martin. And what he told me having a “paper asshole” meant was that there are people that are going to try and screw you over in the music industry. And it's up to you to learn how to navigate around people who might have ill intentions for you and your career. This guy has seen it all, from selling his vocals early on for $200 a song on a few tracks that later made up to $400k in royalties. To seeing artists being forced into contracts that they never wanted to sign.Society Selects Playlist (Updated Monthly / Add any music you are listening to):https://open.spotify.com/playlist/28aag7ZckmpuFJEllz16Um?si=9c5844692dc8408dFollow MicahInstagramTwitterSoundCloudSpotifyShow Sponsorhttp://magazine.eraofedm.com/Underground SocietyInstagramTikTokTwitterSpotifyYouTubeSoundCloudWebsite: www.undergroundsocietypodcast.comSupport the show

In another "Live From" episode of Electric Talk, our host Sean traversed the Northeastern U.S. to Randall's Island in New York City to sit down with one of melodic riddim's hottest artists, Ace Aura. Eric Seall –better known by his stage name Ace Aura– is an American bass music producer and DJ, best known for pioneering the melodic/future riddim brand of dubstep. His unique style has garnered support from the likes of Zomboy, NGHTMRE & SLANDER, Steve Aoki, Zeds Dead, Laidback Luke, Ookay, 12th Planet, Flux Pavilion, Borgore, William Black and many more. 2021 has undoubtedly been Ace Aura's biggest year yet, kicking off with his debut Monstercat release “Stay” with TYNAN. He continued to make even bigger leaps during the coming months, releasing “The Feeling” with Crankdat, and his first sample pack, Melodic Riddim Vol. 1 with Chime (which hit #1 on the Splice charts and remained there for four consecutive weeks). 2021 also saw the release of “Resist” with Subtronics (called an “anthemic record” by Forbes), which helped Ace Aura earn a direct support slot for Subtronics' sold out Cyclops Rocks show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Electric Talk was practically blushing when Ace Aura's team reached out for an interview. Our host Sean almost camped outside Randall's Island the night before just to make sure he got in to the festival on time. Ace discusses what it feels like to play a huge set at Electric Zoo and what he looks forward to the most for the rest of the year. We truly are not ready. Ace Aura's 2020 was highlighted by the release of two different concept EPs (Comatose and reset_environment), as well as “Rise,” “Waiting,” “Sum Buddy” with Dr. Ozi, and the surprise hits “Noddin'” with Millennial Trash and “Self-Love” with Trinergy. 2021 was undoubtedly Ace Aura's biggest year yet, kicking off with his debut Monstercat release “Stay” with TYNAN. Driven by an unwavering determination and passion for his craft, in just under two years Tim Wu – best known as Elephante – has amassed a plethora of flawless productions that have earned him rave reviews from the likes of Rolling Stone, Sirius XM, DJ Mag and Billboard as well as respect from the cream of the dance music elite. His musical maturity and innate ability to create genre-defying hits time and time again have seen the dance pop prodigy win the hearts of legions of fans across the world. Hailing from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Tim began his musical career as a classically trained pianist and singer-songwriter, playing in bands in high school and college. A graduate of Harvard University, Wu realized soon after taking his first desk job that the corporate lifestyle was not for him. He spent every waking hour producing music to admittedly keep himself sane. Finally embracing the “elephant in the room” that was his desire to break free from the monotonous nine-to-five routine, Wu set his sights on the dance music sphere and Elephante was born. Quite literally giving up his day job in order to hone his craft, he continues to make his mark as one of the most innovative progressive and electro house producers today. Elephante's star is most definitely on the rise. ------------------ Tracklist: 1. Elephante, Zedd - Closer X Stay The Night 2. Paris & Simo - Zombie [3LAU Edit] 3. R3hab, Deorro - Flashlight 4.
