Sean Pero is a Druze pro MMA fighter from Israel. The Druze are an ethnic group with their own Monotheistic religion which has principles and traditions similar to Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. Their primary language is Arabic and have communities in Israel, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. Most of the Israeli Druze are proud Israeli citizens who serve in mostly combat roles in the IDF and often take positions in elite IDF and police units. The Druze are an integral part of Israeli society, have given their lives for the security of Israel and have a very strong relationship with Jewish Israelis. Sean and I primarily discussed MMA during our first episode together but this time, I wanted to talk to Sean about his feelings on the tragic rocket attack which killed 12 children on a soccer field in the northern village of Majdal Shams. At least one of the children injured in the attack is a family member of Sean's so this unfortunate incident is of course very personal to him. Eidan Sanker, an Israeli content creator has built the biggest YouTube Channel with almost 8 million followers as well as a massive Instagram following with 8 million. He started out as a photographer and then proceeded to buy several cars which he not only collected but then later used to rent out for events. One of the cars was a purple Corvette which is very uncommon to see in Israel since most people do not drive luxury cars altogether let alone corvettes. He saw people leaning against the car and decided to turn on the engine to scare them and later posted it online. The video blew up and so he went on to make many similar videos. After countless "Don't touch my car" videos, Eidan switched up the content ideas and added money giveaways and gold-digger pranks. Barak Swartzz started creating content only 5 months ago and has amassed an impressive following on YouTube of 15,000 followers and counting. This Week I had the pleasure of conversing with Political researcher and writer Samuel Hyde. Sam has been writing articles and research papers in all major Israeli newspapers both left and right and has been on Israeli news channels such as I24 to give his very straightforward take on the current war in Gaza and overall conflict between the Israelis and Palestinians. Regardless of how we identify on the political spectrum, we both have a very pragmatic lens when looking at the obstacles standing in the way of peace and primarily agree that the Palestinians have to accept that a Jewish state will continue to exist despite their unwillingness to accept that reality. This week I sat down with The Salukie, a YouTuber who has been making very interesting travel content in different countries and has traveled to some very high risk and dangerous neighborhoods in said countries. In the past few months, Salukie has traveled to some high-risk parts of the Palestinian territories which are completely off limits to Israelis, in order to better understand the viewpoints of the locals. His subscriber base as a result of this risky content has grown nicely, amassing a nice sized following. Recently, He started to post content which seemed very unusual, causing concern from his followers about his mental health. The 2023 Real Estate market in South Florida was a great market but many buyers were reluctant to buy with rates between 8-9%. Over the last 2 months or so, rates have been slowly decreasing and are now at a current rate of just under 7%. Harris Sultan, born in Pakistan to a religious Muslim family, moved to Australia and later became an atheist. He came across books from Charles Darwin and other atheists and after reading those books, concluded that religion and g-d were fictional ideas and began his journey into non religion. I recently came across Harris's YouTube channel when I saw his title of ex Muslim atheist and had to hear what he had to say regarding the war. After watching the video and hearing him say he was a Zionist, I had to watch more of his content. He is extremely well versed in history, understands religion and human nature on a very deep level and articulates his points in ways I was very impressed by so that is exactly why I've decided to bring him on for a schmooze. I split the episode into two parts because I had some trouble with zoom so the 2nd part will be out next week. We touched upon the war, the overall conflict, why Harris supports Israel, and what both sides need to do moving forward to achieve any kind of peace. This last week, Israel was infiltrated by the terrorist group Hamas which resulted in the murder of over 1400 civilians including men, women, and children, as well as the kidnapping of almost 200 people. In response, Israel began a bombing campaign on Gaza. The war is still ongoing but I had the pleasure of sitting down with Druze Israeli pro MMA fighter Sean Pero. The Druze are an ethno-religious group who live in parts of Lebanon, Syria, Israel and other Arab countries who don't have their own country but are loyal to their host nation. The Druze in Israel are very proud Israeli's who are required to serve in the IDF and have been an integral part of Israel's history and success. This week has been a tragic week for Israelis, both Jewish and not Jewish who have been mercilessly killed, r*ped, and kidnapped. A few months ago, Rafi was scheduled for a fight with a Kazakhstani who sent Rafi an Instagram DM asking if he likes German music and telling him he'll burn like the Nazi's burned the Jews. Rafi went on to KO Borat and send him back to his village with Azamat Bagatov and his brother Billow without having a chance to rescue Pamela Anderson. This week I sat down with UNDEFEATED MMA pro fighter Tariel Abbasov. Tariel is a Sambo world champion and moved from Azerbaijan to Israel when his mother remarried an Israeli when Tariel was 10. Tariel decided to follow Islam but has a strong connection and love for Israel. We discussed some of his past fights, his plans to join the UFC, his upbringing in Israel, and what it's like representing Israel with all the Jew hatred. Tariel is a savage fighter but his humility is very nice to see. So far, every Israeli fighter I've gotten to know has a humble but very confident attitude which I really appreciate.
