We talked about the Jets bringing in another first time head coach and another first time GM. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with Davante Adams talking to Kay Adams about the Washington/Detroit game. The mayor of Philadelphia tried to chant ‘E-A-G-L-E-S', but she failed at that. Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco talked about Ryan Day and Ohio State. Ichiro is headed to the Hall of Fame, but one voter did not vote for him. CC Sabathia also got in and talked about his career and his ‘home in the Bronx'. The Knicks beat the Nets in Brooklyn. In the final segment of the hour, an 11-year old kid found the 1-of-1 Paul Skenes card. Hour 2 We talked more about the 11-year old kid who found the Paul Skenes rookie card that's a 1-of-1. A caller told us about Staten Island cable as a kid and how you could get the Spice and Playboy channels. A caller said he had a crush on the pink Power Ranger. Boomer wondered how Barney Ruble was able to get Betty as a wife. Someone mentioned ‘Singled Out' with Jenny McCarthy. We heard from lots of dudes that called about the first time they saw a girl on TV that they had the hots for. Lamar Jackson went over to Mark Andrews after the dropped 2-point conversion to say it's the whole team, not just him. In the final segment of the hour, America is definitely rooting for the Bills over the Chiefs. Hour 4 Overnight producer Mike Fliegelman, a huge Jets fan, tweeted something that Boomer really liked. It was in regards to Lance Newmark, the guy the Jets are likely to hire as GM. He does not seem to be a fan and he explained why. The Jets still don't know what's going on with Aaron Rodgers. Gio wants Aaron Glenn, in his press conference, to say, ‘I know it's a mess here and it's going to be a tough job'. Lance Newmark doesn't know about the bus that is about to drive over him. Boomer thinks Patriots fans must be pumped. They got Mike Vrabel and Josh McDaniels is coming back. And they have Drake Maye to play under these guys. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with Dan Orlovsky apologizing for tweeting people yelling at Lamar and Andrews are losers. Nick Saban was asked if he has any regrets (he does). CC Sabathia became a first ballot Hall of Famer and talked about finding a home in the Bron ...

We're still here once more! How dumb are we? We're locked in hot & heavy with Luke schooling Steve from the onset over Derrick Coleman's jersey number. How about that? Govier lives in Canada now & has been watching Luke play softball from across the Detroit River. Luke shares some new comedy with us from some guy named Dan Cummins. Luke saw Hope Davis at a bar once in NYC. Leigh Ann pops in to say hello to everybody! Govier loves to laugh at the whiskey laugh & then the gratuitous cursing from the guy who robs the party store in Robocop. It's so funny! Luke loves boomer TV & has wistful nostalgia for the Murder She Wrote & Columbo days. Then Cancer Boy from Kids In The Hall's Brain Candy shows up. Govier found himself in the crosshairs of someone's rage on the day of the Trump shooting. Never forget that Richard Simmons died that day too. The Joker premise of it's all part of the plan from The Dark Knight remains true today. Govier wanted to share his experience chatting with his co-worker about the Democratic National Convention & how the goal posts for meaningful change can be vastly different for each person depending on several factors. Luke & Govier don't seem to understand each other, which happens on this show. Can you listen to or watch shows where they review a movie in-depth even though you haven't seen it? I am committed to serving you become the best you choose to become.  After all, everything we do is a choice. So here comes the question for this week. Have you ever set a new goal and started to have heart palpitations and start to sweat?I'm not sure about you, but each time I set a new goal that seems WAY beyond my present reach, I've encountered something called "The Terror Barrier”.This is when the body tenses up – I might start to grit my teeth - and a general feeling of panic appears."OH MY GOSH, WHAT AM I DOING?" might also be a question that pops up in your mind. Listen, this is a natural process, and there's a way you can overcome these feelings and replace them with those that are more in alignment with the good that you desire. When this happens, we must literally "flip the switch" and return to a state of peace, gratitude, and knowing that our wish is being fulfilled - regardless of us seeing (or not) seeing HOW we can make this happen. So let's talk about some things you can do to remove the terror barrier.Listen in for some insights on how to break through the “Terror Barrier”.

Exposing the Debauchery In Christian Disguise In 4 parts, By Carole_n_Nice.Listen to the Podcast at Steamy Stories. The Next Day Aftermath The next morning, Prudence and I sat on pillows at the kitchen table and broke fast. Grace had left to take care of both Melanie's and her children. Melanie made a large breakfast that we ate in silence. We finished clearing the dishes and looked at each other. "Okay, Last night needs to be discussed," Melanie stated. "First off, how did your father let this get so far out of control? [[MORE]] Both Prudence and I shook our heads not knowing. "This is too strange." This just happened?" "You both get picked for this Eden Conference out of the blue," she went on. "Why?" I had no clue and I just shook my head again. I heard my sister Prudence whisper from the side, "I might have said something to Prelate Mathias?" Both Melanie and I looked at her stunned! "He kept asking me how things were at home," Prudence continued. "How was our father since the divorce?" "How were you acting, Chastity." "Did I noticed anything different in the house?" "Oh my blessed mother," I cried! "How could you say anything to the Prelate?" Melanie shook her head visibly shaken. "Sister PRUDENCE you know better than to let the bishops and prelates to have knowledge of our inside family!" "What in Lords sake were you thinking?" Prudence broke down in tears. "Father spends all his time with you, Chastity." "Even at the family Eden Conference he was with you, not Melanie who he rightfully should have been." "It wasn't right!" "And you told the Prelate that, Prudence?" "PRUDENCE," Melanie repeated again at a shout. My sister just nodded. Melanie kissed Prudence on the cheek and told her not to worry about it. Just go up and get some rest. Prudence kissed me and apologized. She then went up to her room and slept again. "Melanie?" "What are we going to do," I implored her. She took me by the hand and we went up to my bedroom and laid on the pillow. Melanie I think had a fairly good grasp of the danger we were in. Prelate Mathias was a vengeful man and he somehow took slight at something our family had done. In addition, he knew that something was going on between my father and I, (although she didn't think he had figured out that we had married each other). Excommunication was a real possibility. The community owned all the land our houses stood on. If we were excommunicated, we had to vacate the land and the house that stood on it. We would be homeless and probably without employment. Melanie held my hand as we lay on our bed, heads together on my pillow when a loud knocking came on the front door. Both of us jumped up and came out of the bedroom. Prudence was already standing out on the second floor landing, looking frightened to death. "It is Prelate Mathias and his two grandsons, again." Melanie turned to both of us and told us to hide. She walked down the stairs and opened the door. Upon seeing Prelate Mathias, she curtsied to him and bid the twins good morning. "Good Morning, Sister Melanie," he said pleasantly. "I have come to collect the sisters Chastity and Prudence so that we might finish our Eden Conference from last night." "It wasn't properly consummated and, of course, it continues from vespers of the day until the evening vigil of the next." Melanie nodded unsure if the scriptures he was quoting were correct and said, "My sisters are not here." "I think they went to the Holy One's house in an attempt to see their mother." The Prelate nodded in understanding. "That is unfortunate because if it is not consummated, I would be bound to commence another twenty four hour period tonight or the next?" With that, I watched down the stairs as one of the twins whispered into his grandfather's ear. He listened intently and said, "Why of course!" "Melanie, my grandson has properly corrected me and explained the time would not restart if a surrogate were to replace them." "Perhaps you would like to substitute for one of them and maybe another woman?" "Your sister-in-law Grace maybe?" Hearing this I ran to the window and went onto the second floor roof. I told Prudence to hide and be quiet. I slid down the second floor rain gutter, (something I had not done for several years), and ran around the building to the front of the house. "Prelate, Melanie explained, Sister Grace is watching our children." "I am also certain that many women would be honored to share this moment of atonement with your Grandsons." "However with the late notice they would not be able to give up their household duties that quickly." "That is unfortunate," the Prelate said. "Eminence, I am an experienced woman and have attended a dozen or so of these conferences." "Surely I would suffice to satisfy two young men and we could..." Before Melanie finished her sentence, I opened the door and feigned surprise to see the prelate there. I was driven not to have Prudence go through what we had done the last night. I quickly curtsied to him and the twins and thanked them for the honor that they had given me the previous night. Prelate Mathias smiled and brushed my face. "It is nice to see you daughter Chastity." "I was just asking the whereabouts of your sister Prudence and was explained that she would not be back shortly?" I nodded. "Well the Eden Conference is not finished because it was not vaginally consummated last night." "We don't have your sister Prudence here but Melanie has volunteered to be her surrogate." "I think we have the required number of people here so we should go to my house." With that, he took both our hands and led us off the porch and to his car. As he reached the door, he waited, expecting to have his door opened for him. Melanie quickly ran around the car and opened the driver's side door. The Twins stood there looking at me. I swallowed and opened the door for them. The Prelate started the car and stopped for a moment. "Wait!" "I forget myself!" "I should call your father so that he should finish this most sacred occasion with us." "NO," Melanie said! "Father is out of town on business and will not be back before Vespers." "I see, well maybe I or one of the twins might be able to find a surrogate to fill in for him?" The Twins just nodded and off we went to the Prelates house. As we drove, the Prelate swerved into the auto shop my brother Thomas worked at. He got out of the car. Without a word, he went to the bay my brother was working in and started to talk to him. My brother listened and looked up, looking at his wife Melanie and shaking his head no. After several minutes of discussion, my brother Thomas threw the oily rag he had in his hand on the ground and grimly nodded yes. Several minutes later, he approached the car. Prelate Mathias turned to me and said, "Chastity, would you be kind enough to open the door for your brother?" "Yes your Eminence," I stated and scrambled out of the back seat to open the door for my brother. The prelate started the car and commenced driving towards his house again. After several minutes, he turned and said, "I know we all have had this occasion happen to us without planning." "It would probably be wise to shorten the time spent of consummation as much as much as possible?" "This would allow us to get back to our primary order of raising our families and flock?" We all nodded willing, no praying to get this over with. The two obese twins squeezing my sister-in-law and me together because they took up most of the back seat to themselves. "Sisters Melanie and Chastity, You may perform your self-stimulation rite in the back seat while I drive." Thomas immediately flared up, "That would be unseemly to have two women stimulating their vaginas in the back seat of a car while driving in the community, Prelate!" "Nonsense Elder Thomas!" "You just heard your sister and your wife agree that saving time would be of benefit to everyone." Melanie looked at me and we both knew we had to get this over with. I lifted my skirt up and bunched it around my hips. I reached into my panties and pulled them down my legs. I took them down to my ankles and then kicked them off. Melanie did the same with her panties. "Melanie, give your panties to one of the boys to safeguard them while you masturbate," the Prelate dictated. "Chastity, give your panties to your brother," he nodded to Thomas. I took my panties and bunched them up in my hand. I reached over the front seat and handed them to my brother. I spread my legs open slightly and moved my hand reluctantly over my mound. I started to stimulate myself. Melanie reached over and grabbed my hand. She squeezed it and we both concentrated on making ourselves wet. Several minutes later, the Prelate had another idea, "The twins are innocent." "Maybe you should show them how to stimulate a woman so they will know how to do it when they have wives?" I was bewildered. Melanie leaned over and said, "Watch." She took the hand of the nearest obese one and moved it between her legs. I watched as he took his finger and moved it along her slit. "Melanie, tell him how to do it and you help also Chastity." I grabbed the other twins hand and put it between my legs. I opened them more and watched Melanie, desperate to mimic her actions. Trying to mimic everything she did. Melanie spread her legs wider open, draping one of them over mine and pulling me open at the same time. She took the hand of the twin removed it from between her legs and kissed his fingers. Sucking them into her mouth. I continued to do exactly as she did. She turned to both of them, "Watch between our legs." "Look at our intimate places so that you will know how to finger fuck your wives." I was a little shocked at the language coming from my sister and how graphic she was. The Prelate seemed pleased with her lesson while Thomas just stared out the front window with my panties in his hand. She took his fingers back into her mouth and got them wet, "Make your wife spread her labia for you," she said as she opened herself up. "Have her wet your fingers like I did so that you will have lubrication on them." "This will place you in your rightful position as in command of her cunt." She took his fingers and placed them between the opening in her vulva. Spread wide she grasped several fingers and nodded, "Insert two or three fingers inside her." "That way you'll know if the muscles of her pelvis is responding to your stimulation." "Most women respond better if they have some bulk in their pussy." "Two or three fingers inserted inside her will make her go crazy for you." She took three fingers and placed them inside her pussy. I took TWO fingers and moved them inside me. Dreading that I would have to take three. Melanie reached and took his other hand. With the index finger she moved it just below the base of her mound. "Take the tip of your finger and find the hood of her clitoris." "Massage it until it starts to grow under your finger." "That is it, you have it," Melanie gasped! I did the same thing but I was far behind where Melanie was at. I could see her hips thrust upwards against her fingers. Suddenly, she was screaming, "Oh MY GOSH." "No one has ever made me feel this way!" She ground hard against him and screamed, "I'M COMING!" "I CAN'T STAND IT!" "YOU ARE A STALLION!" I looked up and noticed that the Prelate had pulled over to watch Melanie. She had this incredible orgasm. I couldn't believe it. She had a hard time controlling her breathing. My brother turned around and looked her straight in the eye. She looked up at him and they both smiled!?! Oh my gosh, She faked it. She faked having an orgasm! My brother was having a hard time controlling his laughter. I was not to be outdone! I could put on an award performing performance myself! I arched my back, feeling the obese boy's hard penis pressed between my butt cheeks. I squeezed my legs together and trapped his hand between them. I circled my arm behind me and over his leg and shouted, "PLEASE, allow me to cum, beloved!" "I need to feel your finger inside me." "I... I..." I pushed my backside against him one more time and screamed out, "I am cumming." "YOU MAKE ME FEEL MORE LIKE A WOMAN THAN I HAVE EVER FELT BEFORE IN MY LIFE!" All of a sudden, as I finished Act 1, Scene 2, I felt this wet sticky squirt on my back and dripping down the crack of my butt. He came. He ejaculated because I talked to him? He came all sticky on my back and pressed against his fat tummy. My brother gave me a funny look and looked to the steering wheel. I scooted up on the twin's lap looking like I was trying to get more comfortable and looked to where my brother's eyes were fixed. The Prelate was masturbating! We drove to the Prelate changed his mind and drove to our community house. It appeared he could no longer wait and this was ten miles closer. He had us clean his grandsons' tummies clean with our tongues. We took up their seed in our mouths as they giggled as if we were tickling them. When we entered the house, we were led to the great room. Prelate Mathias took a breath and was about to instruct us when my brother Thomas interrupted him. "I am my father's surrogate." "I will conduct the ceremony Eminence." The prelate was shocked for a moment but smiled and nodded his agreement. Thomas turned to us and ordered us to kneel. We both knelt in front of him and assumed our position of prayer. "Chastity, What are you," he asked? "I am a Woman, brother." "I created the first sin against our beloved lord and I am responsible for having us exiled from Eden." He turned to Melanie and said, "Wife, what are you?" "I am a Woman, husband." "I created the first sin against our beloved lord and I am responsible for having us exiled from Eden." "Wife, as a woman, how will you atone for your sins," he questioned? "Husband, I will pray daily for our salvation, I will obey you, my ordained Elders and my Father in all things." "I will work for them to be accepted into heaven and I will strive to reach the next step of reincarnated myself and blessed into manhood in my next life." "Chastity? And you," he asked? "Brother, I will pray daily for our salvation, I will obey you brother, my ordained elders and my Husband in all things." He quickly went through our requirements by the covenants and had us stand. "Chastity?" "Melanie?" "You may disrobe." Melanie and I turned to each other. She brushed my cheek and actually kissed me lightly on my lips. "This will be over soon, sister." "It will pass." "Let us make the best of it." With that she turned me and undressed me. She would not let me take any garments off myself. When she went to take my panties off, she got on her knees, looking straight at my mound, and pulled my panties from my hips. She smiled up at me and padded the front of my mound for a second, a slight graze actually and stood up. I helped her unbutton the back of her dress and assisted in helping her to disrobe. When we were finished, we stood in front of the twins. "Sister!" "Wife!" "Undress your communicants," he commanded. We both went over and unbuttoned their shirts. I pulled the shirt of one of them, off his arms with some difficulty. I pulled mightily on the shirt and pulled the tail from his pants. I knelt before him and fumbled trying to find his belt buckle. After finding it, I pulled it lose and unbuttoned his trousers. I pulled his zipper down and his pants off his hips. I then pulled his under garments off and he stood naked in front of me. "Take their clothes and fold them neatly on the table." We both looked at him strangely and did as we were told. We took the clothing and folded them onto the table that the donation boxes sit normally at the entrance to the church. Thomas took the ottomans that had been used for Prudence and I the prior night. He placed them in front of the twins. "Elder Brothers, these women are unworthy to earn your cocks." "They must prove their worth to you." "Bend over on the ottomans and present your ass to them." "Have them open you wide and clean you with their tongues." I could see that they were excited because they got hard with my brother's words. I was in shock with my brother's words. My brother walked over to the prelate, took him aside and talked to him for several minutes. When he came back, the Prelate had a pale look on his face. "Now, Brothers, You may order these slut bitches to lick your asses." They both shouted out, saliva actually dripping down their chin, "Lick our asses, sluts." My brother turned to us, "Wife!" "Sister!" "Do as your betters tell you to do!" I was going to vomit. I knew I couldn't do this but I did what my brother said to do. I stood kneeled behind one while Melanie did the other. She nodded to me and I parted the ass cheeks of the one in front of me. As I started to hold my breath, and bend over, I felt my brother jerk my head back. There was a horrible scream and I saw a wooden croquet stake up his anus. I watched Thomas go to the next one, pull his wife away and slam another stake up this one's ass. "I am going to tell you fat pigs, exactly what I told that coward of a grandfather you have." "IF you EVER harm my sisters again, come near our family again, ever say anything against our family again?" "I will damn you in front of God, I and my brothers will stick your asses impaled on a telephone pole like a child's sucker and we'll light the pole on fire." "I will watch you burn on earth before you start your eternal burn in hell." With that, he forced the Prelate to disrobe. Thomas told us to dress. He slapped the Prelate in the face and had us gather their clothes. When we got outside, he ran to his truck and came back with a can of Kerosene. He sprinkled their clothing with the liquid and lit them on fire. "Wife and Sister, it is time to go home." At Home When we got home my husband was waiting for us at the table with Prudence. I kissed his cheek in front of Thomas and said, "It is nice to see you father." He smiled up to me weakly. Thomas shook his head no. "Chastity call him what he is." I looked confused and turned to Melanie who nodded his head. I bent over and kissed him on the lips and said, "It is nice to see you, Husband." Thomas then turned to Prudence. "Prudence, our family was in grave danger today caused by you telling the Prelate family things." "It was caused by your jealousy." "That will not happen again do you understand?" Prudence nodded her head and Thomas bent over and gave her a kiss. "I am my father's surrogate today and I will not cede that right this day." "Chastity, you will not sleep with your husband tonight." "You are the cause of some of this by taking your father away from his first daughter, Prudence." I nodded. "Prudence, you will take father to his bed, please him and take his seed." "You will remain obedient to him this whole night." "Do you understand?" She nodded. I watched my husband go up the stairs with my sister. I felt emptiness as they walked together, hand and hand. I realized my sister had been seriously hurt by our marriage. "I plan on going to spend the evening with Mathew and Grace," Thomas stated. "Melanie will stay here with you, Chastity." I stood up and kissed my brother's cheek. "That is not necessary, Thomas." "I am perfectly fine in the house by myself even with Prudence being with my husband." "Thank you but Melanie should be with you." "Chastity, you do not really understand much, do you sister," he said? I was at a loss. I had no idea what I did wrong. "Sister, you not only hurt Prudence." "You tore Melanie apart," he said to me. "How?" I turned to Melanie. "I've tried to be a good sister to you, Melanie." "I love you," I pleaded to her. Melanie stood up, looked at me and said, "And I love you also, Melanie." I looked even more confused. "Melanie, I love you more." "Like a husband loves a wife." "I've always loved you." "I have loved you since we were children." Thomas turned to me and nodded. "She has always loved you and I have known it before we were married." "She told me that," he said. "she told me as part of our marriage and it has made our marriage stronger for the truth of it." "We sometimes pretend during love making that we share you in our bed." "For I love you also." "So tonight I am still your father as your husband has gone to bed with your sister, "he smiled. "You will do as I say and Melanie will bed you." "She has earned this one night with you and tonight it is in my power to give it to her." "So sister Chastity, you will take the Eden oaths in front of my wife tonight." "Now both of you go." With Melanie Melanie opened my door with a silence that almost shattered my eardrums from the echo in my ears, "She has earned this one night with you and tonight it is in my power to give it to her." I got into the room and immediately fell to my knees in front of my sister-in-law. I commenced the recitation without prompt and I felt her palm clasp over my mouth. "Chastity, lovers do not get on their knees and pledge to obey because someone did something thousands of years ago and they want to take some guys seed." "They hold each other, make each other feel safe and wanted." With that, she took my hand and brought me to my bed. I felt her lean towards me and place my lower lip between her two lips. She sucked on it momentarily and then kissed me softly, fully on my lips. Her tongue caressed my lips between her kisses and her hand gently caressed my shoulders. Melanie laid me on the bed and twisted my legs counter clockwise so that my head would be on the pillow and my feet at the foot of the bed. She lay down beside md and kissed my ear, saying nothing but kissing. Her hand across my tummy and holding my waist to her. Her tongue licked my ear, slowly boring inside it until I found the nerves in my ear connect with my pelvis area. She swabbed inside it and curled her tongue upward as she withdrew it from my ear canal. I felt her hand move to my bonnet. I straightened up automatically, rigid and said, "NO!" "That is for my husband." Melanie pushed my bonnet off the back of my head and stroked an absent strand of hair off my forehead. "Chastity, it is just hair." "It is supposed to be something that only a husband sees but no other male." "I am your sister, Love." "It is allowed." She stroked my forehead and my eyes started to close as if she was hypnotizing me. I felt her arm move and I looked up and she had taken her bonnet off also. She laid her head next to mine and our hair spread over the pillow, intertwining each other. The softness of her breath on my neck and the warmth of her body next to me, made me close my eyes and shortly later, I had fallen asleep. When I awoke, darkness had taken over the sky and she was still looking at me, stroking my hair. "How long have I been a sleep, sister," I asked her? "Two plus hours," she said as she looked at my face. She was a truly beautiful woman and with a grace that few of us achieve. I smiled across to her as she lay next to me. "Go shower and I will be with you shortly." I showered in water so hot I could barely stand beneath it. I washed thoroughly and felt completely refreshed. There was a night dress set out for me and I quickly robed. As I was brushing my hair, Melanie came in and smiled. "Sister Chastity, come with me onto the bed." She had changed into a night dress also. I sat down and she had prepared a light meal of fresh slice fruit, yogurt and cocoa. As we munched, she started to explain. "Sister, they teach us how to make ourselves wet so that men may gain entrance to our legs." "The church teaches us to spread our legs so that we may atone for the sins of someone I have never met and died eons ago." "Tonight, I will teach what our bodies are truly meant for." With that she told me how my brother Thomas had an open relationship with my brother Mathew and his wife Grace. Now that I was married to my father, they wanted me to be included in this group. She had been chosen because she actually was in love with me. They all agreed it would be done better with a woman who had a non-blood relationship with me and one who enjoyed being with another woman. She cleaned our plates off the bed and came back on it. She gently pulled me down on the mattress and began to kiss my neck. Her tongue was licking my neck as she made her way up to my ear. I felt a light kiss on my ear and her tongue starting to probe in it. She stroked my cheek with her hand and she continued to send little shock waves with her tongue in my ears. She moved her hand across my cheek and presented two fingers to my lips. I realized I was to take it in my mouth. I took the wrist of her hand, opened my mouth and took her fingers into it. I sucked on her fingers, as if it were a man's penis. I held her wrist and my tongue licked the fingers and sucked on them. I pulled her fingers nearly out of my mouth, holding the wrist taut enough to ensure I could suck on her fingertips. She withdrew from my ear and sat me up. I could feel her reach for the hem of the long night dress and tug it from underneath my rear. She knelt on the bed and took the night dressed, bunched around my waist and lifted it over my head. She kissed me fully on the lips, her tongue teasing mine and laid me back down. I lay naked but for my panties in front of my sister. She moved down the nape of my neck and started kissing again. She went down with her lips until she was barely touching the beginning swell of my breast. I pulled her head against me, forgetting me with another woman. Her hand moved up and cupped my breast fully. Her fingers teasing over my nipples. "Sister, take your breast and offer it to me." "Give me your breast and feed me as if I were YOUR child, Charity." I cupped my breast in my hand and held it to her. She hesitated and I pulled her head gently onto my breast. She suckled me as if she was a nursing baby. I squeezed my breast between her lips as if to give her my milk. I had this flash, my eyes closing and all of a sudden I realized; I was going to orgasm. My toes went rigid and I closed my legs tightly as she sucked my nipple harder. "I think I'm going to cum, Melanie," and with that... I did! Crashing inwardly onto myself with a whispered moan. I kept coming in soft waves for a minute or so and finally collapsed on my bed. After catching my breath, I turned to Melanie and questioned, "How did I do that with you just on my bed?" Melanie smiled, "I have heard a woman can cum with just someone sucking on their breast." "I have never seen it and certainly have not experienced it myself." "Clearly you can!" She lay down again next to me, but lower. Her eyes level with my belly button. She was at my tummy kissing it, her tongue again tracing wet spots across it. She came to my belly button and took her tongue. She wet it, and then pushed it inside me as if to clean it. It was like she did with my ear but this time I felt I had an almost direct connection between my navel and my vagina. "Open your legs for me, Chastity," my sister told me. I opened my legs for her and felt her hand press against my mound. Her hand trailing over my vulva and pressing against it. I pushed my hips up to meet her palm. Her middle finger started to make teasing little forays between the lips of my vagina. Never much more than the fore finger but so teasing, I kept trying to push it in. "Chastity, say it." "Tell me what you want, Sister." I looked at her hopefully. "I want you to finger me, Melanie." "Finger you where," she questioned? "My vagina, Please, Melanie?" She would not go in further. "No Chastity." "Your brothers Thomas and Mathew will want you to be explicit." "Tell me." "Talk dirty, Chastity," she urged. "I want you to finger fuck my cunt, Melanie." "Please make me take your finger deep inside me." She took her fingers and started to plunge in and out of me. Her thumb, pressed against my clit. My clit exposed itself to her thumb and I swell under just the simple pressure she put on it. I was gasping when she knelt between my legs. She bent over my pussy and started to lick my clit. I curled my toes involuntarily. She moved her fingers out of my pussy and I was about ready to shout, "NO!" I felt her take those two fingers and manipulate them between my butt cheeks. She moved in gently and I reached down to spread myself for her. "Slowly," She said. "Take my fingers slowly and slide yourself onto them." I did as she told me and pushed myself onto them until I had them both inside my ass. She took her other hand and placed two fingers into my pussy. She started finger fucking both holes. I could feel her stroking the wall of my butt as if it was but a paper thin layer between my ass and my pussy. She leaned over and blew against my swollen clit, finger fucking me the whole time. "I have to cum, sister." "Please??" With that she sucked my clit in between her lips. Her fingers in my pussy she used to impale me to the bed and the ones in my ass she started to fuck me with. I jumped upwards in a semi sitting position and my ass started to squeeze her fingers. My muscles started contracting and I could not hold it any longer! This time I just screamed, "FUCK ME!" I did it over and over until I finally stopped. I fell to the bed some minutes later. Melanie let me rest for several minutes. I felt her move her hand over my mound and thought to myself, "Not again?" "I can't." She moved between my legs and I could feel her straddle my leg. She clutched my thigh with her leg and started rubbing her vagina up against it. At the same time, she pushed her thigh against my pussy and urged me to rub myself against her thigh. "I'm going to teach you to trib, Sister." I looked at her completely confused. "I'm going to teach you how to fuck another women." She was moving very fast, sliding along my thigh as if in a race. I then remembered I had cum twice and she none. She slowed down trying to let me catch up to her. After several minutes, she lay down with her head opposite to me. She took her legs and pushed down so that her pussy made contact with me. We were like two inverted scissors with our middle connecting spot pushing against each other. She looked down and said, "Fuck me sister." "Make me cum little sister, harder than I made you cum." I took her leg and wrapped my arms around it. I used it as leverage and pushed my cunt hard against hers. I moved back and forth across her pussy and pushed my hips forward as if I were a man trying to fuck her. "Oh yes, Chastity." "That is the way to fuck a woman," she said. With that, I could feel her pussy start in contractions. She grasped me hard and said, "NOW!" "MAKE ME CUM NOW!" "FUCK ME." She grasped me hard. Pulling at me as she continued to cum. As she reached half way through her orgasm, incredibly, I had a third orgasm! We pulled on each other and sang a duet of "Oh Blessed One!" "Oh fuck yes," together. We finally finished. Melanie came up next to me tugging on the blanket and pulling it over us. We spooned together with me in the front. She wrapped me in her arms and said, "I love you." "I love you too, Sister," I whispered. I fell asleep shortly after that. By Carole_n_Nice for Literotica

She turned to both of them, "Watch between our legs." She took his fingers back into her mouth and got them wet, "Make your wife spread her labia for you," she said as she opened herself up.

NBC Universal Studio Exec. Shares How To Build Professional Relationships

The Debbie Nigro Show

Michael Swanson Sr. VP Production NBC Universal Studio Group, was just featured in the Forbes Magazine article called, ‘How To Build Your Network” by Maya Richard-Craven.   Michael who's a giver by nature, was called on for his expert advice. He shared that ‘helping other people is a great way to form long- term relationships”.  When it comes to creating professional relationships, Michael says, “Go out of your way to be of service with a genuine motive and an earnest heart”. “Then over time, someone may ask if there is anything you need."  Since 85% of jobs are filled through networking rather than traditional hiring, (yes, it's true), then Michael's advice should help lead you in the right direction to build your career.  Michael's own professional journey has been one of working his way up through hard work, and is filled with many accomplishments. Being of service to many along his jounrey has surely led to the many professional relationships he has come to enjoy. Besides being an Emmy Award winner, and a Hollywood TV studio executive, film producer and theatre producer, Michael is also a visionary entrepreneur and President and CEO of the entertainment company, Faith Filmworks.  At NBC Universal, he's the studio executive responsible for the production of Universal Television's Parks and Recreation, Hacks, The Good Place, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Good Girls, Never Have I Ever, Community and Master of None. And throughout his distinguished career in entertainment, Michael has produced movies to critical and audience acclaim including All About You, All About Us, For the Love of Ruth, To Hell and Back, Andraé Crouch: Making The Journey, Two Seasons, Notre Dame First Time Fans: Legacy, The Wayman Tisdale Story and Fannie. He's a guy many in the professional entertinament business aspire to meet, but if you do meet him, please don't ask if he has a card! Or a QR Code! LOL Michael said, " I find that a little off-putting. I think it's more important to really engage a person and get to know him or her, ask questions, but in a very genuine and authentic way as opposed to kind of bouncing around collecting information and calculating in your head what's the best way he or she can help boost my career or advance my career so I can climb the ladder. Frankly in my opinion it's just the opposite. How can we be of service to others? I find that when you are in service to others in a genuine way, with an authentic heart and no ulterior motives, but really just want to help and learn, then I think there comes an opportunity where that executive or that person can eventually reach back out to you and say, you know what, you're doing such a great job. Is there anything I can do for you? How can I help? And then it becomes a more authentic relationship and it can even perhaps turn into a long-term mentoring relationship. And I think that's the best way to navigate a career because it's a little bit more personal. It's not about just taking from someone but learning how to be of service to others." I'm personally aware that networking is challenging for people who don't have ‘connections or ‘experience' in their fields yet, but I always champion the idea of finding ways to meet the people you want to meet, especially in your desired industry, ‘in person'. I think ‘in person' matters for connecting genuinely with people. For getting them to ‘see' who you really are.  How do you think I got Michael Swanson on my show today right after Forbes got him? I had the good fortune to meet Michael ‘in person' when he was in NY from LA when The Temptations and The Four Tops performed at the Westbury Music Fair in Long Island NY. Michael, is involved with the Tony Award Winning Broadway smash hit musical ‘Ain't Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations' and is also co-producing the upcoming Four Tops Musical, ‘I'll Be There' with my buddy Paul Lambert and Duke Fakir. Duke is the only surviving member of the group.   Michael is a beautiful human with a beautiful family. He serves on the board of directors for Wedgwood Circle, Notre Dame's Performing Arts Advisory Council, Success Through Education Program, FEAST and is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. A South Side of Chicago native, Michael resides in Los Angeles with his wife of 29 years, filmmaker and screenwriter Christine Swanson, and their four children. Michael Swanson joined me live from LA on The Debbie Nigro Show to share much more of his warm advice about how to build your professional ‘relationships'.  Enjoy the podcast of our conversation.  If you prefer to read, the Audio Transcript is below. ************************************************************************  AUDIO TRANSCRIPT  0:00:00 And now, back to the Debbie Nigro Show! 2 0:00:24 Okay, life is all about relationships. Let me explain, okay? Actually, I'll let somebody else explain. Hi everybody, I'm Debbie Nigro. I am so excited to introduce you to my next guest. You know, I always say meeting people in person matters, right? I really do think it totally matters, especially in this virtual world we live in. I met Michael the night I went to see The Four Tops and also the Temptations at Westbury Music Fair in Long Island back when. It was a wildly fabulous night.  I met Michael and met his lovely son. What a gentleman. There was something very special about him and there's something very special about him that you guys are going to sense and find out about right now. Michael is a giver by nature. He's not only some big wig Hollywood TV studio executive and film producer and theater producer, which he is all those things, but he is a guy who's created relationships over time that have been really heartfelt and he's spending some time right now educating others on how to do it. Forbes just did a story on how to build a network of professional relationships. He was their first person. They went to interview him as an expert. What Michael said that really just needs to be shared because he's a giver by nature, I mentioned that, is that helping other people is a great way to form long-term relationships. So more about that, but first, welcome Michael and thanks for helping me out by coming on my show today. 1 0:02:10 Good morning, Debbie. It's so wonderful to be with you. Thanks for having me. 2 0:02:13 You're welcome. So you, being the first guy that Forbes called about relationships, probably took a moment, sat back and thought, wow, all my life's work has mattered because I know this matters to you. You have incredibly important advice to people about giving before taking. 1 0:02:31 Yes, yes. I think we are all called to be of service. One thing about networking and mentoring which Forbes wanted to focus on is how do you do it? What's the best way for someone who has had a long career and they wanted me to give advice and some tips. My whole thing is not about going to networking events and some of the less savvy networkers may their first question may become, Do you have a card? 2 0:03:01 Does anybody have a card anymore? 1 0:03:04 Yeah, I know, right? QR codes. Can I scan your QR codes? I found that a little off-putting. It's not about just taking from someone but learning how to be of service to others. 2 0:04:23 If somebody didn't know you and know that you are this heartfelt guy that you are and just saw your title, Hollywood TV studio executive, film producer, theater producer, and they were a young person trying to get into the business. They might be very intimidated by approaching a gentleman like yourself. You're giving some good advice, but how would you like someone to approach you if they were trying to get to know you? 1 0:04:48 My advice would be to simply be yourself. When I meet with a lot of especially recent college graduates or young professionals, that's my advice. There is only one you in this entire world who God has created. So be yourself because no one can be better at you being yourself than you. And then I find that you will relax, you will get centered, you can be yourself and communicate without trying to morph into someone else who you think you're supposed to be to move ahead. 2 0:05:21 Has anybody ever tried to impress you by doing something really out of the box to get your 6 0:05:26 attention? 4 0:05:29 Probably Debbie. But I don't know. 1 0:05:33 I can't think of anything right now. 2 0:05:36 I guess I'm thinking of something funny and I'll share it with you because you did you know one of the key points that was Made in the article and that you know I made Promoting your being on the show today It says that 85% of jobs are filled through networking rather than traditional hiring which is very loud It's a big number and what came to mind is you know a father Always tries to help a daughter or a son and my father God rest his soul He's dead 40 years now once went and repaved some guy's driveway and put in all new shrubs for a guy who wasn't in the TV business because he wanted to make sure he knew who I was by the time I called him. The guy woke up like, what? He didn't even know who I was. So I'm just saying that's funny but people do crazy things to try and get attention to create a relationship and that's the only reason I brought it up. But if in fact 85% right of all the jobs are filled through networking rather than traditional hiring. Like why do people even bother with these, you know, sending resumes into a virtual, you know, hole, a black hole? 1 0:06:36 Yeah, it can become very, rejection is hard for any of us, right? And so when you apply for a job, and even repeatedly sometimes, and you get that rejection or that disappointment, it can be deflating, it can be discouraging, it can even sometimes become depressing because it's like, I've done everything, what can I do? But I have hope in that 15%. You didn't say 100%, you said 85%. So stay positive, is my advice. Stay encouraged and keep submitting. Also, this is one thing that I like to say, which has been true in my life, God will take you to where He needs you to be when He needs you to be there. Sometimes we get rejections or we don't get that job or we don't get that meeting or we don't get that promotion. Sometimes perhaps it's for our own protection. We just may not know that. I'm a big believer, believe it or not, in failure. I think failure is your friend. The key is to learn from your failures, learn from your mistakes, learn from the setbacks, because all of those things are equipping you and preparing you for where you ultimately will end up. So it's not always a bad thing. You know, it's like adding tools to your toolbox that informs how you proceed. So life is hard, right? There are challenges, there are ups and downs, but stay encouraged is the advice that I always get. And importantly, you have to know that things take time. Things take time. Hang in there. Don't get discouraged. Most overnight successes are about ten years. It takes about ten years. 2 0:08:25 At least. Right? 9 0:08:27 I think I'm just peaking, Michael. 4 0:08:28 I love that. 8 0:08:29 That's okay because you know what, Debbie? 2 0:08:30 All of the experience and all of the knowledge and all of the things that you've learned 4 0:08:31 and now you've continued to hone your craft all of these years, it just makes you even 5 0:08:32 more prepared for where you are now. 7 0:08:33 Yes. 1 0:08:34 And have an even bigger platform. So I'm okay with that. I think we live in a microwave society now. Yep. And I think we live in a microwave society now. And I think we live in a microwave society now. And I think we live in a microwave society now. And I think we live in a microwave society now. And I think we live in a microwave society now. And I think we live in a microwave society now. And I think we live in a microwave society now. And I think we live in a microwave society now. 5 0:08:46 And I think we live in a microwave society now. 1 0:08:47 And I think we live in a microwave society now. And I think we live in a microwave society now. And I think we live in a microwave society now. And I think we live in a microwave society now. And I think we live in a microwave society now. And I think we live in a microwave society now. It's okay to put things in the crockpot. Let things simmer. I like that. Let things simmer. 6 0:08:59 Let things simmer. 2 0:09:00 I like that. Let things simmer. Let things simmer. Let things simmer. Let things simmer. Let things simmer. Let things simmer. Let things simmer. Let things simmer. Let things simmer. Let things simmer. Let things simmer. Let things simmer. Let things simmer. Let things simmer. Let things simmer. Let things simmer. works, your celebrated entertainment production company. But you're also the production executive on so many shows that we all love and know, Parks and Recreation, The Good Plays, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Master of None, Good Girls, Never Have I Ever, you've been out there in the movie world, Oh My Gosh, All About You, All About Us, For the Love of Ruth, it goes on, Broadway, Ain't Too Proud, The Life and Times of the Temptations, and then of course the upcoming Four Tops musical with Duke Fakir, the only living member producer and your co-producer. I'm excited to know you. I have to think that as you look back at your life and you are having this conversation with me about how important relationships are to going forward in a career, who is loud in your head right now that helped you along the way? Somebody that did something nice for you in your business? 1 0:10:02 Oh yeah, well you know so many people, Jerry D'Acanio, Clay Mattel, Adrian Backus, there are so many people who have impacted my life, my career. Mentors who I've had, Erwin McManus, pastors along the way like Charles Stanley. You don't always have to know. I know all those folks or know of them, but most of them I've had personal relationships with. But I also want to share, you don't have to know them personally. You can have a mentor or someone who can be very influential in your life or your career by reading his or her book, by listening to their podcast, their interviews, by kind of studying their business decisions, if they are entrepreneurs, kind of seeing what pivots they made when the landscape was changing. So you can learn from everyone, even if you've never met him or her along the way. Excellent. That has really impacted my career and my life as a husband, father, friend, executive and entrepreneur. 2 0:11:12 Excellent advice. And we do live in a world where there is an exorbitant amount of information for everybody to tap into free of charge if they have the energy and the desire, right? Absolutely. Let's talk about your family real quick. I know you have a beautiful wife you married to a long time who's also a great talent, Christine Swanson, and then you have four kids. This is a beautiful life you're living. And I've met one of your sons who was adorable. Which one was that? 1 0:11:35 That was Cole. That was our oldest son, Cole Swanson, who recently graduated from college and now he is doing his thing. He is also in the entertainment industry. He graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Art and focused on directing. So we have another filmmaker in the family. 2 0:11:50 Awesome. And the other kids, are they in the business? Are they coming up behind you? 1 0:11:55 I think they are, Debbie. You know, I have a rising sophomore at Stanford University who will probably major in filmmaking and business. I think he has a great producer's mind. My third son, Luke, that was Kenji who is at Stanford, my third son Luke recently completed the acting and theater workshop this summer at USC. Although he is a rising senior in high school, he wants to study acting and he would say be an on-screen actor to make it clear. I said, well you have to start in theater, that's where you really get your training. And then my daughter Julia is entering high school and she is just as smart as anyone. I think it would be great to have an entertainment attorney in the family, so who knows what her career path would be. But Christine, my wife, and I are blessed to have wonderful children. We've been married 29 years, about a week ago. I'm really grateful and just trying to raise some grounded children in Hollywood. 2 0:12:52 Wow, that is a huge accomplishment. So Michael Swanson, you're doing great. Thank you so much for being my guest today. I remembered your good energy when I met you in person. I knew that you would be accommodating and love to share your information about what you said in Forbes, which is how to build a network of professional relationships. Remember, helping other people is a great way to form long-term relationships. Go out of your way to be of service with a genuine motive and an earnest heart. Michael Swanson, NBCUniversal Senior VP of Production, you have a terrific day. Thank you, Debbie. 1 0:13:24 You too. Thanks for having me. 6 0:13:26 See you again soon, I hope. 2 0:13:27 Okay, real soon. 1 0:13:28 Bye-bye. 5 0:13:29 Bye-bye. Bye-bye.

主播:梅莉 | 翩翩歌曲 :What Makes You Beautiful(开头)Show Me [by Audrey Assad](结尾)Happy New Year! 今天是2023年第一天,凡事预则立,不预则废,let's plan for 2023!给新年set some goals(定目标),是为了让自己用a clear mind(清晰的思路)以及positive intentions(积极的意图)来开启新的一年。尽管,可能有之前设定的目标are still not achieved yet(没有实现),没关系,请相信,在2023年there will be many changes(会有很多变化),以及new adventures(新的奇遇) to come。2023 will be a good one!这期节目是我们新年计划系列的第二部分,建议大家先听上一期2022年反思总结,然后再做2023年计划。我们总结了8个提示问题(prompts),来帮助大家更好地设定新年目标。Prompt #1 : What is your theme for 2023?你的2023年是什么主题?这个theme具体指:l the energy you want your year to represent 你的精力放在什么地方l you want to have in your year 新的一年你想拥有的东西具体一点,比如说:l to be bold and courageous大胆一点,勇敢一点l to go slower and heal 节奏慢一点,治愈自我Prompt #2 How can I embody my theme this year?我怎样实现我今年的主题?有了theme后,重要的是to have a plan on how you are going to achieve them (要有一个实现它们的计划)。要brainstorm(头脑风暴)一下:l How you are going to start living this theme?怎么样才能开始把这个主题活出来?l What changes you need to make to add this theme in your life?要做哪些改变?总之,you need to make some real changes(真正去做出一些改变),才能把你的新年主题加入到你实际的生活中。Prompt #3 How do I want to evolve in 2023?2023年我想成为什么样的人?Evolve这个词,native-speakers很常用,evolvemeans to grow and change,这个词指的是演变、进化、发展。这个可以从这2个方面来着手:l habits习惯l your personality言行,或者说性格这个问题可以帮助你在个人成长方面set the intentions(新年立志)。Prompt #4:What do you want to release in 2023? 具体点比如说,释放掉:l comparing myself to others 跟别人比较l caring about what other people think of me 太在意别人的看法l eating so much junk food 吃垃圾食品何不好的东西,你都可以列下来,然后下定决心,release them。Release the bad things,然后好福气才会进得来。Prompt #5:What are your main goals in 2023?2023年最主要的目标是哪几个?认真梳理一下,what goals you want to set(2023年,你想要设定的目标)。一旦设置好,make sure to prioritize them(把这些目标放在首要位置)。所以,在列你的the list of priorities(优先事项清单)的时候,认真考虑:l whether it is really something you want to do 你是否真的想做什么?l is another goal maybe more important 另一个目标会更重要吗?而且,main goals也不要太多,3 to 5 goals就差不多。目标太多,you will be overwhelmed(会被压垮),而且you won't be able to focus on all of them(没法集中精力)。少则得,多则惑,列重要的、有限的几个目标即可。除了列出目标优先级,还有很重要的一点,你还要write down why you want to achieve this goal next to it(在每个目标旁,要写出为什么定这几个作为你的年度主要目标)。而且,你的目标,都应该让你离dream life 更近一点。要好好写写 “why”,因为他们会keep you motivated(让自己充满动力)。Prompt #6 What area of my life do I want to focus on first this year?新的一年,我想集中精力于生活中的哪一个领域?The different areas of your life(生活中的不同领域)可以是:l health 健康l career 事业l relationships 人际关系l personal growth 个人成长l travel 旅行……生活中有很多领域,你要集中你的精力于其中一个,to prioritize it(优先考虑它)。认真选一个,然后focus your energy on it(把自己的精力扑上去)。先搞定一个,if you feel like you have space to do a new one(后面有空间、有精力的话),you can add on another area(可以再加一个)。Prompt #7:How do I want to transform myself in this area?在这一领域我想如何转变?一旦确定下来自己要集中成长的领域,就要问问你自己:how you want this area of your life to look like one year from now(你希望一年后,在这一领域会变成什么样子)?你需要真的专注于你选择的领域,然后to evolve, to nurture and to transform(去成长,去滋养,去转变)。Prompt #8:What are some things I could start doing today that would guarantee an absolutely horrible year?有哪些事情,如果我从今天开始做,一定会让我这一年过得特别烂?比如说:l staying up late 熬夜l spending so much time on phone 刷手机时间过长把这些列出来之后,问自己:How can I avoid doing those things(如何避免做这些)?这8个提示问题问完之后,我们就可以break down our goals(拆解目标),and plan them on a quarterly(按季度), monthly(按月), weekly(按周) and then daily basis(每日)。一段时间之后,你会发现:OH MY GOSH,SO MUCH HAS CHANGED!Start from now!从现在开始,好好计划一下你的2023。祝愿大家都能拥有丰盈充实的一年。欢迎大家留言告诉我们:What is your theme for 2023(你的2023年的主题是什么)?Happy New Year, everyone!

I am so excited to number one connect with you, but to talk about a topic that I don't talk a lot about which is something that I'm excited to really talk about with you today. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Yes, thank you so much for having me. Kimberley Quinlan: So welcome. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: I'm excited. Kimberley Quinlan:  Yeah. Look at you. You're all the people who don't see, you're like everything's bright and it's so happy. It makes me so joyful just to see you. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Thank you, anybody. That has met me. Will get it. I'm a very colorful person. Thank you. Kimberley Quinlan: I love that that we need more of you in the world. Kimberley Quinlan: I really feel Yeah, good thing. I made children that sort of created more of me, right? That's the best I can do. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: I we need more of you. A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  You go. There you go. Kimberley Quinlan: All right, let's talk about supportive siblings. Let's talk about… A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  Yeah. SIBLINGS AND OCD Kimberley Quinlan: how the family can play a role in recovery. I kind of want you to take the lead here and tell me everything, you know. So tell me a little bit about why this subject is important to you and how you used it in clinical and in the field of OCD. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Yeah, absolutely. And so I'll give you just a little bit of background. I always have been interested in sibling dynamics, and in fact, when I was in grad school completing my thesis, I even consulted the director of the program. I said, Are there any theories about siblings? And he's like, well, you know, there's the one by Alf or Alfred Adler on birth order. But really outside of that, no and that has just always been so entirely profound. Because when we think about family work, if you're looking at family theories, if you're looking at different types of family interventions and models, a lot of them really focus on parent child. And when you're dealing specifically with a child who has an, I'll go into the physical medical side as well, because I don't think this is exclusively just OCD or just mental illness. Kimberley Quinlan: Mmm. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: when we're seeing that a lot of times, the model is fixated on the child with the medical issue and the parent And what I was finding was that siblings. They kind of get othered In this. It's full process and the definition of other. It is essentially, you know, being excluded from meetings being excluded from family sessions being excluded in some way, shape or form. Now I could see how potential listeners will say, Well, isn't it that child with the OCD the child with the medical issues othered Yes, I'm not debating that at all, I'm saying, primarily within the family unit, that the sibling themselves can get very other and siblings struggle when their sibling has a disorder. You… Kimberley Quinlan: Mmm. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: they can struggle emotionally, they can struggle behaviorally. You know, just looking at the construct of OCD, they could struggle with the with the grief. Of their sibling having OCD, the moods that may come with the disorder. And oftentimes, this can lead to resentment within the sibling relationship, or even guilt or shame. And I I have siblings, and I think this potentially might be even where a lot of my work is very important because I am very close to my siblings. I am super close. Like I I feel like I'm very fortunate. I have, I have amazing relationships with my siblings and so it absolutely breaks my heart when you see a child. A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  Who who has this? Some type of distance within their sibling relationship either because they themselves have the disorder or their sibling has the disorder. And so, I started finding different ways to incorporate siblings and to the therapeutic model. I'm really big into family work. I don't understand how special when you're working pediatrics pediatrics. And that's primarily what I'm going to focus on today is a pediatric work. I don't understand how when you're working with pediatrics? How you you can't have the family involved? To me, that doesn't make any sense because we're seeing, especially in the outpatient world, we're seeing these kids an hour a week, so tops four hours a month. Pretty sure there with their families, a lot more than just four hours a month. and then thinking about, A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  The siblings. What can we do to make them feel like they're not being other? How can they also not be parentified? Because that's sometimes happens within the disorder. World is the siblings may feel that they have to have some type of responsibility for their siblings medical issues. And that is Absolutely. I don't want any sibling to have that. I want them to have a childhood. I want them to be kids, but how can we incorporate them without parentifying them and without othering them and also bringing in the family as a whole and tackling this beast together whether that's OCD or whatever? That beast might be. 00:05:00 Kimberley Quinlan: That's so interesting because as someone who treats OCD but also treats eating disorders, I have found that, you know, you'll treat the one child who has the primary disorder. We get them better. And then a year or two later, the other kid that didn't have the the diagnosis starts to suffer and all this emotion comes out and they start to really acknowledge how painful it was for them and and it all comes out later. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Okay. Kimberley Quinlan: But I know that there are other cases where it comes out during and you've got multiple things happening at once. So, that is why I think this is so important is Kimberley Quinlan: In my early days of treating you would be like, no, that the siblings. Fine. Look at how well they're doing. They're they're doing well in school and it's quite a miracle,… A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  Yeah. INCLUDING THE WHOLE FAMILY IN OCD TREATMENT Kimberley Quinlan: isn't it? But then Yeah, it all comes out, right? It all comes out. So I love that you're talking about this, right? So you you And number number one, before we move on. Is this true of not just siblings, Would we say? This is true of partners of OCD or eating disorders or depression as well. Like Does this spread to that or… A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Yeah. I I agree a hundred percent,… Kimberley Quinlan: What are your thoughts? A Peaceful Balance Wichita: you know, this, I hate to call it curriculum because that makes it sound so sterile. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Process I guess I'll call it and I feel that this process is and as as you know aforementioned it's not just about OCD. I can see this being across the board for any medical issue. Absolutely. It could be for Let's a roommate. Let's not even like let's let's take out the family part. Kimberley Quinlan: um, And here. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: You know what, working with a college. I college student, who has a roommate that, maybe they're pretty close with. Absolutely. I if they're willing to bring that person in, How can we incorporate them? Because doesn't that client win? That's what we're wanting… Kimberley Quinlan:  Yeah. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: because we know that no matter what your medical diagnosis might be relationships, struggle, and… Kimberley Quinlan:  Mm-hmm. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: that absolute last thing I would wish upon anybody. Kimberley Quinlan: yeah, I'm even thinking of me as someone with a chronic illness On how I think it even like you said it stretches to medical to like that. You know, I know I look back until tell a quick story. I look back to when I was really sick and really sick. And I even remember seeing my children, Starting to play a parental role on me. Like, What do you need today? Mom, instead of like, No, I'm supposed to be asking you that Hun. Like, I think that it's,… A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Yeah. Kimberley Quinlan: it can spread. So I I think that this is that's again why? I think this is so important. So I'm gonna skip to my main sort of questions here. Now, it's like you talk about what is called a coach Like an OCD coach. I know I've watched one of your presentations like Do you want to share with us What this model may look like? BE SEEN MODEL A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Yeah. Absolutely. So before I even talk about the OCD coach, because that's not like, I'm not reinventing the wheel, this isn't something that I think a lot of your listeners are going to say, Oh like that's that's a new thing. No, it's not a new thing especially when working pediatrics. That's a pretty common term because that's what we really want these parents, or caretakers to be of these kids. As we want them, to be able to learn how to do what we are doing with their kids. So they don't have to be in therapy forever. So, I developed this process and I call it BE SEEN  seen as an acronym, because why not us medical professionals. We love our acronyms. So let's make another acronym. And also it's really easy to just to remember Kimberley Quinlan:  Right. A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  And I chose this specific, acronym one. It fits the letters, really nicely of what I was hoping to explain throughout this process but also for a couple different reasons. One I have OCD and I struggled as a child and adolescent and one of the primary factors in my own recovery, that was so A profound was I realized I did not want to be seen. I did not want people to note because I felt I felt bad, You know that shame just smothers you like a blanket and it just it it was embarrassing. And then I was thinking about it from the other side of siblings. 00:10:00 A Peaceful Balance Wichita: When you have a child who has a chronic illness, you think about how often, are they going into doctors appointments? How often are they going into whatever type of treatment facility? They may they may be utilizing. The sibling is often and they can get hidden. They can get hidden. And if I in fact, I think it was Chris Baer who did unstuck who actually called the sibling, the forgotten child. and I,… Kimberley Quinlan: Such a crisp, man. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: I absolutely, I'm gonna, I'm gonna get to how that whole thing. Actually, kind of birthed this idea here in a bit. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: But thinking about just how profound it could be for the sibling to be seen. And as I mentioned before,… Kimberley Quinlan:  Hmm. SUPPORTING SIBLINGS DURING OCD TREATMENT  A Peaceful Balance Wichita: I don't want them to be responsible for their siblings treatment. That is so incredibly inappropriate. And I want them to have a childhood, but I also want them to participate and have a relationship with their sibling. So when I think of an OCD coach essentially, how I define an OCD coach, is going to be that's going to be the adult figure. So that is going to be the person that is going to take the the child to therapy to treatments. That's going to be the main one, utilizing, exposure and response prevention therapy. They're going to be kind of the one overhead and I like using the word coach. A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  Because one, I really like sports and I just think that there's something kind of neat about a coach because a coach is going to be, they're gonna be tough. They're gonna be fair. And at the end of the day, all they want is for you to win. I just think that's such a cool concept and when you tell that to a parent, a parent, a lot of times can say, Okay, so I get that because I could say, I want you to be the parent to the kid but also think about a coach because when you have your child on a team, OCD FAMILY THERAPY: INCLUDING SIBLINGS AS “ASSISTANT COACHES”  A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  In OCD Family Therapy, that coach is going to be tough. And I'm not trying to take the emotions out at all because we know coaches can be incredibly empathetic. The coaches are probably going to push your child a little bit more than you would put child. And so putting yourself into that role and thinking about this is for a win, I know my child might be hurting, I know my child because they're doing the exposures because you're not allowing them to have the OCD accommodated, you're pushing them to grow. So, Putting yourself into the coaches role versus only solely. The parents' role can be such a powerful metaphor for parents and I just really, really love that. So when I'm looking at the siblings, I call those the assistant coaches, those are the ones that can assist and help out. The players. A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  So the child that is in OCD  therapy or in treatment or whatever necessarily it might be and so be seen. So each letter of scene represents something s is supportive. How can you support the child? And I've actually created Worksheets, that are age appropriate for the sibling and the child with OCD, which again, it really could be any kind of medical thing because the acronym really doesn't exclusively cover OCD. They can do this together and so s is supportive finding different ways to support and A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  With the worksheets that I've developed with ages five to 10. I just love this. It's it's an art activity and the kids together get to draw them slaying. I mean I'm using quotation marks slaying the OCD monster or making a can of like OCD away spray and so it's just a really, really cute. A activity to do and again because it's ages five to ten, that's such a level of mastery and explorative and, you know, they, they like to draw in color and play at that time. So, even if their sibling with OCD, it's a lot older. Think about what an amazing bonding experience that could be, you have a five year old sibling, and a 12 year old with OCD, that's a pretty cool, a situation able to put those two together to talk about it. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Because then that five year old. I mean, how empowering and beautiful that is is like, okay, so you know, sibling older sibling, I'm going to draw a can of a way spray, and this is what it's going to do, and it's gonna get it's gonna help get rid of this and this. And we know that children think so highly a metaphors. That, that could be such a really cool way for them to interpret that. And to be able to understand that because we also don't want little kids to well, it's not, we don't want to, it's they just simply don't have the cognitive abilities to understand OCD comprehensively So let's find age appropriate manners to be able to do that. 00:15:00 Kimberley Quinlan: Yeah. DEVELOPING EMPATHY DURING OCD TREATMENT A Peaceful Balance Wichita: And then the next one is developing empathy during OCD treatment. I'm not gonna lie doing an empathy exercise with kids can be a little bit challenging and I think I think that because the Emotions are so complex. In situations are so complex. And so I was trying to find a way to be able to put this in a manner that A five-year-old is going to comprehend and yet also like a 15 year old is not going to think is to babyish. Kimberley Quinlan:  Yeah. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Per se. So it's a it's another worksheet because they're all worksheets it's another worksheet where the siblings can work alongside each other and it really can go either way. It usually works better if the child with OCD goes first. And so the child with OCD can share a so, for instance, I feel disgusted. When I'm around a bad food, I'm just gonna say something super blanketed and then the child the sibling with who does not have OCD could say, Okay? So let's talk about disgust. When do you feel disgusted? And they might say I feel disgusted when my parents make me eat broccoli. And so that's just a really cool and simple way for them to see that this is, you know, we can we can relate on emotions. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: And we don't have to agree on your, on your emotional reaction, but we can all we can realize that we all have these emotions and this is how we can bond. And for a young young child,… Kimberley Quinlan:  Hmm. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: This could also be a really cool lesson in emotional intelligence, because they may not necessarily understand or comprehend. All these different kinds of emotions I'm not gonna lie. I think this might be my favorite one because I think this really encompasses a lot of different things. I love empathy exercises, I'm sure you like being big. Kimberley Quinlan: Well, I think it builds on that common humanity, doesn't it? A Peaceful Balance Wichita: But it really does. And that's the whole point is, you know, going back to what I mentioned about being seen, we're all humans and we're flawed and we don't want anybody to feel like they have to be perfect in this process and we don't want anybody to feel like they have to be all knowing, because there's such a beautiful way to which is actually Um, I was gonna go back to support. I've already talked about supportive, but it's a really cool way to support each other. and also not feel like you have to be an expert or Creating them per say,… Kimberley Quinlan:  Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: all right. So then the next one. The next E is encourage this one and the worksheets is make a sign. So like if you were at because again, these are assistant coaches and I'm kind of using the metaphor of sports or games or like, if you're running along a marathon, what sign would you hold for your sibling? And so, then they get to make a sign for older kids. It could be a Post-it notes, have Post-it notes, and then put it like in your siblings lunch or on the bathroom mirror, draw a picture of them, make a card for them, You know, finding different ways to encourage your sibling with out feeding and to the OCD. That could be a really big part of it. Because let's say, for instance, you have a sibling. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Who their OCD attaches on to the color? Black black is death. Black is some. Well, you know what, we're just not going to draw with the color black because it's not the siblings responsibility to do the exposures. Unless that is something that has been discussed actually in the therapy session, because, again, I can't say it enough that I do not want the sibling, to ever be in charge of treatment, or exposures or anything along the lines of that, of course, without actually working with a therapist beforehand. Kimberley Quinlan: Right, right? Can I ask you a question really quite just to clarify Tim? A Peaceful Balance Wichita: And yeah. Absolutely. Kimberley Quinlan: So that parent is the coach. Right? And… A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  Yes. Yes. Kimberley Quinlan: then the child is the assistant coach, you mentioned. Do they get assigned that or… A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  Correct. Kimberley Quinlan: Do we just call them that? Do they know they're the coach? Do we use those words? Do we assign them? That? What are your thoughts? A Peaceful Balance Wichita: I think that could really be up to a parent. Those are just terms that I've used you. 00:20:00 Kimberley Quinlan: They're like,… Kimberley Quinlan: conceptualizations. Okay. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Exactly it… A Peaceful Balance Wichita: because children work, so highly with metaphors and they can use whatever, I had a child. Once say, a lot of want to be a coach, I want to be a cheerleader. Cool. Then you could cheerlead we really kind of whatever it's like… Kimberley Quinlan:  Okay. Kimberley Quinlan:  Right. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: if they want to be the waterboy, I mean I don't care as long as they whatever they can conceptualize it as and we can still kind of follow this supportive method fine. Kimberley Quinlan: Yeah. Okay, thank… Kimberley Quinlan: I just want to clarify that. So okay,… A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Yep. Right. Kimberley Quinlan: we're up to we're up to N. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: That's just great. I say in is non-judgment. And this is the part that we really, really, really like to push that OCD is not your siblings fault. Absolutely did not ask to have OCD. They're not doing this on purpose to despise you or for whatever reason. And also realizing that as the sibling, the way the sibling with OCD behaves is not the siblings fault. This can be a part where you have some psycho education and learning more about what OCD is and what OCD is not. And finding different ways to be able to talk about that. Because that itself can be very difficult and… Kimberley Quinlan: Mmm. Right. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: I have, I do a lot of OCD psychoeducation when I work with families. And this is where I was going to bring unstuck back. I think that even before going through this process with families unstuck in my opinion I I'm sure other professionals you know, have their own ways of doing it but I find it to be one of the most profound psycho education methods to use for families. Because, and I'm, I do you work with kids as well. Okay, I'm sure you can, you can relate that when you're having that Psychoed session with a kid, it gets lost. They're done. They're bored. They're just like, well can I just do something else? When you have a which I love that, it's like 20 minutes, it was so made for kids the unstuck documentaries. It was beautiful. And kids talking about OCD to kids. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: I mean I I don't know how it it is more impactful than that. Because a long treatment, it's funny enough, my clients will actually refer to the kids in the movie. Like oh, okay. Well, that one boy. Um, he was able to wear Hulk mask or that one, that one girl was able to hug a tree. Oh, that one. She ripped out pages of the Bible and they'll actually refer to that and they see that as being incredibly empowering. what that also does is it lets the parents know that here are some kids… Kimberley Quinlan: You. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: who I mean, you hear their stories, you know that those were pretty severe cases These are kids who came out the other side and are in recovery. and they're talking about these challenges, they're talking about How difficult it was for them. And so when parents are learning about ERP for the first time, it's it's very scary, it's very and so I think it's not only powerful for the children with OCD and their siblings but also their parents to be able to see this documentary, I can't speak highly enough about it, but that's not why we're here. Kim, we're not here to talk about this documentary. Kimberley Quinlan: No, but I think I mean that's the beauty of the community, right? Is we all bring little pieces to what's so important. As you're talking, I'm thinking like A Peaceful Balance Wichita: That. Kimberley Quinlan: He sees that movie because that's the impact it's having. I mean I've seen it and I loved it it's so it's when we can't miss the siblings, right? Like that's some important piece. So I love that you're talking about that and I do think you're right. Question totally off topic. A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  Yeah. Kimberley Quinlan: But on topic is, when you're with a client, do you? Encourage them to watch on stock. Do you bring the family in and do this training with them? What kind how do you apply these concepts in session or Are you know, for someone who doesn't have therapy, what might they do? A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Oh, okay, I'm gonna answer that. Someone who doesn't have therapy. Might what they do. I'll go. The therapeutic route to begin with, of course, after you solidify the diagnosis? Which again, for kids can be boy, that can be a challenge that can be such a challenge. So, this is after diagnosis, This is just part of the therapy. I do I, I will say, Okay, so bring in the family and I would say, I would love to have siblings here and they'll say, Well, the sibling is five or six, is that? Okay, absolutely, because you will be surprised at how aware the young sibling is going to be their older sibling. 00:25:00 A Peaceful Balance Wichita: And all time, you will also be surprised at how much accommodation the young child might be doing because they might see that as being. Well, that's just my older sibling. My only can't cut food. Kimberley Quinlan: Yeah, right. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: My older sibling doesn't walk down this one hallway. That's just how they are. Well, we also want to teach them that, you know, this is this, This has a name and here's some ways that you can be encouraging for your sibling. And so I have an entire session where I invite the entire family in and we watch the movie and then we process it together. and from there,… Kimberley Quinlan:  Right. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: We go on to. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Week, We go on to just write right away going on into the bc model and figuring out different ways how the sibling can be involved. Not other not excluded and then we'll go into more of kind of like, the clinical stuff, the Y box, exposure, higher and… Kimberley Quinlan:  Yeah. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: and so forth. But you ask, how can people that don't have therapy being able to utilize this. Honestly, it's on silly. I I'm probably the. Okay, there's two ways. I'm very competitive but I'm not competitive. When it comes to This this work, I post these worksheets for free on my website because this is something that I'm not here to make a profit off of it. I'm not here to, I'm not even gonna copyright it because at the end of the day, if we can help one sibling feel heard, Cool. That's it. That's that's amazing. No, no amount of money or… Kimberley Quinlan:  Right. And A Peaceful Balance Wichita: anything could ever be better than that? Kimberley Quinlan: We can link the links to these worksheets in the show notes. You're comfortable with that. That would be amazing. Yeah. Okay,… A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  Absolutely. Kimberley Quinlan: that is so cool and so people can kind of work through them on their own. Okay. A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  Mm-hmm. And in fact, there there was a family that I worked with whose younger sibling had had some special needs. And what I did with the parents, is I just kind of briefly explained this to them and because they know their kid better than, I know, their child and they know How how their child is going to be able to kind of understand process. This, they were able to take the information they did and that they needed to be able to help out the sibling who now helps out. That the sibling with OCD. Kimberley Quinlan:  Yeah, yeah. Okay. So a couple of quick questions that I want to ask is so and it's a sort of going off of some past cases that I had. So what about the the sibling, Who's just really angry. Kimberley Quinlan: the situation at how the, you know OCD has made their family, very For treatment before they were getting resources. Do, do they There's those children who have a lot of resistance to this idea of being a coach. You work with that. Is it through the empathy? Do you have any thoughts? A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Door. And that's a fantastic question. Because we can't, we can't force. We can't force anybody to do anything. And I kind of view it like the child with OCD, If the child with OCD does not want to do the treatment. Well, then my job as a clinician is to meet that child while they're at and… Kimberley Quinlan: Yeah. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: that very much with the sibling, you know, of the child with Ocds, I'm gonna have to meet that sibling where they're at, if they don't want anything to do with this, if they want nothing to do with any of this process at all. I'll do one of a couple things one. I, I might refer the sibling on to a therapist who doesn't necessarily like they don't necessarily have to treat OCD but they can understand OCD comprehend OCD. Well enough to be able to have a conversation. And sometimes the sibling is like, Well, I'm not the one with the problem. I don't need to go into therapy, so I'll do my best. I can to coach the parents and help them to support that sibling as well. Kimberley Quinlan: Right. Right, so. Okay and just conceptually. So the parents are using the parent. Coaches are using the bc model the children. A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  Yeah. Kimberley Quinlan: If they're ready and willing, they're using the bc model. And the person with the disorder or the medical condition is also using the bc model. Be seen model for the sibling and the family correct. A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  Yeah, I mean this this doesn't have to just be with OCD, In fact, you know, as as I'm looking at just the the acronym of seeing, I don't know if you just has to just reach the medical stuff. Because at the end of the day, don't we generally want to be supportive and empathetic and encouraging and non-judgmental humans. I think just kind of a neat model just to teach our children in general. 00:30:00 Kimberley Quinlan: Mmm. Yeah. Kimberley Quinlan:  That's what I was thinking. business sort of, like, 101 Training to be a nice. and like, A Peaceful Balance Wichita: It really is it really? Like I said, I'm not reinventing the wheel, you know, I was able to use some different strategies that I've learned with. So originally as a therapist, I was on the way to becoming a play therapist. And a lot and also dealing with Dr. Bruce Perry's neurossequential model of. Oh My Gosh. Oh my gosh. Why can't I think what it is? It's his nurse sequential model for trauma. That's what it is. Oh wow. And then just just pulling different plate therapy, text me techniques. And I kind of just establish this thick this and… Kimberley Quinlan: Yeah. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: you're right. This is basically just Yeah, I like how you said 101. Be a nice person. Kimberley Quinlan: Yeah, but the truth is and that's why I think it's so important is we all are nice people. We all want to be but when we get hit by a disorder, It's easy to go into reactivity as a parent. I know for myself or as I've seen, you know, siblings it's easy to go reactive. So these are sort of basic tools to come back to the basics and and recalibrate,… A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  Exact. Kimberley Quinlan: which is why I love it. Okay. So no,… A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  Ly. Yeah. Kimberley Quinlan: I love this so much is before we finish up. Is there anything that we haven't touched on that? You want to make sure we address here and we're talking about Supporting the siblings, but supporting the person with the disorder, any I've missed. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Um, can I list some resources? Oh, okay. Kimberley Quinlan:  And please. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: There's really not a ton of information out there about how can the sibling be involved with any medical treatment to be honest with you and I'll focus specifically on the OCD portion. Of course, John Hirschfield's amazing book in regards to family at the,… Kimberley Quinlan: On a family,… A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Yes at the very tail,… Kimberley Quinlan: I see. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: and he talks about different ways, family members can can be helpful. Natasha Daniels on her YouTube channel, she's so great. They're all great everybody. I'm listing is like All Stars. She specifically has a video about how to talk about OCD with young children and I think there's actually even more specific video about how to talk with siblings. Dr. Areeen Wagner on the Peace of Mind Foundation website. There is a whole slew of stuff about how to talk with siblings and I think the Bear Family is even involved in some of those presentations as well. And then this is gonna sound silly because I'm gonna shout out another podcast. Is that okay? A Peaceful Balance Wichita: Okay, there's a couple on the OCD stories that they talk about siblings. Jessica, Surber rested. Kimberley Quinlan:  Yes. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: One about her own experiences being a sibling. And then, this is an older one. Maybe two, three years ago. Dr. Michelle Witkins. She does a lot of advocacy for siblings and so she has an amazing podcast on there where she talks about that work. Kimberley Quinlan: Right? No, I will link to Eyes and you know I'm a massive stew fan so don't wait. Don't worry about it. No, I he's been on our show. I've been on his show a bunch of times. We are very much in Communic. A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  I figured, I don't think there was a feud going on. Kimberley Quinlan: Around food at all. No, that's that's so good that you have those and I will list those in the show notes for All as resources to use. I love. Thank you so much for sharing all those and we will have links to your sheets as well. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: ah, Kimberley Quinlan: You can An excellent resources. A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  oh, you're sweet. Thank you. Kimberley Quinlan:  Well, I am so grateful for you to come on and talk about this. I think it's really, really important that we talk about siblings, you know, address the whole family because it is a family condition, right? Thank you. I'm so just overjoyed to have you on the show. A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  Well, thank you. I'm overjoyed to be here. Kimberley Quinlan: Where can people hear from you or get information about you? A Peaceful Balance Wichita: So my website, so my practice name is a peaceful balance, Wichita Kansas, and my website is a PB wichita.com. and really, to be honest with you, probably the easiest way to To contact me is on Instagram. I'm probably on their way more often than I'd like to admit and… Kimberley Quinlan:  Yeah. 00:35:00 A Peaceful Balance Wichita: my handle is at anxiously balanced. Kimberley Quinlan: Love it and you put some amazing exposure lists and movies. It's so good. You but no it's so it's such a huge resource. A Peaceful Balance Wichita: I think I have way too much fun with those. Kimberley Quinlan: If you're looking for specific movies, documentaries songs, I think you do a great job of listing exposures. A Peaceful Balance Wichita:  Thank you.Kimberley Quinlan: Thank you so much.

It's been a minute since we've done a life update and I thought it was a good time for a check in chat as I'm approaching the almost one year mark of selling the company that I started when I was 20 years old… and sold when I turned 40.    Twenty years of owning and operating a business where I created beauty products and sold them online and through a home shopping network and in some of the largest national retailers and throughout many countries. And the professional side of the business where I manufactured and sold pro spray tanning equipment and products so industry pros could offer the pro spray tanning service to their clients or start their own business doing it.  It was a big business and had lots of moving parts and it was my first baby.   So I wasn't sure what selling it would mean for me personally and what I would do next.    I have an ideas book that I have on my body at all times and I would write notes about what set my soul of fire and I loved the most about being an entrepreneur and I wanted to sort of give it time to settle and figure out what I would start next.  And then, the craziest thing happened that's never happened in my business life before, I sort of fell into the next right thing.   Sharing my journey and so many inspirational tid bits along the way today.      In the first few months, I organized my life and kept notes on what I wanted to do and not do.  I knew I wanted to have freedom and experience new things and feel the HIGH of entrepreneurship again.  It looks different in ages and stages of your life.  I was done managing a big team for awhile- but love the opportunities that exist now.    Being an entrepreneur can be the most exciting thing ever- for so many reasons.  How it makes you feel, the money you can make, the freedom to design your life.    I'm so passionate about entrepreneurship because of what I can do for your life.    So I was sorting out my life and people would DM me on IG or get my email or ask questions through a mutual friend we have. Hey I know you did this in business, can I pick your brain etc.  Advice turned into coaching / mentoring …  I was like sure, but I can't commit to long term.    I know the value that all my experience in business brings. And I am so passionate about women building businesses and doing what they love.  And life FULLY so you feel alive and fulfilled. And not just living in routine.    To me, it all adds up to you being the strongest and best version of you.    What would it look like if you decided that you were going to take your business and grow it so it's life changing… or start a business that is?    What if you REALLY believed that you can make the crazy dream happen?  What if you committed to doing the hard work, and sacrificed NOW for freedom LATER (and forever!)  Instead of saying… when I hit X amount of followers then I will be ready to start.  Instead of saying… there are already too many people in this space, realize there is space for the unique you.    WHY are so many women unhappy with what they're doing?    To me, the meaning of life is doing the things you LOVE with the people you LOVE.  So if you aren't getting enough of that, we need to recalibrate.      Here are the things I've done: -opened a day spa and ran it for years and sold it once we were at max capacity.  -created a beauty brand - with over 24 products  -sold online through strategic marketing tactics  -sold on home shopping network -got into major retailers and supported their sales  -trained teams across the country -created another beauty brand with a top YouTube influencer  -increased sales year after year while having babies  Here are the ways I can help people in business:  -finding manufacturers, getting products made -making a game plan for your success  -getting in front of buyers for your product or service  -marketing your service in creative but low cost ways -working with influencers to sell your product or grow your brand  -start a podcast -start a blog  -the ins and outs of Shopify and selling online- direct to consumer  -growing retail business - store or spa set-ups  -using social media to promote your service/brand for FREE -working with brands / collaborations    For our 30 days together, we are business besties.  I help in whatever way you need. I just take 2 clients per month so we can really have the time to make huge strides in our month together. We first establish what works great with your business and what you think you need help with- what your life looks like now and what you want it to look like.    **Now if this isn't for you now, keep it in your back pocket because it could be one day.    It's not just about building the business but about building a life that you're obsessed with.  Knowing that what worked for you before might not work for you today.    Sometimes you just need someone from the outside to give you the push, or open doors for you.  That's the key.    As your business bestie, we work through the FEAR if we need to!    In the mentoring that I've done so far… this is what I've learned.   -Some people need help getting out of their own way.  Stop telling yourself the story about past mistakes or how someone else doubted you.  To let go of the judgment of yourself or shame around something.    -Other women needed an outside perspective.  OH MY GOSH how I needed this at points of my business.     -None of us are here to be the 70% version of ourselves.  We put up our own barriers that don't really exist.    -Rather than looking for outside validation, what if we realized we had the power to unlock it all - we've had the power the whole time.  We just have to make the decision.  Commit and work hard for.    -After enough practice, it becomes WHO you ARE.     -You have game changing MAGIC that just needs to be called on.    -Let's find out what you love the most and what you're best at and how to make it so big that it changes your life.    -Some people need help with the mindset shift… other people need help with the tactical and practical steps that it takes to reach the next level.      I'm so excited to meet more of you and chat to see if it could be a fit to work together.    Life after selling my business has been all unexpected in the best way possible.  It feels so great to fall into the next thing that feels SO RIGHT on SO MANY LEVELS.  I get to dive into different businesses and see huge progress quickly and see changes and how it affects lives.    And for me personally, life after selling my company, feels so rewarding because I'm using ALL of what I learned - the fails and the wins- and the people I know to help other people make magic happen.    And I believe so much in what I do because I've lived it and I've done it.  I worked 12 hours a day for most of my life.  I'm not a mentor or a coach that teaches about coaching.  No shade to anyone for doing what they do - but I've never understood business coaching without playing the game yourself- for a long while.  Because there is so much to do and learn.  I have the passion and the confidence because I have lived it and put in the hard work to learn what I don't know and get my mind right for the headaches and the struggles and the hard months and to learn what I don't know when I need to know it.    And the other thing I am working on!! Is sharing awesome things!  I love sharing the best things in a certain category or ways to make your life easier or gift more thoughtful gifts and all that.  So my team and I are working on a cool daily awesome thing concept that is unlike anything I've seen- just not done the same way so I'm super jazzed on bringing that out soon too.    And then we'll see what's next!!    DM me @LindsaysCloud on IG about working together or email me LindsayDickhout@gmail.com and let's chat about your business.  CHEERS to all the things that make us feel alive and the best versions of ourselves!

"Pride in all who serve," the post read, accompanied by a rainbow flag emoji. This representation of America's elite flying warriors serving under a flag other than the flag of the United States raises some doubts about the priorities held by current military leadership. The photo and the substitution of the pride flag for the American flag prompted jeers from Twitter, including comment from Navy vet and Human Events Daily's Jack Posobiec who joked, "The Air Force has switched allegiance. And here I thought the Navy would be the first to go." The Air Force's embrace of progressive politics has translated into a number of public initiatives that have left people raising similar concerns as the ones surrounding the absentee American flag. In March 2022, the Air Force celebrated 'transgender day of visibility' and as The Post Millennial reported, "cited President Biden's initiatives as a reason that they believe gender identity is part of their purview." The trend continued into April when the Air Force promised to create a 'safe space' for cadets to 'share perspectives.' In May, a US Air Force base in Germany cancelled a scheduled Drag Queen Story Hour after an expose from The Post Millennial. The questioning of the prioritization of progressive initiatives by the U.S. military comes on a series of notable blunders from top military officials such as critical race theory fan, General Mark Milley. Milley failed to predict the fall of Afghanistan and undermined former President Trump, telling China he would warn them if the US planned to attack. The United States Air Force also recently lowered their fitness standards again in a move that's happening across all branches of American military. For instance, the Navy! https://freebeacon.com/national-security/pride-month-heres-how-the-navy-is-training-sailors-on-proper-gender-pronouns/ The Navy is training its members to create a "safe space" by using proper gender pronouns in a new instructional video modeled after a children's show. https://youtu.be/kIQ9R25hXPo -Play 0:00-2:11 OH MY GOSH. Lord have mercy! The official training video is meant to emphasize "the importance of using correct pronouns as well as polite etiquette when you may not be sure of someone's pronouns," according to the Navy, which late last month published the video online. The Defense Visual Information Distribution Service touts the video as an "official U.S. Navy video" posted by Air Force staff sergeant John Vannucci. The video is the latest bid by the military to foster a more sensitive environment for its members and staff. The Army mandates similar gender identity training and trains officers on when to offer subordinates gender-transition surgery, the Washington Free Beacon reported in March. These programs are part of a larger push by the Biden administration to make the military more welcoming to transgender individuals. The nearly four-minute Navy video emphasizes how members can create "a safe space" for their colleagues by using "inclusive language" that signals they are "allies" who "accept everybody." Service members must take these steps to ensure they do not "misgender someone." The Navy also warns staff against pressuring an individual to disclose his or her gender pronouns, saying that colleagues may still be in "the process of discovery" and not yet ready to provide this information. Let’s shift focus overseas, as China is apparently on it’s way to having 4 aircraft carriers. Based on that last article I went through, isn’t that comforting? https://www.19fortyfive.com/2022/06/china-could-soon-have-4-aircraft-carriers/ China Could Soon Have 4 Aircraft Carriers China says its military build-up in the last several years is part of its “peaceful rise.” One aspect of this strategy is shipbuilding, particularly the construction of modern aircraft carriers like the Type 003 Fujian that just launched in Shanghai on June 17. The Type 003 is similar in scope to the American Ford and Nimitz-class. But the new carrier is conventionally powered not nuclear. So, what is next for China’s defense industry? Perhaps it’s the Type 004, which could be China’s first nuclear-powered flat top. This means that Beijing wishes to operate its navy worldwide in a true blue-water fashion someday. While the Type 003 will need a few years of sea trials, and it is not clear when the testing will commence, this is still an impressive development for the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN). It potentially allows up to three carrier battle groups that can be deployed in the East and the South China Sea to put fear into Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea. The Type 004 is up next. There have been clues that PLAN aircraft such as the fifth generation FC-31 Gyrfalcon and J-15 Flying Shark carrier-based fighters were seen on satellite imagery training for flight deck operations. This could mean the stealth FC-31 could fly from a carrier someday and be a mainstay on a fourth PLAN carrier. China naval analysts, according to the South China Morning Post, revealed that construction on the Type 004 would combine breakthrough technologies – perhaps nuclear propulsion. SCMP’s Minnie Chan wrote that “Shipbuilders and ship propulsion engineers are keen on making a significant breakthrough with the construction of the fourth carrier,” a source close to the Chinese navy said. “It will be a technological leap for the shipbuilding industry … but construction may take longer than for its sister ship due to the different propulsion systems.” Chan unveiled another source who said the “China State Shipbuilding Corporation is to use nuclear power for the fourth carrier.” China Has Nuclear-Powered Submarines The PLAN has 12 nuclear-powered submarines – six attack boats and six boomers. So nuclear propulsion for a carrier is within the realm of possibility. So, all the while China is bolstering a strong and masculine military, and getting shiny new toys, we’re teaching our soldiers, airmen, and sailors about the proper pronouns… moving on… CWWI DNB: Did you know that more than 75% of those raised in evangelical, Presbyterian, and Reformed churches don’t pursue any kind of Christian higher education? Surprising isn’t it. Cornerstone Work & Worldview Institute is seeking to provide a new, exciting, and affordable option for Christians. Their mission is to build Kingdom culture in the workplace by equipping their students in a Trinitarian worldview and vocational competencies. Their low-cost full-time program offers integrative course modules, internships, and mentoring so their students can finish debt-free with vocational preparation, a robust faith, and financial potential to build strong godly families and homes rooted in their communities and churches long-term. Visit their website at www.cornerstonework.org to find out more about enrolling. https://www.based-politics.com/2022/06/20/this-federal-stimulus-program-cost-taxpayers-850k-per-job-saved/ YIKES: This Federal ‘Stimulus’ Program Cost Taxpayers $850k Per Job Saved, Study Finds President Biden’s multi-trillion-dollar “stimulus” legislation, the American Rescue Plan, may go down as one of the biggest failures in history. It has failed to produce the promised jobs, wasted countless billions, and worsened inflation. Now, a new study reveals yet another way the behemoth stimulus effort failed. Remember, the legislation allocated an astonishing $350 billion—roughly $2400 per federal taxpayer—to bailing out state and local governments. In the Democrats’ telling, this money was necessary because local governments were cash-strapped from the pandemic and needed help to avoid laying off front-line emergency responders. This was always a lie, because the expected state revenue shortfall never actually happened. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the unnecessary “stimulus” money sent to state governments has proven laughably ineffective. A new NBER study by Jeffrey Clemens, Philip G. Hoxie & Stan Veuger estimates that the program spent roughly $855,000 for every one year of employment it preserved. That’s right: The feds spent nearly a million bucks for every job they “protected” for a year. (That’s probably about 10 to 8 times as much as these jobs actually pay… ) Does that sound like an efficient use of taxpayer money to you? The experts also find that the “stimulus” initiative had a near-zero impact on national income and economic growth and “modest if any spillover effects onto the broader economy.” Allow me to translate. The federal government wasted hundreds of billions of dollars to protect laughably few government jobs at a wildly inefficient rate with basically zero stimulative effect on the economy. And this one program isn’t some exception. Many of the other provisions of the massive stimulus legislation were similarly inefficient and wasteful. But please, tell me more about how Big Government can fix the economy if we just keep giving them more money and power. Finally, let’s shift to the topic that I love… sports! https://nypost.com/2022/06/19/matt-fitzpatrick-wins-us-open-2022-for-first-major-title/ Matt Fitzpatrick captures 2022 US Open for first major championship Neither Matthew Fitzpatrick nor Will Zalatoris had won a PGA Tour event, let alone a major championship. Fitzpatrick, though, fancied himself as the player who had the edge this week — not just over Zalatoris, with whom he was paired in the final group of the 122nd U.S. Open at The Country Club and dueled right to the scintillating 72nd and final hole of the tournament, but over everyone. As a teenager in 2013, Fitzpatrick won the U.S. Amateur on these very historic grounds, and he hadn’t been shy about telling anyone this week that he felt that might be the difference for him. In the end, maybe it was. Maybe it was the slightest of edges he had over Zalatoris, whom he narrowly defeated to capture the U.S. Open, his first professional win on American soil. Fitzpatrick shot a final-round 68 to finish 6-under for the tournament, one shot clear of Zalatoris… who shot, 69 on the day.
