Šo tikšanos dzejnieks iemūžinājis poēmā "Oranžās stundas rasa". Mīlestības dzirkstis uzšķīlušās no pirmā mirkļa. Velti barons Grotus, Rīgas Jūrmalas policijmeistars, centies visādi aplidot jauno atraitni un iegūt viņas labvēlību, pat izrādījis jātnieka bravūru dāmas verandas priekšā, Natālijas sirds lēma par labu Lotarevam un, kā teikts poēmā, viss beidzās ar laulībām. Pēc gada pasaulē nāca abu dēls – Igors Lotarevs, kurš vēlāk pieņem Severjaņina vārdu un kļūst par vienu no kolorītākajām un neparastākajām personībām krievu "Sudraba laikmeta" dzejas pasaulē. Līdz atzinībai ceļš gan nebija rozēm kaisīts – jaunais dzejnieks izdeva vismaz 35 brošūras par saviem līdzekļiem, bet no kritikas un arī lasītājiem bija vien klusums. Savu dzejas stilu viņš nosauca par "egofutūrismu", uzsverot savas daiļrades virzību uz nākotni kā savu redzējumu un personību kā galveno atskaites punktu un kritēriju. Slava atnāca negaidītā veidā – kāds 1910. gadā publicēts dzejolis, kur bija runa par korķa viļķi "korķa tvirtā miesā", izraisīja Ļeva Tolstoja sašutumu: (apkārt bads, trūkums, dzeršana, karātavas, bet viņš par "korķa tvirto miesu"!. Kā mēdz teikt – slikta slava mēdz būt arī ļoti laba reklāma. Piepeši visi preses izdevumi un kritiķi sāka rakstīt par dzejnieku Severjaņinu un pulka klausītāju vēlējās viņu skatīt vaigā. Pats viņš vēlāk teica, ka Tolstoja nopeltais dzejolis bija domāts kā parodija, taču bijis bezgala pateicīgs slavenajam rakstniekam, jo, pateicoties kritikai, piepeši kļuva slavens. Episode 240: En hommage à Elaine Mokhtefi (Décédée le 11 septembre 2026): Rencontre Ce podcast est une rediffusion de l'épisode 83 en hommage à Elaine Mokhtefi, auteur du livre, Alger, capitale de la révolution. De fanon aux Black Panthers (Barzakh, 2019). La trajectoire d'Elaine Mokhtefi, jeune militante américaine, a, dès la guerre de libération nationale et pendant deux décennies, épousé celle de la cause algérienne. Ce combat la mène à New York, au siège des Nations unies avec la délégation du FLN ; à Accra, aux côtés de Frantz Fanon pour la conférence de l'Assemblée mondiale de la jeunesse ; à Alger, enfin, où elle atterrit en 1962, quelques semaines après l'indépendance. Elle y restera jusqu'en 1974. Journaliste, interprète et organisatrice efficace, elle assiste, remplie d'espoir, aux premiers pas de la jeune république, accueille les Black Panthers en exil et participe à mettre sur pied le Festival panafricain d'Alger.  Ses mémoires témoignent de l'effervescence des luttes anticoloniales des années 1960, vécue dans l'intimité des grandes figures de l'époque – Ben Bella, Castro, Eldridge Cleaver –, dans une ville qui a gagné avec sa liberté des allures de capitale de la révolution mondiale.  Une histoire fascinante, qu'Elaine Mokhtefi raconte avec une passion et une conviction intactes.  Elaine Mokhtefi, issue d'une famille de la classe ouvrière américaine, est née en 1928 à New York. La lutte pour l'indépendance l'a conduite à vivre douze ans en Algérie où elle a travaillé comme journaliste et traductrice. Elle s'est mariée à un ancien membre de l'Armée de libération nationale algérienne (ALN) devenu écrivain, Mokhtar Mokhtefi, décédé en 2015, auteur de mémoires très remarqués J'étais Français-Musulman (Barzakh, 2016).  Elle a obtenu la nationalité algérienne en vertu d'un décret présidentiel du 23 juillet 2026 (...). Une naturalisation qui vient saluer un engagement de toute une vie aux côtés de l'Algérie. Par cette naturalisation, l'Algérie rend hommage à une femme qui a consacré une grande partie de sa vie à défendre la Révolution algérienne et les luttes pour la liberté à travers le monde (El Moudjahid). La conférence d'Elaine Mokhtefi a été programmée dans le cadre du cycle des conférences « Histoire du Maghreb, histoire au Maghreb » co-organisé par Centre d'Études Maghrébines en Algérie (CEMA) et le Centre de Recherche en Anthropologie sociale et culturelle (CRASC).  Elle a eu lieu le 06 novembre 2019 au CRASC, Oran. Episode 238: Entretien avec le Professeur de littérature comparée Sidi Mohamed Lakhdar Barka  Le projet d'histoire orale nord-africaine vise à documenter les trajectoires de vie, les formations intellectuelles et les luttes politiques de plusieurs générations de femmes et d'hommes nord-africains qui ont contribué à la création de la culture écrite et parlée dans cette partie du monde. Le projet est né d'entretiens fortuits avec les derniers de la toute première génération d'intellectuels post-coloniaux, comme Gilbert Naccache et bien d'autres, écrivain de gauche décédé le 20 décembre 2020. Le projet s'est étendu à un effort plus complet d'enquête auprès d'économistes, de planificateurs, de nutritionnistes, d'architectes, de sociologues ruraux et d'autres professionnels tunisiens, marocains et algériens. Il s'agit de la toute première initiative au Maghreb visant à créer des archives écrites, orales et filmées du travail intellectuel de générations qui se sont battues pour construire une somme considérable de connaissances sur leurs sociétés maghrébines. Surnommé le « rossignol du raï », il révolutionne le genre en chantant l'amour, les peines de cœur et les espoirs d'une génération confrontée à une société en pleine mutation. Alors que le pays s'enfonce dans la violence de la Décennie noire, sa musique devient un symbole de résistance face à l'obscurantisme. Malgré les menaces, il refuse de quitter son pays ou de se taire. Le 29 septembre 1994, il est assassiné en pleine rue à Oran. Episode 234: Veterans, Memory and Transnational Networks of Solidarity: Connected Histories of Yugoslavia and Algeria Centering on the exchanges between Yugoslav Partisans and Front de Libération Nationale (FLN) during and after the Algerian war of independence, the lecture explores the role of memory and war legacies in Yugoslav socialist internationalism and anti-colonial solidarity. The lecture focuses on the narratives of the shared struggle for liberation, the sharing of the Yugoslav experiences of the People's Liberation War (1941-1945) and the postwar building of state socialism in Algeria, and transfers of knowledge in war commemoration. The memory of the People's Liberation War – the antifascist struggle and socialist revolution during the Second World War in Yugoslavia – played a connecting role with liberation movements such as the FLN. The war memory surfaced in the Partisans' deep identification with the Algerian liberation struggle, and different spheres of Yugoslav assistance to Algeria were based on the wartime and postwar experiences in Yugoslavia. Medical assistance represents an illuminating example, focusing on the care for the wounded and disabled Algerian soldiers, based on the Yugoslav know-how in the establishment of military medicine and disability care for the Partisans. Finally, veterans' internationalism developed between the two countries in the 1970s, involving exchanges in the field of war remembrance. Jelena Đureinović is a historian of Yugoslavia interested in memory and legacies of war in the 20th and 21st centuries. She is a researcher at the Research Centre for the History of Transformations (RECET) at the University of Vienna. Her current project, funded through the APART-GSK program of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, investigates Yugoslav socialist internationalism and the connected history of antifascism and anticolonialism. It examines the role of war legacies in the relations between the Yugoslav Partisan veterans and liberation movements from Africa, with Algeria in focus. Her main research interests include memory studies, global Cold War history and the history of Yugoslavia. Her book The Politics of Memory of the Second World War in Contemporary Serbia: Collaboration, Resistance and Retribution was published by Routledge in 2020.
