As I mentioned in my solo, during 2024, I played with this idea and had big breaks in between drinks. I really took notice of how I felt after every time I re-introduced alcohol into my life, and I found that the cons outweighed the pros every time. I want to say first and foremost that I would never ever judge anyone for drinking, this is just my own experience that I wanted to share for anyone who is sober curious or just wants to reduce their alcohol consumption. Since New York in October I haven't had a drink, and I have never felt better. Over the silly season their were so many moments I could of drank, but honestly I have had so much fun going out, dancing and connecting without the alcohol. Being ok with being sober definitely took some time. I had an real moment at Bernie's wedding when I wasn't drinking, but still had the best time with everyone who was. I felt so happy by the music, the energy and the love in the room and I really thought ok right, this is the moment I stop drinking because I truely don't need it. Another factor adding to this choice was acne flare up a few months ago. I had to reduce my sugar consumption and make other big life changes. Reducing stress and getting off the booze has significantly cleared my skin. This was a direct message from my body to stick to the habits that had me feeling my best. I also feel like I have just grown out of the party phase in my life. I am 30 this year and I can really feel this shift in me that I am craving quality time with fewer people, rather than just small chat with big groups. I am so much more drawn to a slower pace of life. On today's episode I am going to talk about 5 learnings I've had since taking away alcohol into my life. I have really seen a big sober movement and it is super exciting to see.

I am writing today from a pretty stressful moment in my life. My mum and I were meant to go to NZ for a mother and daughter get away. We had a 7 day cruise booked and we have been looking forward to this for months. The last few days have really been a nightmare with mum being rushed into Emergency surgery on Thursday night, and then feeling really unwell post operation, to now being the day before we were meant to leave and she is back in Emergency for the week. We've had to cancel our trip and are truely devastated. I honestly don't know what I would do without my gratitude practice to be honest. Moments like this really test you, and I woke up so angry at the world, so frustrated at how unfair life has to be. I opened my journal and it was the last thing I wanted to do but I sat down and did it. It changed the narrative for me. I am so thankful mum is in Sydney for this, not stuck in the ocean on a cruise. It would of been a disaster if she was so sick on our trip. I am so grateful to live in the same city as mum and my family, and to be able to be there for her. I am so grateful for my own health and being able to go for a walk and move my body. The list really goes on and It changed my entire perspective this morning. This story leads us into the solo episode for today which is how to manage stress. This has been a top requested episode so recording it today felt really fitting! I want to preface I am no stress management professional, but these are tips and tools that have worked for me. I hope you can take away something from today's episode and if you love this episode, please make sure to subscribe and leave review - it really helps my channel.

My mission of this podcast has been to help educate you all on ways to feel our best. We have touched on clean beauty, diet, fitness and mindset but I have been missing one pieces of the puzzle. What we wear and the material it is made from play a huge role in our overall health. I recently discovered Gabby Neal, the founder of INTACT and was truely blown away by the facts and statistics when it comes to what we wear. INTACT is a Australian Merino Wool brand, whose goal is to encourage others to choose wisely when it comes to their every day wardrobes. She is challenging the norms of wool being seen as only a winter only choice, with basics that can be worn all year round.
