What up, Beasts! On today's episode of Unveiling the Beast, I'm joined by Sharon McCaskill, an intuitive eating-informed registered dietitian with a passion for helping people heal their relationships with food—especially those navigating medical dietary restrictions. Sharon shares her journey into the field, which was inspired by her husband's battle with celiac disease and type 1 diabetes, as well as her own experience overcoming an eating disorder. We dive deep into the misconceptions about intuitive eating, including the misunderstood concept of unconditional permission to eat, and why truly honoring your body means both enjoyment and nourishment. We also tackle the complicated history and flaws of BMI, why focusing on behaviors over weight leads to better health outcomes, and how diet culture has skewed our understanding of nutrition. Sharon emphasizes the power of small, sustainable habits and how intuitive eating allows for a stress-free, joy-filled approach to food. If you've ever felt like food rules have controlled your life or struggled to balance nutrition with freedom, this episode is packed with the insight and reassurance you need. As always, I hope something lands with you today. I hope something you hear tugs on your heart-strings and/or I hope you laugh. In fact, the answer might be as simple as stepping outside to catch the morning sun.In today's episode, I'm diving into an honest and refreshing conversation about health and healing with Josh Rubin of EastWest Healing. While tools like red light therapy and Dutch testing can be helpful, we discuss why it's more important to first look at your environment and how it makes you feel.Don't miss Josh's powerful insights on why healing doesn't have to be complicated, expensive, or stressful. In this episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, host Avik Chakraborty welcomes psychologist and health coach Dr. Ginny Trierweiler to discuss the deeper meaning of healthy eating. Together, they explore how food impacts both physical and mental well-being, debunk common diet myths, and share actionable steps to reset your relationship with food for lasting health. Guest Bio: Dr. Ginny Trierweiler is a psychologist, certified health coach, and author. She specializes in the connection between food, health, and well-being, having transformed her own life through nutrition after struggling with weight, inflammation, and prediabetes. Key Takeaways: Misconceptions about healthy eating, such as "all calories are the same," can lead to poor health. Real, unprocessed foods nourish the body and mind, promoting healing from within. In this insightful episode, host Avik Chakraborty welcomes Jason Gilbert, an expert in spinal care and functional medicine, to redefine our understanding of health and well-being. Jason shares his journey of transforming toxicity into a deep comprehension of the interconnectedness of mind, body, and lifestyle. He emphasizes that true health is not merely the absence of symptoms but achieving homeostasis through a balance of emotional, physical, and chemical factors. Together, they discuss the prevalent sickness model and how individuals can attain longevity and vitality by focusing on the three pillars of health: moving well, thinking well, and eating well. About the Guest Jason Gilbert is a seasoned health advocate with over two decades of experience in spinal care and functional medicine. He has hosted programs on platforms such as Fox and has appeared on television in Brazil and Peru. Jason's expertise lies in understanding how the body's various systems work together to achieve optimal health, emphasizing the importance of homeostasis and proactive health management. Key Takeaways True Health vs. Conventional Health: True health is defined by optimal body function (homeostasis) rather than merely the absence of symptoms. Many people may feel healthy while being unaware of underlying health issues. Understanding Homeostasis: Homeostasis represents a state of perfect function in the body, which can be achieved by providing the right nutrients and minimizing toxins. It's essential to monitor health continuously rather than reactively addressing symptoms. Three Pillars of Health: Moving Well: Importance of regular physical activity and maintaining proper posture to support spinal health and overall body function. Thinking Well: Emotional well-being is crucial for health; good sleep, stress management, and mindfulness practices are key components. Eating Well: A balanced diet free from inflammatory foods and toxins supports bodily functions and enhances the immune system. The Sickness Model: The common model of health often focuses on treating symptoms instead of addressing the root causes of health issues. A holistic approach that considers emotional, physical, and chemical factors is vital for long-term wellness. Proactive Health Management: Individuals should be proactive about their health by understanding their body's needs and maintaining a lifestyle that promotes balance and homeostasis for enhanced longevity. This week we are eager to have on Mr. Darko Velcek. Darko has an amazing understanding of health, and what it takes to be healthy. This individual has truly committed his life to searching for the truth. Darko speaks beautifully from the perspective of vibration, but of course this term is interchangeable. The logic is certainly there. The hymn of the episode was that everything that modern science says is backwards (for the most part). Darko has found out over many years that what is being told as the common narrative is the opposite of the truth. Trying to get healthy from the modern perspective is impossible. We explored the fundamental principles of health in this episode, covered examples on how science has flipped this upside down. We also discussed salt and Aajonus Vonderplanitz.Enjoy the episode, I know I did.Keep up with me (socials)https://www.instagram.com/beyond.terrain/https://linktr.ee/beyondterrainOur vision at Beyond Terrain is best supported by sharing our work!To go above and beyond:BCH: bitcoincash:qq7eq276ylanluc5e39unrqshkvs9xsemg07yxezf7ETH: beyondterrain.ethBTC: bc1qqwc470ktgj3l4myqxr5hq67rnlqys0qm98u6f0Learn more from and support our esteemed guest, Mr.Darko Velcekhttps://darkovelcek.wordpress.com/

Be the first to explore my new book! Join the waitlist and unlock early access to "The Subconscious Solution" plus special offers just for you! https://www.jimfortin.com/book In today's episode, we explore the concept of meditation in a way you've probably never heard before. Rather than something you do in silence or isolation, meditation becomes a state of being—one you can live in constantly, no matter what's happening around you. This deep, transformative insight redefines what it means to stay connected to your inner self, bringing peace and clarity to your everyday life. Drawing from Don Xavier's teachings, we explore the concept of being in a meditative state 24/7, integrating meditation into your daily life by staying connected to your inner world rather than being consumed by the outer world. We'll also discuss how living in the outer world is the source of most of our stress, anxiety, and dis-ease, while true healing and peace come from within. By learning to exist in a state of stillness and divine power, we can overcome the toxic effects of external pressures and live in a state of well-being and health. This episode also touches on the importance of balancing the body and being, where our body, the physical container, should never control the divine essence within. What You'll Discover in This Episode: The Difference Between the Inner and Outer Worlds (03:50): How living in the inner world fosters well-being, while the outer world leads to stress and imbalance. How to Meditate 24/7 (08:10): Practical insights into maintaining a meditative state even while engaging with daily tasks. Stress and Anxiety Linked to the Outer World (12:34): Why stress and anxiety come from living externally and how shifting inward can heal. The Relationship Between the Body and Divine Power (28:51): Understanding the balance between your physical body and the divine energy it contains. True Health and Well-being (19:37): How staying connected to your inner world supports true well-being, without letting external circumstances control your state. Transformational Takeaway Meditation is not something you just do - it's a state of being. By staying connected to your inner world and not letting the outer world control you, you can live in alignment with your divine power, finding peace, healing, and true well-being from within. It's about living in stillness, no matter what's happening around you. Let's Connect: The Jim Fortin Podcast Website Instagram Facebook YouTube Love Turner: https://www.jimfortin.com/lovetuner

EPISODE 56: REFLECTING ON SUCCESS AND A SMALL CHAT WITH REVEREND MIKI NAKURA I've had the pleasure of training in seiza meditation (quiet sitting) with Reverend Miki Nakura of Higashi Hongan-ji temple in Kyoto and the Jodo-Shinshu Shin-Buddhist New York Sangha. He demonstrates seiza but also explains the importance of hara in achieving emptiness and the meaning of Amida Buddha, which is very linked to the second Reiki symbol. Taught by Okada sensei over 100 years ago, Seiza meditation is a universal method of sitting and breathing quietly to experience a peaceful and present-focused life. We sit in a chair or on a floor cushion while maintaining proper posture, breathing, and putting full strength into the lower belly. Seiza helps the mind and body to become stable and calm. Nakura sensei offers virtual practices on Zoom and in-person sittings in New York City. He also travels the world teaching Seiza and has visited countries like England, France, Brazil, and Colombia in the last few months. You can see his full demonstration of seiza meditation hereYou can reach out to him at mikinakura87@gmail.com and access his handout about seiza meditation with step-by-step instructions on this link. When you recoil at the thought of a needle penetrating your skin and injecting you with something, this is a normal, sensible, and self-preservatory reaction. You may note that this aversion to needles is similar to how you would feel about a mosquito, a leech, a snake bite, or even a knife in your back. This is not a coincidence.Today regular SJ contributor, medical doctor and liberty advocate Dr. Clayton Baker debuts his new weekly collaboration with Shannon Joy on the SJ Network! EPISODE 54: DIVE INTO REIKI WITH NICHOLAS PEARSON An award-winning author residing in Orlando, Florida, Nicholas Pearson embarked on his Reiki journey almost two decades ago. He started in the spiritual realms of high school, where his fascination with the metaphysical first took root. His formal introduction to Reiki occurred during college when he trained under the guidance of a Reiki master who nurtured a deep respect for Japanese culture. This shaped his approach to Reiki practice significantly. Since then, Nicholas has immersed himself in various Reiki traditions, including Jikiden Reiki, Usui Shiki Ryoho, Usui/Tibetan Reiki, and Komyo ReikiDo. His dedication led him to study under several esteemed teachers, and his explorations even took him to Japan, where he connected deeply with the spiritual roots of Reiki. Nicholas has penned eight books on Reiki and crystal healing, with titles such as “Foundations of Reiki Ryoho” and “Crystal Basics” earning him accolades in the spiritual community. He teaches Usui Reiki Ryoho and crystal healing in person and virtually, sharing the wisdom he has garnered from his diverse training and inspiring new generations of Reiki practitioners to deepen their understanding of the system. You can contact Nicholas at: https://theluminouspearl.com/Nathalie Jaspar, the founder of Dive Into Reiki, is a Reiki master with over a decade of experience. She's a graduate teacher from the International House of Reiki, led by world-renowned Reiki master Frans Stiene.
