In this 25 minute episode, Coach Kim talks about how to take your mindset, which will take your performance, up to the next level this summer by "embracing the suck." You don't get better by doing taking the easy road. We need to overcome big obstacles and challenges in life to really know what we are capable of when things get hard. If you want to know with extreme confidence that you can push yourself beyond your perceived limits when things get hard on the ice this season, you have to put in the hard work this off-season. Completing the occasional "terrible" workout, the ones that are almost too hard to fathom, will give you a physical boost if you recover properly afterwards. But you get an even bigger mental boost from making it through those killer workouts too, and that confidence and believe that you can do anything you set your mind to will make you unstoppable on and off the ice this season.
