Na většině koncertů je doprovodí Yasha96 i nový hudební projekt Jakuba Zbořila (ex Strangers in the City, Billow) how to rent a room. Sat back, looking onto Rye Harbour nature reserve. There, to the ear, is the sea. From here it's out of sight, somewhere below the long shingle ridge. From this point across the reserve, it could to the ear be an aural sunrise. A wall of natural energy, lighting up the horizon with clean, white, spatialised noise. On the intervening land, stray gusts of wind swish swathes of sea grasses. Press whispily through thin wire fences. Lift circling seagulls even higher. Billow shapeless banks of cloud, from left to right of the gradually illuminating sky, water and air. In such an exposed panoramically vast space, come the timeless calls of sea birds. Animated brush strokes on a canvas that stretches from far left, to far right of scene. Each stroke, is an individual. Each, a living thing. A soul, for whom this wild open place is home. * This early morning hour is from an overnight recording we made last month from the edge of the nature reserve at Rye Harbour, East Sussex. It captures the sound-feel of wide open emptiness that you get when out and about on the reserve. It's also a rich source of naturally spatialised blue-grey and dark grey noise, produced by the sea and shaped by uninterrupted expanses of gently contoured shingled land. ** Lento is 5 today! Happy birthday to us! Thank you for listening, sharing and supporting us over five years. More here > https://ko-fi.com/radiolento

Song of the week - shoutout Sway the Billow and Triggs with "COMMA COUSINS" they stay with it! Also, maybe it's time to talk about who's the best to ever come out of Scarborough, not Pickering. The playoff picture is coming together nicely, lol shoutout to the Raps little win streak, it's time for that rebuild.
This week has been a tragic week for Israelis, both Jewish and not Jewish who have been mercilessly killed, r*ped, and kidnapped. This has been the worst attack on Jews and the State of Israel since the Holocaust and we are now in the midst of all an out war with the hamas terrorist group. This week I had the pleasure of sitting down with a man who not only shares my name but is an amazing Israeli pro MMA fighter who is working his way to the UFC. A few months ago, Rafi was scheduled for a fight with a Kazakhstani who sent Rafi an Instagram DM asking if he likes German music and telling him he'll burn like the Nazi's burned the Jews. Rafi went on to KO Borat and send him back to his village with Azamat Bagatov and his brother Billow without having a chance to rescue Pamela Anderson. S5 E12: Julianna Wagar on the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion and the Lyon in Mourning Project Sing me a song of a lad that is gone, Say, could that lad be I? Merry of soul he sailed on a day Over the sea to Skye. Billow and breeze, islands and seas, Mountains of rain and sun, All that was good, all that was fair, All that was me is gone. Sing me a Song of a Lad that is Gone By Robert Louis Stevenson Vocals and music by Julianna WagerWelcome to Tea Toast & Trivia. Thank you for listening in. I am your host, Rebecca Budd, and I look forward to sharing this moment with you. The 1745 Jacobite rebellion has been romanticized in literature and media. However, this was a difficult and complex period. The stories of those who lived during this time have been captured in “The Lyon in Mourning” manuscript, which was compiled by Rev Robert Forbes. The tragic Battle of Culloden shattered the hopes of restoring the Stuarts to the throne. The communities and social structure of the Scottish Highlands were changed forever. Dr. Leith Davis, Professor of English at Simon Fraser University and Director of Simon Fraser University's Centre for Scottish Studies, is currently investigating and creating a Digital Humanities project on “The Lyon in Mourning”. This project is a collaboration with the National Library of Scotland and SFU's Digital Humanities Innovation Lab. Today, I am joined by Julianna Wagar, Dr. Davis's research assistant, to share her thoughts on the Lyon in Mourning project. Julianna recently completed her BA at Simon Fraser University in English, Gender, and Women's Studies. She is currently working towards her MA in English at SFU. Her research interests include eighteenth-century Scottish literature, women's literature, and Scottish women's travel writing. I invite you to put the kettle on and add to this exciting dialogue on Tea Toast & Trivia. I invite you to meet up with Julianna and Dr. Leith Davis at the Centre for Scottish Studies at Simon Fraser University. The Centre, located at Simon Fraser University, Burnaby campus, provides a focal point for faculty, students, and all who are interested in exploring Scottish history and culture and the connections between Scotland and Canada in the contemporary global landscape. It is a place where the past reaches out to our time and reminds us to live boldly, with courage and hope. Until next time we meet, dear friends, safe travels wherever your adventures lead you. On this episode, J.J. Mull speaks with Richard Billow and Tzachi Slonim about Richard M. Billow's Selected Papers on Psychoanalysis and Group Process: Changing Our Minds (Routledge, 2021). This volume presents Billow's unique contributions to the theory and technique of psychoanalytic group therapy, along with introductions and explications by Slonim, the volume's editor. Weaving together various theoretical traditions and thinkers (Bion, Laplanche, the relational school, etc.), Billow extends and complicates what we ordinarily think of as constituting the “relational” in psychodynamic group work. In addition to these theoretical contributions, what remains most alive in the book is its fidelity to clinical experience. Throughout the book, vivid clinical vignettes give us a window into the dynamic, unfolding process of a clinician at work. J.J. Mull is a poet, training clinician, and fellow in the Program for Psychotherapy at Cambridge Health Alliance. Originally from the west coast, he currently lives and bikes in Somerville, MA. From oral tinctures to transdermal lotions to cocoa-butter suppositories, infusing cannabis medicine at home allows consumers to figure out their own perfect doses and avoid the high costs of constantly stocking up on pre-made products. Making usable DIY cannabis oil or salve takes some real scientific know-how. It's easy and expensive to mess it up. But if you can master it, you can make and store literally any marijuana product that's helpful for your ailments. So how do we properly extract the medicine from the cannabis flower? How do we infuse that medicine into a medium that's safe to ingest? And how do we store our new homemade salves and oils so we can continue to find relief in place of pharmaceuticals for issues like pain, inflammation, skin problems, gastrointestinal troubles, and much more? This week, host Brit Smith gets an At-Home Infusion 101 class from Shanel Lindsay, the CEO of Ardent (ardentcannabis.com) and Billow (whatisbillow.com); two biotech device companies that help consumers more easily and effectively extract and use cannabis medically at home. Shanel explains the essential steps to properly heating cannabis flower (decarboxylating) and getting the good stuff off the plant, how to infuse it into oils, milks, or alcohols, how to figure out your personal dosing, how to keep your homemade infusions fresh for longer, and how to do 'infusion boosting.'Follow us on social media @DifferentLeaf and follow host Brit Smith @BritTheBritish.Order the new winter medical issue of Different Leaf the magazine at DifferentLeaf.com or find your nearest in-person retailer at differentleaf.com/on-the-newsstandFind our new merch line at xDifferentLeaf.com

Bessie has picked up a job, while H.E.C.K. has found a fan, and not just any fan, but someone who used to modify her kind. Crochet can be a lot of different things to different people—for some people it's a way to relax and express themselves, while others like to create useful items. Some people turn their crochet into a business (or side-hustle), and of course, crochet can also be celebrated as an Art. Today we talk all about the business and art of crochet with a few people who are experts on these topics. First up Heather and Sara chat about about their favorite IDP patterns on the WeCrochet website. IDP stands for Independent Designer Partnership and is a small way that WeCrochet aims to help spotlight and support Independent Crochet designers by letting them sell their designs on crochet.com. Next Heather finds out how to make your finished crocheted goods into a business with Ashley Stallsworth of A Crafty Concept. Ashley talks about her crochet journey and transition into a crochet business owner. She also gives a lot of free business advice. Hot tip—find your niche. Then Sara introduces Tian Connaughton's program to help knit and crochet designers build a profitable business. Finally, Heather talks to crochet artist Jo Hamilton about how she "paints" with crochet, and how she found her niche as an artist using our favorite medium: yarn!
