However, lurking amidst the fertile soil of our minds are weeds—limiting beliefs that stunt our growth and hold us back from reaching our full potential.By uprooting the weeds of doubt and fear, we create space for growth, resilience, and infinite possibilities. As you embark on your own journey of personal transformation, remember that with each weed removed, you step closer to a life filled with abundance and flourishing potential.Just What are those Limiting Beliefs?Limiting beliefs are those deeply ingrained thoughts and ideas that convince us we are unworthy, incapable, or undeserving of success and happiness. So, grab a cup of inspiration, because we're about to embark on a journey of empowerment and growth!First, we need to understand what this dependent personality disorder is.  Dependent personality disorder (DPD) is a type of anxious personality disorder. People with DPD often feel helpless, submissive and incapable of taking care of themselves. They may have trouble making simple decisions. Now in my book, I don't believe in disorders.  I believe these labels are just challenges and opportunities for growth even though it can feel like a never-ending struggle, where the fear of independence and the need for constant reassurance can hold us back from living fulfilling lives. In this episode we will explore this challenging condition and discuss practical tips to break free from its grip.It is important to seek professional help to understand the underlying causes of dependent personality disorder and work towards overcoming it. He never had new clothes, just hand me downs from other siblings.  When he went to school, there were many others like him but there were others that made fun of him and teased him because he was different.  He was of Hispanic descent and the color of this skin was different. If I can make a difference in one person's life….I am charged. 2022 seems to be flying by so quickly.  Half the year is over and some of you are rocking your year and some of us haven't hit all the targets we set, yes me included.  Some of you may be saying…I'm not ready yet, I'm not good enough, I don't know enough and it's hard to start.   Let's break this down using some quotes by Zig Zigler.  It doesn't matter what your goal is.  It could be growing your business, improving your key relationships, getting healthier or building your wealth.   The first quote.  1.You don't have to be great but you have to start to be great. If we wait until everything is perfect to start, we may never begin.  We may be setting ourselves up for failure.  I've watched entrepreneurs wait until they can completely understand the nuances of a targeted market before they​start any marketing. I've watched clients gather data and information about leads for hours before picking up the phone and having a conversation with the prospective client.  Take action, no matter how small,  and the results will follow. Listen in for some great quotes and insights to being GREAT.

At that time, Irish and Irish Americans were some of the most successful miners to prosper and that is how the saying came to be. Let's dive deeper into that.  Was is really luck or was it, hard work, perseverance and persistence?Luck my friends is simply preparation meeting opportunity. And these “LUCKY PEOPLE” were willing to work harder and longer than others to achieve their dreams of a better life for their families.I want you to consider how this conversation plays into your daily life.Are you lucky, persistent and dogged in order to build a better life for yourself and your family? What does success mean to you? What do you truly desire? Close your eyes and let that vision come to life.Now, let's make that vision a reality!Step 1: Cultivate ClarityClarity is like a lighthouse guiding your ship through stormy seas. It's crucial to know where you want to go before charting your course. Take some time to reflect on your values, passions, and goals. What truly matters to you? What ignites your soul?Here are a few questions to think about as you gain clarity.1.   What do you absolutely feel certain about in your life right now?2.   What do you value most in life right now?3.   Do you feel clear about who you are and what's important?4.   Here's my favorite question.  If I asked you to mentor someone, what would you say to them on how you became successful?Here's a tip: Journaling can be a powerful tool for gaining clarity. Write down the answers to the questions, jot down your dreams, aspirations, and what success looks like to you. Don't hold back, my friend.     This has been a roller coaster week of laughter and tears.  The good news is that the tears were joyful ones of celebration.  I released my first book, "Put Your Big Girl Panties On" with a virtual book launch and quite honestly, I lost it.  The emotions were pent up inside and I just had to let them go!Have you ever wanted to do something and stopped yourself?  I did too.  But not this time.  This time I carried through with the commitment I made to myself. It's just like doing this weekly podcast.  I have been doing it for several years and it does require commitment and consistency and courage to show up every week for you.I want you to live a fully vibrant, energetic, and joyful life. Your comments and ideas fill my tank and allow me to keep on rolling down the highway of personal growth and development and picking up some hitchhikers on the way.I truly believe in the power of personal development and must constantly challenge and renew my energy and commitment to my clients and myself.  I have to stay in warrior mode.So here we are at the end of another glorious year. Some of you think I am off my rocker.  What was glorious about it?  Well, just about everything. We woke up on the right side of the sod, we delved into challenging ourselves to be better every day, we were a role model for others.  We did our first video on social media.  We had excellent business results. We rolled out a new marketing plan.  We attended training to better ourselves and most of all, we loved deeply and encouraged others to be better every day.Reflect on the year and the lessons you learned and before we move into 2024 I want you to declutter your mind and I am going to give you a little exercise to do that. I want you to take out a piece of paper and a pen and answer the following questions honestly.When was the last time you decluttered your kitchen cabinets?Do you regularly wear all the clothes in your closet and dressers?Can you find the screwdriver and hammer in your garage?Did you take the 1 week (or longer) old empty Starbucks cup out of the car?Did you take the week-old empty juice boxes out of the car?Are you in a rut and bored with certain aspects of your life?

Thanksgiving has passed and as we move into December I ask you this…have you looked back on the year of 2023, and said WOW...look at all I accomplished this year.Did you take time to congratulate and celebrate your successes...even if they were small wins such as learning how to use Artificial Intelligence or Facetime Live? Or maybe it was learning how to cook for yourself. We must celebrate more.  It's not about achieving the big hairy audacious goal…it's about taking steps every day to move towards the target.  It's about experiencing the journey and loving the journey. What's next for YOU?  What ambitions do you have for yourself going into 2024?  It's time to regain that zest and love for your job, career, family and fun.What do you BELIEVE is possible?  We are at the end of 2023 my friends… the end of the another year…What do YOU BELIEVE is possible for you, your career and your family.It's time..time to reimagine and take control of your life's ambitions. Do you even like to dance?  What about music?  Do you like to listen to music?This past weekend I attended my nephew's wedding and of course I danced my heart out and I thought about today's subject. The dance analogy is so perfect.  Have you ever gone dancing and were a little reluctant to get up and do your thing to the music?  When you first get up to dance you may feel a little awkward and it takes a little bit of time to get with the rhythm of the music.  Pretty soon you find yourself feeling the music, warming up to the dance and fully immersed in your activity. You are now in the flow of the song and your body is in concert with the music.  When the next song starts up you are already in momentum and feeling the groove, and may step it up a notch. That's when your cool moves begin to show up.As the music further penetrates your soul you lose yourself in the rhythm and flow of the dance.  Time stands stills and when the song is over, you feel energized, and in some cases totally spent.  The movements are so easy and natural. You feel GREAT! You are in your natural rhythm and flow.
